The best!!
Hiring Jeff was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. From the moment we saw him tagged in a photo from a previous wedding at our venue, we could just tell he was a kind person. We immediately felt comfortable when we met him in person, which is exactly what you want from an officiant. He walked us through the whole ceremony structure, highlighted special rituals we could add (providing each of our mothers with a rose), and really made us feel comfortable about it all. We especially loved that Jeff has his couples write a short love story that he can recite during the ceremony to ensure it's personal and tailored to each couple. We couldn't recommend Jeff more! (I wish we had a better photo to post but we wanted to rave about Jeff ASAP!) -

Absolute Rockstar!
People raved about Jeff after our wedding ended. We are so glad we had him support us for our big day. I was always a bit skeptical like do we hire someone or have a friend/family member do it (I’m sentimental) and he just totally confirmed having a professional officiant was beyond the right choice. If you ever need anything we are here for you! Thanks Jeff. It was beautiful. -

Best Wedding Officiant!
Jeff Tackett was our wedding officiant at Casa Romantica. Jeff took the time to meet with us in person and discuss how my husband and I met, our religious/spiritual beliefs and what we wanted in our ceremony. Jeff is kind, relatable and professional. My husband and I could tell Jeff truly cares about the couples he works with. He took care of our marriage license paperwork and helped us through the process. We loved our ceremony and enjoyed the humor Jeff added. Jeff even made sure to move to the side for our personal vows and first kiss. He really knows what he is doing! Thank you Jeff for being our wedding officiant! -

The best officiant ever ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My Husband and I are from different religious backgrounds so we didn’t know who would officiate our wedding. We reached out to our catering company (24 Carrots) for recommendations and that’s when we were introduced to Jeff. Upon meeting Jeff for the first time, he was extremely personable and kind. We instantly felt comfortable with him and booked him the same day we met him. Fast forward to our wedding, he showed up early which is appreciated and took the time to check in with me to talk about details. I remember feeling SO nervous and anxious while I was getting my makeup done but Jeff really lightened up the mood with his humor. His positive energy was much needed and appreciated! He is a natural at what he does. Our wedding guests couldn’t stop raving about how awesome he was and how truly special he made the wedding ceremony. Standing at the alter with my Husband and Jeff felt like we were being officiated by an uncle! I’ll never forget when I started to get extremely emotional during our vows and Jeff looks at me and asks if I’m doing okay. Jeff understands the emotional roller coaster a Bride and Groom goes through on their big day so for him to stop in his tracks just to make sure we were okay was so meaningful to us! Thank you Jeff, you really made our day! -

Awesome! Professional!
Good communication with us. Meet us before the wedding to talk about what we wanted. He is a professional! I even noticed after the wedding he moved out of the way for pictures so we could have our first kiss and pictures with just my husband and I. Jeff knows what he is doing! -

Incredible Officiant
I have known and worked with Jeff for over 10 years. He was my first choice when it came time for my wedding.
Jeff did not disappoint. His communication was fantastic and personable. Jeff orchestrated a fantastic ceremony, with love stories and our personal vows. He also added his own personal touch and direction . If you want a smooth wedding ceremony, I highly recommend Jeff.

Jeff is the best!
Jeff made our lives so easy! Our ceremony actually ended up being my favorite part of the entire wedding day, which was perfect from start to finish, so that’s saying a lot. Jeff was so accommodating of our special circumstances and so attentive throughout the entire process. We adored him! -

Jeff is the absolute best!!!! We loved working with Jeff and we are so happy that he was apart of our wedding day. Jeff was so easy to work with, was very responsive and very knowledgeable. We met Jeff at a Starbucks to get to know him and you can tell right away how much he loves what he does and how passionate he is for his work. Jeff went all the way from OC to Temecula for our Vineyard wedding, showed up on time, performed and unforgettable ceremony and took care of the marriage license paperwork for us. All of our guests couldn't stop telling us how great our ceremony was because it was so heartfelt, personalized to my husband and I, and how great Jeff was! We would absolutely recommend Jeff to anyone looking for an officiant in the SoCal area! -

We chose Jeff as our officiant and were SO happy with our decision! Jeff is so very personable and just makes you feel comfortable and at ease when around him. When we met with him the first time he explained kind of his process of a ceremony and different ways we can add personal touches to the ceremony. Jeff was great when we both kept changing parts of the ceremony last minute, reassuring us that this was not a problem. The day of our wedding I saw Jeff before the ceremony and he again was just great to be around, keeping the feeling serene. Right before walking down the aisle my now-husband was extremely anxious and Jeff helped to calm him with some wise words. He did a beautiful ceremony, explaining marriage, making some light jokes, and read a scripture reading as we had asked him. We would 100% recommend Jeff as your wedding officiant - he was great! -

Jeff Tackett officiated my wedding in June of 2017. I really enjoyed our meeting prior to the wedding. You could tell that this time was important to him and he took the time to get to know you and your relationship to tie that into the special day. We both loved creating our paragraph of our love story and thought that it really added something special to our ceremony. Our ceremony was very well written and well performed; he included everything that we had asked for in the ceremony. We received so many compliments on our ceremony and how special and personal it was and it wouldn’t have been the same without Jeff! I would highly recommend Jeff as your officiant; he is easy to work with, stays true to your wishes and made our day really special.

Jeff was an absolutely amazing officiant. Our ceremony was written and performed so beautifully; our family was so impressed. He was extremely flexible planning with me, responded well to my emails and texts, and was overall very helpful. My husband and I are not from California, so he helped us make planning a destination elopement very simple. I would definitely recommend Jeff as an officiant for any wedding ceremony. -

Jeff was wonderful, we wanted something a little different and less formal than his regular ceremony structure and he delivered. Our wedding planner told us to use Jeff Tackett as our officiant and we are SO glad we did! My (now) husband and I met him at Starbucks in Dana point and from the get go he was professional, personable, and very easy-going. He got to know us in about 15 minutes and it was the perfect amount of information that he gleaned to make us feel comfortable having him marry us. We thought we would have to do the work to plan our ceremony, however Jeff came to our meeting with a flexible step by step plan, asked us our opinion, and tailored it to our liking. He introduced great ideas for our ceremony, such as the knot-tying, gifting a rose to each of our mothers, and writing our own stories of what our wedding means to us. Our guests kept telling us all night how much they enjoyed our ceremony and how unique and personal it was. Jeff is extremely skilled in speaking in front of a huge crowd and also very aware of photography and where to position himself. He made my husband and I feel SO comfortable during the ceremony (a time that my husband and I were both nervous about). Not to mention he is a good looking dude! You will be happy you hired him!! -

Working with Jeff Tackett was great! My wife and I were a couple that did not have any previous ties with any pastors to conduct our wedding. When we found Jeff, we couldn't be more pleased with everything he helped us with for the wedding. was an absolute dream to work with. LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!! We didn’t know where to start with finding the right officiant for us. We started by watching videos of officiants and they all seemed to be quite boring and stale. We met with Jeff to find that he was the total opposite of everyone else and we knew he was a perfect match for us! He was very thoughtful and kind throughout the whole process. During out first meeting he asked us several questions and walked us through everything we needed to know. It was amazing! We hugged him at the end of our meting because we knew he was the perfect guy to make us official! He made our ceremony very personal and all about us. We received several compliments about him after the wedding, too! Rest assured when booking Jeff, he is the best officiant around. HE IS AMAZING! -

Jeff officiated our wedding in April 2016 at Dana Point Chart house. Prior to the wedding Jeff met with us twice and even gave us some homework to make the day of our event that much more special. i would highly recomment Jeff if you are getting married. He is AWESOME!!!!!! -

Jeff was awesome to work with from the second my now husband and I met him. We met at a coffee shop one morning almost a year before the wedding and totally clicked with Jeff right away. Like it was meant to be. Neither of us are religious so we didn't belong to a church nor did we have a family or friend member who we felt would be right for the job. Jeff was extremely accommodating to what we were looking for in our officiant and even helped up with our personalized ceremony. There were a couple times when I just had wedding questions about filling out our marriage certificate and I was able to call Jeff up and get a friendly reply right away. Thank you Jeff for the amazing job that you did. You were such an important part to our ceremony and did an amazing job of keeping it at the serious but light, fun and loving level that an appropriate wedding ceremony should be at. If you want a professional and just all around kind hearted officiant look no further than Jeff. We are so happy and lucky to have found him. Thank you Jeff!!!!!!! -

Jeff was awesome to work with! We booked him for our wedding back in October at the Chart House in Dana Point. We were able to meet with him right away to discuss logistics and other details. Jeff was very accommodating and overall a nice man! My husband and I liked the fact that he was neither too serious, nor too goofy. When deciding the vendors for our wedding Jeff Tackett was an easy choice! He made everything simple, comfortable and personal from the initial email all the way through the wedding day. He walked us through his typical ceremony and gave us suggestions on how to customize it to fit our relationship and needs over coffee. He kept in close contact with us as our wedding day neared. On the wedding day his positive and peaceful energy helped ease my finances nerves before the ceremony began. The ceremony flowed effortlessly at Jeff's lead. We laughed, we cried and our guest were engaged through he entire ceremony. We will forever remember our beautiful ceremony and the huge part Jeff played in our day! Thank you Jeff for EVERYTHING! -

We wanted it to be filled with a lot of love and laughter and personal to us. It was that exactly and better! Jeff is very professional, personable and fun. He will give you the ceremony you dreamed of and your guests won't be bored sitting through yet another wedding waiting for the ceremony to be over so they can quickly hit the bar at the reception. I highly recommend writing the paragraphs that he asks you to write. It will give you a more personal ceremony that your guests and your spouse will love. My husband and I had been looking for an officiant for a while. Most of them requested us to take premarital counseling, with our busy schedules we couldn't do this. Not to say this isn't a good idea, but we did not have the time or the money. We finally found Jeff and we both knew he was the officiant we had been looking for. The homework he had us do was fun for us both. When it came down to the ceremony it was as if Jeff had known us for years! He talked about everything we wanted him too, he made us feel totally comfortable up there. Really nice guy and everyone loved our ceremony! -

Jeff Tackett came highly recommended and we called him to setup a meeting. He spent at least an hour with us at a coffee shop and made us feel comfortable in our choice. He completely customized our ceremony for us and answered all of our questions.
The day of the wedding he was there at the location early and helped setup too! His calm manner helped the wedding party settle down and he kept the ceremony very light and fun! Not a dry eye around and nobody fell asleep! LOL
Do not hesitate to contact him but he books out very quickly! An incredible person that made the ceremony perfect for us. -

My husband and I would absolutely recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a wedding officiant. We found him here and met with him last year to discuss our 04.16.16 wedding. We had already contacted a few officiants and set up a meeting with 1 other potential officiant prior to meeting with Jeff (this other meeting was scheduled for after our meeting with him) which is the ONLY reason we didn't book with him the same day we met. After we met with the other potential officiant, we immediately chose to book with Jeff (they were both great, but he was - hands down - our top choice). He sent us a sample ceremony and we loved it - no changes necessary. He even suggested a unity ceremony, which was the last thing we were undecided on for the ceremony, and we loved the idea and used it. A few of our guests told us they loved our ceremony and the officiant (we did, too!), and we could not be happier to have booked with Jeff for our wedding. I would 100% recommend him for anyone looking for a well-spoken, personable officiant who is not only great at what he does but a pleasure to work with. His wife, Lynne, is also a wedding florist - we had already booked a florist prior to looking for an officiant, but her work looks wonderful and I'd definitely recommend looking at her websites if you're looking for a florist as well. If you are looking for a wedding officiant in Orange County Jeff Tackett is your guy! We are from out of town and were struggling to find an officiant for our destination wedding. With just one phone call Jeff took the time to get to know us and made us feel comfortable with our choice to use him. I had looked at countless officiants in the area who seemed to just be interested in our money! Asking for $600! Jeff was not only affordable, but was actually interested in getting to know us and being a part of our big day! He was so flexible and actually met with us for the first time in person just days before the wedding. He allowed us to adjust the ceremony to our liking and delivered a very genuine ceremony. Jeff truly did an AMAZING job and our guests are still complimenting our ceremony. Unfortunately after we had already hired our florists we found out that Jeff's wife is a florist, so ask about her talents as well! Don't hesitate to get in contact with them! Jeff Tackett was our offciant for our wedding in Huntington Beach, CA in April 2015. My now husband found him through Wedding Wire and loved reading all of the positive reviews. We arranged a coffee meet & greet and we instantly knew he was a perfect fit. Jeff is very professional, experienced, and easy to talk to. What we loved is that he already had a ceremony timeline that he usually goes by, which totally took the stress off of us! In addition, he was very open to making our ceremony specialized to our wants. We added a Bible reading and we used a Unity Cross for our unity ceremony. He can specialize the ceremony to be as religious or non-religious as you want. throughout our wedding planning he was easy to contact and responded promptly to our emails.
On our wedding day, he showed up early and was dressed nicely. Our wedding cereomy went flawlessly! Jeff, is a good looking man, so all of our pictures turned out great=). Many of our guests commented on how personalized and sweet our ceremony was (all thanks to Jeff)! I would defintely recommend him! -

Jeff is an exceptionally gifted wedding officiant especially since I have been to many weddings myself to see how others conduct ceremonies. As our wedding officiant, he took the time to understand how to integrate our personalities into the ceremony. For example, he integrated a "blending of the wines ceremony" into the overall wedding and provided expert guidance to both my bride and myself about how to more easily write our wedding vows. When we decided we might be too nervous to articulate our vows to each other, he offered to read them aloud and did an excellent job imparting our feelings for each other during the reading, i.e. NOT monotone :-P. This was one of the vendors that we knew had to be perfect. The choice on officiant is crucial because we knew he would be marrying us, in a dignified and beautiful ceremony, and we didn’t want anything to go wrong! The first (and only) officiant we met with was Jeff Tackett, and based on his personality, expertise, and overall good nature, he ended up being the only officiant we needed to meet with. During our first meeting, Jeff made sure to share his knowledge with us regarding the ceremony and even gave us ideas on different types of ceremonies we could do! We knew immediately after our meeting that Jeff was the perfect person to perform our ceremony!
Before and during the ceremony, Jeff was amazing. He made us feel comfortable and excited at the same time! Although we were nervous to begin with, Jeff relaxed us and assured us he would walk us through all aspects of the ceremony! He was amazing! He made sure to say a funny line at the perfect moment, he made sure that we were not only comfortable, but that our guests were comfortable as well! We had so many people come up to us after the ceremony and say how beautiful it was, and that is all thanks to Jeff! He has a fantastic personality, and really knows what he is doing! He made our wedding day so special and there was not a dry eye in the building! We would HIGHLY recommend Jeff for anyone who is seeking an officiant! Jeff was our officiant at our wedding. We actually had booked another officiant but due to some issues he had to cancel. This was about 3 weeks before our wedding. Thankfully we were referred to Jeff and he was available. He was very professional and made the process extremely easy. We met we Jeff and talked about what was important to us. Our first interaction with Jeff Tackett, via email, was very pleasant. He suggested we meet at a location near our home and at a time convenient for us, which I liked. When my husband and I met with him, we knew immediately we wanted him to officiate our wedding. His demeanor, professionalism and flexibility were all qualities we were looking for. We hired him on the spot! He also gave us helpful information such as where to obtain a Marriage License and even gave us "homework" for our Big Day.
30 days to our Wedding, Jeff did a courtesy follow up and provided us with a written document on the ceremony. I had my own ideas on what I wanted to be said so he incorporated all of my changes without hesitation. I appreciated his flexibility.
Our ceremony was flawless. Jeff arrived early enough to meet with my husband and his best man as well as check in with me to see how I was doing. He did a fantastic job and I loved the suit he wore. After decades, I've finally gotten married! And what a success it was. We found Jeff Tackett on this site and had one meeting with him and that's all it took. We were so pleased from start to finish, I'm finding it difficult to even find the appropriate words. He was just superb...charming, smooth as silk, with a touch of amusement, which was our wish. All of our attendees also loved him as well. He gets to know you as a couple which will assist you for the ceremony. I would honestly rate him a 20 out of 20 overall. He's a definite professional, which is really what any couple is needing, even if they don't realize it yet. There's really no need to search anymore if you're reading this. I don't plan on divorcing but if I do, he'd be my officiant/minister every single time! We checked out a couple others and they were double the price, which isn't necessary. David and I decided to have our ceremony at Montage in Laguna Beach late and Jeff was recommended by a friend of his. Jeff was very accommodating and along with his wife Lynn ( florist) they made our wedding a magical moment. They will be in our memories forever. -

We absolutely loved Jeff as our wedding officiant. I was very nervous about choosing the right person because it is a very personal thing to choose someone who is going to perform such a significant and emotional ceremony. It's important that you feel a connection to them. Originally we had some family friends in mind but those plans unexpectedly fell through and we were left to find someone to fill such an important role.
Upon meeting Jeff we felt so comfortable with him and felt like he really cared about our relationship and the commitment we were going to make to each other. He provided an outline for our ceremony and let us help him tailor it to our needs. You definitely don't need to stick to a cookie cutter ceremony, he was willing to make it unique!
He did a beautiful job the day of the wedding and we received a ton of compliments. We have been to some weddings where the officiants make odd jokes or steal the show, but Jeff was very professional and brought a warm and inviting atmosphere to the wedding and really made people feel the importance of the day.
I would recommend him to anyone for their wedding! -

My wife and I felt completely comfortable with Jeff from the first time we met with him. He was very professional and responded quickly whenever we had questions leading up to the wedding. We were very pleased with his services on the day of the wedding and glad we could share that special moment with him. Compared to many other officiants in the area, he is very reasonably priced too! -

Jeff is an incredible officiant, and is a kind, caring soul in general. He is an amazing listener and communicator. He met with us in person after we expressed interest in his officiating our wedding ceremony and wanted to get to know us as people and as a couple to make sure he was a good fit our wedding style and to make sure he was right for us as well. He asked lots of questions and truly got a sense of our love and commitment to eachother. He is a caring, compassionate man who understands a lot about love and kindness. After this first meeting, we just knew he was the right person to marry us. He tailored a ceremony specifically for us and gave us lots of time and flexibility to add to it with our own vows and tidbits. On the actual day of the ceremony he made us feel so at ease and you can just see in his eyes when he is marrying you that he is happy to be a part of your special day. His wife does flowers as well and some light photography. Jeff is an amazing person and he was definitely the right person to marry us, if you are marrying your best friend and soulmate then I would definitely suggest giving him a call and meet with him to discuss your upcoming nuptials. I could not have been happier with Jeff! He did a perfect job, did exactly what we asked and didn't make any "funny" jokes as some officiants do....he spoke loud and clearly and made the ceremony unique and special for us.... Jeff Tackett was the perfect officiant for our wedding! The way we wanted to conduct our service was not traditional in any sense and he made it special and flow easily. He's very professional and makes your wedding his top priority, but what's even better is the personal attention he brings towards your wedding. He asks about your background, how you met, what you love about each other, so there's a personal touch to your vows and commitment to one another. You can tell he loves being a piece of your journey in getting married and he has a strong belief in the sanctity of marriage. I've been to too many weddings where the officiant just reads out of his book and you repeat what he says and it's over. Jeff makes your wedding special and intimate as you commit to a lifetime with the one you love. -

Jeff was very personable and professional. He worked with his wife, who was the florist, at our wedding. We were very happy with him. I am not familiar with a normal cost of an officiant but the price seemed to be a lot for the time spent. It could be the going rate in Orange County though, I don't know. -

Let's face it. If you go to church every weekend you probably don't need an Officiant as you already have one. But if you don't, your need to hire one.
We were looking for someone with broad religious non-denominational appeal as well as someone who could relate to the true meaning of marriage. We wanted someone that was professional, both in look and what he would say ... as well as incorporate our feelings (and words) into the ceremony. We also wanted someone that "appeared" to have know us all of our life.
Jeff Tackett met all of these requirements. Short of having a personal friend who also happened to be able to marry people, Jeff was the ticket. We found him very easy and flexible in responding to our needs. What's more, he worked seamlessly with the other people (Florist, DJ, Wedding Venue, etc) we all need to be able to conduct a fun and proper wedding.
If we had a close relationship with our church, we would have used our minister. But our church has gone in a different direction and we needed someone like Jeff Tackett. Pardon the expression, but thank God he was there.
Fyi, I am a tough reviewer. Jeff's marks are excellent in my book. -
