    I had the pleasure of working with Jeff on an Omaha wedding in September 2017. As a wedding planner, Jeff and Val made the planning process for my client seamless and stress free. On the day of the wedding, they were a joy to work with from styling the invitation suite to keeping a large party organized throughout photos, traveling and formal photos post-ceremony. The Bride and Groom never felt rushed and were able to truly enjoy their wedding day.

    Words cannot even begin to describe how gorgeous the gallery of images are that were delivered by Jeff and Val. Their work is as flawless and beautiful as their approach to the wedding day. I hope to have many more clients use Jeff Sampson Photography.

    We had the greatest experience with Jeff. He's so easy going, open to ideas and he's just the nicest guy! Our wedding photos turned out to be absolutely beautiful. We eloped and needed somebody who could capture the day in a series of candid photos. He did just that. In fact, I received the best compliment just yesterday! A coworker told me that our wedding photos were the most beautiful and candid photos she's ever seen. If you want somebody to stop time and capture your most precious memories, THIS IS THE PHOTOGRAPHER YOU WANT!

    From the moment my then fiancé stepped into Jeff's studio we knew our photos were going to be amazing!! Our engagement photos turned out beautifully! Jeff has a wonderful eye for natural light turning an ordinary photo op into something completely magical!

    After seeing our engagement session photos I knew our wedding photos would be even more wonderful! Jeff and Val captured the most important moments of our day! The detail, classic but casual photos were exactly what Jordan and I were looking for! He truly is a spectacular photographer!!

    I received my wedding pic cd in the mail today (prettiest packaging ever, by the way) and I just had to write a review. If you are looking for fantastic photos, then hire Jeff and Val. I am extremely picky, and they are so incredibly patient and are very easy to work with. My husband and I are beyond thrilled with our photos. It's hard picking out a photographer for this very special day. If you're like me, you are very sentimental and you want your pictures to be just perfect. If you want perfection, go with Jeff and Val. Plus, they're really nice and fun! And they do a great job with engagement pics! If you're looking for something a little different from the run-of-the-mill wedding pics, these two are a great choice! If I had to do it all over again, they would be one of the first phone calls I'd make!

    I highly recommend Jeff Sampson Photography for any special event in your life. The husband and wife duo are extremely professional and help to ensure that the photographs of your special day capture not only the event, but those special moments you want to hold onto forever. Even months later, looking at our wedding photographs brings back all of the emotions I felt on my wedding day....a truly priceless gift.

    Jeff Sampson Photography was exactly what I was looking for in a photographer - very creative, flexible, professional, and excellent packages at excellent prices. Our pictures were better than I even imaged, which is saying something because I came to the table with pretty high expectations! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Hire Jeff and Val Sampson was one of the best decisions I made regarding the wedding. Jeff and Val are creative and flexible. My husband and I appreciate creative and journalistic style photography while my parents appreciate a more tradtional style. Jeff and Val were able to keep both of us extremely happy. From the engegement session to the wedding, Jeff and Val took beautiful pictures. We constantly have people asking us who took our engagement and wedding photos. I look forward to hiring them for all and any photography needs in the future.

    Jeff and Valerie were wonderful and adjusted our wedding package to fit our needs perfect. Valerie was able to help guide me down the right direction with questions and concerns that I had which helped make wedding planning easier on me, and needless to say the final product of the photos as well as our photo album was amazing!

    We have really been impressed by both our engagement and wedding photos!! Jeff and Val were very very easy to work with and very willing to help with any concerns along with being very timely on getting back to me. In fact, my sister and a friend have decided to book them for their weddings as well!!! I would be more than happy and willing to promote their business!

    Jeff and Val of Jeff Sampson Photography are an absolute delight to work with. They were really on board with the look and feel of our wedding day and even provided a cute suggestion or two to help me pull together details. They were happy to spend time discussing what I was looking for and are the perfect blend of friendly and professional. We have so many beautiful images from our special day, it was hard to choose which to frame. I think their style is candid, photojournalistic shots, but we still got some portraits I love. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Jeff and Val were amazing to work with! As any of you future brides start to go through this process you will soon find out how many people suck at their jobs and you have to continuously check to make sure they got things right or make sure they followed through at all. Jeff Sampson and His wife were not only awesome at what they do but truly nice good hearted people and very professional. Jeff is very creative with his candid shots and Val is super organized making my life so much easier! I always had contact with them in a very timely manner... every thing was always explained thrououghly and they were very eager to do what made us happy and make our day everything we wanted it to be! We would HIGHLY reccomend Jeff Sampson Photography and will continue to use them for any future special photography occasions in the future! You cant go wrong!

    This is a refreshing Sioux Falls business that provides a highly professional level of service that is hard to come by. My experience with Jeff and Valerie as our engagement and wedding photographers was nothing short of enjoyable. Jeff has a wonderful artistic approach to capturing the most special of moments through his lens. Valerie's attention to the details provides for a batch of photos that will document your day and leave you with memories you will always be able to look back on. Having the male and female perspectives work together was great. They were both very open to mine and my husband's ideas on what we wanted to portray through our engagement photos. They were able to come up with a few extra ideas that enhanced our photo shoot, but they never impeded on what we wanted to accomplish in our photos. They are willing to travel also which was nice for us, as we were living in Pierre at the time of our engagement and wedding. They area also great at keeping in touch with you, and don't hide from your calls, like I've heard some photographers do. They really want to get to know their clients, so that they can create a photography package they know their clients will love.
    What stood out the most to me when comparing different South Dakota photographers' work was that Jeff Sampson Photography has a journalistic approach to their photography. They don't try to overpose their subjects in a ton of shots. They like their clients to be themselves for the most part, in their natural state of interacting with each other. They'll catch the moments that matter, the actions in a human being that display and express the feelings of that particular time and place. These naturally captured shots mean so much more when looking back at the photos. Rather than having every single picture be of a smiling, overposed couple looking directly at the camera, or those over-romantic posed shots that you know you'd never do in real life on any given day, they prefer to be the fly on the wall, watching their subjects interact (although now and again they do step in to pose you if they see a good photo op).
    We are very pleased with JSP's work on our photos, from the business side to their creative sides, not to mention they are good people in general. I recommend checking out their website to see if they suit your interests in a photographer!
