Incredibly talented musicians
We booked Jason Sulkin Music for a saxophone and guitar duo to play during the cocktail hour at our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made! Jason and his team are incredibly talented musicians, and their performance was absolutely stunning. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the music was—it elevated the entire atmosphere and set the tone for the rest of the night.
Working with Jason was a dream. He’s professional, flexible, and made everything so seamless. His extensive music selection made it so much fun for my husband and me to choose our favorite songs. Jason handled all the details, leaving us stress-free and confident that everything would be perfect—and it was.
I can’t recommend Jason enough! I will absolutely be hiring him again for a party at my house.

Perfect Music for Your Wedding!
We hired Jason Sulkin Music for our pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour music. We’re beyond happy with how the music turned out. It was so elegant and set the mood perfectly for the night. All the details leading up to the wedding were so easy and Jason was on top of everything. He has a large list of music to choose from but you can also pay to have them learn something specific. There’s a piano at our venue so we really wanted that in combination with a guitar. I hadn’t seen that combo a lot but it was such a beautiful sound. We chose In My Life by The Beatles for the bridal processional and it was perfect! They played it beautifully and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you, Jason and to everyone that worked the wedding!

Beautiful custom songs for our ceremony!
Jason was such a pleasure to work with! We wanted solo guitar for ceremony and cocktail hour. He has an extensive song list to choose from for the ceremony but we made two special requests that were not on his list. He happily agreed to find the sheet music and learn the songs, and they both sounded so beautiful as we walked down the aisle! We're so grateful Jason helped us create the perfect ceremony for us.

A special talent you must use!
Jason is an absolute pleasure to work with and my goodness he is SO talented. Jason organized and played music for our wedding ceremony and our cocktail hour - and he BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN! Jason's music truly set the tone for the entire wedding day. The music in our ceremony was so spectacular and brought everyone to tears! He was also so easy and flexible to work with. The cocktail hour was equally wonderful, continuing to set the PERFECT tone for our wedding. Jason is just incredible - he will make your event one of a kind!!!!

We used a string quartet from Jason’s team for our wedding and they were wonderful. Jason was super attentive leading up to the wedding, and answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. The quartet sent to perform was kind, professional, and did a phenomenal job. All of my guests enjoyed them. They were one of my favorite vendors from my wedding. Set the perfect mood for our wedding

Can’t recommend Jason Sulkin Music enough! They covered our wedding ceremony with an acoustic/violin duo, music playback during our cocktail hour, and their AfterParty 7-pc band for our reception. Our guests are still talking about how awesome the band was!! Jason was so incredibly flexible with our requests throughout the entire planning process and working with us on some special asks. Jason Sulkin’s band brought the house down last Oct 22, 2022 at The Upper West in Santa Monica👍. Calamigos wedding music - beautiful!
Everyone at our wedding was raving about the beautiful guitar music played during ceremony and cocktail hour. The songs played during the ceremony as my now husband and I walked down the aisle set the perfect scene for that special moment. It fit our venue beautifully. Most incredible band ever
Jason Sulkin Music is absolutely incredible. For an entire year and a half, Jason was available, knowledgeable, supportive, and just amazing to work with (amidst many covid changes/challenges in LA county!). Jason’s team elevated the excitement of our wedding to a level we didn’t even know could exist. From each member’s incredible skill on their instrument, to the lead singer’s (VJ Rosales) vast vocal range, the entire performance made for an incredible celebration we will cherish forever. Almost every guest commented on how instrumental and engaging the band was! Jason and team, thank you thank you for all you did to make our wedding so spectacular. We worked with Jason to have a string quartet play for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and he was wonderful to work with. Jason is very organized, friendly, and provided helpful advice/suggestions when we needed it. He made sure all of our questions were answered during our check ins. The string quartet itself was amazing. We loved the variety of music choices and the quality of the music itself. The guests also loved the music and instagrammed the string quartet when they played some notable theme songs during the cocktail hour.

Just what we wanted!
Our musician came down with the flu the week of our wedding and I was desperate to find a live musician to play at our ceremony. I'm a musician that comes from a musical family and one thing I knew was that I did not want a DJ to play as I walked down the aisle. Jason is insanely talented and we are SO happy we had him play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour! From the minute we started talking with him, we knew he was the perfect musician for us. He was super responsive, incredibly professional and prepared, and WOW - he's an amazing guitar player.
I dreamed of having an acoustic guitarist play during our ceremony, and he not only played our requested songs, but played them beautifully. He has a large repertoire of music and is completely adaptable to your style. He also played upbeat, current music at our cocktail hour and I heard TONS of compliments from guests about how much they enjoyed his music.

My husband and I highly recommend Jason! He was extremely professional and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. And, more importantly, he is extremely talented!! He played guitar for our ceremony and the jazz trio joined in for dinner. Everything was perfect. We had a DJ for the reception, so It was nice to have some live music too. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful music at their wedding!

I found Jason through my friend who got married last year. He provided music for her during the ceremony and cocktail hour. As soon as I heard him, I knew I had to book him! Luckily he was avaibable for my wedding and he did NOT disappoint. He played music for the ceremony and even learned a new song to play for when I walked in (Taylor Swift's Love Story). He let me hear a snippet of it before and when I heard it, I got choked up. Jason is amazingly talented and easily one of the nicest, easiest people to work with. He was always prompt in retiring my emails and phone calls, and answered any questions I had in a timely manner.
I would highly recommended Jason if you are looking for a musician. Trust me, you will remember him for years.

We hired Jason and his team for our wedding a couple months ago (jazz trio). He was communicative, easy to work with, and very professional. It was such a breeze to set everything up with him and pick out the song selections. We got so many compliments from friends and family that the music during our cocktail hour fit in with our venue really well and the place should hire them permanently! One of the musician's wife's due date was close to the wedding, and he informed us ahead of time and made back up plans just in case the baby came early. The wedding went off without a hitch. Other places might not have informed us or made sure we were taken care of in a situation like this. Such great service! I highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to come across Jason Sulkin Music through weddingwire.com! My fiancé and I were planning a Southern California wedding from Ohio, so to say we did a ton of research when looking for vendors is an understatement. We knew we needed to find vendors who we could trust to do an amazing job without physically meeting in person before our big day! All of the reviews we read about Jason Sulkin Music, as well as all of the YouTube videos we looked up and listed to solidified to us that we wanted them for our ceremony music! Jason was always so prompt when responding to emails, texts and phone calls and also very flexible when trying to set up phone conversations. The music was incredible! Everything was what we asked for and guests from our wedding are still raving about how wonderful the pre-ceremony music was, as well as the small intermittent parts during the ceremony where we asked for background music. (During our candle lightings!) I highly recommend Jason Sulkin Music for your wedding musical needs! Jason Sulkin and two other musicians performed for my daughter's wedding in late July. We asked Jason to provide guitar, cello and violin but he can also put together a full string quartet. He played for two hours and provided a mix of contemporary and classical pieces. I only regret that I was spirited away either pre-wedding or for pictures following so I did not get to listen as carefully as I would have liked. My daughter's husband family is very musical and said they were impressed. Highly recommend working with Jason. You must remember that Jason is a teacher and so you may need to wait for a return call. It was never an issue for us as we could do al lot of our interaction via email.

Jason and his musicians were the band at my friends wedding last year and I knew immediately that I wanted them to play at our wedding. Jason was really easy to work with, professional but easy going and always responsive. I didn't know 100% what I wanted all of the music to be (from the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception) but Jason walked me through all of the options and put together exactly what we wanted for our music. He had a great selection too, everything from classical to oldies to current stuff. What I liked best about the music was that it wasn't the typical obnoxious "DJ" situation you get at most weddings (or other events), it was purely instrumental, mellow, fun and romantic. There was no "YMCA" and no disco balls or flashing lights (I am sure they could play YMCA though if you wanted them to!), the music was the perfect soundtrack for the wedding without taking it over and being overwhelming. I have received a ton of compliments on the music and I have to agree that it was absolutely perfect. Jason and his musicians were really friendly, introduced themselves to us and gave us congratulations and all that, we were happy to have them all there! You should absolutely work with them for your special event!

For our wedding on 07/19/15, we booked a trio (violin, cello, and guitar) for our ceremony and solo guitar for the cocktail hour through Jason Sulkin.
Jason was very professional and helpful from the start. He provided a detailed outline, song lists and suggestions, and responses to all of our questions. The month prior and again two days before our wedding, we had a conference call with Jason to outline and confirm the processional, bride’s processional, interlude, and recessional music.
We selected a unique song for the bride’s processional that required Jason and his accompanying musicians to learn in advance. We discussed the tempo and timing of when to start the bride’s processional based on length of the walk and desire to enter at the chorus. Jason was accommodating and offered great insight from his experience.
The bride’s processional turned out perfectly! Jason also played splendidly at the cocktail hour and the guests complimented his talent. We would use Jason Sulkin again and highly recommend him for your wedding!

Jason Sulkin music was the perfect choice for our wedding. Jason plays classic, traditional, contemporary, and jazz music solo on his guitar (but also can be accompanied by other musicians). We heard him play a wedding by chance when we were looking at venues. We knew right away he "was the one" for our wedding. His blend of music was a hit for my family and friends. We had a traditional ceremony and he suggested the perfect songs for all elements. We had an intimate restaurant gathering in a private room and our music was acoustic only. Leading up the event, Jason was extremely responsive via email and learned to play multiple songs so that I was able to walk down the aisle to my favorite song "All I Ask Of You" from Phantom of the Opera. He was very flexible with our music requests and was able to provide song options for all age groups. Ceremony Music was one of the most strangest things about wedding planning-it is one of the first things that guests see and hear when they arrive at the event so it needs to be awesome but as the bride, you literally never get to hear the musicians play until you are walking down the aisle and then we skipped our cocktail hour to take pictures so I truly heard Jason play only once as I walked down the aisle. I know that he did an incredible job though because I had multiple friends and family members come up to me to ask who he was, where he came from, and two friends even asked for his contact info so they could book him for their weddings next year. I highly recommend Jason and his team to anyone needing a musician in LA or Santa Barbara- he is truly the best! He takes all of the stress out of the process and the results are fantastic!

I hired Jason for my ceremony and cocktail hour. Unfortunately, I only got to enjoy his beautiful guitar playing for the short ceremony! (I had to be elsewhere for the cocktail hour, sadly.) I did get to hear Jason play Storybook Love from the movie, The Princess Bride, and that was enough for me. Jason has a huge repertoire of music, which I appreciated. He took the time to talk to me before the wedding day to make sure he knew what kind of music I wanted. I had a short "do not play" list and gave him the music genres I would like for the ceremony and for the cocktail hour. Other than that, I asked Jason to exercise his discretion in selecting the music. Smart move because I got so many unsolicited compliments about "the guitarist" and my guests raved about his music. Even though I didn't get to enjoy Jason's music as much as I would have liked to, based on my guests' comments I know I picked the right vendor! Thanks Jason!

We had Jason on guitar and his violinist and cello player for my daughter's wedding at the Smog Shoppe in Los Angeles last weekend. They were amazing! My daughter had 2 songs she wanted for the ceremony and he played them beautifully! He made contemporary songs sound classical. The reception music was excellent too. Wonderful to work with too. Very professional.

Beautifully romantic, absolutely one of the highlights of the evening. Jason's music for our ceremony, sand ceremony and cocktail hour, put that extra special touch for our theme of romantic elegance. With everything crazy going on that day, Jason's music was one of the special touches that I actually remember from our event. He made everything leading up to that day easy, and his website with song suggestions helped us finalize the songs that would be the perfect touch for our special day. I would 100% recommend him for anyone who wants to add romance and elegance to their events.

Jason provided a very lovely acoustic guitar service at our wedding, when guests first arrived and also during the ceremony. He is extremely professional and worked well with our coordinator for timing of all the songs. We hired him close to the end of our wedding prep when we had a bunch of other things to manage, and he handled everything just perfectly without much oversight from us. Overall, he’s a true delight to work with.

My Husband and I were married Aug 30th of this year. When we were planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted a live musican to perform during our ceremony and cocktail hour. I was reading reviews on Wedding Wire and came across Jason. I had emailed him right away to inquire more information, and he literally called me right away to talk in detail about what he can offer to us. He sent us his complete list of music that he could play...everything on his comtemporary list of music was all songs that my husband and I loved. We ended up booking Jason right away. As our wedding grew closer, we wanted to meet Jason in person as well as establish a set list of songs we wanted him to play. He was so helpful giving us examples of what couples traditionally played vs non traditionally. We ended up scheduling a meeting a couple weeks prior to our wedding- he even played a few songs for us! lets just say I nearly got teary eyed just listening to him play... Jason was always so professional and always responded back to any questions in a timely manner. We were so thankful to have him play for our wedding and could not have had anyone better! He helped make our day Perfect and would recommend him to ANYONE!!

Jason is great! He is extremely professional as well as talented. He gave alot of help and feedback when first starting to plan our music selections. On the day of, he showed up on time, prepared, and did a great job. We had him continue to play through our cocktail hour and received many compliments as to how nice of a touch it was having him there. Jason did an amazing job at both our ceremony and our cocktail hour. We had him play at the Unitarian church for the ceremony and while the guests arrived. We got so many compliments from the guests about his playing. During the ceremony he did an amazing job. He played songs that weren't on his list too.
For the cocktail hour it was the perfect touch. We had our cocktail hour on the Rotunda at the Double Tree hotel. It was beyond what we expected.
Jason we cannot thank you enough for helping make our day everything and more than we could have imagined.

Ryan, of Jason Sulkin Music, performed our ceremony and cocktail hour music for our Mailbu wedding!! He was very skilled on the guitar and set the perfect tone for our entire evening. Ryan and Jason were really communicative and helpful when were deciding on our songs! They listened to our ideas and helped guide us when we had questions. Jason was extremely professional and very talented. Within minutes of sending him a request online through his well organized web page we received a phone call to talk specifics. Jason was quick to send over potential song lists and recommendations and followed up regularly. He was more the happy to coordinate directly with our other vendors, saving us time in relaying messages between vendors.
Day of was when Jason really shinned. All of our guests commented how great the guitarist was. Jason was not only playing songs, but really looked like he was having fun, getting into the music, and really putting on a great performance. Just as we had discussed, Jason provided us with spot on music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend his services for anyone looking for a guitarist!

From the moment we met Jason, we knew he was the guy and he did not disappoint! His prices are reasonable, he shows up on time, he plays what you ask him to play, and his timing was impeccable. My wife wanted to walk down the aisle to a song and Jason somehow managed to time it so perfectly as to hit the 'chorus' part of the song just as my bride reached the beginning of aisle (it was a decent walk from the hotel out onto the beach to the beginning of the aisle, so I consider this to be a pretty good sense of timing by Jason!).
Jason played while the guests were seated, he played at times during ceremony, and he played the cocktail hour as well. I had several of our guests say what a beautiful touch it was to have an acoustic guitarist, but I assure you that it depends on the guitarist and Jason was AWESOME!
I wish I could give him more than five stars!

We were really happy with Jason Sulkin. My husband is a musician and asked for a very specific intro to our wedding with a song that he wrote the lyrics for and Jason was perfect. Jason performed the music at our wedding and reception at the Ojai Valley Inn. Jason was extremely professional in all our dealings with him. He was flexible in that we added some music that was not on his suggested playlists and was very responsive throughout the planning process. In addition to Jason, we added a violinist and a cellist and the combined music was wonderful. We highly recommend Jason for your wedding.

I couldn't be happier with the amazing music that Jason Sulkin provided at our ceremony. He was extremely accomodating and easy to work with. From my initial call to him (after finding him online) to the week before the wedding, he always replied immediately, provided detailed information, and acted with extreme professionalism.
I'm sad to say I never even met Jason in person! That is how fantastic and reliable he is. We discusses music over the phone, mailed contracts, etc., and on the big day, I just knew it was all going off without a hitch, because Jason wouldn't have it any other way.
My guests loved the guitar/violin duo, and Jason played for cocktail hour as well, and that was raved about.
I highly recommend Jason for all of your ceremony/music needs, because he will take care to make it flawless. Not having to worry about timing, music pace, etc., was priceless to me.
Everyone tells you the whole day will be a bit of a blur, and it's so true. Thankfully, I saw Jason in my wedding video, so I believe all of the guests when they tell me how incredible he was. ;)

Everything was top notch from initial meeting. I planned my wedding from another state so it was hard to select my vendors. Virtually everything was done online, and by email and phone. I was in town for a couple days and Jason was able to meet me so I could hear a quick sample of his music. I cried on the first song. My guests were impressed, and his music created the exact right feeling I wanted for my wedding.
