Delicious Food, Great Staff

Jeff and Tiffany were amazing to work with! Tiffany was very quick to respond to all of my emails and endless questions. Jeff made delicious food and was sure to check in about all of the little details during our final details meeting. Their staff on the day of the wedding was wonderful. We had someone who was specifically assigned to us and made sure we had everything we needed, including the right flavors of cake for a late-night snack. Jeff really knows what he's doing and we loved working with him and his team!

Delicious service

Absolutely loved the service provided here. The setup was fantastic, the food was amazing, and their professionalism was top notch. They were a please to work with.

Jeff and his team were awesome! I got married at the Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum and it went off perfectly. Everything from the tasting to the day of was very professional. His staff was extremely helpful throughout the process answering our questions and getting what we needed. Oh, and the food was amazing! We got so many compliments, including "this is the best wedding food I've ever had!"

Jeff was so much fun to work with for our 9/30/17 wedding at Greenacres. He’s such a hard worker and his team made sure our day was flawless from the food to the drinks being served. They’re a one of a kind, top notch team!

Jeff was amazing and helped so much with our day! and the food was absolutely delicious! The wait staff was super helpful during our reception and made sure we always had a drink in hand. We owe a lot of the success of our day to Jeff Thomas and his wonderful staff! Would highly recommend!!!!

We first met Jeff when he catered my daughter's rehearsal dinner. I was so impressed with his food, service and responsiveness that he was our first choice to cater our wedding. Jeff did not disappoint! The food was fabulous. We had a plated salad and then 3 stations where our guests could pick up their plated food. Everything went perfectly. I love Jeff and his staff. They took care of all of the details, settling our tables just as I imagined and making sure nothing was left undone. I highly recommend Jeff Thomas Catering!

Jeff Thomas and his staff helped us have the most perfect wedding celebration! Jeff listened to our vision, which was different from a lot of other events that had been held in the space. He was candid when our vision was not logistically feasible or might make practical things difficult, but he did everything he could to make all of our details work seamlessly together the day of—we could not possibly be more thrilled!

The food was incredible: we had a lot of diet restrictions, and Jeff came up with a menu that had both a vegetarian and a vegan/gluten-free option. They were so creative that more than half of our guests opted out of meat, and everyone loved their meals! While the meals were incredible, the salad, hors d'oeuvres, and iced latte bar stole the show; all of this made feasible on a limited budget that JTC was happy to work with. The food was fun twists on comfort food - still elegant thanks to Jeff's artful plating, but not your standard wedding fare. People were delighted all around!

Above all, Jeff Thomas and his staff made all of our guests feel comfortable and welcome. My husband and I had a dedicated server all night; we never had to ask a friend to bring us water or anything because the incredible staff was constantly checking in. Everyone matched the tone of our wedding perfectly, which was fun and lively and community-driven.

I'm a bride who was thrilled about my marriage but not necessarily as enthusiastic about the planning of a wedding; I'm not someone who dreamed about getting married my whole life, and I was in law school and my husband was finishing his PhD through the whole planning process. We also planned the whole thing from out of state! Jeff and his staff answered our questions at lightning speed for months and made sure to eliminate every and any stress they could. It was one of the most fun, joyful weekends we have had, thanks in very large part to Jeff Thomas!

We cannot recommend JTC highly enough.

Jeff and his staff are amazing! They did an awesome job catering my wedding last weekend. They thought of every detail. They had no problem accommodating me for everything I needed. (Including 3 vegan meals at the last minute.) They are first class all the way! I can't say enough great things.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CATERER IN THE AREA!!! Jeff is so personally involved and it wasn't until I met with him that I felt at ease with the over all execution and design of my wedding. The food is absolutely amazing! Both my sister and I used him for our weddings and our guests are still raving about the food and the service. Our weddings were completely different, hers was more traditional with a sit down dinner and mine was a lounge styled reception with stations. He created the stations to be elegant and still seem high-end and not "an economical option." My husband and I were looking to create a relaxed and fun vibe at our reception without losing the sense of luxury, and of course, Jeff executed exactly that. Also, let me say, the night of my wedding, I had an amazing member of the staff checking on me, making sure I always had something to drink and eat. It was incredible so thank you Jeff Thomas!!!! He is an absolute must have.

Jeff Thomas provides much more than catering! He met with us several times to get our menu right, organize the tables at the venue, talk about flower arrangements, colors, the timeline for the night, anything you can think of he was happy to help with! He was also very accommodating to my schedule. I was an out of town bride and only had a few dates available to try the menu and meet with all of our vendors so he sent one of his chef's to my parents house while I was home so we could try our menu. Jeff and his team thought of everything, and they helped our day flow seamlessly! The food was absolutely amazing and I got compliments all night on the variety and the flavor of all of the stations! Thank you Jeff, you were great!

Of all the vendors we used for our wedding, I am most glad we used Jeff Thomas Catering. We could totally trust them with all the catering details (and more-honestly it was like getting a free event planner, too!). We felt like royalty with the way the serving staff treated us during the reception. They were flexible and willing to meet any of our requests and made the whole process fun and very low-stress. Jeff even let us use some of his frames for table numbers and candle votives totally for free. I would HIGHLY recommend Jeff Thomas and his entire company to anyone looking for a great value in a caterer!

WOW!!! Jeff Thomas and his staff are incredible! The food at my daughter's wedding was "not wedding food!" I cannot say how many people said that the food was the BEST they had ever eaten at a wedding. The staff was wonderful-helpful with out being in the way! Please use them!

Everyone raved about the food at our wedding - and the staff. They were fun, friendly, and extremely professional. We had a great time at our tasting with Jeff. He really made it happen for us. He worked with our gluten-free pescetarian diet to make a dinner that all of our guests loved. He and his staff worked within our budget and recommended some great combinations. He knows weddings, which really helped since we did not have a wedding planner. His staff was gracious and made our night really special. Lynn, the captain, and Amy, our server, were awesome. The staff helped us pack up and clean up at the end of the night which was really sweet and very much appreciated.

From start to finish, JTC was top notch. Jeff conducted our tasting in his home and treated us like special guests. It was a wonderful start to our working relationship. In follow up meetings and emails, JTC was professional and responsive. We had a stations menu (American, French and Mexican) for our wedding. The Mexican chicken mole was the crowd-pleaser. The JTC staff was exceptional. Lynn was our head table server. She was on top of everything! We didn't want for anything all night. She even gave us a gift wrapped bottle of the first champagne we drank that night. Nice touch. I highly recommend JTC.

We worked with Jeff Thomas who provided catering services for our wedding at an outdoor wedding in Cincinnati. I can not praise Jeff's services high enough! Jeff is fantastic to work with. He gave us much of his personal time to plan out the menu and give us many suggestions for the reception. His experience and confidence were amazingly comforting to someone never having planned a party before.

Our food was fabulous. We wanted a cocktail party atmosphere where our guests could wander, socialize and enjoy amazing food. We had a great menu that our guests are sill raving about. They say that it was the best food they have EVER had at a wedding.

What many do not think of when picking a caterer is the quality of service that comes with the food. Jeff's team was awesome! They were professional, kind and service oriented. We had servers, bartenders and those who executed the evening seamlessly. Jeff provides only the best and you will most absolutely have a positive experience working with his company.

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve wedding, and a large part of the experience was the excellent food and service provided by Jeff Thomas Catering. Multiple people told us throughout the evening that the food was delicious, and much better than that which you normally find at a typical wedding reception.

Jeff Thomas met with us on multiple occasions to make sure that everything was catered exactly to our preferences, and he was able to accommodate all of our requests. The staff on the night of the event was very professional and cordial, and it was comforting to know that we were in good hands.

Highly recommended.

AMAZING. Jeff Thomas, from our first meeting with him, was excited for our event, and added details and extras we hadn't even begun to think of. His food, of course, was fantastic, but moreover, he went so far beyond the extra mile of what a caterer does, he really made our wedding reception a beautiful event. I continually get comments about how wonderful the food was, how "cool" our reception was, and all of it is due to Jeff Thomas. I cannot encourage you enough to meet with him and at least share with him some of your ideas and see what he can add to them.

I should note that he also catered our rehearsal dinner in our small house in Clifton, and made that as effortless as the wedding, and our made our house and families so very happy and excited for the following day's events.

From Jeff Thomas himself, to his wonderful servers, to the extra details... he made our wedding unique and beautiful.

AMAZING!!! The food, service and value for our dollar was outstanding. Our guests still comment on the food from our New Orleans theme wedding. Jeff created a unique menu for our guests who are still talking about it a month later. The service was second to none. Lynn was our captain and she did a wonderful job. My husband and I did not wait or want for anything. The staff took care of our drinks and food all evening. Jeff and Lori are great to work with and really worked with our tight budget. JTC is a great value and I highly recommend making an investment in your catering services for your big day. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

If I could give Jeff Thomas Catering 10 stars, I would. First, we knew Jeff was great because in our pre-wedding meetings at our reception location (Ault Park) he offered insight on everything from decor to layout to things that work at AP and things that don't. Great advice. Next, we had our tasting for our food selections (stations) - the food was amazing. We were cautiously optimistic that the food for a crowd on our wedding day would be just as good - and we were not disappointed. The food and service was outstanding on our wedding day. And our guests noticed as well! To this day, it was one of the best meals I've had (and who typically says that about wedding food?).

Jeff Thomas Catering is the best of the best in Cincinnati. They worked within my budget to create a memorable and delicious meal for my wedding guests. They responded quickly to any questions or changes that were required. The service during the reception was outstanding, as well. I would use them again - and would recommend them to anyone. The food was superb.

They were on the preferred list from the Taft Museum (reception site). First time we met Jeff we knew he was the one to do our wedding. His visions and knowledge were remarkable. He's been all over the world finding the right recipes for his business. The food was delicios and we had compliment after compliment on how wonderful the food and service was. We also were told over and over how great they are before the wedding. He was a great reputation and lives up to it! They truely know the business and do whatever they can to make your reception be what you want. Never had another caterer in mind ever becasue he was the best!

The staff at Jeff Thomas are fantastic! From the initial consultation to the actual day, nothing could have been done better. Jeff Thomas himself came to my house for the consultation and then returned later for our tasting. What a great service for a busy bride! Everything tasted fresh and all my guests were very very pleased with the variety.

I could not have asked more from a catering service! Initally, I was worried about making my dream wedding come to life, because I wanted it in my mother-in-laws backyard. How was I going to pull everything together in a cost effective way, that was enjoyable for my guests. Jeff Thomas has over 20 years experience in catering, and it turned out my wedding was small potatoes compared to what he's created over the years. The have a vast menu to choose from, and are willing to mix and match to your desire. My guests (which varied from people with disability, food allergies, the young and restless, to people that don't speak English) all loved the caters service!

Jeff Thomas Catering came with our venue and we are very happy they did! The food was wonderful and we got many compliments on it and the attentive staff. They accommodate many dietary restrictions if necessary, which made things so much easier for us and our guests. The staff was easy to work with throughout the process. We only had a few issues with a couple of staff seeming to be annoyed with us and our questions when some of our own decorations were misplaced at the end of service during cleanup at the venue. I have a feeling this was a fluke. We would recommend them for any event that requires a caterer!

Jeff Thomas did an awesome Job for our wedding! I'd highly recommend them to others. It was especially nice because the staff made a point to check in with me to get me drinks so I could enjoy time with guests and not worry about getting a drink. Food was delicious too!

LOVED everything about working with Jeff. He has a mix of personality and professionalism that lends itself to coming up with the perfect vision of your event. We did stations of "country chic" food to fit our rustic, vintage wedding....he even obliged our request for locally grown produce. Everything tasted amazing and we got plenty of compliments from the guests...and I think they really meant it :)

Not your typical wedding food!

Jeff Thomas Catering definitely helped make our wedding a success. It's a bit on the pricier side, but that's because they have plenty of staff at your wedding to support catering and logistical needs. The food is great and really unique, they like to do season-specific options and let you be creative with the cocktail hour (we did a mashed potato bar!). They also make sure the bride and groom always have something to drink throughout the night :)

JTC was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and they had no trouble selecting a menu that could be adapted to be gluten-free for me, the bride. Working with Jeff was great—he was very accommodating, helpful, and went out of his way to make sure every detail would be perfect for me. The only downfall was the difficulty contacting the company... almost every email I sent was bounced back due to some error with their server. However, while frustrating, I was always able to contact Jeff directly if needed and he would make sure my question was answered or forwarded to the correct person at the business. And of course, calling always worked too :) Overall, very impressed and pleased with JTC. Thank you for a PERFECT wedding!!!

Jeff Thomas catering was fantastic. The dishes all got great reviews from our guests, the presentation was beautiful and artistic. Working with Jeff and his team to plan out the event was easy and seamless. Jeff has a keen sense for presentation and was incredibly helpful while planning out the reception floor plan and timeline for the event. Not to mention the staff was incredible - my husband and I had a dedicated staff member watch after us and our parents. Picking Jeff Thomas Catering was an easy choice as our wedding caterer!

Jeff Thomas is extremely professional and has high quality food. He provided great ideas for our outdoor wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. The guests raved about the food. I would highly recommend him for your next event. The price is on the higher side, but is worth it.

The service staff was very professional and courteous to everyone at the wedding. Very organized, food was great and did everything we had discussed. I would recommend this vendor to anyone. A little on the pricey side but well worth it!!! I have never had so many people comment on how great the staff was and how wonderful the food was. Not always do you get great wedding food!

Jeff Thomas is extremely personable and has great ideas. We went through a major change in the menu and Jeff was right on board. We received so many compliments on the food! Jeff also catered our rehearsal dinner which was fabulous as well.
Our wedding was on my father-in-law's farm and Jeff came out for our first meeting. Having an outdoor wedding on private property has its challenges - trust me - but Jeff & his staff were accommodating and wonderful.
The day of the wedding, Jeff's service staff was outstanding! I can't say enough about them. We had a buffet/stations set up and Jeff's staff brought my husband & I all our food - we didn't even have to get up. That was a pleasent surprise.
We lucked out with the weather - late Sept - it rained for 6 days straight before the wedding - and the sun came out right before the ceremony. At 10:30p the rain came back & in buckets, but by then it was quite romantic. Jeff's people ran through the rain, helped clean up and were just great. I'll never forget it.

Jeff Thomas Catering ended up being the biggest disappointment on our wedding day. Having great food and service was one of our top priorities and we were willing to pay for it. We heard from a number of people that Jeff Thomas is one of the best in Cincinnati and after meeting him booked him right away. Our wedding coordinator did say that there are caterers with better food, but his servers are the best. Jeff was great to work with during the planning and really listened to what we wanted. We were so excited to share the custom menu with our family & friends. We thought everything went great the day of the wedding. The service and presentation of the food were tremendous. A couple of weeks after the wedding we noticed that not one person had commented on the food. Many people talked about the late night snack, which Jeff did not provide. So we started asking around and almost half of the people we asked said that their dinner was cold. They all said it tasted great, but it was like someone had just taken it out of a refrigerator. We gave Jeff this feedback and he was very gracious and offered us compensation. I was impressed until I got the check which was less than 6% of the total food invoice. After the fact, I read some reviews online and it looks like I haven’t been the only person with the warm food issue.

We used Jeff Thomas for a wedding reception at the the Taft Museum of Art.

The soup that was a corn chowder. It had a lump of corn bread on top that covered most of the depth of the cup. There was very little soup. The food was not very hot. We were supposed to have received a dipping sauce for the cheesecake that was served. Also we ordered cookies. Neither the cookies nor the dipping sauce were provided and had to be removed from the bill. Also, the head server had to ask my wife how to serve the cheesecake.

If you are going to use Jeff Thomas, try to get a firm quote. They will low ball you on the upfront quote and then try to add on after the event is over. They tried to charge us for an extra server that was a trainee and they added extra server hours that were not on the original quote.

Based on the reputation of Jeff Thomas we were surprised with the issues that we had. Jeff Thomas, himself, was on vacation and I think that things don't go as well when he is not there to supervise.
