From our very first consultation, I knew we clicked with Jay. He didn’t just photograph our wedding day, he captured us — every intimate moment, every raucous celebration, and all of our personalities. It seemed he was part photographer, part hype man, and part guest in the best way possible. He handed me my drink, encouraged the ridiculousness, and kept the energy up all night long. Our raw video arrived almost immediately, and the sneak peeks shortly after — both were absolutely perfect. If I ever need a photographer in Florida again, I would only use Jay and his team! -

Wow, oh, wow. I am blown away with how phenomenally Jay and his team captured our wedding day. Jay took the time to learn what mattered the most to us and made sure that was captured throughout our day. He was such a pleasure to work with, very professional and easy going.
Not only did Jay capture special moments as they happened, he has this incredible ability to create new ones. He sees a space and the people in it, and is able to picture natural interactions that will photograph beautifully. If he asks you to do something, lean into it, he has a vision.

I don’t know where to begin when it comes to describing how thankful my husband and I are to Jay and his team! It was easily the best money we ever spent on our wedding day, and it was worth every single penny. We entrusted him with video, photo, DJ, and photobooth services for our wedding! So we were a bit nervous given how big of a role he had, but gosh did he come through! Not only that but he went above and beyond any of our expectations! And I was a nervous bride!!
My husband and I were super lost after the ceremony; there was way too much going on, it had rained all day up until before the ceremony so our timeline was completely off. And Jay led us into each next step. My husband and I joke around saying he was our northern star! I was so overwhelmed, and even though I had written a really detailed timeline, I could not even think about it or remember anything, so Jay came in clutch and guided us every step of the way! He is much more than just a photographer, he guided us to get good shots, stayed organized and kept us in track when we needed it most to make sure we got our value out of the wedding. He even got people moving on the dance floor and set up line dances, conga lines, and hyped guests up for moments like the sparkler exit. Not only did he helped us get portrait shots, he also organized us, family, wedding party to get candid shots on the dance floor, introductions, and other key moments! He coordinated really well with other vendors to make sure the day would go as seamlessly as possible and got us involved in decision making when needed! He was simply amazing! He took care of what we didn’t even know we needed and that is where his expertise in wedding shines through! Not to mention the dreamy, magazine cover worthy pictures we have already received!
The DJ, Kaleum, was amazing too, he brought a lot of energy to every key moment in the wedding, and kept the dance floor lit! I remember walking in during our introduction and it was the most magical moment looking at everyone hyping us up, the lighting set up perfectly and the music spot on, while the DJ hyped everyone up! It felt like I was walking into the most lit party ever!
Although some guests/wedding party may think he can come off a bit sharp, believe me, that is the quality every wedding needs from a good photographer. I certainly appreciated it so much because I have a hard time speaking up for myself. It is hard to control a large wedding party, ensuring the couple is getting great photos and making the most of time, and having him knowing what needs to be done, and putting his foot down is a MUST. He advocates for the couple and still manages to do so in a very polite manner.
I could write pages about how much I would recommend him! He is simply well worth it and our best investment for our wedding! If you are looking for a solid, amazing photographer and videographer and a vendor that will make your day less stressful, and have dreamy, amazing shots, you have found it! We also highly recommend bundling his services, as it made everything so much easier and effective! Our wedding day was amazing and I certainly have Jay to thank for that!

Phenomenal!
Jay was the absolute best to work with. He took our engagement photos and our wedding photos. His work is flawless. When several things went sideways his professionalism led the way and made the whole night come together. I could not more highly recommend his work. We got our initial photos back and were blown away by them. We also got his lighting package for our reception and it brought everything together. We love Jay and will shout it from the rooftops. -

Jay did our engagement and wedding photos. We have not seen our wedding photos yet (it's only been 3 days) but our engagement photos looked amazing and came super quick. Jay was also super sweet and helpful with everything. 10/10 wpild highly recommend with no hesitation at all and would definitely book again.
Update: we got our sneak peaks back and my husband and I could not be more thrilled with them. We are absolutely in love and can't wait to see how the rest turn out 🥰 -

Forever Grateful
Magic, what they captured and what they did, just magic above and beyond skill or talent.
Jay Grubb put together and amazing team for my wedding and captured the most beautiful moments, both candid and dramatic that we can cherish forever.
Other than making sure my husband showed up and our vows were exchanged, photos were the next most important thing for me when prioritizing vendors. I must have interviewed some 110 different photographers and videographers. I was looking for a professional team that needed little guidance from me, that I could trust to capture my shot list, all the candid shots of our friends and family, would be there the whole of the event, could manage my husband who doesn't like people in his face at all, herd the cats that were my wedding party (myself included), were kid friendly, and the editing skills for a dramatic effect in lighting and color.
Jay came through with meeting all the above criteria. He had endless patience with me, my wedding party, and my husband. When I had specific requests for shots, he was upfront and candid about what would be required to make the shot, made professional suggestions for alternatives, and just in general was informative and lovely to work with.
I also went all out after speaking with Jay - videography team and a photo booth as well! The videography team was led by Lee, who was an absolute joy to interact with and the smiles and laughter he generated in all of us were just a bonus. Our photo booth was fun, interactive, and Ariana manned the station all night to ensure everyone used it to best effect and got their fun printed out or emailed to their preference.
The teaser photos came almost immediately and the remainder came shortly after. Jay remained in communication with me after the wedding, his website and client portal were a fountain of useful information both before and after the wedding, and all around the whole team was amazing and wonderful to work with. Looking back at the photos, I feel beautiful, I see the love and happiness in everyone's faces. I am so incredibly happy with Jay, Lee, Ariana - the work leading up to the event answering questions, making decisions, the laid back professionalism and fun they brought the day of that made us all relaxed and often full of laughter, it was amazing. And the photos I have now! I tear up looking at them, I didn't think it was possible but they captured the joy and love of the day in such a way you can feel it in the photos, even the photobooth shots. -

Our investment with Jay was well worth it! I booked Jay's company for both photography and videography. My wedding involved three different locations: a hotel for getting ready, a church-based wedding ceremony, and the Lake Mary Event Center for the reception. Jay was extremely flexible with us and navigated through each location seamlessly. He was able to find great photo locations in each venue. The getting ready portion of my wedding was very stressful, however, Jay and his team had a reassuring presence and took initiative in solving any problems that arose. They helped me enjoy my wedding day without all of the stress! I highly recommend them for any wedding or event.
We also had our engagement photo shoot with Jay! He was very easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable for the session. Our photos came out looking amazing! I am very thrilled with our experience. -

I could write a novel on the incredible experience we had working with Jay. He made communication easy, has incredible wedding planning resources and suggestions, and made us feel at ease during an exciting and busy wedding evening. My husband and I married the end of December and in such a busy time of the year I felt as though we were his only clients, despite what I knew was a booked season for him, due to his attention to detail, understanding of our nervousness in front of the camera, and directing large groups with ease. Fantastic!
We hired Jay for our wedding and from the beginning he was absolutely fantastic. He was always great about texting me back in a timely manner and answering all of my questions. I was quite nervous about hiring someone I had never met that lived hours away from us but I’m really happy we went with him. They showed up before they were supposed to be there to make sure they were set up and also Jay had lots of tips for a bride who had obviously never been married before. He also made sure we got all the pictures we had wanted but also surprised us with some pictures we had no clue he took. I didn’t come from a very lovey dovey family so being so close and personal with my parents was a little awkward but Jay would always mention something to kind of get us closer and get better pictures. He definitely knew what he was doing and led his team pretty well. The 3 guys that came with him were awesome too! We are still waiting on the rest of our pictures so once we receive them we’ll leave another review but we received our video and teasers super quick! Thanks Jay! -

Jay and his team were amazing to work with. We booked him for our 2022 wedding, and from the very beginning he was responsive and answered all of our questions. We booked our date well in advance and Jay was in contact the whole time. I enjoy his website, it is very client friendly and includes details for his packages, you can book your sessions/add ons, and he offers samples for those dreaded day-of timelines. He is very detail oriented and helped me feel very prepared prior to my wedding. He sent follow up emails with reminders when something was approaching a deadline- it was a procrastinators dream!
On the day of, Jay and his team were very professional. I trusted him to curate our photos and video with his artistic eye and everything turned out beautifully! He has a very easy going personality that made me and my nervous bridesmaids lighten up and enjoy the session. Jay was great with pose suggestions and was able to get our family/wedding party photos done quickly but efficiently. He captured some really fun/candid shots but managed to get all of the serious/posed moments as well.
His professionalism and personality made Jay a joy to work with and I am so excited to see the rest of my photos! I highly recommend! -

Jay is simply amazing!!!
He did our wedding pictures and engagement photo shoot as well. He puts you right at ease and makes everything fun. We met/talked with him a couple times and he captured exactly what we were looking for! He knows all the good spots for pictures.
We also had a live streaming for our ceremony which was awesome and really appreciated by everyone who logged on during our special day! The videographer was so discret we almost didn't even see him there.
Jay was also amazing with candid shots so much so that there are so many pictures we had no idea he was even taking, but we really love them!
I would hire Jay again anytime and really highly recommend him and his team. He gave us memories that will last a lifetime! we can't thank him enough and are sincerely so pleased to have been able to have him with us for our special day. -

I cannot say enough about Jay and his team. They were amazing. They worked hard to get the shots we wanted even with the delays that occurred throughout the day. He was flexible and communicated what we were doing. All of my guests are excited to see the photos and video because they could see how much the team enjoys their craft. The slight celebration for getting the perfect shot they were going for, speaks volumes.
Alan and I were so impressed and really enjoyed working with everyone. The day goes fast, and you have to be flexible, and have trust. 100% we trusted Jay to be able document our special day. Of course I had envisioned certain things, but I am also not a professional photographer, which is why I hired Jay, he was able to be flexible and communicated why he was doing what he needed to do so he can deliver what we dreamt of. Trust the process, and hire the best!

Jay did both mine and my husband's engagement and wedding photos! The engagement photos were fantastic and we felt so much more comfortable knowing who we were working with for the wedding. We just had our wedding this weekend and Jay was great again! He was very organized and stuck to the schedule and got a great variety of photos. He brought his photobooth as well which was awesome! Everyone had a blast taking photos and videos and being able to send them immediately to themselves and my husband and I had fun getting to look through all the photobooth photos and videos later. We haven't gotten our wedding photos yet but we know they'll be great and are excited to see them. I would recommend Jay to anyone! Such high a high quality and professional photographer for an unbeatable price! -

We had an elopement ceremony in the park July 13, 2020 and wanted to capture it professionally even though it was just the 2 of us. Jay had a great package for elopements. He gave us guidance on best time of day and location for the photos. It was more than ample time to get all of the photos we wanted. Jay Grubb, photographer and owner, man, can’t say enough about him. He helped us with everything from hiring an officiant, location of our ceremony, even walked us through creating our timeline of events. We had decided not to hire a planner as we were suppose to have a small gathering, but it turned out quite opposite. He was a life saver. Jay has a plethora of knowledge about the wedding industry, not to mention he is an A++ photographer. Jay Grubb Wedding Photography did my daughter's wedding last month at the River House in St. Augustine and did an AMAZING job. Jay is not a photographer; he is an artist. I chose Jay because the photos on his website were breathtaking. He did not disappoint when he did our photos. When I saw the proofs this week (which was ONLY four weeks later with retouches, etc.), I couldn't believe how stunning they turned out. The beautiful lighting, the perfect angles, the dramatic effects were all there. There are several pictures worthy of being in an art gallery. I won't go on and on, but do yourself a favor and use Jay if you care about getting the best possible photos of your event. It should also be noted that our wedding was a tough assignment due to having a total of 16 attendants in the wedding party, 25 relatives for a group photo and over 150 guests that took full advantage of the open bar. Jay managed to keep things running smoothly and we were able to stay on time with the prepared timeline throughout the day. And on top of everything else, he was always pleasant and professional. The wedding lasts a day, but our memories will last forever thanks to these wonderful photos. Thanks, Jay! -

We hired Jay to be our Photographer, Videographer & run our Photobooth! I will say hiring Jay was the BEST decision we could’ve made. He was the easiest vendor to work with and he has such a high standard of professionalism. He has such a great team to work with as well! I’m very glad we decided to hire him and his team for all of the photography, videography & photobooth because they all worked so well together. He made the whole process so smooth and convenient (especially for those stressed out brides, like me). His packages were BY FAR the best pricing for the quality of work and what’s included in his packages. Also, his turn around time is unbelievable! We received our photobooth stripes only TWO DAYS after the wedding and the wedding picture proofs to choose from only ONE WEEK after the wedding! His online questionnaire was very user friendly and it brought up a lot of planning ideas that I hadn’t thought of. Also, due to his experience in the wedding industry he was excellent at outlining exactly what to expect leading up to your wedding and on your wedding (which made me feel a lot more confident and prepared). He has always been very responsive via email, text and phone calls. I’m so happy with Jay and even happier to find out he does family shoots as well! This won’t be the last time I work with him! We’re so glad that we picked Jay Grubb Photography. We ordered the silver combination package (photo, video -they use a drone!- and photo booth). Jay and his team were so much fun to work with, as well as super professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Leading up to and throughout our wedding day, Jay gave us lots of helpful tips and guidance so that we could capture a ton of special moments. We had some super fun poses and he was able to utilize our venue to take some awesome pictures. His team was wonderful, flexible and efficient (we got our unedited pictures back within a week!). We would highly recommend. -

Jay is everything a photographer should be and more. Not only a master of his equipment, but also insync with his clients. Jay could sense when we were antsy and would check with us in between shots to see how we were doing. His politeness and efficiency during family formals was superb considering how challenging our family can be to get on the same page haha. Jay's style was everything we wanted it was very candid and non intrusive. Every now and then he would simply re-position us for better shots, but in a way that was still natural. You'll hear a lot of vendors during the planning process and wedding day say ,"It's your day." Jay had a ton of awesome ideas, but truly let us decide how we wanted to proceed. Emotional intelligence is priceless and having the awareness of others feelings/emotions during day like this makes it so much better. I can most definitely vouch for Jay in this regard. My wife and I couldn't have been happier with our choice. Yes you read that right I searched for the photographer first because lets be honest a great photographer can make anything look amazing! There was this one photo online that captured my attention and I kept going back to it. The light, the balance, the composition, the creativity, the scene...it was everything we needed to capture our moment. We were having our wedding at the beautiful Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens and needed the right person to showcase it. Jays website was a breeze after having searched through so many. He responded at lightning speed for everything and always honestly. Jays ala carte setup was budget friendly and allowed us to get exactly what we wanted without any of the pricey things we didn't need. We chose his Silver Package and added the photo booth and album (best decision ever! those pictures were hilarious and turned our wedding into a blast for our guests not to mention you get to see them right away) as well as the video and engagement session (we recommend the longer engagement session, practicing with the photographer made a huge difference for us and allowed us to relax and let Jay create his masterpieces on the actual day of ). I knew the second I saw our first photo that hiring Jay was the best decision I could have made. From the beginning to the end Jays personality kept everyone at ease and having fun. Jay can get along with anyone and anything (there was a snake, a couple of penguins, and a peacock there). Jay somehow even convinced the groom to get into the ocean in January for the most amazing engagement day photo I could have ever imagined and he also convinced my mother to get up and dance at my reception and captured the moment too. He was always there but barely seen. He kept everyone on track and always kept my vision in mind! Jay was incredible and exceeded our expectations and we are fans for life!

He had such a fast turn around with the photos, I was actually quite surprised at how fast he got them to us. Also, when I had questions he responded quickly and was very helpful.
