Dream Photography Team

Choosing Jay Seth Photography for our wedding was one of the easiest decisions in the planning process. My now husband had been researching photographers before we were even engaged. He felt very inspired by Jay’s portfolio and when it came time to choose a photographer for our wedding, Jay was our top choice. During our first meeting with Jay, we learned that he had done previous work in both of our chosen venues and he already had a vision of the shots we should capture. Besides discussing plans for the big day, Jay really took the time to get to know us and shared stories of his own. We left the meeting feeling like we were old friends and grateful he was available on our desired date.

A few short weeks after booking Jay for our Sept. 2020 nuptials, the pandemic put all of our plans on hold. Months of uncertainty passed and finally we made the tough decision to postpone our event for a year. Jay was very good about communicating with us during the process. Even though my husband and I ended up eloping in 2020, we knew we still wanted Jay to photograph our post-elopement reception in 2021. Jay was happy to reschedule our date without issue.

In the weeks leading up to our reception Jay kept in close contact with us to finalize timing and details. He even took the time to learn about our family members and closest friends so he could acknowledge them by name on the day of the event. It is a little detail like this that you won't get from most vendors. The personal connection helped make us all feel more comfortable in front of the camera and Jay's upbeat personality kept us smiling the entire evening. Many guests even made a point to tell me during the event how impressed they were with the photography team.

I can't recommend Jay and his team enough and I haven't even mentioned the final product yet. WOW....just WOW! The pictures are spectacular. Not only are our portraits just what we envisioned, Jay and his team also did an outstanding job capturing candid moments throughout the course of our event. We are able to browse through the collection and relive the evening whenever we want. We will forever cherish the memories held within the images Jay and his team have provided to us.

Amazing time shooting pictures with young toddlers

I was recently gifted a present to have Jay come and take pics of my family of 4 (two toddlers 6 and 4 years old). Jay was such a pleasure to work with. He came with his assistant Justice and BOTH of them worked WONDERS with my kids. My kids warmed up to them in less than 10 min and hammed it up for them on the camera. More importantly, I find it incredible that he did not need a fancy backdrop to take beautiful shots. I like how he takes a blend of pose and action shots and none of them looked too "stiff" Jay took pics of us outside at a park and the pictures looked incredible. He was really flexible to work with (answering my questions before and after shoot) and more importantly, he was made us feel at ease and we look natural in the pictures. We were relaxed and just had "fun" with it when I was worried it would be a stressful shoot with 2 screaming kids. I am so beyond elated at how now I have a huge set of BEAUTIFUL pics to frame up. Some with my sons hugging and playfighting each other. so many pics to choose from which is a good problem to have =) . Overall, he's really amazing where I am going to rebook him to take pictures of my extended family.

Master at his Craft

Jay and his team including the 3 Steve's he has were amazing addition to our indian wedding. They are punctual, professional and incredibly gifted with their vision. Jay is absolutely top notch

I entrusted Jay to help me capture one of the most exciting moments in my and fiancés' lives: our engagement. Jay more than delivered. From my first contact with Jay, he was a thoughtful partner in coordinating the logistics to maintain the surprise, and he showed genuine care and excitement toward me and the occasion.

Jay and his partner captured the moment perfectly, and they were generous with the number of photos they took. My fiancé and I now have a library of photos that capture the many expressions of emotion from the pre-proposal, to the proposal itself, and to the post-proposal photo shoot. Dream team

We were so fortunate to be able to work with Jay and his terrific team for our engagement photos and wedding! They are pros: on time, organized, and thorough. They made sure to patiently include absolutely everyone that needed to be photographed. They also took the time to experiment and take artistic, fun photos. Couldn't be happier

Jay photographed my brother's wedding in 2005 and did a wonderful job, so it was an easy decision to choose Jay to photograph my own wedding 14 years later. Jay exceeded our already high expectations, capturing so many special moments. Jay and his team are so easy to work with and made us feel relaxed during the entire event. Jay's personality and sense of humor made us laugh and led to so many great photographs. He captured every single combination of our family and friends that we could have wanted. In addition to capturing lovely candid moments during the reception, Jay used the wedding venue's lovely ambiance to capture some stunning portraits. Because of Jay we now have priceless memories to last a lifetime- it's truly difficult to choose a single as our favorite since there are so many incredible photos. Jay and his team are an absolute joy to work with. Putting aside the quality of his work (which is phenomenal), its is obvious that Jay has a true passion for pictures and the people that he works with. Jay uses the best technology while maintaining and preserving the charm of old-world photography. His pictures are not overly filtered or photoshopped. They are authentic. He has a wonderful eye for his subjects and their surroundings. We used Jay for our engagement shoot (Central Park and the Vessel) as well as our Mehndi Party (we did not have a formal wedding otherwise we would have used him for that as well). The pictures were breathtaking and we could not be more pleased. Jay Seth was the best wedding related decision we made. He is an expert and his work is a testament to that. He knows exactly what photos to take, where and how to take them, and we had over 3K photos and so so many of them were perfection that my biggest complaint was it was so hard to narrow them down! Jay was also so quick with adding photos to social media and getting us our proofs.. we had at least 100 photos available to peruse on our honeymoon (that we left for 2 days after the wedding!). Jay was also so impressive at remembering everyone's names, my family and friends still remark on that! He is everything you could ever need or want in a wedding photographer. We still wonder how others could possibly charge more than him for their services.. crazy. At any rate, use Jay Seth, you won't be disappointed!

Jay Seth and his team are amazing!

Jay Seth and his team will get to know you and your family so quick it is kind of crazy. They will crack jokes at the right moment to make the pictures look great. He has the tact and smoothness to handle situations in which family members try to interrupt or hijack photography time. And then the quality of his pictures and editing are superb! This is the most truthful review you will ever get! I attended a wedding and Jay Sheth happened to be a guest there. Yes, he wasn't hired as a photographer. It gets better... when I saw the photographs they were posting on social media, I was blown away. "Oh my god! I need this photographer for my wedding!" Turns out, the photos were from Mr. Sheth's collection not from the photographer who was hired! Crazy right?!

Before hiring Jay Sheth Photography, I viewed some of his work online (again, blown away). Then my husband and I met with him for a consultation. His personality is amazing!

Fast forward, before our wedding and reception, he did a pre-shoot which was at a location of our choice. It was BITTER cold that day but him and his staff kept working hard and made the situation work. His vision is indescribable.

The wedding and reception photos came out amazing. The candid photos from the wedding are extremely beautiful. NOT ONE BAD PHOTO! WOW! The best thing about Mr. Sheth and his team is that they take direction very well from their clients. I can vouch for myself - any idea I had with photography, they never shut it down - they took my idea and ran with it. Everything was perfect!

Do yourself a favor - hire Jay Sheth Photography for all of your events. You won't be disappointed! I know I wasn't!

From the moment my husband and I went to Jay’s studio in NY, we knew he was the photographer for us! Not only was his portfolio absolutely stunning but you could see the passion behind his work. He made us feel comfortable from the beginning. Fast forward to our wedding day, we couldn’t have asked for more. Jay and his team made a day that can be very stressful, calm and reassuring. Jay did an amazing job for our pre-wedding and wedding photo shoots. Jay and his team were a dream to work with! I was planning to propose to my girlfriend in New York on holidays.

Currently living in Australia, I emailed Jay a few photos of locations around NYC without really knowing their exact locations, him and his team made the process incredibly easy and stress free.

Jay Seth and his team of professionals were fabulous to work with for our pre-wedding and wedding events! I personally hate getting photographed and the team not only made me and my husband so comfortable and relaxed through every session they captured some of the most precious, beautiful and amazing memories we could have hoped for! It's been 9 months and I still get all the feels whenever I look at any of the stills captured by Jay! Jay is very open with his communication style and also adjusts based on the individual, he was flexible with us for our pre shoot we wanted variety and he delivered these absolutely breathtaking even shots of us in Dumbo. Jay Seth, and his fellow photographers Camila and Steven, were fantastic. My lovely fiancee and I had an outdoor photo shoot in late July in Brooklyn. Jay and Camila and Steven arrived were professional and friendly right from the start. They motivated us and found the best locations for photos. They made us feel cheerful and varied the backgrounds in order to keep things interesting and unique. And along the way they dazzled us with their positive attitude, wonderful sense of humor, and outstanding communication skills. Moreover they processed our photos with alacrity and we continue to have a magnificent relationship with them to this day. We're even more excited for our wedding now. On a personal note, I started off on the wrong foot that evening, caked in sweat and likely emitting a foul and unpleasant odor, feeling like I was about to disappoint everyone - including my lovely fiancee. My fiance and I contacted numerous photographers for our big day and none compared to Jay Seth. We were blown away by his work for our friends weddings and knew we had to book him for ours. From the second we contacted him we felt at ease and felt as if we gained a friend more than a wedding photographer. Jay Seth and his team of 2 shooters were an absolute pleasure to work with! After searching through ~15 photography vendors, my fiance and I chose Jay to shoot our engagement party. We used Jay Seth Photography for our wedding last spring and they were amazing! We had a large wedding of over 500 people and they captured the day beautifully. Jay was amazing!!! His ease of scheduling to site selection for the photo shoot were impeccable. He is a different photographer than others! We used Jay to shoot our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. Words cannot express how talented he is! He has a unique ability to capture moments and subjects; especially those candid moments that other photographers may miss. Jay is a consummate professional. During both the engagement shoot and wedding day he was on time, incredibly personable, and made sure we never felt rushed. Jay Seth is one of the best photographers you can find. He is extremely talented and is very professional. His landscape photography is absolutely stunning. He was the official photographer at my daughter's wedding last september and henna and sangeet night also. My husband and I were extremely impressed with Jay Seth Photography. We are so grateful we had them for our three days of wedding events. Working with a photographer involves the process of getting your pictures taken as well as the pictures themselves. Regarding the process, in the past I had never been good at getting my picture taken and was uncomfortable doing so. Jay put me at ease right from the beginning. He made me feel at home, and I felt comfortable with him and his team. He is easy-going and affable and a very sweet gentleman. My fiancee and I worked with Jay for our engagement photoshoot. Before we even met for the shoot, Jay was available and responsive to my millions of questions. He took an effort to get to know who we were individually and as a couple so that our personalities could be incorporated in our pictures. He also gave us lots of suggestions and options so we could best maximize our time and get the kind of pictures we wanted. We only had an hour, but I wanted pictures in a range of locales, and he was very willing to make that work. On the day of the shoot, Jay arrived promptly with his staff. I'm usually camera shy, but they were all so much fun and made us feel comfortable so that we could loosen up in front of the camera. They also provided specific directions (which we definitely needed!) so that we could look our best in the pictures. They weren't afraid to get in the busy streets or balance on top of fountains to get the best shot. The pictures themselves were amazing works of art and Jay was very quick getting them to us. We are so happy with how the pictures turned out and have gotten many compliments. Working with Jay Seth Photography was a wonderful experience for us.

Jay and his assistant Elvis were amazing to work with. They have such an eye for more than just photography. They truly are artists. They made my fiance and I feel very comfortable and not at all nervous. Jay and Elvis really payed close attention to detail whether it be lighting, placement or moving 1 foot over because the shot would be better. Jay and his team were the best!!! After searching for hours (and days) online for a wedding photographer, we were in awe of Jays work. Our first meeting with him, we sealed the deal. I first heard about Jay Seth from one of my girlfriends who had already hired him for her engagement session and her wedding. I loved her engagement session photographs and was super excited to work with him for our engagement session too. Scheduling a date with Jay was very easy and he was so flexible with our busy schedules. He suggested multiple locations and really listened to what type of style and look I was going for. Ultimately we decided to shoot in Central Park, and he found the most beautiful places to shoot. The entire time he made us feel so comfortable and relaxed and I think our photographs really show that. He knew how to position us and instruct us to make the pictures even more beautiful. We had a little bit of rain during our session, but you never would have known looking at the photos because he is so professional and knowledgable in lighting/ photography. After our session we received all of the pictures he took and they were beyond anything that I would have expected, they were amazing. I wish I had heard of Jay sooner because I would have wanted him to shoot our wedding too. Unfortunately we had already booked another photographer for our wedding before we even met Jay. I give Jay Seth my highest recommendations, and have referred my close friends to him as well!

Where do I even start?! To put it simply, Jay & his team are amazing! I had seen some of Jay's prior work so I knew we would be getting quality pictures but had no idea that we would be getting so much more than just good pictures. Good is an understatement - the photos from our wedding are breathtaking! The best surprise was how much fun Jay was to work with! They gave us the perfect amount of direction to help us pose and they gave us an amazing blend of candids, portraits and artistic shots. My biggest dilemma now is trying to narrow down which photos to print and hang since I love every single one! Jay helped us from start to finish by suggesting timelines and we are so happy we gave him full control of where/how/when to take our photos throughout the day- we let Jay go with the moment and ended up with some unexpected sunset shots by battery park and some unexpected shots from the roof of our hotel. My suggestion is for the bride & groom to let go a little and let Jay do his thing! Other points worth noting are that he has the ability to get family/friend portraits done quickly and easily, he knows how to direct you when posing (we're not all models so we need the help!), and he somehow manages to capture every single moment without you noticing him or his assistant! We booked Jay shortly after our engagement. He was the photographer for quite a few family weddings, and he was highly recommended, and now we know why. Picking a photographer to capture one of the most important days in your life is one of the biggest decisions you will have to make, and Jay and his team exceeded all of our expectations. Jay’s prices are competitive, and is definitely worth every penny!

We had our engagement photo shoot, which gave us an opportunity to establish a great rapport with him and his team. Both my husband and I are not used to the photography experience and felt awkward in the beginning. Jay was able to make us relax and laugh after a few minutes. When we saw the photos, we couldn’t believe that was us. The background, composition, and colors are like art work, while we still look happy and real in them.

He had a plan for our wedding day events and had prior learned our family tree in our to construct photos. The photos were outstanding and also the video. The man has talent and created an experience through photos for us to remember. He and his team has my highest recommendation from me, my new husband, and families!

Jay and his team were amazing to work with!! My husband and I really felt like we found the perfect photographer for our wedding. Jay was very timely, professional and has a special way of making everyone feel at ease during pictures. Selecting your wedding vendors is a tedious process and probably the most important in the wedding planning process. Once you select your vendor, you are not just working with them on the day of your wedding but throughout the planning process and many times even after. Choosing Jay Seth Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! They were prompt with their email responses before and after the wedding. They never made us feel like they didn't have time for us or we were asking for too much. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day, every detail was captured so beautifully. My husband is not a huge fan of taking pictures and thinks it's a waste of time so I was a little nervous about the engagement shoot but he actually had so much fun taking the pictures..thanks to Jay and Elvis!

For our wedding day, this staff was amazing and did not have to be directed for anything. They were professional and prompt for every big moment throughout the day. Their high spirit was commended by many of our friends and family members. Jay's humorous personality made everyone feel comfortable during the picture taking process. Every single person was captured in their own element.

Planning an Indian wedding can be extremely time consuming because you want to make sure every detail (traditional and other) is executed properly. We spent a year and a half planning the small details that went into our wedding day and are so happy every time we look at the pictures that ALL of those details were captured by our photographers. When I look at my vidaii pictures, I can still feel that emotion. When we look at the picture of when we first saw each other, we still get goosebumps. When we see the pictures of the first dance, speeches, dance floor wildness...we relive the experience all over again. This is all thanks to Jay, Steve and Elvis for making sure these moments were captured to be our everlasting memories.

Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with. He helped us become more comfortable in front of the camera, and truly had an amazing vision for the photos he took.

We had a great time during our pre-wedding shoot and he truly went above and beyond to make sure they were perfect.

During the wedding, he made us feel at ease and calmed our nerves to make sure we were always smiling. He was efficient in making sure we got photos with all our family, and was nearly psychic when it came to capturing the perfect candid shots.

He's responsive, understanding, and extremely professional. We highly recommend him.

Jay Seth is amazing - from his demeanor, ability to make bridge and groom smile, ability to calm a room to his beautiful pictures. We hired him for our wedding and sangeet and did a great job with everything and was very prompt at getting us our proofs and wedding album. He is also very classy and blends in with the crowd really well - we didn't even feel like he was there, which is not easy for a photographer to do. Jay has decades of experience and I've been to many weddings with Jay as photographer and wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Jay Seth was my sangeet, wedding, and reception photographer (as well as my sister's 13 years ago) and he was amazing! Jay is a very pleasant, light-hearted person to work with and has a great eye!! He kept to the day's schedule that I had provided him and managed to keep me and my husband laughing for all 3 of our events. I must say that he along with my makeup artist captured a very unique/striking shot of me which I have gotten so many compliments on (thank you Jay)!!! If your looking for a photographer that provides a variety of photos (traditional, modern, abstract) -- Jay Seth is the photographer for you. His casual shoot (pre-wedding) is so much fun. You can pick from a variety of locations and just have fun while he takes pictures of you and your fiance. The album and enlargements he provides are Impeccable as well!!
I would definitely recommend his services!

Jay Seth was our wedding photographer and videographer and he was just wonderful! He kept the day going on pace, kept everybody focused and laughing, and was able to capture all our family portraits within the short time frame we had. He got a good mix of very traditional shots to some more modern/abstract photos.
I would highly recommend his services!

Jay and his team kept us smiling the whole weekend. We have only seen our preview pics so far but they look awesome and we can't wait to see the rest! He also traveled to Baltimore for our wedding which was a huge plus.

Jay and his team are awesome! Amazing photographers. They photographed our wedding. Their work is really a work of art. You'll be amazed at what they come up. They have an awesome eye for shots and then know how to capture just the right expression to get phenomenal pictures. And Jay and his team are also really great guys. They make you feel comfortable which goes a long way given it was the first time we were ever doing a shoot. They also did a casual shoot two months before the wedding which was a great idea. Got us all comfortable with each other and had a whole series of shots that came out of that which we used throughout the wedding. I'd highly recommend Jay to anyone. He has the experience and is still in it to do quality work. I don't think you'll find better.

I had an engagement shoot in NYC with Jay Seth. He was patient, and gave my fiance and I great instructions on poses. I've worked with other photographers, and I have never been as impressed as I was with Jay. He took so may shots (different poses, locations, lighting, angles, etc.). The photos were super creative and looked great.

I would definitely recommend him!

We met four photographers who were all talented, but it was Jay’s personality that drew us in. He was so easy to work with and his work is incredible. We had our engagement photoshoot in Brooklyn and he knew exactly which locations and what poses would make us look our best. On the actual wedding day he was patient, respectful, and all around fun to work with. If anyone looked tense during photos, he knew how to put them at ease. Even though we would question certain poses, the results were nothing short of amazing. Our photos look so beautiful that we have so many favorites. We truly enjoyed working with Jay so much that we gifted my sister and her husband a photoshoot with him as an anniversary gift. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Jay was our wedding photographer and was absolutely wonderful. He also did an engagement shoot, our pre-wedding events, and most recently, our pregnancy and newborn photo shoots. Jay has been with us through so many milestones for our family and our house is currently filled with his pictures and albums.

For our wedding, Jay was the utmost professional, always knowing what to say, when to give guidance and when to just let me, the bride, take control. On the day of our wedding, Jay kept us all calm and in great spirits with his pleasant personality, sense of humor and professionalism. I was confident Jay and his team were capturing all the right moments, people and memories. The proofs and the albums were spectacular. The hardest part of the whole process was selecting the top photos for the album - there were too many amazing pictures!
