Touring this wedding venue was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The space itself is stunning, but what truly sets it apart are the owners. Their values, warmth, and genuine passion shine through in everything they do. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and cared for, like more than just another tour on the schedule. They went above and beyond to make the experience feel personal and special, and it honestly exceeded all expectations. The tour was beyond incredible, and it’s clear how much love and intention they pour into this place. I couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough.

We were looking for a venue that was beautiful, affordable, and is going to be us. My fiancé and I went and visited this venue today and were astonished by how beautiful and how nice the people are. The venue had something for everyone and we can make it ours. We are planning to book this beautiful place for 2027 and are over the moon!!!

Jacobs Berry Farm is a must see with its beautiful rustic and elegant setting located in the Carson Valley just "down the hill" from Lake Tahoe. The entire staff was very welcoming and professional. The owners make you feel like family. I would recommend this venue for a wedding or any other special event you may have!

Denise, the wedding coordinator, is an absolute gift. Her heart, dedication, and experience shine through in every interaction. She went above and beyond time and time again, anticipating needs before we even knew we had them. Denise made us feel supported, heard, and completely at ease — like we had a trusted friend walking alongside us throughout the entire journey.

Michelle and Chad, the owners, are just as wonderful. They are incredibly kind, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making each couple’s day unforgettable. You can feel the love and care they’ve poured into this property, and they treat everyone who steps onto the farm like part of their extended family.

My husband and I were guests at a wedding. The venue was beautiful, food and drinks were plentiful and delicious and the staff at the Berry Farm were professional and courteous. Great experience, lovely atmosphere and impeccable service.

I own a multi-op DJ company and have worked at Jacobs Berry Farm for years. The new owners have really vamped up this property. It's a photographer's dream too with all the beautiful trees. They opened up the barn and it is stunning. What a gorgeous venue! If you are a barn type person, don't hesitate to look at this property.

Jacobs Berry Farm is the perfect location for a wedding ceremony and reception! It is a stunningly beautiful venue that is both grand and intimate at the same time. The property is kept immaculate and offers unique perks that you might not find elsewhere: Imagine exchanging vows on the shaded lawn surrounded by a white picket-fence, fruit trees and summer blooms. The restored barn is the perfect setting for your reception for your guests to dance the night away! The owners, Chad & Michelle and their lovely staff do a great job of helping to ensure everything runs smoothly. As a mobile-dessert vendor, I can't say enough about how great this team is to work with; I highly recommend booking with them!

Jacobs Berry Farm is nestled in Garnerville, a ranch town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Near Lake Tahoe. I have toured the property as an Event Planner & Rental company and thought it was so unique. The property offers guest experiences you can't get from an ordinary venue. If you are looking for a rustic venue with beautiful views and one of a kind guest experiences this is a great place for you.

At first everything was great. Staff seemed very nice, communicative and helpful. They let us pick berries at no charge which was a fun experience! We had our day booked almost a year and a half in advance and had been making our payments to pay it off. However, roughly a month before the big day, they sent a receipt via email saying we still owed roughly the full price of the venue. This was a shock so I reached out to them where they explained they had no proof of us paying $8,000 out of the total cost. We had to go back through all our bank statements and payment history to provide proof that we paid it. Which as a bride who is already stressed with planning a wedding, this was an absolute nightmare. They did discount the venue because of the inconvenience so I can appreciate that effort to make it right but I do still find this highly unprofessional.

We agreed to use their wedding coordinator. To my understanding, based on the contract, she was supposed to be there all day, the day before the wedding for set up and the entire day of the wedding. The day before, we were finished with setup about an hour prior to the planned rehearsal dinner time so we started practicing how the bridal party would walk out, etc. The coordinator showed up around the time we had originally planned which I feel bad for not messaging her to say we’re were done early but my brain was going 100% miles a minute trying to make sure everything was ready. The coordinator completely changed the groom and my idea. Her tone when addressing the bridal party came off as rude and demanding. My officiant was helping with the rehearsal and the coordinator was especially disrespectful to her.

Then we make it to the day of. We paid to get ready in the main house the day of, however, I feel if you paid to get ready in the house then the venue staff shouldn’t be also using the house. Venue staff was making lunch or coffee while my bridal party was trying to get ready and eat before the festivities began. I found this off putting and almost like the venue was hovering over us the whole time. The coordinator was no where to be seen until about an hour before we were supposed to walk the isle. She continued to rush the groom and groomsman (whom were all ready to go) and had me, in my wedding dress, shuffle in a huddle of my bridal party to a separate house/location while my guests were arriving, which I absolutely hated. My husband and I got married, said our vows, etc. which was the absolute best and went off flawlessly.

Fast forward to the reception, the venue owners ate our food before our guests were even fed. We had pregnant attendees and family and friends who had to wait longer due to them getting food first and had been sitting in the heat and starving! This was completely unprofessional and rude.

They had us move all personal/getting ready items to a separate house, which is fine. However, the entire night they continued to lock us out of this house. We had to hunt down the owners to unlock it so we could access our items. This was incredibly annoying especially when it’s your own wedding and your husband can’t even access his clothing items or belongings to freshen up.

We had also paid for the package to where we would be “driven to a separate destination to take photos of just my husband and I.” However, the coordinator was no where to be found by the time we were supposed to do this. So we did not get our photos. In fact, she was no where to be found for majority of the reception after the groom and I were fed. Which I do appreciate them grabbing us food and drinks as we were ravenous by this point. My photographer and DJ had to ensure we were sticking to our timelines instead, which was not their job to do but I appreciate them stepping up.

We were told we had the venue until 10pm and then an hour after to clean up. They kicked our bartender out almost an hour before her planned time to leave and she had told us later, they were very rude when they had kicked her out. They started kicking our guests at 9pm and having everyone start to clean up the venue. I was very upset with this as this venue is not cheap. When you pay for the insurances, the time, the photos, the entire experience and sign a contract, you expect to have the full time that you paid for.

There were a few other smaller things not listed but I covered the ones that were the biggest issues to my husband and I. Overall, the venue is gorgeous but the owners and staff are not great and really put a damper on the experience. At the end of the day, I got to marry my best friend so that is what matters!
