We ordered our wedding cake from Jarosch Bakery and couldn't have been more happy with how it turned out! My husbands parents got their wedding cake here and have been going back ever since. They were great and easy to work with. We had an initial meeting to discuss what we wanted and a few months later I email them a photo of my inspiration. They delivered the cake on time to our venue and all our guests had rave reviews about it! Our florist even added a little greenery to it! We didn't do a tasting, so I'm sure that is something you can request. My husband has tried a majority of what they offer! I would definitely use Jarosch again for future cake/baked good needs! -

The staff was very professional and delivered their cake within the time frame we agreed upon. We got so many compliments on the cake! Guests really enjoyed the taste of the cake and how beautiful it was! -

Katie Sent on 11/08/2014When I started working in Elk Grove Village, I heard whispers about how amazing Jarosch Bakery was.. and that is an understatement! Jarosch is full of amazing employees and even better bakers! We got a sample cake, and they were so accommodating about helping us find flavors that were good - especially since I'm allergic to chocolate. Their banana cake is so good! Also try the Irish Cream filling; it tastes like Baileys. Our cake turned out beautiful.. better than I ever expected. Everyone was raving about the four flavors we chose to have in it. We liked it so much that two weeks later we ordered another small cake just so we can sit back and enjoy it some more =) Highly recommend going here for any cake, bread, cupcakes, cookies or desserts you might need! Jarosch also supplied the cookies for our dessert bar. -

Nicole Sent on 09/16/2012Cake tasting was my favorite part of wedding planning but after finding Jarosch we had to stop tasting because they had everything we needed and wanted. The cake was excellent and it was an affordable price. Our wedding cake was red velvet with cream cheese filling= to die for. Jarosch's red velvet recipe is second to none! They have a whole book of wedding cake frosting designs that can be done at no additional charge. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very professional. We saved money on our cake by having a 3 tier "display" wedding cake and then we had 3/4 sheet cake in the back that no body saw. The sheet cake provided us with servings for half our guests and we opted to choose a graham cracker with cream cheese filling for that one. I'm a red velvet gal but that one was very good! The cakes arrived on time and the display cake was just georgous! I highly reccomend them. We will be making the trip up to Jarosch for some goodies again soon.

Danielle Sent on 11/07/2009We worked with Kathy a lot and I have nothing but nice things to say about this bakery.
The price was one of the more reasonable ones I found out there and their cake was yummy! She definitely worked with us when figuring out our number of slices and budget.
Everyone who works there is pleasant. Kathy is super responsive through email...although not an easy cookie to get a hold of in person. I believe she's only there Monday, Wednesday and Friday (only in the morning)? No complaints really. Worth every penny. I'm just praying my mom packaged my top tier perfectly...I am super excited to see what it will taste like in a year! =0) -

Christina Sent on 10/12/2009Jarosch bakery was recommended to me by family and friends as well as from the banquet hall coordinator. I did not have many requirements for a cake, and was stunned to see the beautiful cake that was delivered. My husband and I had the first taste of what would be shared with our guests and it was outstanding!!! We got a cake that fed 100 people at a killer price!
The recommendations that I received were right! It was awesome. -

The first thing is, I came in one afternoon and said "hey I want a wedding cake, I know what I want, I want to pre-order it now, etc." - I had no appointment - therefore, the professionalism aspect was a 4.5 just because a high school girl took my order and she seemed to not be used to it - this was likely my fault for being too enthusiastic to call.
Well she took my order perfectly. I had a very small two tier cake, enough to feed 30 people, I believe. Round tiers. The fillings were butter cream, red velvet, and raspberry! The outside was a smooth buttercream with a "lacy design," some beading along the bottom of each tier.
I can tell you right now just in general, I hate cake. Take me to a birthday party, I will likely pick at the piece I'm handed and toss it. I LOVED my cake. I could eat this cake weekly and not get sick of it... and I'm supposed to hate cake!!
The best part is, I only had to put a portion down. The rest was due two weeks before my wedding. It was very reasonable in price. I also did not have to pay a delivery charge (or cutting charge, at that) because they were automatically affiliated with my choice of venue.
So overall, I love Jarosch, and I'm counting down the days until I can have my top tier for my anniversary!! -

Anne Sent on 09/27/2014I liked this bakery the second I had my cake tasting. At first I was a bit uncertain of the professionalism of the establishment because I had sent them an email tasting inquiry from their site and they had never gotten back to me. But when I called them up a few days later, they were friendly and quick to accommodate me at schedule an appointment.
Once I walked it, I realized that it was a family run, small bakery and so they probably didn't have someone consistently manning the site and email responses. I had put down a $25 tasting fee before I walked into the bakery, which at first I was irked about, but not only did they tell me it would be deducted from my cake cost, should I get one from them, but I realized why they needed it; they had baked an entire cake with my requested cake flavors and frostings on each layer. Looking back on it, it seems that that would be the best way to give someone an idea of how a fresh cake would taste, but it was wonderful because I could take home the rest of the cake and have my husband, friends and family give me their input on the cake as well.
I only wanted a 14" round cake, no tiers, and they were very accommodating and willing to work with me. I got a red velvet cake and I provided them with some cake toppers and lots of decor toppers (Fake leaves, fake acorns, and paper flowers) for them to arrange as they saw fit. I told them they didn't need to use all of it my any means, but make it pretty, as I trusted their eye. While the cake I received was wonderful and beautiful, I was a bit surprised that they did in fact use all of the decor I gave them. It seemed a bit busy and crowded to me; but that was a very small concern of mine.
The cake itself was wonderful. I'm always a huge fan of red velvet, and this bakery knows how to do it right. I highly recommend their wares, they do beautiful work! -

Lisa Sent on 03/03/2012The cake was included in our reception venue package. Our cake at our wedding was AMAZING. Everyone told us how delicious it was. What everyone didn't know was that it was not the cake that we ordered. It was the original cake we wanted, but we changed the order in PERSON a few months before the wedding and they still gave us the original order. They get 5 stars for taste and design but I was disappointed that it was not the exact cake we wanted.
