James captured every single detail of our daughter’s wedding. He spent an enormous amount of time with us on the phone prior to the wedding, even made a call to our priest to iron out the details to be sure he was properly prepared. Looking at the videos you would think there were 10 of him to capture all he captured. He put the entire day together delicately and beautifully to allow us to re-live that beautiful day. We will forever be grateful for his work and all he has done for us. Highly recommend!

We could not have picked a better photographer for our day. James went out of his way to communicate everything he was going to shoot and make sure you were comfortable with his film style. During the wedding, you could not tell he was there. Though, he was able to get every shot and make it feel like a movie. Very affordable and Very Flexible! The best of the best
It's impossible to convey the level of service we received from James. His commitment to our satisfaction and the vision we had for our special day cannot be overstated. He was extremely professional at all times, unbelievably dedicated to getting the shots that he thought would bring our special day to life for us whenever we watched our wedding videos, and so talented as a videographer and video editor. I don't know how he does it, and so quickly!
As busy and in-demand as he is, you would think scheduling time for a call would be difficult, but he makes it feel super easy.
His talent as a videographer is incredible. He captures key moments in such a way that you don't even think is possible. I've had the pleasure of working with him on several projects, including our wedding, and every time is the same experience.
And SPEED? Wow. He gets an amazing draft of the videos he promises done in record time. I don't know how he has the time to edit so quickly, but he does, and it's always so good. Obviously we had some changes, some ideas, and some additions, and he takes feedback very seriously and very graciously. Then, in record time again, he sends over another draft.
I HIGHLY recommend James Bonato. He's an amazing videographer and a fantastic human being.

When You Need Someone Who Knows!
I hired James Bonato because I needed someone with years of experience and the ability to know the exact content to capture for a once-in-a-lifetime experience - our son's wedding! James asked all the right questions before the wedding...questions I would have never thought to ask. Those questions gave him the answers he needed to be in the right place at the right time to capture our son's most critical and memorable wedding moments. His thoroughness put me at ease and gave me the confidence that nothing would be overlooked or missed during our extra special day.
He arrived early for the ceremony, checked in with me about some last details, and then went to work. He made it a priority to work with our photographer (no videographer photo bombs), and he made himself "invisible" as he captured "one-time only" moments from that extra special day.
The final video of that day was of top quality and, honestly, was more than we expected!
I would highly recommend James Bonato Video when you need someone who knows!

We're so thrilled that we were convinced to get a wedding videographer and that we found James on WeddingWire. His affordable price compared to others in the area was the initial draw, but once we started working with James, we really appreciated his friendliness, responsiveness, and professionalism.
Within a week from the wedding, James sent us an edited 10 minutes highlight video. He took feedback openly and immediately made some edits to meet our needs. He also sent us the full wedding recording, which was so great to watch since as bride and groom there were so many moments that we missed.
James' editing style is not like a movie trailer, like I saw other videographers do, but it's a chronological capture of the event, with some stylistic and creative elements - which is exactly what we wanted.
I'm sure we'll cherish these videos for many year, and we recommend James to others without hesitation!

Captured amazing moments!!
James captured amazing moments from my wedding day. The morning of my wedding, we had issues with other vendors that unfortunately affected some emotions in the room but even in all the unplanned chaos we had, James somehow captured BEAUTIFUL moments with my friends and family. He was also really fast at delivering the footage to us and was very receptive to any feedback we may have had. He’s an absolute pleasure to work with and I will be hiring him again for any other big events we might have in the future!

Don’t let this Videographer get away from you!
James was wonderful from beginning to end. He provided two videos: one short and one long. Both were of excellent quality and the short version was perfect to share with family and friends. He was even flexible on the day of the wedding and worked with the other vendors. I highly recommend him for your wedding or any event, for that matter!

We had THE BEST experience working with James. He was professional, kind, responsive, reasonably priced, and delivered an amazing highlights wedding video to us 7 days after the wedding-and the video was perfect (with a flash drive of the full wedding mailed to us in 7 days as well). On the wedding day he arrived 3 hours early just to walk the area and know the lay of the land (on his own time- not being paid for that). I just can't say enough about how much I enjoyed working with him and how pleased we were with the results.

Choose James for all your videography needs!
James is the best! His turnaround time for both the highlights video and the full wedding video was incredibly fast! Our wedding day went by quickly, so having the videography content less than 2 weeks after the wedding really allowed us to relive our special day! As the Bride and Groom, we can't be everywhere at once but James's videography captured all the beautiful moments that we missed!
James came with so many fun ideas - the Groom and Groomsmen had such a great time filming quirky, fun getting-ready clips with him! He is very energetic and personable and super fun to work with! He was flexible and accommodating throughout the wedding planning process, even when we needed to change our date due to COVID. Even though he didn't know our photography team prior to the wedding, he worked very well with them so that they could both capture the shots they needed without getting in each others' way!
The picture and sound quality of his videos were amazing! He was able to capture our whole wedding ceremony and reception for us! We were so impressed with James and are happy we chose him to capture our special day!

So Happy with Our Videographer!!
James is an incredibly kind, personable guy who did an excellent job getting every angle and providing a quality, 90-min wedding reel with an insanely fast turnaround time (about a week). He also gave us a 7+ minute highlight video which was so beautifully edited and captured so many special moments. My family and friends have raved about the video and I still cry every time I watch it. James goes the extra mile to get great sound and perfect angles and he’s always available for a conversation if you have questions. He was such a pleasure to work with from our very first phone call. And James was incredibly kind and accommodating when we had to reschedule our wedding twice because of COVID. We can’t recommend James enough! Use him and you’ll be glad you did!

James was an amazing videographer for our big day! He captured every little moment that was so special to us. The Videographer you NEED for your Wedding
We were so glad we hired James to do our videography for our wedding on June 4. The quality of the videos (he provides a short version and long version of your wedding) were very impressive, and we got our videos within one week of our wedding! He was so professional and made you feel comfortable that he would capture all of the good moments, moments you may have missed and more! He was very easy to talk to and answered all of our questions with ease as he has many years in the business. Definitely hire him for your videography needs!

Fantastic Videography
James did a fabulous job for my daughters wedding. He was so professional, cheerfully accommodating the terms of the church’s photography contract. You barely know he is present during the event but somehow he captures great footage! As an editor/producer, he takes great care to put together a very balanced and moving composition from the beginning solemn moments of you ceremony through to the joyous moments of the day. Overall, he is a great guy to work with and you will be thrilled with his work. You could probably spend more elsewhere and get half the value. I’ll be calling James again for my next event.

Perfect Videographer!
We had an amazing experience working with James. We could immediately tell when we first spoke with him that he is very experienced and passionate about his work. He communicated and listened well to everything we wanted and captured all the intimate moments just as we asked. He was also excellent in working with our photographer. James sent us our highlight wedding clip within five days, and we received both the short and long versions of our wedding video after one week! When we had to postpone, he was so accommodating, flexible, and understanding in helping us navigate our wedding planning through the pandemic. We did not have any issues keeping him as our videographer for our new date, and there were no extra fees. We 100% recommend James to anyone seeking a videographer for their wedding. Awesome Videographer!
We hired James back in 2019 and he stuck with us through two COVID delays. When our big day was finally approaching, James set up a call where we discussed our vision and went over some key details. He was actually able to catch an error in the timeline my planner put together! Talk about an eye for detail. On our wedding day, James was incredibly easy to work with. He managed to capture moments that I didn't even know happened. He was somehow everywhere but at the same time not noticeable. We had our short and long video in our inbox within a week after our wedding day. Honestly, we were skeptical given how quickly we got it, but I was simply blown away! James was beyond amazing. We got married at Morningside Inn in Frederick, MD. He was their recommended videographer. He’s been doing work there for nearly 30 years. We had great communication prior to the event. The day of he was everywhere making sure everything we needed was taken care of. He made us feel comfortable and ready for our big day. After the event he had our highlight clip to us within 4 days and had our full video sent out within a week. I’d recommend him to anyone that’s getting married or has an event they want documented. We had James from 2pm through the end of our event at 1030pm

Our videos are the sweetest memories to have of our wedding day - getting a videographer is always worth it to see the walk down the aisle, see people dancing, and easily relive the day (I was hesitant, but after watching them, there is no question). We got both a longer version which includes the entire ceremony, and a shorter version, and both are so professionally done. If you are looking for an absolutely amazing videographer - look no further. James was amazing right from the beginning. He responds quickly to emails and really looks out for his clients. He offers the best possible package to fit your budget and does not try to "nickel and dime" you for extras. My daughter's wedding was changed due to Covid-19 restrictions and James was very accomodating in making sure he was available for the new date. James was great to work with leading up to the wedding (very responsive, talked us through his day-of plans) and was very unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception itself (while still managing to get great shots, including close-ups of the alter and ceremony and panoramic shots of the dance floor). He provided a highlight video and a USB with all of our coverage less than a week after our wedding and I'm so glad we decided to work with him--the video really makes everything come to life and is a great way to re-live the wedding day and catch highlights of guests and the dance floor that my husband and I missed out on!

I got James' name through a friend of a friend, and was so thankful he was available on such short notice. My fiance and I didn't decide until about a month before the wedding that we wanted to hire a videographer. He responded quickly when I contacted him, and seemed very kind when I spoke with him on the phone, which helped put a nervous bride at ease! He was punctual and basically "blended" into the background the day of the wedding, which is a good thing when it comes to videographers! His prices are beyond reasonable when compared to other vendors we looked at, and we're very pleased with the video and highlight reel we received. Thanks for the good work James!

So happy with choosing James as our videographer
Thank you James for being our five-star wedding videographer -- particularly on short notice! While there are so many vendors to choose from, this was an easy choice for us. James was a delight to work with, from the very first phone call all the to the wedding day. He is very knowledgeable and excellent at his craft. Above all, James has been passionate about making us happy and delivering a high quality product for us to cherish and enjoy for years to come.

Amazing videographer for the best value!
James was a delight to work with. He was consistently responsive, took our opinions into play, and produced the DREAMIEST video of our perfect day. He was present in every part of our wedding, but was inconspicuous/ barely noticeable. Would recommend him in a heartbeat!

One of the best decisions we made
One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was going with James for our videography for our wedding at Whitehall Estate in Leesburg, VA. He was absolutely everything that we wanted in a videographer. He was very friendly, professional, easy to work with, and did a wonderful job at the video. His video brought both my parents and my husband's parents to tears. He worked well with our photographer to collaborate ideas for different shots. His idea for us to run in the vineyards at the wedding venue was actually our most favorite photo of the night. We would highly recommend him and are absolutely grateful for him capturing our wedding day. He really takes the time to make sure your special day is captured in a beautiful way that you can watch for years to come.

Fantastic experience with a thoughtful vendor!
James was a fantastic videographer! My husband and I found him somewhat last minute and he (very fortunately) happened to be free. I told him what I wanted and he was super receptive and listened to our thoughts/preferences (which I found when interviewing DJs is not always the case). When I talked to him again, he remembered what I had said. He was timely, thoughtful, and made an amazing end product that we love! We are super grateful James ended up being our videographer and would highly recommend him.

He Should Get An Oscar!
To be honest, my wife was the one who was more concerned with a videographer for our wedding. I was never super pumped about it and when out videographer fell through at the last minute, it didn't really phase me. Tesa found James though and not only did he help us out, but he proved me 100% wrong. He was good to work with, barely noticeable during the entire evening, and the work that he did on our video was absolutely fantastic. I was expecting to see just a "stationary camera" idea and the product that he submitted to us rivaled a motion picture experience. And to top it all off, he took the extra effort to send us a short highlight video that we were able to watch during our honeymoon!
I cannot recommend James more to anybody who hopes to relive their wedding whenever they find an opportunity!!

James Bonato, best videographer ever!
We are so happy we chose James Bonato to capture our December wedding. He is phenomenal! From the very beginning during our initial phone meeting to our wedding day, he was super nice, patient, friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. We briefly explained what we wanted for our wedding video, and we then let him work his magic, and the final product was just perfect. We are in love with every minute and moment captured in our video. Awesome work! We are so happy that we get to relive the memories of our wedding day over and over again in the most amazing way captured in the video. We highly recommend James Bonato to all couples for the best wedding video ever!

We definitely do not regret hiring James Bonato! The videos were spectacular and the biggest surprise was receiving the short and long videos a week after the wedding...and the long video was over 2 hours long! James caught all the wonderful moments and was great to work with. Communications up to the event were professional and received in a timely manner. We highly recommend James's services and hiring a videographer. The wedding day happens so fast it is wonderful to watch the videos and see interactions you missed. It is terrific to have a keepsake we can look back fondly on for the rest of our lives!

We had an amazing experience with James! From the very start he was so helpful and understanding of what we were looking for on our wedding day. James is so great! We spoke a few times prior to the event to discuss timelines and he was accommodating and easy to work with. He had our short video to us in less than a week and the long video shortly after. We love them both! He showcased the most important parts of the event, the party, our venue, invitation, and all of our little details in the video. Great quality, very professional, super responsive, and great to work with- we’d highly recommend James.

Choosing James Bonato Video to capture our memories on our daughter's wedding day was truly one of the best decisions we've ever made! James has a wonderful, upbeat demeanor and a clear enthusiasm and passion for what he does. From my very first conversation with him and throughout the entire process, I knew we were in good hands.
James Bonato's years of experience, combined with his professionalism, extensive knowledge, and attention to detail is absolutely incredible and we couldn't be happier with his services.
The day of the wedding, James arrived early to the venue and we were thrilled when he began capturing our memories almost immediately. Throughout the entire evening, we were so impressed with his ability to literally be everywhere at once while being completely unobtrusive at the same time. James not only captured all the special moments of the evening and all the fun had by family and friends, but he also captured the small details that are often missed on days like this. We knew as we watched him that night, the final result would be incredible and we couldn't wait to see it.
We definitely didn't have to wait long! We received the videos just a few days after the wedding and we were blown away by how beautifully they turned out! We hired James to shoot our wedding. I have had lots of videos in the past - bar/bat mitzvah, weddings, etc. James is by far the best I have ever worked with. He is pleasant - incredible attention to detail - creative - - the final videos were magnificent. He got "all the good stuff" - but you would have never known he was there - very unobtrusive. I enthusiastically recommend James. He is a true master!!

We contacted James on relatively short notice, about two weeks before our wedding, and contracted for him to do a 'documentary' style video. He was incredibly responsive and met every expectation that we requested. He was generous with his time and talent and the end result is an awesome video of our special day. Our video was waiting in the mail when we arrived home from our mini-moon. It was great fun to watch it so soon afterwards. We were amazed at how quickly he turned the project around.
