Amazing musician!
I cannot recommend James Davis highly enough. From my first contact, he was prompt, extremely courteous and highly professional. He provided the music for my daughter's Estes Park wedding. The music was fantastic! He also responded quickly to some last minute changes that we needed. James added the perfect touch to my daughter's Celtic wedding. You will not be disappointed! -

Look no further!
If you need a guitarist for your event, look no further! James performed for our wedding ceremony in Estes Park and was amazing. He was extremely responsive, accommodating, and played beautifully. His options for songs were endless and he even offered to learn new songs if necessary, but he has so many beautiful options this wasn’t needed. We’re thankful to have found him! -

Beautiful Music for a Beautiful Wedding
James was a wonderful addition to our daughter's wedding last week at the Overlook Chapel at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. He was great to work with in offering music suggestions and selections. James arrived early and was able to help us start the ceremony early due to weather conditions. Most importantly, his guitar music was beautiful and perfect for the wedding. We only wish we had had more time to listen to more of his wonderful music - but the rain came. -

James was a perfect fit for our outdoor wedding. With a mix of classical and modern mellow music, we achieved our vision of having a casual yet elegant setting. James even learned to play our special song for the conclusion of the ceremony. It made for the perfect ending for our "happily ever after" moment. He was very familiar with our venue at the Black Canyon Inn, so all we had to do was pick the music and give him a start time. He capably handled the rest. We're very pleased. -

We hired James to play at our ceremony at the Estes Park Resort. The hiring process was very quick and easy. He had plenty of options and made sure we had the music selection that worked best for us. Overall very professional guitarist and we are super happy with the outcome. Thanks, James! -

We had the most fantastic experience with James. The range and style of music he can play will fit any occasion. We had him play at our wedding that was in a private home and everything he played fit our personality perfectly. We are a very eclectic couple and really couldn't decide on a specific "style" and after talking with him he played songs that fit us perfectly. We highly highly recommend James, he is amazing!! -

My husband and I knew from the start we wanted live music for our wedding ceremony, and we were extremely pleased to have chosen James. He was very professional in his communications and his set up on the day. We found songs that were perfect for us from his repertoire for the processional and recessional (like "All You Need Is Love"), and he performed a lovely array of classical / Spanish guitar as the guests arrived and during our cocktail hour. Many of our guests gave us compliments on his beautiful performance and excellent musicianship. A wonderful touch to a special day! -

Hired James for my daughters wedding at Black Canyon Inn, Estes Park, CO. Her communication with him went very smoothly, mostly via e-mails. The day of the wedding James came quietly, set up with no needed direction (he had played there many times) My husband and I introduced ourselves, and then James asked to talk to the officiant. They discussed the ceremony and when the music was wanted. During the ceremony, a head nod by the officiant, notified James, it was time to play. The music was PERFECT!!! He started about 20 minutes before the ceremony as guests were entering, 3 times during the nuptials, and as everyone was leaving. Our venue did not need a speaker and he was plenty loud enough to to heard throughout. He provided to sweet Colorado outdoor spirit my daughter was envisioning. She requested all finger-picking style which it what James played. He closed up after everyone moved to the reception, and he was gone. We did notice him packing up his car, for a quick thank-you. No bothering us. His music was a wonderful addition to my daughters outdoor Colorado wedding. Thank-you James Davis! -

James was very easy to work with! He slipped right into place and starting playing at the exact time he said he would, and then slipped out quietly when he was finished. Our wedding was small, and he fit right in! We received many compliments on our music choice, and I would definitely recommend him to any couple planning their wedding!! He was great! :) -

James is a wonderful and professional musician who was always very prompt in responding to all of my emails. It was very comforting getting an email from James about a week before the wedding letting me know he looked forward to playing and confirming what time he would be there. He played just what we were looking for to complete our quaint aspen grove ceremony. I loved his cheery Celtic music selection. Our wedding wouldn't have been as remarkable without James there playing. -

We hired James to play music at our small wedding in Estes Park over Labor Day Weekend. We were able to pick out different music selections we liked and he played them at the ceremony and reception. My husband and I liked James's classic rock music (played acoustic style!) and James played a ton of it, which we super appreciated. James was attentive, punctual, and the perfect addition to our wedding! -

James is an extremely talented musician. He provided beautiful music at our Stanley Hotel wedding on 9.20.15. He played selections from the Beatles, Elvis, Iron and Wine and more. Our processional and recessions songs were beautiful. He even learned a Mumford and Sons song for our "Blessing of the Rings" special tradition. Our guests all commented on how much they loved him. I'd highly recommend James! -

James did a great job playing classical guitar for our ceremony. He did some beautiful Spanish Flamenco as guests arrived, then played acoustic "In My Life" as the groom and wedding party walked in. For the bridal march, he played "Hallelujah." It was so beautiful, it had us all in tears. And for the recessional he played "Here Comes The Sun." The acoustic/classic guitar set a really nice vibe for our wedding, and made us feel amazing as we walked down the aisle. -

My daughters wedding in Allenspark, CO was like a dream. James was an integral part of it. Hew was a professional, accommodating and an excellent musician. He was the only music for the ceremony and provided background music for the cocktail hour.
His rendition of "I will" as my daughters processional was awesome.
Recorded music would not hold a candle to this consummate professional. I recommend him with no hesitation -

We were absolutely thrilled with James Davis!!! We hired James to play during our ceremony and for several hours of the reception afterwards. We picked out a few specific songs for him to play during the bridal party entrance/exit and then left things up to him for the rest of the time.
James is a wonderfully talented musician, and my wedding guests LOVED having the beautiful and mellow guitar music. My maid of honor and father were so impressed with his music that they could hardly keep their eyes off him!
I would highly recommend James Davis play for anyone during their wedding! -

James and The Duo were amazing!!! We had a small wedding and The Duo was perfect for the reception. James played solo for the ceremony and we received so many compliments on his talent! The whole experience with James was so easy and stress free from the beginning. I even changed the father/daughter dance a few days before the wedding and he was fine with it.

We were lucky to book James as our guitarist for our outdoor wedding. He was easy to communicate with during the planning process and was very helpful when it came to song selection. About 2 weeks before the wedding, we decided we wanted a particular song played as the wedding march (a song not found on a typical wedding ceremony list). James did not tell us we were crazy, but instead was able to learn it in that short amount of time. Our guests go to enjoy him pre-ceremony and the music during the ceremony itself was seamless. He didn’t need anything from us but the songs, time and place so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. James is a bride’s dream! -

Having James play at our wedding was a special part of the ceremony. He did a wonderful job! Guests were able to go out to the wedding spot early and listen to music as they were seated. He also did a great job ending/starting music as appropriate based on where we were in the ceremony itself. He was also very flexible and helpful when we were selecting music. I would HIGHLY recommend him for your wedding! -

Excellent misic for our wedding! James adapted his music to accommodate our specific interest. His music was pleasant but not distractive. We wou recommend him for any occasion where quality is important!

James was so easy to work with. He worked with everything I requested and also helped in many ways outside of our initial agreement. He plays a lot of different music and his sound was very smooth and fun. I would hire James again. -

James was great. We had our wedding & reception at the top of Keystone ski resort and James played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. He was very flexible and easy to work with, and his music is great. -

James Davis was the ultimate professional. He accomodated our music tastes and played them all to perfection. He was courteous to me, my bride, family and friends and everyone was very impressed with the "atmosphere" that James and his music helped to create.

It was wonderful having James at our wedding providing the ceremony music. Many guests commented to us afterwards how great his music was and they thought it was such a great touch for the ceremony to have a live guitar. Would highly recommend. -

James did a great job with our ceremony music and the acoustic guitar was a really nice touch to the outdoor ceremony. I think his service was excellent for the cost, my only recommendation would be to ask for amplification for an outdoor ceremony as it was a little quiet considering the wind. Other than that I think it was a perfect addition to our ceremony! -

James Davis did a fantastic job at our wedding. He did acoustic music for our whole ceremony and even learned a new song for our unity. He played upbeat music for our cocktail hour and our guests really enjoyed it! -

James was extremely flexible and patient with our late planning and last minute music selections. he even offered to mic our officiant at no charge last minute. He was professional and talented. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without James. With everything one might be worrying about the day of their wedding, James made sure he was on his game. We asked to have three of our very special songs arranged for our ceremony, and before and after the ceremony, he filled in with his own original music - which was pretty amazing all its own.
Aside from his talent on the guitar, what really impressed me was that he wasn't there as a "vendor". Wedding ceremonies are one of his talents, but it felt like I had an old friend playing our wedding because he simply loves playing music. Book him, folks. He's good. -
