Perfect hair and makeup as a bridesmaid!
The whole team was amazing—Phoebe did my makeup, and Kyra did my hair. I came in with inspiration pictures, and the end result was even better than I hoped for (and the longevity was fantastic)! All the team members were so fun and friendly, and did an amazing job. Everyone who got done up looked amazing!! Even friends who don’t usually wear much makeup were happy with their look—everyone looked SO good! Definitely recommend this team, I’ve never felt hotter! (This was a fun/funky wedding, so I asked for hair to mimic the rosettes on my hot pink dress, and a pinky makeup to complement the dress color—it was fun to see the range they could achieve from minimal to traditional to glam) -

Best decision!
Using Ashleigh and Autumn as my hair and makeup artists for my wedding day was one of the best decisions I made! They did such an amazing job and made me look SO beautiful. Ashleigh achieved the exact look I was going for and Autumn did an incredible job with my hair. They also were so sweet, complimentary, and just made my wedding morning so relaxing and special. Thank you both so much!! I would love to use you both again in the future. -

The best!!
Janay beauty is top-notch and I’d choose them over and over again! It was so easy to work with them and they also have such a great team! I had the honor of working with Amanda and she was amazing!! The team with Janay was communicative and professional. They were so responsive from setting up trials to wedding day. I had hair cancellation a month out from my wedding and Janay Beauty stepped in and added hair to my contract for me and all my girls. It took so much stress away! I could not recommend them enough. My bridesmaids have said this was their favorite look of any wedding they have been in! -

I can't recommend Janay Beauty enough. Communication prior to the wedding weekend was timely and thorough. We had a very large bridal party that needed both hair and makeup services. The team was prompt, professional, and helped our morning go smoothly with so many girls to get ready! Getting ready was one of my favorite parts of the wedding day, the Janay Beauty team was friendly and ultimate hype girls. We had so much fun and they made each of us feel so beautiful! I loved watching each of the bridesmaids and mothers of the bride/groom faces light up after seeing their finished hair and makeup! -

So Amazing
My bridesmaid, mother/in-law and I felt/looked so beautiful for the big day! Everyone was very complimentary about the service and guests were stunned by the women looking GORG! SO glad I found the Janay Beauty team for my wedding day hair needs! I booked with Kyle and she was a rockstar! Super fun energy, FAST and very talented. I knew she'd be great from the moment I met her during our hair trial. The booking process was super smooth and even if Janay was busy for other events or conferences, I heard back quickly from her assistant that she'd be in touch soon. Kyle was so fast we were all blown away! We had 7 ladies getting hair done and she finished ahead of schedule, even with a lunch break in between. She made my vision for my hair come true and it was perfect!! Couldn't have asked for a better stylist--highly recommend! -

I was looking for a makeup service that could do all of my bridesmaids, the moms, and flower girls' and do their hair as well. I thought this was going to be a super expensive venture, but Janay Beauty's prices were amazing! Ashleigh personally stepped in to do my makeup when the artist I did my trial with quit the company and I really appreciated this level of ownership for what happened. I'm honestly really glad it ended up being Ashleigh who did my makeup, because it turned out even more amazing than when I did my trial! Every one of us looked stunning, our hair was amazingly done, and it was so much fun to have a full team there on my wedding day to glam us all up. We utilized Janay Beauty's makeup services for my wedding and they were EXCEPTIONAL! We got to work with Amanda and Katie, who were absolutely amazing. They did full faces for 11 women and 1 man, catering each look to the individual's skin type, unique features and personal preferences. I genuinely felt like I looked like a princess and my makeup held perfectly for 18+ hours. Each person in my bridal party raved about the incredible service and how much they loved chatting with Amanda and Katie. They helped us feel so confident and relaxed! I was so happy to have Janay Beauty as a part of my elaborate, multi-event Indian-Hindu wedding. Ashleigh did my makeup for my welcome party, ceremony and reception. I had a different look for each event, and Ashleigh knocked each one out of the park. I came in with a general sense of the look I was going for, and her artistic vision and suggestions helped me get there for each look. I wanted glam, and she gave me glam! She also made me feel my best - her whole team has so much energy! I especially appreciated the eye patches to help de-puff my eyes at 4:30 am when we started makeup for my morning wedding ceremony!
I had a VERY large bridal party, and 10 girls had their makeup done and 6 girls had their hair done with Janay Beauty the morning of my ceremony. Janay Beauty was very helpful in creating our hair and makeup timeline, ensuring we were all done on time for pre-ceremony photos. Not to mention, every girl looked STUNNING, and the makeup lasted all day. We also opted to have an artist stay for touch ups, which I highly recommend.
You can’t go wrong with Janay Beauty for your hair and makeup needs for your wedding. Ashleigh is a kind, honest and wonderful person who runs her business with integrity and pride. Janay Beauty wants you to have your best wedding. -

We had 11 people and 2 flower girls, and Ashleigh, Courtney and their teams did an incredible job. Every single one of my bridesmaids looked like a model and I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt on my big day! Not only are they great at what they do, but you can really tell they truly care about their clients and want them to feel and look their best. Ashleigh and team went above and beyond to meet me before the wedding, respond to all my questions, recommend products to get and actions to take before the wedding, etc. They were truly amazing and I cannot wait to work with them again in the future! -

Words cannot describe how pleased I am with the services I received from Janay Beauty. I booked with Ashleigh and Amber for my September wedding. I was already completely enamored by my experience with Ashleigh at my trial; I came in really having no idea what I wanted and she talked me through every individual component to create a look that was literally to die for. On the day of, Ashleigh and Amber were prompt and so well prepared! The timing of our services was perfect. There are many talented MUA in the Cincinnati area who can create beautiful looks, but few if any could match the exceptional friendliness and sanitation that myself and my bridal party received. These ladies are kind, caring, and honestly just super chill and fun to be around (exactly the kind of people I needed to spend the morning of my wedding with)! Perfect Glamsquad
I cannot say enough about are fabulous glamsquad he traveled all the way to Louisville! They were so efficient and made everyone feel like a million dollars! Everyone didn't want to take their makeup off at the end of the night because they felt so pretty. The Glam squad or so fun and laid-back they even took boomerangs of my bridesmaids all glammed up. I cannot say enough about their professionalism and their high quality of work! My main makeup artist and hairstylist was Kim and she spent so much time with me during my trial and then the day of to get everything perfect! I wish I had more reasons to get glammed up so I could use this company again! -

Ashleigh Janay Conner from Janay Beauty was the artist behind all hair and makeup. From the moment I saw her work I knew I wanted her to do my bridal hair/makeup. Her and her team were so sweet, patient, caring, and creative! She showed up at 6am to get all my bridesmaids, the mothers, the flower girls, and myself ready. Ashleigh and her team worked non stop for 9 hours on 15 girls and we still were finished ahead of time. They made us all feel beautiful and then even stayed to touch up everyone before the ceremony and they gave us all touch up bags to last us the evening. My makeup still looked flawless after all the happy ceremony tears and didn’t move the entire night! My hair was still curled and perfect the next morning! Ashleigh and her team embraced all the wedding day craziness and made us all feel flawless! Thank you Ashleigh Janay and Cooper Todd for traveling all the way to our wedding and making me feel like a beautiful bride! I would recommend Janay Beauty to any bride!! My wedding Party Glam DREAM!
Ashleigh and her team were PERFECTION. I had a vision for each of my bridesmaids and grooms woman to look glam but unique individually and Janay Beauty came through. Ashleigh and her assistant were gentle and patient and attentive. They took care of me (the bride), two mothers and 4 bridesmaids as well as the best woman all within 6 hours. Liv, who did everyone’s hair knocked it out of the park with hair all on her own. Ashleigh + her team are absolutely, hands-down, the best glam squad in the area. Me, my friends, family, and bridal party were blown away by their skills. Our hair and makeup were FLAWLESS. Ashleigh did my HMU for my rehearsal dinner, then her and her team did HMU for me and my bridal party on my wedding day. There are a few things I want to share!
1. I was appreciative of how prompt, professional and accommodating Ashleigh was. As an out-of-town bride finishing up graduate school, it was tough to plan trips to cinci, but Ashleigh made the whole process stress-free.
2. Ashleigh’s regular updates and transparency on Instagram (@janaybeauty) made it easy to truly gauge the skill of her and her team. I love how she shares videos of the products she uses and how she addresses various skin types and age groups. She also takes photos of her clients throughout the stages of HMU and in different types of lighting. Most importantly, she always does a flash-back test! It’s incredible seeing the transformations she and her team create.
3. Ashleigh + her team have a perfect balance of being professional, but also fun and personable! They really contributed to the enjoyable and relaxed vibe we had going on as we got ready for the big day. As I stayed in touch with Ashleigh over the course of my long engagement, I felt a strong personal connection with her. I truly admire what a motivated, hardworking woman she is.
4. Most importantly, Ashleigh + her team made me, my bridal party, and my mom/MIL look and feel gorgeous! I cannot believe how smooth and flawless our skin looked. Everyone’s eye makeup was stunning, catered to each person’s eye-shape and comfort level with makeup. Ashleigh listens when you share what your vision is. Our makeup, as I requested, looked natural and romantic, but still done up enough to show through in photos. Everyone’s skin looked so freakin’ smooth! Our makeup also held up PERFECTLY even in the hot, humid summer weather. Liz did a fantastic job on everyone’s hair. I wanted simple, hair down, wavy curls for my bridesmaids. She even put clip-in extensions in for one of my girls!
Booking Ashleigh and her team was one of THE best decisions I made when wedding planning! Just do it! You won’t regret it =) -

Ashleigh Janay is simply amazing! She is incredibly professional and dedicated to her work. She did the makeup for my three bridesmaids and myself for my wedding. Each of us was interested in a different style/look (smokey, natural, etc) and she was able to make that happen. She made getting ready fun and stress-free for all of us. She took her time and made sure every little thing about my hair and makeup was perfect. It was 96 degrees outside, but my makeup stayed flawless. She even gave me a kit for touch-ups later. I would recommend her to everyone! -

Ashleigh is absolutely 110% top notch! I couldn't have asked for a better artist to make my special day even greater!!! From the minute she starts business, she is present, professional, reliable, and friendly. My journey with Ashleigh started when she worked at David's Bridal, and happened to sell me my wedding dress. She made my "say yes to dress" so much fun and special, and tailored my dress to fit my unique style. When I found out Ashleigh was a make up artist, I knew from that moment I had to have her for my wedding!! She was wonderful with the trial, and her work on the wedding day was flawless. All my bridesmaids looked so beautiful, and all of them thoroughly enjoyed their time with her. Having a large wedding party, she stayed on time, and went over and beyond to satisfy everyone. I wear very natural make up on a daily basis, so I wanted something similar but with the extra pop. She knew exactly what to do!! My husband was worried I wouldn't look like myself, and I assured him it would be perfect.... He loved it! With her business booming, for obvious reasons, I recommend booking her today, she is so worth it!! Ashleigh is beautiful both inside and out, and her work truly stands out above any I have ever seen. Thank you so much Ashleigh for being so wonderful!!! -

Ashleigh was AMAZING. By herself she had 7 girls including myself to do from 10am until 3 and she did so good not rushing through. I love her work and she did my girls and both moms and me which were very different styles and made us look beautiful. I can’t even tell you how much I sweat and my make still looked so good, with all of us! Highly recommends. ALSO Liv who did hair was amazing she did the girls updos exactly how I wanted them even with one girls hair being pretty short she did amazing. Everyone’s hair stayed up ALL night long even with the crazy dancing. -

My bridal party consisted of 10 people and they worked very efficiently to make sure everyone was done in a timely manner (which is definitely a huge feat for so many girls!) Everyone looked AMAZING! They truly took their time to ensure that everyone got the look that they desired! Not only did they make everyone look beautiful, but they made us feel that way too! We got SO many compliments on how great everyone looked. Also, it was a bonus that the makeup lasted literally the entire day (through rain and even the reception...heck my makeup still looked good the next day!!) Shina hands down is one of a kind. I told her a very vague look I was trying to achieve and she exceeded my expectations. Me and my fiancé hired Janay Beauty for our big day. We had our trial run done for our engagement photos and they hit it out of the park. Ashley is absolutely amazing with makeup. Very detailed, asked what we wanted, even took tips from pictures we showed her. By the time she was finished we looked better than the pictures we showed her. We had liv and Courtney do our hair. I am so tender headed and they were extremely gentle while being able to achieve what I asked for. My fiancé suffers from hair loss and was really worried her bald spots would show but they did an excellent job. Janay beauty was a perfect fit for my wedding day! Their hair and makeup artists are so talented and were able to complete everybody's look just the way they wanted it. My mother was worried about her makeup being too gaudy but they did such a good job and can make you look so natural. They were very punctual and kept to an organized schedule to make sure I was ready on time for my first look. My makeup, lashes, and hair stayed on all night even when I was a sweaty mess after dancing. Janay beauty was worth every penny. Highly recommend!! -

Amazing and down to earth!
Ashleigh and KiKi of Janay Beauty were amazing. They both were very easy to talk to and collab with to bring my wedding bridal look vision come to life. My bridesmaids absolutely loved them and loved that they still felt themselves but pampered for the day. The quality of service and vendor were much appreciated and I HIGHLY recommend these lovely ladies for your wedding!! -

I am so happy with my choice in Janay beauty and the team that worked our wedding day! It was a long day with a huge bridal party, and the team handled us seamlessly. Not only did everyone look flawless, but we had SO MUCH FUN! Brie and Amber took care of everything, including solutions to several non Makeup related issues that arose. They took charge and helped me feel relaxed and laughing. Courtney stayed calm and was very efficient with the girls’ hair. Once Liv came to assist, the hair got done ahead of schedule! Everyone loved their look! The most important thing is that it totally rained on us during outside photos and we STILL looked amazing. The Makeup didn’t budge and the hair still looked incredible. My look was so bridal and I felt like a celebrity. They left us with sample products to do touch ups later. They truly thought of everything and I couldn’t be happier. -

I wanted so badly to give Janay Beauty 5 stars, but unfortunately my experience with Ashleigh, who manages communication and bookings, made this one of my most stressful vendor experiences.
To clarify up front: Amber, the makeup artist who ultimately did my trial and all services on the wedding day, was phenomenal. She was kind, professional, and incredibly talented. I’ll be giving her a separate 5-star review. However, the way Ashleigh handled my booking process was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
I booked Janay Beauty on January 9, 2025, in good faith after hearing positive things from a friend. I signed their contract and paid the $500 deposit, and even submitted full payment for all 10 makeup services well ahead of the deadline. I respected all terms of the contract.
Issues with Communication
• My trial, scheduled for February 19, was canceled last-minute due to my assigned artist being hospitalized. I was sympathetic and patient as it was only February and the wedding is in May. I figured we had plenty of time to rebook the makeup trial.
• I noticed Ashleigh posting on Instagram looking for makeup artists for my wedding date — without updating me. This was posted in the middle of March. That is when I emailed her for an update on the MUA.
By April, Ashleigh informed me she’d be replacing my artist. That was understandable given the circumstances, but instead of providing a clear solution, she:
• Suggested I start my makeup at 5:45 AM for a 5:30 PM ceremony (completely unreasonable).
• Questioned whether 10 services could be completed in the timeline we agreed upon, despite this being outlined in my contract from day one.
• Shockingly, almost 30 days before my wedding, she suggested refunding me instead of honoring the contract — essentially leaving me without a makeup artist at the last minute. This was unprofessional, unacceptable, and caused immense stress.
Even after I reminded her I had paid in full for 10 people, she refused to work with me on adjustments unless it was on her terms. When I asked to remove one or two services to make it more manageable, she refused — despite earlier telling me she might cancel the entire booking. The lack of consistency and professionalism was astounding.
When trial dates were finally offered (after months of delays), almost none worked for me because they were scheduled so late in the process. The only option I was left with was May 23 — the day before my wedding. While Amber handled it with grace, no bride should be forced into a trial less than 24 hours before her wedding day due to disorganization.
Thankfully, Amber was absolutely incredible. She arrived on time, worked quickly and skillfully, completed all 10 people by 11:30 AM, and stayed for touch-ups until 12:30. She was everything you’d want in a wedding vendor: professional, talented, and kind. In fact, she was the opposite of everything Ashleigh made me fear leading up to the day.
I cannot in good conscience recommend Janay Beauty as a company because of the way Ashleigh operates. The disorganization, poor communication, and complete disregard for the stress she caused me were unacceptable. No bride should ever be put in the position of nearly losing their makeup team a month before their wedding.
If you do book Janay Beauty, I strongly suggest requesting Amber specifically. She was the only reason this vendor didn’t ruin my experience entirely. -

I booked Janay beauty at the recommendation of my wedding planner and I wish I would have done my own makeup.
The work she did was pretty and did last (in August heat) but her attitude was unacceptable.
It took a while to get the ball rolling communication wise, and I was unable to schedule a trial with her. I had a trail -with the second artist we had scheduled for my wedding- the day before and I liked what she did but seeing it made me realize it wasn’t quite the look I had in mind. We talked about this and all seemed good.
They started makeup a little later than they were supposed to for the wedding. When asked about the look for the bridesmaids I said that I just wanted each person to like their look and be happy. The second artist got an attitude when a bridesmaid didn't like her look and while she did try to change it and make it better it is unprofessional to be upset that someone doesn't like your work for whatever reason. There was no need to tell the room "no one has never not liked my work before".
Ashleigh did my make up and got annoyed that I couldn't focus as she tried to do my face while my planner and photographer tried to relay important information. She made me upset multiple times and got annoyed when I began to be overwhelmed. I understand that you cant be on the verge of tears when doing eye shadow but brides get emotional. She let me see my eye shadow and when I told her it was too dark and wanted more brown in the center instead of black she gave me 2 options - try to work over it or wipe it off. She didn't understand what I was asking. We wiped it off and started my eyes again, only for her to say "well I could have just blended that out if you had been clearer". I asked for a little sparkle at the end and she said "well I just spent all this time doing a matte lid for you". This is no way to interact with a bride on her wedding day. If I am asking for something make up wise and paying you, I should get what I ask for. End of discussion. Snarky comments and eye rolling is uncalled for. Her energy was so off-putting and rude that I didn't get any getting ready pictures.
Like I said- the make up did last through the important stuff and looked pretty, but when I am paying $95 a person, I want my make up to be fabulous and to feel somewhat uplifted when I am done in the make up chair. I felt very overwhelmed, and annoyed that the person I was paying didn't try to do what I asked and affected the joy of my special day
Having Ashleigh do my make up was the worst part of my otherwise perfect wedding day. -

Due to character limit, I’ve left a more detailed review on The Knot. From the trial to the day of my wedding there were issues. Photos attached show my inspiration and what was done at my first hair trial. Second trial went great, but the artist ended up being sick the day before my wedding. I went into my wedding day having a third person doing my hair for the first time. Although my makeup trial went nicely, she did not replicate that on the day of my wedding and it had to be completely redone by a different artist. We were behind schedule and the frustration of all of this made me regret choosing Janay Beauty for my wedding. -
