Julyea was incredible

Jackie and Julyea were such a pleasure to work with. Jackie was very professional and organized in setting things up and made it all very stress free and easy. Julyea was amazing to work with day of. She was so great at my trial really listening to me and on the day of gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. She was ‘‘tis way with each bridesmaid too making everyone look unique and align them feel beautiful! She also did a great job with my 2 year old flower girl! Highly recommend.

Jackie and her team did a beautiful job! She was very professional and made myself and my 8 bridesmaids look stunning on my special day! The trial was perfect and she was successful with fitting all of my bridesmaids and flower girls in with enough time! I highly recommend her and her partner for makeup! Absolutely beautiful!

Julyea at Jackie's Hair Design saved me from a blonde brassy disaster before my bridal shower and wedding. My hair had been totally over processed by my long time stylist two weeks prior to this photo and it had to be corrected before all of my upcoming wedding events. NO! Julyea totally transformed my hair with a cut and beautiful lowlights.

Julyea is an absolute professional and couldn't be more knowledgeable about the products and techniques she uses. She guided me towards some amazing and affordable products for sale at their salon that have instantly changed the way my super dry/damaged hair looks and feels on a daily basis (Velveteen Dream Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner; Amika Oil Treatment; PHYTOKÉRATINE Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray).

The salon is very clean and the stylists are all happy. The location is also perfect (direclty off Rowe Blvd- with free parking), which is super convenient for me coming from Baltimore. If you can't tell, I highly recommend this Jackie's Hair Design!

I am also getting monthly facials here in preparation for my wedding :)

Jackie's design absolutely met my expectations. Jackie is SO accommodating and made my vision and hair inspirations a reality. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, as every bride should and because of Jackie's talents and team that feeling was easily achieved. The makeup artist Christina did a high quality job and was so personal throughout the experience. We requested the team travel to Maria's which was super convenient. I loved my experience with Jackie's design and because of that will be looking into their other services in the future.

Working with Jackie and her team was wonderful! She was professional and flexible throughout our 8 months of planning. My family loved their hair and makeup (and the pictures were gorgeous!). The team did a great job doing hair and make-up for individuals ranging from thirteen to seventy years old!

I had a very small wedding party and was looking for hair and make-up for just me and my sister as MOH. With all of the wedding planning I didn't even think about booking hair and make-up until 3 months before my wedding. Most vendors I reached out to only work with larger parties but Jackie had no problem with it just being the two of us. Day of the wedding my mom and nieces decided to have hair and make-up done as well. Jackie did a phenomenal job for all of us and never seemed stressed about taking on these extra services. She had great suggestions when we were indecisive and we all looked stunning. Our hair and make-up held up the entire day - no problem. And she is priced very reasonably. I would highly recommend her!

Jackie was very professional and was able to do my hair and makeup perfectly without much direction from me - I didn't really know what I wanted until we did the test-run. I didn't look too made up, but the make-up that was there stayed put all day (a hot July day at that!) Highly recommend!

A bride's hair and makeup is a pretty critical aspect, and I always felt as though I was in good hands with the team from Jackie's Design. I have to admit that I was a bit indecisive on my up-do and Renay couldn't have been more accommodating so that my day of hair was perfect! My makeup artist Karah was such a hit that two bridesmaids who had originally wanted to do their own makeup ended up begging her to do there's too. I don't wear a lot of makeup and have typically not loved when I get my makeup done, but I absolutely love my makeup on my wedding day.

Jackie was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for hair and makeup.

She did hair for eight ladies- bride, mother of bride, and six bridesmaids- and she brought an associate who did all the makeup. We all looked stunning, and she accommodated everyone's style. Some of the ladies came with pictures of what they wanted, and others had zero idea and gave her freedom to choose. Both options turned out beautiful! Most of the ladies were also apprehensive about the makeup. None of them had done airbrushed makeup before, and they were all worried they'd look too made-up. Jackie reassured them well, and they were all so happy with how the makeup turned out. My mother almost backed out of makeup last minute, then couldn't stop raving about how great she looked.

I did a trial with her early in order to make sure everything would turn out great. She reminded me that the trial was important not just to make sure you look gorgeous (because you will!) but also to make sure you're not allergic to any of the makeups she uses, or the false lashes, etc. The trial was at her house, and she was so sweet about accommodating me. I was from out of town, so she moved her whole schedule around to get my trial in on the one day I was in town before the wedding.

She continued to be accommodating even up to the day of the wedding. We changed locations for getting ready last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances, but she was great at flexing and being able to get us all ready anywhere. She was also great about timing- she told us a timeline, showed up 30 minutes early to get her stuff ready, and stuck to the timeline perfectly.

I highly recommend Jackie- she will take so much stress off you on the morning of your wedding!

Jackie's designs was one of the best choices I made for my wedding day! Jackie did an amazing job with my hair getting the exact style I saw in a picture. My makeup was perfect allowing me to look enhanced for my wedding but still myself. I received a lot of compliments and questions of who did my hair and makeup. I would highly recommend Jackie and her team for you wedding. Her team is personable and reliable making getting ready even more enjoyable on your wedding day.

Jackie and her assistant were wonderful! A rare thing -my self and my bridesmaids ALL loved our hair and makeup! I actually started going to Jackie as my regular hairdresser as well after the wedding.

Jackie was absolutely FANTASTIC. She did my hair and make up for my wedding as well as my bridesmaids and it was "Over the Top". The Airbrush make up was perfect and my "up-do" was beautiful. We had so much fun with Jackie and and her assistant. Her pricing was very competitive with what other people charge. I highly recommend her services.

Jackie was absolutely wonderful! She is extremely flexible and so easy to work with! On our wedding day, she had 9 up dos to do and she kept calm and completed every single one of them with perfection and right on time. Her calmness really helped the morning of our wedding run smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Jackie and her services to my friends that are getting married. Such an amazing experience with Jackie's Design!! From the first meeting when I had my hair trial, right up to my big day, Jackie and her staff could not have been more wonderful. Although Jackie did not do my wedding hair, she was nevertheless such a huge part of my wedding. She stayed for every trial, helped the other stylists understand my vision, and answered all of my crazy bride late night questions promptly and professionally. I loved Jackie so much I also went to her for my pre-wedding highlights (which were also perfect:-)
Lori was the hair stylist who did the hair for both myself (the bride), the bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride. I personally wanted a vintage, romantic loose updo for the wedding, and Lori completely understood and carried out my vision. My hair was even better than I could have ever imagined!! Jackie is awesome! She did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as my mom and bridesmaids. My hair & makeup lasted all night! Airbrush makeup is a MUST!!! Jackie will travel to you which is a huge plus, it made the morning of my wedding less stressful.

Jackie is very responsive and professional. She really takes pride in her work and makes sure that the bride is completely happy. She is super talented! I could not have been more satisfied with her services and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I found Jackie after going through many over-priced and unavailable make-up artists. Immediately I knew I wanted Jackie to do my make-up for my wedding. She was extremely kind, informative, and responsive. I think it was fate since she lives just down the road from my wedding venue! As soon as I met Jackie for my make-up trial I felt comfortable and confident that she would make me beautiful and she did. The trial was extremely relaxing and Jackie was extremely nice! The day of my wedding was crazy, but Jackie was there on time and ready to work. My make-up looked even better than my trial. She made me feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. She made me look natural, but also sexy. She truly is a make-up ARTIST. She did a bridesmaids hair (which was stunning!), a bridesmaids make-up (which was perfect!) and my moms make-up (which made her feel beautiful and special as well!). She even stayed during my bridesmaids pictures before the ceremony and touched me up before I left for the church. I could not have asked for a better make-up artist and I am so glad I chose Jackie. Jackie is awesome! She was always responsive to my emails, which is super important when you are planning your east coast wedding from the west coast. She was flexible with scheduling my hair and makeup trial. She went above and beyond on the day of our wedding to make sure I loved my hair and makeup. She was also attentive to my bridal party and their requests. If I ever get the chance for professional hair and makeup again, I will definitely want to use Jackie!

Jackie did a wonderful job at my wedding in September. She did my hair along with my sisters and mothers, each our own unique style. I had a trial with her about 6 weeks before the wedding. We were able to make a few adjustments to what I wanted to make it look even better. She also had wonderful suggestions for my sister and mom who weren't really sure what they wanted. Jackie was very responsive via email and phone. A few of my friends wanted their makeup done as well and they ended up hiring Jackie too. They were very pleased with her work and looked absolutely beautiful!

Jackie and her team went above and beyond for me and my bridal party. All eight of my bridesmaids, my Mom, and I got our hair and make up done by Jackie and her team. My mom, sister, one of my bridesmaids, and I also got fantastic spray tans from Jackie before the wedding.

I have nothing but great things to say -- she was the best vendor that I worked with during the entire wedding process.

You MUST book Jackie and Christina together! Although it isn't required to do so, having them both work on you and your bridal party is without a doubt, exceptional! Jackie and Christina strive for perfection and are very patient with all types of hair/makeup requests! You will NOT be disappointed with their services nor their presence on your wedding day!

Jackie did my and bridesmaids' as well as my mom's hair for my wedding. She was very flexible and friendly from the first moment I met her for my hair trial. She was very receptive to the pictures I showed her of what I wanted and worked through making muliple adjustments to my hair until it was exactly what I was looking for! I must also say that I have very long straight hair which is not always easy to work with as it doesn't hold easily. However, with Jackie's work, my hair held perfectly in place for the entire day!! On the actual wedding day Jackie easily re-created the hair design that we had come up with during the trial. It was so stress-free and I am so grateful to her for that. My bridesmaids and mom were also all very happy with their hair and found Jackie very friendly and fun to work with. Jackie is a complete professional who is not only great at what she does, but also genuinely cares about about making her brides feel beautiful and comfortable on their special day. I would highly recommend her for any occasion, especially your big day!

Oh my Stars!!!!Mrs. Nunez is an amazing hair dresser!!! And if your in need of an exquisite spray tan Mrs Nunez is your girl!!!! Mrs Jackie Nunez was hired by me ( Emerald Sirico, the bride) for styling my maid of honors hair, the mother of the groom hair, and of course styling the main person of the wedding`s hair the beautiful bride :) Also three days before my big wedding I went to Jackie salon, and there she gave me the most amazing spray tan I have ever had!!! And I am a redhead so I get spray tanned all the time, and it is really hard to find an individual that is good, accurate and also very patient, to make sure that before their client leaves, and after applying the spray tan, that they take the appropriate time to insure that the spray tan was completely dry before they let their client leave. And on the day that I came and meet Mrs. Jackie at her salon for my spray tan it was raining like cats and dogs, so i was so worried that it would wash away before i could make it to my wedding day with it. but she did an amazing job and for a really good price!!! one of my quotes that i got from another salon was 900.00!!! ridiculous !!! Jackie quoted me under 100.00 for each person and that was it no hourly rate or paid lunch she didn't even need to bring an assistant, she handled everything on her own and did an amazing job!!!! i will so recommend her to everyone!!!

Jackie's Design did an awesome job for my big day! She was organized and ready to start the moment they walked in our hotel room. They were able to get all of my girls hair and makeup finished in plenty of time! My makeup stayed flawless and my hair (and extensions) stayed perfect all night! Thank you Jackie...you're the best!

I would be doing a great disservice to all future brides if I did not write a review of how wonderful Jackie was for my big day. To begin, I was trying to book Jackie for May 3rd, but she was not available. Instead of leaving it at that, Jackie took the time to not only refer me to someone else, but also book the appointments for me. Who else do you know would take their time and energy to give business to someone else even though they weren't going to benefit from it themselves? I ended up having to move my wedding back due to a family medical illness and when I rescheduled, Jackie had no hesitation in allowing me to book her with less than a month notice. She did my tan/hair/make up and I was shocked at the outcome. The tan was so perfect and so natural-and I am a red head so that is almost an impossible task. The hair and make up was exactly what I asked for, even though I didn't do a trial-I didn't need one with Jackie. She listened to what I wanted and delivered something better than I ever could have imagined myself. She was very responsive to all my emails and very flexible with everything I requested. She was prompt and showed up on time and finished exactly as she said she would. I cannot sing her praises enough-she made my big day care free and made me look my very best. She is amazing and I would recommend her again and again to everyone that asks. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jackie!!!

Jackie did my spray tan, hair, and several of my bridesmaids hair for my wedding. She was able to coordinate my entire bridal party's hair and makeup. All eight bridesmaids loved the experience.

Jackie is professional, kind, and goes above and beyond for her customers (even helping me coordinate catering at the salon). I highly recommend her for any wedding party!

Jackie is absolutely fabulous! She creates a spray tan to fit your wants but, one that looks completely natural. I recommend her for special events or for an everyday spray tan! She's wonderful!

I actually knew Jackie from my hometown of Charlotte and she had done my sister's hair for years, and both of us for my sister's wedding in 2009. I was lucky when I realized she was in the DMV area for my own wedding in September 2013 and booked a trial. I have incredibly thick, wavy/curly hair that can be a bear to work with but wanted it to show on the wedding day and still be out of my way-- not the easiest request! She gave me multiple styles to choose from during our spring trial and when I of course changed my mind day of, she gave me the best style of all. I loved my hair and felt beautiful and glamorous and have received so many compliments. Jackie and her assistant did a great job on the bridal party and were easygoing and fun to have around on the day of the wedding. She even did (and redid) my adorable niece's hair for being a flower girl. I highly recommend Jackie for your big day!

Jackie was wonderful! She even made herself available on a Sunday initially just for me. When my mom and sister-in-law asked to get hair and make-up too, Jackie added them - no problem. She did my hair and make-up, make-up for my sister-in-law and hair for my mom. Everyone looked amazing.

Jackie was absolutely amazing!! I had her do my hair and makeup for my bridal party. Everyone looked fabulous. My hair and makeup lasted all day and night. Jackie was so much fun and helpful, she really pampered us. The trial was easy, and Jackie was accommodating in doing whatever I wanted. She was on time and worked very hard to have us ready on time. I was so Happy to have found Jackie to do my bridesmaids and my hair on my big day! she was very accommodating. She came on site and was prepare to make us beautiful. Jackie had been my stylist for 13+ years while in Charlotte. She did a fabulous updo for my wedding day as well as styling my bridesmaides. She made me look so elegant and feminine as I never wear my hair up. My bridesmaides were absolutely beautiful with partial updo's. My day was made so very special by Jackie and I to this day look at my wedding photo's and realize....I could never have looked as beautiful as I did without her. She is a special girl, a true professional and very good at what she does.

Absolutely the best stylist!! She made my day that much better! Jackie knew exactly what I wanted, even if I could not explain it myself. She made me feel beautiful, prepared, and absolutely flawless. Not to mention very punctual, professional and extremely patient...especially with all the chaos. She had a bag of tricks that saved the day too...as we all know surprises always pop up :)

It just doesn't get any better. Jackie has done my hair for years...years and years. Even when I was living on the west coast, when I came home to visit, I made sure to make time to see Jackie to get my hair done. She's progressive and stylish. She listens to clients and turns out some amazing hair! I have long, thick, curly hair and Jackie can do anything that I ask - color, cut, highlight....anything! Jackie was amazing to work with! At my trial, I was immediately impressed with the way she listened to what I was asking for, her execution of my requests and her professionalism. On the day of my wedding Jackie did a fabulous job on my hair and my 5 bridesmaids. Not only did everyone look amazing; she was very efficient (finishing everyone’s hair by noon) and accommodating (my sister had trouble deciding on a style, so Jackie worked with her to modify and change her style until my sister was happy). Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and would not hesitate to recommend Jackie to any of my friends or family.

Jackie is one of the most talented professionals in her field. I hired Jackie to do my makeup for my wedding about seven weeks ago. From the moment we had our first conversation to the day of the wedding she was on top of everything. She asked all the questions I hadn't even thought of and provided tons of information on what would photograph well in the ceremony and reception spaces. She was on time, reasonably priced, and most importantly she made me look like an even better version of myself. All of our pictures were so beautiful.

Jackie did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup for my big day! My updo looked both modern and classic at the same time and complemented my dress well. Jackie was an amazing addition to our wedding day. We had a wedding by the beach near Pawleys Island and she joined us for the day to transform our hair and make-up. I had many bridesmaids and family members who she prepared. Everyone commented on how gorgeous the wedding party looked. Most importantly, Jackie ensured our styles were modern, simple and trendy...steering WAY clear of the 'prom tendrils' look that was not my style. Personally, I have never found someone who could do such a great job with my make-up and she worked together with me to come up with the different hair options. I was extremely pleased with the results and still cherish the pictures years later. Also, Jackie is reliable, low drama but tons of fun. She kept our day moving smoothly, despite the volume of preparation. I would highly recommend Jackie to any potential brides out there. I feel lucky to have had her at our wedding!

Jackie and her two assistants did the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I at my wedding two weeks ago, and she did a wonderful job! I have been in several weddings where the bride looks amazing but the bridesmaids hair/makeup was lacking - I thought that Jackie and her team did an amazing job for everyone, including myself. I found Jackies Design online and am so happy to have read the reviews and booked her company for my wedding. Jackie was unable to work my wedding, but she had a different make-up (Jenny) and hair stylist (Renay) who were free so I booked a trial with her company. I loved my trial but wanted to tweak a few things for the day of. Jackie assured me that the tweaks would not be a problem, but I am so picky I have to admit I was a little nervous. A few months passed by and I found a few more things I wanted to change for my wedding hair and make-up look. On the day of, both Jenny and Renay listened to me and completed my look exactly as I had pictured in my mind and had explained to them. I am extremely controlling and picky and the fact that I couldn't find ANYTHING I didn't like about my hair and make-up is just amazing! I look back at my pictures and still love their work. They also listened to my bridesmaids and mom and did a great job with their hair a make-up. I have to give a special shout out to Jenny here, because sometimes wedding day make-up could be a little TOO much and Jenny did such a tasteful and elegant job. Jackie's prices are so reasonable for the quality of work, I am so happy I was able to have her team complete my wedding day look!

Jackie and Renee were a good team to work with. While I was unsure of exactly what I wanted with my hair, Jackie helped me research ideas and was so flexible. On the day of my wedding, Renee did a great job with not only my hair, but also with all of those in my wedding party. She was easy to talk to, flexible with making changes, kind to work with, and she did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Everyone looked amazing!

Jackie set me up with Biki for hair and makeup. Day-of, Jackie came to help Biki with all the ladies' hair (myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms) and together they did an amazing job! Everyone was able to bring a photo of the look they wanted and Jackie and Biki were able to replicate each style! They also did a great job of applying my hair extensions, our guests couldn't even tell that I was wearing them! All this and my makeup done by Biki stayed put all day and night. I was very happy working with them and would do it again!

One of my absolute favorite parts of my wedding was the hair/makeup that Jackie and her team provided! I was looking for a style that really felt like "me" while still looking special enough for my big day. She nailed it! Though my hair was mostly down, the majority of my bridesmaids got gorgeous updos that all looked absolutely incredible and really spoke to their style. The whole bridal party received so many compliments! We got our hair and makeup done starting at 10 AM and it completely lasted until my 5 PM wedding and late into the night. I highly recommend Jackie's Design. :)

Jackie was wonderful! I absolutely loved my hair on the day of my wedding. I did a trial which was helpful. The price was a little high but definitely worth it for the bride. Most of my bridesmaids did their own hair because of the price and it turned out fine. Jackie was very skilled in doing my hair the way I envisioned it and even tried a few different options.

I would highly recommend her for wedding hair!

I was very particular about my hair and makeup for my wedding and had a hard time finding someone in Ocean City, MD. I did not want the "prom" hair and makeup. I met Jackie at an Annapolis bridal show and read such amazing reviews online. So even though she was in Annapolis I knew I had to get Jackie to do my hair and makeup. My trial went smoothly and made me feel even more confident in choosing Jackie. She just got exactly the look I wanted to go for. Jackie was always very responsive and on time. Jackie is the best hairdresser I've ever had in my life. She made me feel very comfortable and relax on my special day. She was flexible in her traveling to my house and made sure my hair & make-up got touched up after my pictures were taken. Got done but terrible experience

We used them for my daughters wedding. Jackie should have set up double the # of stylists based on the size of our group (12 hair/11 makeup). We were very late getting done (grandmother of the bride didn’t get finished until a half hour prior to the wedding) . Everyone looked good but not the kind of experience you want for your wedding day. Held up the photographer bc everyone wasn’t ready and one of the girls who was a reader for the ceremony wasn’t able to be in the pre-ceremony pictures. We only had one stylist and one make-up person and the makeup artist was extremely overwhelmed. Jackie was terrible about returning calls with questions and setting up consultations prior to the wedding. I do not recommend using Jackie’s design for your wedding.

Jackie's professionalism throughout the whole planning process was less than desirable.

The girls that came and did our hair and makeup were great and they made all the women happy/ beautiful! I by no means want to take away from their work. However, Jackie's communication was extremly poor throughout the time leading up to my wedding. Specifically, I requested to have another bridal trial because I postponed my wedding a whole year and my hair grew
11 inches. I was unable to get a hold of Jackie or anyone in her shop for months after numerous calls to the receptionist and emails. It was not until I threatened to take my business elsewhere that she finally responded with very limited available on when she could get me in. My mom tried several times to talk to her when she went into her shop to deliver payment for our contract and she was always too busy to come out and even say hello to my mother who was handing her several thousand dollars.

She made no attempt to try to plan the logistics of our big day out with me or my mother and tried to tell us that the girls could not all be there together but instead had to make appointments one at a time. Part of someone's big day is having their best girlfriends and family all together while getting ready. But nonetheless, I tried to comply by scheduling each of my girls in 45 minutes increments. These appointments all fell by the wayside on the day of when we all realized just how disorganized everything was. The makeup girl fell waaaay behind and we all ended up piled in there together waiting
for hours to have everyone done. I honestly did not think she would get through everyone and she had to call the help of the hair artist to assist in doing makeup. Things were so disorganized that we were not ready by the time the photographer came at our pre-discussed time. I could not get photos of all my girls in robes because they did not all have their makeup done. Furthermore, my two 85 year-old grandmothers (who were included in our head-count ahead of time) almost missed my wedding because they were last to have makeup. Both of them had to call on help to assist them to get dressed in our bridal cottage with a dozen other women and no privacy (these grandmothers both have physical limitations). While, they still made the wedding and looked beautiful, it was very stressful and not exactly how I wanted my two lovely Grandmothers to have to get ready for my big day. Jackie later agreed that she should have had double the help that day for our party. And for the amount of money my mother paid her, I think it is
safe to say we deserved better and more of Jackie's attention to plan for this. It was not like we surprised her with additional people...we told her the exact number of people months in advance. So why couldn't Jackie have provided adequate staffing? We all looked beautiful but the disoraganization caused added stress to my big day that I did not need or want. I was flustered all day
and afraid not everyone would make it. For these reasons, I am giving Jackie Nunez's business 3 stars.
