I can't begin to explain how great of an experience having Jay as our wedding photographer was. Every interaction we had with Jay was a pleasant one. He responded, in what seemed like seconds, over email/phone. He is very professional and personable, and really just a great guy. He leaves a line of communication open, and I never felt like I was bothering him, he answered all of my (many many) questions promptly and with kindness. His contract is straightforward and detailed- he is a very detailed and organized guy, and we LOVE that!
Day of the wedding, he showed up ON TIME (!!!) and got right to it. He gives great direction and knows what looks good on camera! He went above and beyond for us and managed to accomplish a 30-person photo!
Jay made sure to capture the little moments of our day, and for that I can't thank him enough. He really loves what he does, his work shows that. Our pictures and video exceeded our expectations. He did a superb job. I can't recommend Jay enough.
So, if you've made it this far in this review, I'll leave you with this: if you want a wedding photographer/videographer who cares about YOU and his work, is prompt, funny (giggle fest), professional, personable, and genuine, then Jay is your guy. If I had to do this over again, I would still choose Jay. Thanks again Jay for capturing our day. It means the world to us to have such beautiful memories, and we'll cherish them forever.

Look no further than Jay of Sororal Twin Studios - book him immediately for your wedding day! Jay came highly recommended from friends who got married last year, and it was truly the best recommendation we could ever have received! We hired Jay immediately after their recommendation and are so happy we did. From our engagement photos through the wedding day, Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was communicative, on time, fun to be around, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get the most incredible shots of DC, including scaling the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on a crowded April Saturday, knowing how meaningful the monuments are to my now-husband and I! Our wedding party RAVED and continues to rave a week later about how wonderful and stress-free he made our wedding party and family photos on the day of - including expertly managing photos with two toddlers who would have preferred to be napping! :) We could not have asked for a better photographer than Jay and will be recommending him to everyone we know. Jay is an incredibly gifted photographer. I first met him when he photographed my sister's wedding 4 years ago, and knew that I would want him to one day photograph my own wedding. On a day when you want to capture every single moment, it's SO important to have a photographer with energy and an eye for detail. Jay was EVERYWHERE on our wedding day. The photos of our ceremony were from every angle, and he did it all inconspicuously. He even popped up all over the dance floor to take pictures without disturbing the dancing. Jay made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. Between our engagement photos and our wedding photos, we have so many gorgeous shots to choose from. Our home will have lasting memories on the walls thanks to his beautiful work. Jay is the total package in a photographer. He studies the area, knows when the sun will set, and has an artistic eye... all little details that prove he deeply cares about his clients. His talent shows in every beautifully captured shot. Jay did my engagement shoot and wedding day. He was super professional and knowledgeable. Like most young couples, we had no idea how these photo sessions would work and he told us exactly what to do while making us feel natural and comfortable. He knows Baltimore very well so he took us to the perfect places for our engagement shoot. On the big day he managed large groups of family and friends with ease. I would highly recommend him! -

Jay is a top-notch wedding photographer. We hired him for our November 2018 wedding and I am so happy that we did. He is the epitome of professional and talented. His communication in the months leading up to the wedding was impeccable and I felt like he knew exactly what we were looking for. On the wedding day, our wedding party raved about him and how kind and professional he was the entire day. He seemed to be everywhere at once, but never ever in the way. He was extremely flexible when we had to make some last minute changes due to weather. We got our pictures within several weeks and they are GORGEOUS. Our family is so happy with them and we have received multiple texts even weeks after the wedding commenting on how great our photographer was. Can't go wrong with Jay. -

Jen Sent on 10/08/2017My now-husband and I found Jay via his positive reviews on this site, so it's only appropriate we leave him a well-deserved positive review of our own so others can make the same smart choice we did! Jay was the first vendor we hired or even met with. Being newbies to the whole wedding planning thing, we were super impressed at how organized and knowledgeable he was upon our initial discussion - and his calm yet confident demeanor, along with the many photos he showed us of his work in similar venues, helped seal the deal. In the months leading up to the wedding, Jay was extremely responsive to any questions and flexible to any alterations. The day of the wedding, he showed up early, was his calming yet fun self during the bridal party and family pictures, and seemed to always be in the right spot to capture all the memories during the ceremony and reception. And his work didn't disappoint in the least! We received the over 2000 photos on a flash drive that we can now share with family and friends or print ourselves (or order through him!) in a timely fashion and with a special surprise gift to boot! We've received tons of compliments on the photos, and I especially appreciate how he used the natural lighting of each space to enhance the shots. We had our bridal party pics outside (in Camden Yards!!), our ceremony pics in front of huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and our reception pics from dusk into night in a room with overhead lighting and orange uplights - and all looked great! Can't recommend him enough!

He showed up on time, and managed his time very well with all the last minute changes. He took charge and rounded up all the people that needed to be in the photos and stayed right on schedule, all while maintaining a positive, professional attitude. He captured all the emotion of the day, all at the right moments. And the photos look amazing! Highly recommended! -

Mike Sent on 07/14/2013Jay is very easy going and comfortable to work with. We used Jay for both our engagement session and wedding ceremony. The pictures were great, and his style very creative and original. He specializes in photo journalistic pictures, which is what we were most interested in instead of tons of posed shots. We got tons of compliments on our engagement pictures, and I am confident we will be happy with our wedding shots when we see them. We wanted to incorporate our golden retriever in a few of our wedding and engagement shots and Jay was very patient and open minded about it. We also had several children in our bridal party and he was patient when working with them too. We probably interviewed more photographers than any other vendor, and chose Jay based on his value, as well as his style. I am very pleased with our choice! -

Heather Sent on 03/26/2010Jay was absolutely amazing; the whole process leading up to the wedding was a breeze. At the wedding, he never left my side, he was able to capture some of the best moments of the wedding and every picture turned out just fantastic. I don’t think I could have chosen a better photographer for my wedding. My proofs were back to me within just a few weeks and they were more than amazing. Whenever I emailed Jay he would always get right back to me, he dressed better than some of the people at the wedding which was defiantly a plus; I hear that a lot of photographers tend to dress not so professionally. I would recommend him to anyone – if I could give any couple advice, spend the money on the photographer rather than food for an example, your pictures will what you will be looking back on for the rest of your lives!
