Jason was fantastic & all of our photos turned out so awesome. He asked thoughtful questions over a Zoom meet & was almost as excited as us to travel up to Big Bear for a woody engagement shoot! Our Temecula wedding was shot absolutely beautifully. Exactly the vibe we were going for. Great guy, great photographer! -

Jason is Amazing! His work is incredible and he is really easy to work with. During our search for our wedding photographer we were a bit nervous because we waited until only a few months before the wedding. If you are debating getting a wedding photographer....I’d strongly suggest to do it. We almost decided not to but ended up doing it last minute and we are so happy we did. It is soooo cool seeing Jason’s amazing photos of us and it really made the day feel like a “real wedding” when we were doing all the fun photos with family/friends and the wedding party! Jason was quick to respond and was very flexible with initial meeting times. He said we could all Skype or phone call and we decided a phone call was more than enough. Jason was very detailed and a true professional at his craft. We were planning everything ourselves so we were a bit overwhelmed but Jason took about 30 min explaining everything and helping me adjust our timeline to create a better flow for the day. The day of the wedding he was early to the venue and messaged both bride and groom to make sure we had everything set up and if there was any last minute changes. As the groom, it was my first time being professionally photographed so I had know idea what to expect or what I should be doing... I let Jason know and he totally took over and walked myself and my bride through everything. There was no hesitation from Jason, he knew exactly what photos he needed and when to take them. He had us do all kinds of creative poses and took us around the venue to multiple spots we would never of thought of to make sure we had the best results from all angles. He was fun and relaxed the entire time which helped everyone else get in the same mood. He made sure he captured all of the essential shots and checked in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was going smoothly and to check if we wanted to add any additional last minute photos. He made sure to check in before he left and even showed us and some of the wedding party some of the photos he had got which I thought was really cool. Thanks again for being so awesome Jason! -

Lindsey Sent on 07/20/2018We are so impressed and SO GLAD we chose Jason as our photographer! While I reached out to a ton of photographers on the search for our December wedding, I knew we wanted someone who was good at night time lighting (since the majority of our wedding will be in the evening). After seeing Jason's portfolio, meeting him over a Skype call, and doing our engagement shoot last week, we feel like we got a jackpot photographer. He worked with us in our budget, flexible with the timing and ultimately had an eye to get the perfect shot (we did not feel rushed whatsoever).
His style is unique in that he knows how to work with lighting and incorporating the scenery in the background to enhance who we are as a couple. My fiancé and I were surprised at how fun the engagement shoot was and felt super comfortable with Jason, and appreciated his suggestions for how we should pose (or not pose) for the camera.
We give him 5/5 stars, and would highly recommend him for any photography venture. Can't wait to add to this review after our wedding this December! -

Katy Sent on 01/30/2018I loved working with Jason! We found his information on Wedding Wire and loved how he captured the nature in his photos. When I reached out to him, he was very responsive- we had a quick phone conference, and then he quickly made a proposal for us--which was very flexible to our budget.
We had so much fun working with Jason and Tony on our wedding day. They both were so laid back yet professional and captured the most beautiful photos. I hope our paths cross again, thanks for making our day so perfect!

Michele Sent on 01/13/2018I found Jason last minute for my wedding since our original photographer bailed. I’m glad it happened this way because Jason is an amazing photographer. All by himself, he captured the most amazing photos from all sorts of angles. My husband and I are shy and introverted so we don’t really like crazy poses, especially my husband who doesn’t like taking pictures at all. Instead, Jason captured great candid moments that we absolutely love! He listened to all of our needs and requests and honestly, I don’t think anyone could have done a better job. The quality of the pictures are perfect and Jason spent a lot of time with me to help create the perfect wedding album. I guarantee if you hire Jason, you will not be disappointed!

Zabrina Sent on 10/10/2017From start to finish Jason Berry is the best photographer I have worked with!! I researched about 20 photographers and Jason was the one!! He is very professional and friendly. He is very diligent and prompt with his communication! He is very responsive!! Out of all of my vendors, he was the easiest to work with because he was on top of it and spent the time to make sure all was coordinated properly. Jason treated us like we were his most important client. His classic, artistic style is amazing!! Everyone loved our pictures!! My friends have been asking about my photographer so his pictures refer themselves. He was flexible with our schedule and we had the most detailed wedding as far as the itinerary. Jason was able to capture all the magic moments. Jason is worth every penny and more appreciation for his help in making our wedding awesome!! -

Cassie Sent on 12/30/2016When we started our search for a photographer, we wanted not only a professional but someone that we could easily call a friend. From the first moment of meeting Jason we knew we had found our photographer. He has a real passion for his work and this is can easily be seen through everything that he creates. Our initial meeting went for hours which was a testament to just how well we all clicked and got along. Always willing to answer our questions and provide advice on how to make our wedding day just right.
We got married at Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii and Jason easily captured every special little moment that we could have hoped for. Not being models ourselves, Jason was more than ready to give ideas and get creative to make the day even more unique and magical. He was there holding our hand every step of the way and we will be forever grateful for him going above & beyond. Our photos were better than I could have ever imagined. Truly, I can't even say I have a single favorite one...there are just so many which I fell in love with. Our family and friends were mesmerized. They said the photos are so beautiful that they belong on the cover of a magazine.
What surprised us the most, was just how fast Jason was able to process our photos. I've had friends that have had to wait months, but Jason was on top of it and was able to give us ours within weeks. He even released sneak peaks via social media to help us celebrate and share our special day with family and friends. We are truly grateful to have found Jason and had the opportunity to work with him. If you haven't found a photographer yet, I highly recommend hiring Jason. You will never find a more passionate, creative and talented photographer!! Seriously Jason thank you, our day wouldn't have been the same without you :) -

We would strongly recommend not hiring Jason Berry Photography. We hired this vendor for our wedding in July, and we had a negative experience both in terms of the photography product we received and also in terms of the vendor’s unprofessional conduct towards us as clients.
We were initially most excited for Jason Berry amongst all our vendors, but there were a number of issues, incidents and disappointments. In terms of product, we were displeased with our gallery. His skill is obvious and other albums gorgeous, so we were frustrated and upset to see less than five bridal portrait shots, and all taken in a messy area, in addition to other missing or poor photos. He circulated a survey to us before the wedding, and we identified exactly the kinds of photos we wanted, among other preferences.
We selected the “Wedding Collection 3” package for $3200, with 8 hours with two photographers, and we requested the advertised 10% off from the Wedding Wire discount. Part of the package included a “Wedding day timeline and engagement session consultation,” yet the photographer was unresponsive and only available to consult while we were driving to Rehearsal Dinner two days beforehand.
We exchanged an engagement shoot typically required in the package, and included one extra hour the day-of where we hoped would accommodate for more time to take portrait shots, especially since we explicitly planned the reception to be a five-minute drive from the church. But many photos were un-usable in terms of blinking, looking away, etc. At the reception, he promised us sneak peaks in the next few days. We were excited. We reached out to him a few days after the wedding, but he told us he was unavailable to provide us with sneak peaks that week due to personal commitments. He made us feel like a nag, yet it’s the vendor’s responsibility to communicate a change in expectation. We later checked instagram and noticed he’d posted photos of us but didn’t share or tag us (even though we shared this info in the survey).
This leads into our experience with his professional conduct and customer service, which was upsetting and insulting. Out of excitement, we agreed in advance to purchase an album for $850, but based on the issues above, we requested a refund over a phone call. We simply did not have enough of a variety of usable photos in the gallery to provide a selection to him to create an album. (He also initiated but never followed up on scheduling a meeting where we could go through the photos together when he initially shared the album with us.) Jason refused, and he complained it was due to my wife’s church’s “shitty lighting.” Again, the premises were large, he had time to check out the lighting beforehand and come up with the game plan. We suggested beforehand to take portraits at the reception venue, which he said wouldn’t be necessary.
So, he offered to have us choose “a few frames and canvases” instead of the album. Yet when we did from his website, earnestly spending a great deal of time picking out an equal value of frames and canvases, he chastised us for choosing too many. He provided no guidelines, so we assumed we could choose a selection equal to the price of the album (850). He became very aggressive and confrontational and still chose not to provide us with any direction (e.g. product dimensions) besides sending over 2 file names.
We would strongly urge prospective clients to avoid Jason Berry Photography. We did not receive the services paid for or expected, nor were we treated with respect. A photographer could preserve life’s most precious occasions. Regrettably, our experience made this occasion more stressful, painful and very frustrating. While it’s difficult to write a poor review of a wedding vendor, we feel obligated to share our experience.
