Words cannot describe how pleased with and grateful I am for Jacqueline and her team. She made me and my bridal party feel so special on my wedding day, and our hair and makeup was executed flawlessly. Though we had a very early start time and a large group of 10 people, Jacqueline took extra strides to make this a seamless morning. She arrived early, set up our hotel suite ahead of time, and brought us champagne and orange juice. The facials her team provided before makeup were so relaxing and set the tone for a calm, stress-free morning. We finished on time and I still had ample time to take photos and chat with my bridesmaids before having to leave for the ceremony.
Another reason I really enjoyed working with Jacqueline was her attention to detail and planning. We had a planning call with all my bridal party ahead of time to discuss their inspiration, comfort level and hair / facial features. Many of my bridesmaids had never had their makeup professionally done, but she made them feel so comfortable, and their makeup turned out perfectly. I also love her style of makeup – elevating and enhancing one’s natural features. I don’t wear makeup very often, so I loved still being able to recognize myself – I just felt flawless the whole day.
Hiring Jacqueline was the best decision I could have made and she truly made me feel pampered, beautiful, and prioritized on my wedding day. -

Best hair and makeup artist ever!
Jacqueline was truly amazing from start to finish! She was so organized with the entire process and she was so good at going over every single thing! She made sure I was comfortable enough to speak up with any concerns during my trial and made sure I was 100% happy with the results. I really loved that she asked me lots of questions in order to achieve the look I had envisioned in my mind for my wedding day and she executed the Vision flawlessly! On the day of my wedding I would have never felt relaxed if it weren’t for her amazing preparation! I was completely in love with my hair and makeup and with the way she prepped my skin as well! Excellent Service
I hired Jacqueline for a brand shoot in fall of 2024. I was beyond satisfied with her services. Not only is she kind and caring, but is thorough and is there to answer any questions or concerns that I had. The hair and makeup was on point, beautiful and tastefully done AND exactly what I was expecting. I stumbled upon Jacqueline on Instagram and was very impressed with her scope of work. I wanted to only hire one makeup/hair artist for my small intimate wedding for myself, mom, and sister. She was very responsive and worked with my schedule for the trial. I felt very comfortable with her and she really "studied" my skin and hair... on my wedding day I was blown away! A year has passed and I still cannot get over how my makeup and hair turned out. I felt my best. She did an amazing job on my mom and sister as well. Beyond Amazing
From the first visit, Jacqueline was both professional and fun. I hoped to look pretty for my wedding - but she transformed me! I felt more beautiful than I thought was possible. What I never expected was for my makeup artist to add such atmosphere to the day! Jacqueline is a great hairstylist & makeup artist who was flexible enough to squeeze me in her tight schedule a week before my wedding. I originally had hired her for my bridesmaids months before my wedding and another hairstylist was going to do my hair and makeup but unfortunately because of covid, she was not able to do so. As a panicked bride to be, I knew I was not going to find another hairstylist in such short notice. I then thought of asking Jacqueline to see if perhaps she could add me as well, and thankfully she did. I loved that she reached out to me and emailed me a contract, and was always very quick to respond via text about any concerns I had. She arrived on time, did an amazing job in hair and make up and even went above and beyond to help me put on my dress and shoes. Highly recommend! -

Jacqueline was our hair and makeup artist for our elopement. I absolutely loved her! My girls are very sensitive when it comes to getting their hair done and she was so gentle and patient. They didn’t complain once!

Professional and accommodating!
I was very lucky to have Jacqueline agree to do my wedding! I had a small Covid wedding, so I only needed hair and makeup for myself, my sister, and my mom. Most artists refused to take us on because their minimum client count was about 4-5. In addition to accommodating for our small group, Jacqueline arrived on time and finished our looks on time as well. She was very professional and brought a great energy to us. I also didn’t really know what I wanted in terms of hair and makeup style, but Jacqueline really helped me figure out what I wanted and I think she made me feel beautiful on my big day. -

Jacqueline was the one of the best decisions I made for the wedding. She was so helpful and even recommended things I could do to improve my skin from the trial to the wedding. She knew I wasn’t the biggest glam girl and respected everything I suggested. When I had trouble with fake eyelashes in the past because of my makeup she made sure to get extra strong eyelash glue for me. She was so fun to be around on the big day and made it special for me and was able to have casual conversations with everyone in the party. She was very prepared and is extremely talented and I recommend her to everyone and anyone. -

More than just hair and make up with Jackie
Jackie was absolutely great! She was amazing during the preparation, and wedding day itself.
Months leading up to the weddings, we had calls, preps, and styling that she wanted me to think about beforehand. I felt like she had everything down and gave me so many options. I had absolutely nothing to worry about for hair and makeup and as a bride that is so important.
During the day itself, she didn't just do my hair and make up, she created an entire wedding morning preparation experience for me. I got a mini-facial + massage and a whole glam set up (lights, chairs, etc.). It was a perfect way to start my wedding day. Of course, it goes without saying that I absolutely felt beautiful. Loved my hair and make up. -

Jacqueline was amazing throughout the entire process, she FaceTimed me many times beforehand to make sure we got to know each other and get comfortable. I signed a contract with Jacqueline in May. Right away, I noticed the contract was unorganized, had typos and our communication was a little off, but I didn’t read into it. I was honestly just relieved to book someone who’s talented and really seemed to care. We had a hair and makeup trial July 4th. She told me to get to the location at a specific time and I did, but once I got there she was running an hour behind. I let her know this would have been nice to know earlier and that it made me nervous about the actual wedding day. She seemed so adamant about me being there on time and following her directions. All of the sudden she was ready 10 minutes later and made a snarky comment about how sorry she was I had to wait “just ten minutes.” I decided to let the weird vibes go, we continued forward with the trial and everything turned out surprisingly great. I even texted her afterwards letting her know how much I loved it and how thankful I am to be in her hands. Over a month goes by and I hadn’t heard a single word from her after the trial. I thought that was a bit odd, given my wedding is coming up in 6 weeks. So I emailed her to check in and also see if she can accommodate my mom and MIL on the wedding day. An entire week goes by, no reply from her, yet I see her posting on Instagram everyday. So I text her and ask if she’s received my email. Fifteen minutes later, she texts me and goes “just wrote you back! :)” - so I open the email and cannot believe what I’m reading. Supposedly she double booked herself on my date (9/21/24) and “accidentally” booked another bride with the wrong year (9/21/25 instead of 2024), and somehow her and this bride just now noticed this on their contract. For someone who works specifically with brides, you’d think extra attention to the DATE really matters. You’d think both parties might be aware of this discrepancy before months have passed. So since me and this other bride happen to both be getting married in Sonoma on the same date, Jacqueline’s options to me were: either get my hair and makeup done at 6AM for my 4PM wedding (laughable) or cancel the contract/go find someone else. I was so confused how this could even happen especially with a contract in place. I tried calling her 3 separate times to talk over the phone, but she wouldn’t answer and chose to text me only. I asked why I couldn’t have the original 10AM time slot as we planned per our contract, and she said the other bride gets to have that time since she “signed her contract before mine.” The tone of her texts were infuriating - cold, not understanding and straight up rude. The fact that she waited a week to even respond and let me know what was going on is baffling. I let her know there’s absolutely no way I’m doing a 6AM start time, so she immediately Zelle’d my deposit money back and then proceeded to BLOCK my phone number and Instagram! If she didn’t want to work with me she could have told me that up front. It feels like she cares more about chasing money and clout than she does about giving her clients a professional experience. Her complete lack of care and communication screams the exact opposite qualities of everything she claims she/her business is about.
If you decide to book Jacqueline Banuelos for your wedding, you better 1. put in your contract that if the artist last minute cancels or double books herself on your date, she needs to pay YOU double the amount you paid as a deposit. Because otherwise she’s getting away with it without having anything to lose. And 2. have a backup option ready. -
