Beyond amazing

Everyone at my wedding was blown away by Jason. He was beyond incredible. Amazing to work with leading up to the wedding as well. I highly highly recommend. He learned the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to!!!!!! Just wow

Beautiful ambiance! Everyone loved him!

The sound of a guitar is so much better than a harp and strings. Jason has acoustic and electric options with a repertoire including classical, pop, and rock songs. We chose acoustic for our daytime wedding and he played for both our ceremony and reception. He helped create the perfect atmosphere for our entire event and the style he brings to music is amazing! Multiple family members commented on his skill and ability to turn a familiar rock song into something beautiful, and they had so much fun when they recognized it! Jason was very easy to work with to coordinate processional/recessional songs and went above and beyond to play all my favorites throughout the day.

Jason is the guitarist you are looking for!

I cannot say enough good things about Jason and either could my guests! He was responsive during the planning process, and is an incredibly talented guitarist. He was the highlight of our ceremony and cocktail hour. We asked him to learn a specific song and he absolutely nailed it. You absolutely will not regret hiring him!

Absolutely Awesome!!

If you are looking for something unique your wedding guests will absolutely remember.. hire Jason the guitarist!! He was absolutely amazing from start to finish! All of my guests were raving how beautiful it was. We had Jason during our prelude as guests were entering the ceremony space and also during cocktail hour. Jason was friendly, professional, punctual, and very talented! Jason was kind enough to send me his song list where I was able to choose what type of songs/genre I wanted during the prelude (slow love songs) and the cocktail hour (upbeat modern contemporary). I would absolutely recommend Jason and will definitely hire him again for another event of mine. (:

Jason was Great!

We got married on June 17 in St. Pete Beach, but live in the Chicago area so we put a lot of faith in Jason without getting the opportunity to meet with him prior to the wedding, and he exceeding any expectations we could have had! We received so many compliments from guests about him throughout the night (especially when he broke out the guitar for cocktail hour!). Couldn't have been happier to have had the opportunity to work with Jason.

Went above and beyond!

Jason was great to work with, he played guitar beautifully at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour with all our requested songs. He was then DJ and emcee at our reception and it made for a seamless transition. We even had some hiccups with our dance floor that I later learned he jumped in to help with, we so appreciate it!

Wonderful Ceremony Music!

Jason was very communicative as soon as I contacted him to book. He was clear with his repertoire and allowed us to choose songs we liked and even add one song that was special to us. Many guests were complimenting us on having such wonderful ceremony music and it's all due to Jason!

We just had our wedding a few days ago - and I had some very unique requests. Jason is the best!

Jason is the best! My godfather who is also a musician was able to play with Jason during the cocktail hour. Our guests loved the combo between the guitar and flute! We also had jason as our DJ as well! He is so good he kept everyone engaged and everyone had a blast! Jason was great with communicating and making sure everything was in line for our big day. We will always be grateful for Jason. Book with him he is amazing!

Wow so amazing! Highly recommend!

I just got married on 11/13/21, and was very set on acoustic for my ceremony and cocktail hour. When I came across Jason, I was SOOO impressed with his music and abilities! He was so responsive, and made the planning process so seamless! Everyone at my ceremony and cocktail hour loved the music. He even learned one of my favorite songs Golden Hour for my ceremony. He really made my ceremony special. I highly suggest you book him for your wedding!!

So flexible and relaxed, this was the exact vibe I was going for to celebrate our wedding. I love how seamless the music at our wedding was, we had beautiful ceremony music that flowed perfectly. And then after we had a bumping DJ party. It was the best of both worlds!

We were really happy we chose Jason! He was very responsive and flexible due to having to change our date due to COVID. Everyone loved his guitar playing during cocktail hour and ceremony. My guests still talk about it today We! We also enjoyed his music for dancing during the reception!

He does it all, amazing!!

Jason’s category on the knot can make him a little hard to find if you’re looking for a DJ. I actually found his profile on a gig website when I was looking for a possible acoustic guitarist to play for the ceremony… Luckily he does both! I came back to the knot to try to find him again and look for reviews, all of which were great. We wanted acoustic guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour because I think it’s such a prettier sound than the more traditional violinist. We also got a little preview by checking out his Instagram. We had the perfect mixture of modern and classical songs for the ceremony followed by all my favorite music during the cocktail hour like Weezer. The best part was that he was also our DJ for the reception and he handled additional up lighting as well. My biggest issue finding a DJ was all the cheesy entertainment companies, it’s just was not our style. We wanted somebody to play music all night and not play host on the mic instead (lol). He was also so nice to our guests who started requesting their favorite songs as the drinks started pouring... I loved having one person who could do ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and lighting. And he is very affordable. Thank you so much, Jason!

Highly Recommend!

Jason was great to work with! I first met Jason at a wedding expo and heard him playing the guitar- I instantly knew I wanted him to play at our wedding. I wish I got to hear more, but from what I did hear, it sounded great and our guests will really impressed.

Jason also did a great job being the DJ. He played the songs that we requested and kept the dance floor going. The price was very fair and we are so happy we chose Jason. I would highly recommend!

Don't Look Anywhere Else - Jason is the Best DJ!

We knew we wanted a guitarist and not some hokey, fist-pumping DJ for our small, intimate wedding. I found Jason online by simply searching for a guitarist in the area, and everything about working with him from first initial contact through the night of wedding was easy and flawless. He was responsive to all my questions, played exactly the music we requested (even specific segments of songs), and was so nice and easy-going that was refreshing given how other vendors can be! But the best part was he was SO GOOD - he played the guitar for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and everyone RAVED about how lovely it was. Then, for the reception, he was able to flip and do an awesome job DJ-ing! He got our guests dancing and having fun, surpassing literally any expectation I had. I can't recommend Jason enough - one of the best choices we made for our special day!

Jason was fantastic! He doesn’t disappoint!

Jason was early and went straight to work. We had him for the ceremony and cocktail hour and guests ranted about how good he was. While I had pictures being done I could hear him playing and wished I could’ve enjoyed that part more! He learned “part of your world” for me and I couldn’t have been happier! Everything was perfect. I highly recommend him! You will not be disappointed.

Great Ceremony Musician!

Great guitarist/DJ

We hired Jason for our guitarist/DJ and he did great job. Before the wedding, communicating with him was very easy--He also helped us a lot on deciding the details(floor lights etc.) via email/text conversation. He was also very accommodating to our requests-- We had alot of Korean and Lebanese song requests for dance floor on the top of "regular" wedding dance songs. He shuffled all these songs nicely and kept the guests engaged. I highly recommend him!!

Jason was extremely talented and organized, professional. We hired him to play guitar for our vow renewal ceremony and cocktail hour and then he DJ'd for the remainder of the evening. He was the first vendor I booked for good reason

I would have moved my wedding date to accommodate having Jason there. He added an element to my wedding that I dreamed about. Being able to walk down the aisle to live guitar music of our choosing was honestly magical. He turned around and played live guitar for the cocktail hour, and then did a great job DJing the event. He even provided uplighting and the sound equipment, making my day worry-free. Plus he’s a huge Beatles fan apparently, and one of the nicest guys you’ll meet. Can’t say enough nice things about him. Hire him, he will add an incredible element to your ceremony and keep your guests on the dance floor. It was really a perfect night, and Jason was a huge part of it.

Jason is the perfect combination-talented guitar player and DJ!

Jason Hobert did an amazing job at my daughter's wedding on the beach at the Sandpearl! His guitar playing at the ceremony and during the cocktail hour was simply beautiful. The fact that he could then also DJ the reception, made things so convenient. He provided great music, welcomed requests, and brought all his own audio equipment and lighting. Jason was easy to work with from start to finish. Just listen to his guitar playing on his website and you will hear for yourself what a truly gifted musical artist he is!

Beautiful Music by Jason!

Jason was so easy to work with for my wedding. I found him pretty quickly online with the great reviews he already had and I'm so glad I chose him! He played so beautifully for my ceremony and cocktail hour and it went so well with the venue; very romantic. The guests loved his music choices and playing and thought he was easy on the eyes too ;) He was quick and easy when communicating and always got right back to me. Honestly, he was the easiest part of the wedding planning process for me and I was relieved to find he played just like he does on his website. It's nice to not have to worry about anything on your wedding day and if you book Jason, he is one less thing to worry about; he will play you exactly what your looking for. I was sad that I only got to say hello to him on my wedding day since we were busy taking pictures, but I heard him all around the venue and it was beautiful. Don't hesitate to book Jason!! He is well worth it for your special day.

You WILL NOT find a better value than what Jason can provide.
Jason is an incredibly talented guitarist and takes pride in what he does. He is extremely thorough and is passionate about music.
What I liked best was there were no upcharges/add-ons; Jason played guitar, provided a sound system, served as emcee, played the music at the reception, and provided our lighting.

I hired Jason to perform at our ceremony, and cocktail hour, and then DJ at our reception. He was punctual and self sufficient, he came in and did his thing without needing much direction. I was so thankful for this because while I know I’m supposed to be the coordinator of my own wedding, I’m more of a “go with the flow” kind of person. The guitar music was beautiful and the perfect touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. We received so many compliments on his performance. As a DJ, Jason was a perfect fit for me and my group. We got in plenty of requests that he happily played- most DJs usually seem annoyed by requests but not him. The lighting that he included with the reception package really transformed the room as well. My husband and I both agree that he was one of our favorite parts about the night and we highly recommend him! Not to mention his price is very reasonable, I was looking forever and to hire a musician and a DJ separately would have cost at least double. I was so happy I stumbled on Jason’s page and that he had my date open- it was truly a dream come true for me to have a guitarist and also be able to stay on budget.

Jason was awesome!! He answered every single email and all of my questions and was very easy to work with. I got so many compliments from my guests on how well he played. Jason was early which was fantastic considering my wedding was in Winter Park! He was friendly and professional. He set up my ceremony exactly how I wanted going between acoustic to a particular MP3 I wanted played as I walked down the aisle. All my guests were raving about how fantastic he was during part of my reception with his song choices and amazing playing. I would suggest him to anyone who wants acoustic at their event!

Jason was the absolute best!! We hired him to play the guitar for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and DJ for reception. All of it was top notch. He had the party going during the reception. Jason was definitely a key factor in making our wedding ceremony & reception so magical.
His guitar playing was phenomenal and his management of the music the during the ceremony, toasts, reception along with professionalism really made the difference in making the night extra special.

We can't express how much your music influenced the whole impact of the ceremony and cocktail hour for us and our families. Each song for the ceremony was beautiful and meant so much to us. Jason provided prelude, processional, and recessional music as well as a wireless microphone and speaker for my Rabbi at my wedding this past weekend (2/4/17). Booking with him was very easy; he’s professional, timely in his responses, flexible, and priced very reasonably. He is able to play a wide variety of songs (and we definitely requested those on opposite ends of the spectrum) and many of my guests have mentioned how much they enjoyed him in the four days since our wedding. My day-of-coordinators said he was a joy to work with... it’s obvious he is booked often and is very good at what he does. I will always remember hearing such a special song to my husband and I on the beautiful acoustic guitar as I walked down the aisle with my parents on my sides. Thank you so much for that, Jason! Once I heard Jason Hobert - Professional Guitarist play, I couldn’t imagine anyone else filling the role at our wedding. He stands out against all other options and his music is nothing short of magical!

Jason resides in Tampa, but was willing to travel to Deland to play instrumental guitar during our wedding (acoustic) and our cocktail hour (acoustic and electric) and he then MC/DJed for our reception. Jason was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process and when it came time to decide which songs to play during the ceremony, Jason was extremely helpful in guiding us. He even agreed to learn two songs that were special to us—both played at our ceremony! In fact, I was so excited about hearing Jason play, I insisted on hiding behind a door 15 minutes before I would walk down the aisle just so I could secretly listen! I didn’t want to miss a chord!

Beyond his incredible talent, Jason is an absolute professional. He arrived early, stayed beyond his scheduled time and was incredibly personable—both to our guests and also our other vendors! Jason creates fans wherever he plays! In fact, he is the winner of Wedding Wire’s “Couple’s Choice Award”, which means he is in the top 5% nationally reviewed musicians!

Jason is beyond talented! I just cannot rave enough about how incredible he is. We felt lucky to snag him for our wedding and we recommend him to others without hesitation! He’s a class act and we hope we have the opportunity to hear him play again soon!

I was searching for a guitarist when I first started planning my wedding. I was so excited when I found Jason. His music was fantastic and our guests really enjoyed it. He was extremely professional throughout all our interactions, and had everything perfect for us! In addition to his amazing talent, Jason offers all his own sound equipment, microphones for the ceremony, lighting, and DJ services for an incredible price.

Jason exceeded my expectations for my daughter and son in laws wedding in October. He provided live music for both the ceremony and cocktail hour and flawlessly transitioned to DJ for the reception. Everyone enjoyed all the music he played. Additionally, his response time to questions is almost unheard of! I highly recommend him.

I hired Jason for my daughter's 11/4/16 wedding after hearing him play beautifully at a Bridal show. Even though he had to travel a distance, he arrived early and finished his set up long before the start of the wedding. Even though I missed his performance prior to the wedding and during most of the cocktail hour, our guests continually approached me with rave reviews. Jason was also a great DJ; he did a fantastic job with keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor. For a complete musical package, Jason Hobert is the perfect choice!

Jason was apart of our wedding on 10/29/2016, and he was absolutely amazing! Our wedding guests consisted of immediate family and close friends. His choice of music selection was great, and so many compliments! My guests loved how beautifully he played during my ceremony and cocktail hour on his acoustic. Our evening was perfect because of Jason. If you are looking for a someone to be apart of your wedding from beginning to end, Jason is definitely one to have hands down!

My husband and I were supposed to get married in Florida during the hurricane. Obviously that made things difficult, so we had to move things up a day. I was so pleased that Jason was able to come a day earlier when we had to move up our wedding from the 6th to the 5th. He is very professional. We hired him for the ceremony and cocktail hour. He is a very talented guitarist. He is able to blend into the background when needed and is a great entertainer when that is called for. His music was beautiful from what I was lucky enough to hear. My mother and friends raved about how great he was at entertaining both them and the kids during the cocktail hour. His repertoire is diverse and he seems very competent at judging what is needed for each moment. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend him.

Jason was the perfect choice for a musician and dj for our wedding! From the beginning he was very friendly, professional, and timely in his communication. At our wedding he played the guitar beautifully for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He then converted to an awesome dj for our ceremony. He played all of our song requests and was excellent at reading the crowd throughout the reception to keep the dancing going. Jason was the perfect musician for our wedding and we couldn't have asked for anything more! Please, if you're looking for a musician and/or DJ don't look any further!!

Jason helped us with acoustic covers during our cocktail reception and then went into DJ mode for our reception. He arrived right on time which is huge in planning a large event. You don't want to worry about that. We went over my idea for music selections prior to the event and was spot on with his selections. He really understood what we wanted and totally delivered. Do not hesitate in booking Jason!! He is amazing! His talent added warmth and elegance to my daughter's wedding. Our guests raved about him and his music brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't believe that he gladly made over a 3 hour drive to play at the ceremony and cocktail hour! We are so happy we found him!!

I am so happy I chose Jason as our ceremony musician!! He showed up earlier than expected to set up and provided my officiant with a mic and stand. He played 3 songs during the ceremony which sounded beautiful and provided us with an hour of cocktail music. He played outside on the venue patio and I heard nothing but great things about him! I truly recommend him, he made our day even more beautiful!

Jason is very talented. He plays guitar beautifully. He did such a great job with the dance portion of our night that our group requested him to continue playing (past the 11pm finish). He was helpful in us dealing with some challenges that were presented on the day of our ceremony.

My wedding was at Isla Del Sol in St. Pete with 75 guests and I wanted to select a musician or DJ service who would perform at the same level as our other vendors. Jason was a great addition to our day and gave an acoustic guitar performance during our ceremony and DJ'd the reception. He was flexible in the planning before the wedding and executed on all of the points he promised and exceeded our expectations.

Jason was terrific. He always responded to texts/emails promptly and was very polite and professional. He switched from guitarist to DJ so that the kids could dance to music from the original artists. He even took it upon himself to learn the game Coke/Pepsi, at my son's request. He was very easy to work with and very talented!

Jason was our wedding guitarist and DJ. His guitar is simply unmatched. For the reception, Jason did lights and DJ. His preparation was thorough, and he was very prepared. He learned a special arrangement for our ceremony and worked with us on a reception playlist. We couldn't have been happier with his music.

Jason was awesome! He was very professional, and personable! He is on top of his stuff! We kept in touch via email, met at the venue, and went over my expectations for the big day. He showed up early to set up and stayed to help us tear down! He played beautiful acoustic guitar through the cocktail hour and dinner and transformed into a DJ after! Jason was great! He is so very talented...really amazing on the guitar. He was very easy to work with prior to the wedding--learned songs that he didn't know previously. We were so excited to have Jason play at our wedding ceremony. Jason was very professional in all areas; from keeping in touch with us during the planning phase all the way to the end. We requested beautiful elegant music so Jason provided Bach for us. After our wedding we received several compliments from family and friends.

Jason was great! He got back to me quickly and learned some songs for my wedding. Then, when we had a mishap with the sound system, he offered to leave his until the reception was finished (even though his contracted time was up). His ability to play the guitar is fabulous, and his sound fit in perfectly with my beach wedding. He's a quality guy and a great musician. I'd highly recommend him!

Jason was great all around! I would definitely recommend him for ceremonies and receptions. He was even able to fulfill my pianist request, so having a guitar/keyboard duo at the ceremony and cocktail hour was perfect- especially for the price!

Excellent musician/DJ!

Jason played his guitars for our ceremony and reception, then became a DJ for the wedding party. He was easy to work with, flexible when we had an unexpected event delaying the wedding, and had the party going all evening. Guests and the couple were very happy, We were told several times this was the best wedding ever and Jason was a big part of it. Awesome guy!

We hired Jason to play guitar during our cocktail hour and ceremony. Because we were doing photos during he cocktail hour, we didn't get to hear him play, which is a shame, because everyone said he was fantastic. What we can speak to is his professionalism, punctuality, and responsiveness. He also seems like a nice guy, and he learned a new song that we wanted for our recessional.

We had specifically wanted to hire a local artist to perform our ceremony music, rather than a big company, and Jason was a great choice. Perhaps the best thing I can say about him, other than his musical skills, is that he showed up, did what we asked, and never caused us a moment's stress about anything.

Jason plate for our wedding in a quiet small church setting. I wife and I had no specific requests and asked him to play music that would fit the mood. His choices seemed perfect, and he was able to adapt to the inevitable unforeseen changes on the spot. He was on time and ready long before the ceremony started.

Jason Earned $595 to Write Two Emails

We paid Jason $595 to write two emails. In August of 2020 we decided to cancel our large ceremony and reception in Florida for December. There was no longer any use for Jason’s services and even with a cancellation five months out and the support of a pandemic we were locked into a slimy contract demanding the full cost of his services. So our relationship with Jason consists of this: two emails, and an expensive unearned PayPal. If there is any chance you will be adjusting your wedding due to the pandemic, do not book this vendor.
