Jay made our wedding reception absolutely unforgettable! From ensuring our toasts went off without a hitch to incorporating the special touches we requested, he was truly the driving force behind an incredible evening. The music was a perfect mix, keeping the dance floor packed all night long, and Jay's interactions with our guests struck the ideal balance of fun and professionalism.

The best!!

We decided to follow my sister's lead and book Jay Foss Music after seeing what a hit he was at her wedding—and we were not disappointed! Jay was such a pleasure to work with from the very beginning: He offered great suggestions and helpful reminders throughout the engagement, and he took the time to meet with us face-to-face to really bring the best version of our vision to life. Not just a DJ, a full experience

What can I say about Jay besides "WOW". I had wonderful service from all of my vendors and still, I was blown away by the service given to us by Jay. Instead of just providing us with music on our wedding night, he made sure to build a relationship with us and cater every aspect of his services solely to us. Meeting with him made it feel like you were the only client he was working with and he really made you feel cared for and appreciated. He was wonderful during covid, working with us to move our date seamlessly, and met with us multiple times to create a custom first dance song, complete with private interviews with my husband and me that was a surprise to hear for both of our guests and us as a couple. People told us they teared up at our first dance and that it was the best first dance they had ever seen because of the wonderful work Jay did. He stepped up and performed duties that weren't even required of him, like making sure we stuck to our timeline and got announcements that needed to be made to our guests. Jay really carried to vibe of the party on his own by playing a wonderful mix of music for all age groups at my wedding and kept the dance floor full all night. Besides professionalism and expertise, he's just a good guy and such a joy to work with. I am recommending him to everyone I know getting married!!

If you want guests on your dance floor...

Look no further than Jay Foss for your DJ needs! Jay is professional, enthusiastic, charming, and organized. For our wedding, we had many specific music requests and Jay honored all of these. He even allowed us to share Spotify playlists with him to pull from for different parts of the night (i.e. cocktail hour, dinner, reception).

Through the entire planning process, Jay offered insightful feedback, knowledgeable suggestions, and much needed affirmations for a couple planning their wedding. He arrived early on the day of and accommodated all of our needs and requests. Everyone was on their feet the entire night and we are so grateful for his services. We cannot recommend Jay enough!

The most amazing Wedding DJ

When we started planning our wedding, it was a no brainer who we wanted to hire as our wedding DJ. He had been the DJ for my sister in law, and we saw how incredible he was, and wow did he prove us right! Words can't express how special and talented this guy is. He was our best vendor, and went above and beyond our expectations. He wanted every detail to be personalized, and truly get to know us. We met with him about 4 times during the planning process, he was so loyal to us throughout covid cancelations and replanning, he was responsive, respectful, funny, caring, and I loved every single song he played. All of our wedding guests were non stop dancing. Last but not least, the personalized song he created for us was beyond anything we could have imagined. He truly impressed us, and brought all our guests to tears and laughter. Thank you, Jay.

Customize Your First Dance with Jay!

We are so glad we hired Jay Foss to DJ our wedding. Prior to the reception, we met up with him and he interviewed us to customize our first dance song. We were interviewed separately and he cut our voices into the song we picked out. It was a surprise to our guests and to us (we never heard the final cut!). All our guests commented how original the first song was and how they had never seen anything like it. If you are looking to do something special for your first dance, hire Jay.

Jay Foss is the DJ you want to work with!

When my husband and I were first starting out planning our wedding, we weren't planning on having a DJ. But through a recommendation from a good friend, we reached out to Jay. After the first meeting, we were convinced that we'd love to have him DJ at our wedding, which I believe says magnitudes. Jay was so flexible with our schedules and also what we were looking for, which might deviate from the traditional wedding. He's extraordinarily empathetic, collaborative, and it was such a pleasure to work with him. He's very communicative about the process, knowledgable and willing to give advice when needed, and come the big deal- Jay was able to read the room and alter music choices based on reading the crowd's mood, a huge talent that we don't think should go unacknowledged. We loved working with Jay. He made us at ease and we cannot recommend him enough if you are considering him.

Not a dry eye in the house!

There aren't enough words to express our gratitude for Jay! We learned about him through a mutual friend and after hearing her beautifully personalized first dance I knew we needed to book him. From our first meeting at Jaho and the subsequent year and a half following, Jay was available to talk about every detail, answer any questions, and ensure our vision was brought to life throughout our day. He focused on us as a couple and what our intention was for the day (to have a memorable event which was upbeat and fun just like our relationship)! We were so nervous to record our voices for our first dance, but Jay's calm demeanor and ability to interview us about each other was seamless! Our vision was executed perfectly, our first dance was everything we could've dreamed of and more (not a dry eye in the house), and our guests never left the dance floor! If you are looking for a DJ who will not only be your MC for the night, but your friend throughout the process, a calming voice when you need it and someone who will go above and beyond to ensure your day is JUST as you pictured, Jay is your guy!

Jay is a rockstar!

Jay is absolutely fantastic at what he does. We met a few times prior to the wedding because Jay really like to get to know the couple he is working with. Jay is an absolutely AMAZING DJ who went above and beyond for our wedding! He is creative, organized, and easy to work with. During the year we planned our wedding, Jay was available to us through e-mail, phone calls, and text. What makes Jay special is his interest in genuinely getting to know you, your story, and how he can help make your wedding or event a day to remember. Jay went above and beyond with his willingness to meet in person to discuss and coordinate the wedding. Throughout the whole process, we knew we were in good hands and we felt like we were his number one priority. Jay has a great website that allows you to stay organized by creating a custom profile of the day’s timeline, wedding party info (names, pronunciations), and music list selection. Our goal was to have the best dance floor and Jay delivered! He used our music list of “must play” and “do not play” perfectly while feeling out the crowd and keeping the dance floor alive all night. Jay’s creative genius was on display as he created us a custom first dance song! We received SO many compliments on how lively our dance floor was and how special our first dance was. The process of working with Jay was amazing from start to finish. My husband and I first met Jay for our initial meeting at Starbucks. Jay made us feel comfortable immediately and he was very easy to talk to. We made a plan with some ideas we had and Jay showed up some examples of his very special and unique first dance songs. Although we loved the examples, my husband and I were still hesitant because we loved our first dance song so much and didn't want to miss any parts of it. After further discussion through email, Jay convinced us to give it a go. A few weeks later Jay came to our house, met our dogs, bought us some beer and we began the interview process. Jay made us feel like we were having a conversation with a friend we've known for years. At the end of each of our individual interviews we got to be alone speak to each other into the microphone he had set up. I was nervous to hear the final product, but also super excited for the unique twist on our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding day my husband and I sat down and go to choose our must play, would like to hear and our do not play list on Jay's website. We also were in constant contact with him, which included Jay driving 50+ minutes to the venue to meet us on a random day just because he wanted to check out the space since he had never been there before. I also very last minute decided I wanted music and a microphone outside for the ceremony and Jay was able to accommodate the change without any problems. Once our wedding day finally arrived and we started our first dance I was so happy Jay convinced us to the first dance song his way. We laughed, we cried and I heard the sweetest message from my husband, which was even more special because we did not write our own vows. To this day I listen to and share it with anyone looking for a wedding DJ. I would highly recommend Jay Foss to anyone looking for an amazing DJ experience for their wedding day!

Jay was very professional and made every effort to ensure our Wedding Ceremony and Reception went smoothly. From the sound equipment to the mics and hours spent getting to know us, everything was well thought out and planned. I can describe Jay and his services in one word--amazing!! From our first meeting with him we knew he was the guy for our wedding. Jay was 100% committed to making sure our day was all about us. He was very receptive to our ideas and our song choices, plus he was open to requests from our guests during the reception, which they loved. Everyone was dancing all night! Jay Foss is a phenomenal DJ. We had the chance to see Jay DJ our friends wedding, and we knew right away that Jay was also the DJ for us. Jay made the beginning of the planning process so easy. He was great to communicate with, and scheduled meetings based on our preferences and availability. Right from the start Jay was personable, kind, and we could tell that he was very serious about what he does. A genuine guy overall. He began with the simple stuff, but along the way brought up ideas and asked us questions that we hadn't even thought about, but that he knew were important. Jay's online webpage and database made the planning process easy as well. With the click of a button we could pick and chose from songs and plan out our wedding timeline.

In our meetings, Jay made sure we were progressing with the planning accordingly. Jay took his time to really get to know us as well and always put our needs first. He put his heart and soul into every little detail there was. The personalized first dance is something that we had never seen before, but Jay made us so comfortable during the interview process, and it turned out perfect. Our guests were so surprised and loved that special touch. Jay even remembered little things that we brought up in our meetings and incorporated them into our night, including a song that wasn't our first dance, but we mentioned it was special to us. When we heard it play, we were both so surprised and touched!

If you're looking for the best wedding DJ out there, Jay is the one.

Jay is the best! No doubt about it. My husband, Dave, and I worked with Jay on our August 2015 wedding. Jay was extremely accommodating, even traveling up to our home in Maine to meet with us. He wanted to make sure the vibe and atmosphere of our special day was exactly what we wanted.

I was blown away by all of Jay's ideas. He clearly knows the industry and wants to offer his customers the best. Not only did my husband and I get a fantastic music package, but we worked with Jay to engineer a beautiful lighting arrangement, complete with a special moniker above our sweetheart table.

Jay is patient, kind, and 100% genuine. He wants you, the customer, to be happy with everything. Believe me, my husband and I were thrilled with everything Jay contributed to our special day. I don't want to give too much away, but I will say that Jay does something absolutely amazing with a couple's first dance. He had my husband and I (and many of our guests!) in tears- happy tears!

Jay was definitely the right choice for a DJ for our wedding. He made planning easy, he had many great ideas and suggestions based on his extensive experience. He met us several times before the wedding to get to know us, usually over a friendly cup of coffee. On the day of our wedding, Jay consistently checked in with us to see how things were going, but was never interfering; it was clear that he wanted to make our day exactly how we wanted it. Jay is simply an exceptionally friendly and professional DJ who is wonderful to work with. Jay was an amazing DJ! We had nearly 300 guests at our wedding and he actively kept everyone entertained. He played an amazing blend of music both consciously back-to-back and overall. He even dealt with all of our cultural music requests. He created a custom first dance track by interviewing us ahead of time and surprised us with the content over the song on the day of the wedding. If you're looking for a great DJ for any event you are having, Jay Foss Music is wonderful! Between Jay's experience and his creative talent, our wedding was a HUGE success and fun was had by all. By listening to our requests and fears during our ceremony and reception planning process, Jay walked us through all the decision making with such ease. He was never more than an email away with any questions we might have and gently reminded us when things needed to get done. We felt comfortable handing over our day to Jay and we were blessed by not having to worry over a thing! When things got a little slow on the dance floor, the music was changed up to get more people out dancing. When plans where changed last minute regarding a reception feature, he was flexible and went with the flow. Jay traveled all the way from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania to DJ our wedding. Not only did he do a phenomenal job the day of our wedding, he spent time with us on FaceTime to go over details with us prior to the big day. The most memorable thing that Jay did for us was he made our first dance song very special. Jay spent time interviewing both my husband and I individually, and included our voices giving the answers to his questions to the song. I don't think there was a dry eye at the reception. Jay helped to create one of the most special and unique moments of our day, and we will forever be grateful for all of his hard work and heart! Our guests are still talking about how amazing he was! Jay was the perfect DJ from start to finish! He was extremely friendly, professional, organized, and easy to work with. His website was fantastic and he made the planning process a breeze. We lived out of state but Jay was always available through FaceTime, email and phone. Not only was he fantastic for us to work with, but the other wedding vendors loved him as well! Our event coordinator stated that Jay could easily be a wedding planner! He worked with us on the wedding timeline and ensured that everything ran smoothly. He had creative ideas on how to make our reception unique and fun! The music he choose during the wedding had everyone dancing from start to finish. We had a wide range of ages and musical taste at the wedding. He was able to find music that everyone loved! And if you are lucky, you may even get to see some of his killer dance moves! Jay did a phenomenal job as the DJ at our wedding. We have had so many people ask us who our DJ was so they could use him — and even more people tell us how much fun they had on the dance floor.

Jay was easy to work with and 100% on top of things. He was completely organized and helped us feel relaxed knowing everything he was involved with would be executed to perfection. Our wedding planner was 'wowed' by his flow of the events throughout the entire evening.

And the music. He nailed it. Our evening was exceptional because of the vibe he brought to the dance floor. From smoothly Emceeing our event to nailing the perfect songs at all the right times, Jay was consistently on point.

Jay was a real pro throughout the entire process. He came to our first meeting well prepared with plenty of questions about what we wanted, making sure to keep our needs in the forefront. On the day of the wedding, Jay was confident and poised at the mic, but he always made sure that the wedding party was the center of attention. And people danced all night! Jay Foss went above and beyond with the Hwang wedding, and it is evident that this is how he operates with every wedding/event that he does! Despite the miles between us (him in MA and my husband and I in PA), he met with us several times via FaceTime and really poured a lot of time, effort, and more importantly, HEART, into the details of our wedding. He even rocked a bow tie to fit into the theme of our day. Scott and I absolutely loved the customized first dance...and there wasn't a dry around us as it played. That first dance moment is now one of my favorite moments in my life, and we have Jay to thank for being so intentional with creating that tender moment for us. Many of our guests are still talking about how great of a job Jay did. We are forever grateful for his attention to detail, his willingness to travel, and for throwing his heart into our wedding. Jay was easy and enjoyable to work with. His schedule was flexible during the planning phase of our wedding. He listened to what style we enjoyed and what songs we absolutely wanted and didn't want played. He understands that the wedding is the event and he is not the main attraction. Working with him may have been the smoothest part of our wedding. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

Jay did an excellent job making my husband and I comfortable with himself and his style of DJ-ing. He was super flexible and actually played songs we wanted to hear. Jay is the best wedding DJ I have seen in a very long time. He picks great music, listens to input, and doesn't make himself the star of the show. Choosing a DJ is one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning. They can literally make or break the party. We've all been there. They're playing Macerena, telling cheesy jokes, demanding (or pleading) that people get up and dance. And you never know what you're going to get. It's risky business for sure.

Well, I'm happy to say that Jay Foss committed none of the above infractions at our wedding, and was, in fact, absolutely flawless as a DJ. We could not have asked for more!

A lot of DJs have a preset list of songs that they're going to play come hell or high water. And they're baffled when people don't all dance to the same tunes. Jay has the ability to feel out the crowd, get a sense of what kinds of music gets the people moving, and then adapt his playlist to the audience.

As something of a music snob, I submitted a lengthy list that I wanted to be played at the wedding. Jay sat with me for over an hour one night and helped separate 'dinner songs' and 'dancing songs,' and let me know if there were specific tracks that he felt might break the flow of the night.

I got a TON of compliments on the music. Yes, this a testament to my stellar taste, but just as important is the way Jay perfectly arranged the songs I'd requested and peppered in great tracks of his own choosing to make sure the party continued to bump long into the night.

In fact, I took Jay aside and asked if he could extend the party an extra half an hour past our scheduled departure just because everyone was having so much fun that it felt like the party wasn't ready to end. Of course, Jay accommodated this request and was ready with extra jams to keep us grooving.

All in all, Jay was phenomenal. He's not only a great DJ, but a great MC, keeping the festivities moving along seamlessly.

Jay was so great that when my sister got married a couple years later, she knew she needed him to DJ. Jay made the trip all the way to New Jersey for the gig.

Jay DJ'd my wedding in September of 2012. He was very professional and his music selection was great. I was afraid none of my guests would dance but he had them all on the dance floor all night long. He even accommodated some strange requests such as my husbands grandmother wanting a polka song.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jay for two school events, as well as attending a wedding he DJ'd. His warm personality and passion for music guarantee a successful addition to any event. He met with me to gain insight about how to personalize each event and went above and beyond leading up to and on the day. There has never been a dull dance floor when Jay is involved, he's attentive to the mood of the crowd and knows just how to keep the energy going! DJay Foss is the perfect combination of flexible and professional. He is always willing to give his input, but he understands that the Bride & the Groom have their own specific flavors of their own. For our wedding, we ended up taking his advice on almost everything and it was always the right decision. At our wedding we had a bunch of last minute changes and he accommodated them with ease while reassuring us that it was no big deal. Nobody had a clue that things had changed. He was so helpful, respectful, flexible, and fun...and I heard that after my husband and I left the wedding he even got out on the dance floor and showed off some of his own moves!! :) I would absolutely recommend him for ANY wedding. Jay was very easy to deal with. He was strategic in planning our event and making sure we met to go over the details. We had planned this wedding in a 2 week period which did not leave room for any error. He showed up and delivered the services we needed and then some perfectly!! It was a real treat to work with Jay and he is very honest and dependable. He was accommodating to peoples requests on the dance floor as they came in. Jay Foss did an amazing job as our wedding DJ! He was so organized and guided us through the process of creating our time line. He made great suggestions- many of which we used. Jay met with my wife and I several times before our wedding to make sure we were on the same page.

Jay had such a great presence about him- he was so professional and had great energy. He was really flexible on the day of the wedding. I think we had the best wedding reception EVER. He really got a feel for us and played a great blend of our music taste. His selection of music flowed so well - there were so many times when the dance floor was packed. We asked Jay a month after the wedding if he could send us CD's of our music selection from our wedding day, and a week later we had them. What a special gift to have. I have hired Jay for the past couple of years for a holiday production where he managed my sound and lighting. Jay is one of the most professional, easy to work with people I've encountered. He is responsive , easy going and very talented.

On another note, my daughter got married this past May (in Florida) and how I wish the audio/visual staff down there (that I paid 5 times more for) was as competent as Jay! They were more expensive and less knowledgeable than Jay and caused me lots of grief!!

I highly recommend Jay Foss for any event that requires sound and lighting.

Jay Foss was unbelievable to work with! By far, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. Jay has a very keen attention to detail and will work with you as much as needed to make sure your wedding is reflective of your personal taste and style. We met with Jay several times prior to our wedding and the final result was fun, flawless and an amazing party! In addition to the reception, Jay also worked with me to help prepare and edit a digital piano recording so that I had personalized ceremony music as a gift for my husband. Jay was professional, friendly, and just so easy to work with. Even with us being out of state he kept the communication up and the website made things really helpful. Jay was absolutely fantastic! Jay expressed an awareness of issues that might arise during a wedding, such as speaker placement, so as to be sensitive to older people, issues that might come up regarding speeches, etc. He asked a lot of questions about issues I would never have anticipated. I was impressed immediately.
Jay was also very knowledgeable of different music styles. He was able to assist us not just with music selection, but also with music that we might not want played. He provided a tool that was very helpful in selecting music.
After the wedding, my husband and I received rave reviews of the DJ from friends who had attended the wedding. Comments included the fact that he seemed to sense the mood of the room and to know when to change the tempo of the music. Another person absolutely loved the playlist and was wondering if they could get a copy. The person said they loved all of the music. While we made some of the music selections, Jay had asked us about our musical tastes and made most of the music selections based on that. He clearly listened to us and gained a good understanding of what we liked.

Jay Foss is simply a professional, and a really nice guy. Easy to get along with, easy to work with. Combine this with the fact that his packages are very reasonably priced and you really can't go wrong.

He offered to drive over to meet us at a Starbucks and bought us a round of coffees as we talked to decide if he'd be a good fit for our winter wedding. He didn't try to upsell us on any of the more expensive lighting packages that he also offers -- he just let us know that it was an option that he could tell us more about if we were interested. That was an excellent sign.

The day of the wedding, he dressed sharp, had everything set up on time, and the big day went off without a hitch. He worked in guests' song requests, but checked with me on a couple because it conflicted with the 'Do Not Play' list. It was easy to set up our 'Must Play' tracks through his website, and he managed to hunt down a hard-to-find instrumental song to play for when my wife walked down the aisle.

At the end of the night, everyone was still ripping up the dance floor.

We loved having Jay DJ our wedding! He is fun, friendly, and professional. One of the things we enjoyed most about Jay was that he listened very carefully to what it was that we wanted our reception to be like (without any judgement at our music choice even though we probably deserved some judgement at times:). Throughout the whole process he was a calming presence and very flexible when we needed/wanted to make changes. The day of, he was prompt and thought to take care of things that we hadn't even thought of such as a sound system for our ceremony!

Hiring Jay Foss to DJ our wedding was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process! He was so welcoming and very easy to share ideas with. He listened to our vision and really got to know us as a couple. This was great because, as he got to know us, he made suggestions as to how to make the whole experience more "us" simply through music.

Jay was the DJ on our wedding day in August 2009. Had we not moved away from the east coast, we would continue to have Jay DJ for future events. We had the privilege to reunite with Jay this past summer at a friend’s wedding where his diversity of music, fun and warm energy entertained the crowd just like on our wedding day.

Jay has a varied and dynamic knowledge of musical genres that will fit your event perfectly. Meeting with Jay in the pre-wedding planning put me instantly at ease as he was extremely organized, flexible, and friendly.

My husband and I were particularly impressed by Jay’s excellent attunement to the crowd and his ability to keep our guests aware of the true meaning of our wedding celebration. Jay Foss is simply AMAZING. I was so busy planning hundreds of things for the wedding, and Jay took a HUGE chunk off my plate. He helped with picking out songs from the mother son dance to party hits, top 40 and more. He also has a really helpful website where you can select songs for your wedding playlist so easily. Jay Foss was the DJ for our 2013 Memorial Day weekend wedding. We were extremely impressed with Jay in every way. Jay was exceptionally professional in all meetings before our wedding and always showed up to each meeting early. Jay initiated contact with us in order to make sure he knew exactly what we were looking for. The day of our wedding he was awesome! He understood the exact vibe we wanted to set at our wedding and played the songs that we loved! This included mixing hit songs with some international music as well. Jay also personalized a great beat for our wedding party to walk out to. I highly recommend Jay without any reservations. He was one of the main reasons our wedding was such a success!

Jay Foss stepped in as our DJ with 5 days notice, when our previously contracted DJ did not fulfill his contract. Jay met with my husband and I, and we were thrilled with the decision to hire him! Jay was excellent at our reception, and had all of our family and friends dancing the entire time. We've since recommended him to other family members planning a wedding, and enjoyed seeing him DJ their wedding as well! We would HIGHLY recommend Jay to anyone looking for a highly reliable, professional and FUN DJ who knows how to keep a crowd dancing :)

My husband and I had Jay DJ for our wedding in 2011, and I am SO GLAD we hired him! From the very beginning, he was easily accessible via email and phone, and met with us as frequently as we wanted to discuss our music list and plans. DJAY was amazing! He was professional, fun, and flexible. We met two times before the wedding, although I'm 100% sure he would have met more or less if we had wanted to. Meeting before the wedding made us feel relaxed and confident in our music and DJ choice. If you are tech savvy, he has a great online system where you can enter in everything you want/need including song choices, times the songs go on, and what traditional dances you'd like or don't like. If you are not tech-savvy, he will ask you these questions at your meetings with him prior to your wedding. I wasn't feeling too good right before the reception started and he was flexible in changing the time of the first dance, father-daughter dance, and we ended up not doing our bridal party introductions. Our dance floor was 'packed' the entire night. He caters to whatever you want whether it is a young crowd, old crowd, or both. We had a typical guest scene, from my nephew (10 months) to grandparents in their 70s, many guests in their twenties (like us), and a bunch of our parents friends. Our guests had such a great time. We got comments from them after about how great it was. The ones that loved to dance were out there the whole time and the guests that don't like dancing got up for a few songs...and that's how you know you got a good DJ. I would definetly recommend him to any future bride!

Jay did an excellent job at our wedding! The music was thoroughly enjoyed the whole event. He was very accommodating before and during the wedding!!! I highly recommend him!!! We truly enjoyed working with Jay and the music for our wedding was perfect!!

This might have been one of Jay's earliest wedding gigs. Prior to this, I believe that he had DJed more dances. I was satisfied with the music that Jay chose, but some of my older guests were less satisfied. Knowing that Jay has had quite a bit more experience since then, I am sure that the quality of his service has only improved.

I found Jay very easy to work with and very receptive to feedback. His rates were incredibly competitive at the time. I would have no trouble recommending him.
