JR Floral Design is the preferred vendor at Liberty House, and after working with them, it’s easy to see why. From the moment we met Jimmy and his team, we couldn’t wait to get started. Jimmy knows the Liberty House venue inside and out and was able to suggest floral arrangements that truly brought our vision to life.
One of the things we appreciated most was Jimmy’s honesty—he genuinely helped us save money by pointing out where certain florals were unnecessary, which made us trust him even more. Before officially booking, you get to visit their office and walk through floral designs and arrangements in person. They even create your actual bouquet so you can see exactly how it will look, which is such a unique, fun, and reassuring experience.
Throughout the eight months leading up to our wedding, I came to Jimmy and Ashley with countless new ideas, and he and his team were always incredibly responsive and happy to adjust or add to our original plan. We also had JR Floral Design do the ceiling installation at Liberty House, and they worked within our budget to create the most stunning display of disco balls and baby’s breath spheres—it completely transformed the space.
On the day of our wedding, it was about 10 degrees, and knowing we’d be taking photos outside, Jimmy proactively let us know the florals could freeze. With less than 24 hours’ notice, they added an additional bouquet and boutonniere specifically for photos on top of our originals. That level of care and attention meant everything to us.
I spoke with many florists before choosing JR Floral Design, and Jimmy and his team truly stood out for having the best pricing, incredible quality, and the most creative ideas. I am completely obsessed with their work and couldn’t have been happier with our decision. I would recommend them a thousand times over! -

Jimmy and entire team (shout out to Ashley!) were exactly what I was looking for for my wedding -- so down-to-earth, willing to listen to my vision and revisions, helpful in making suggestions on what might hold up best for a summer wedding (Jimmy knows his flowers!!) and very honest pricing. JR was the first place I went and signed same day; I just knew I was in good and experienced hands. Truly, thank you! -

JR Floral made my vision come true! We were blown away by their incredible ceiling installation at Liberty House. JR Floral perfected the hundreds of roses hanging from the ceiling and it was beyond my wildest dreams-- lush, vibrant & perfect for November wedding. It was the focal point of our ballroom. JR Floral's attention to detail & quality of flowers are exceptional. -

My sister used J & R Floral back in 2019 and had a great experience, so it was no question I would use them as well. We created both my bouquet and centerpiece as a mock-up in our first in-person meeting so that we could take photos of what it would look like the day-of the event. I am beyond thrilled with the way my bouquets came out, the centerpieces as well as my arch and ceiling florals. I highly recommend!!! -

Wedding Flowers
Jimmy and his team at JR Floral were so great to work with for our wedding at Liberty House. We had an initial consultation way in the beginning of our planning process, but then as the year went on, I added and removed things and they were always very prompt in updating my quote. They also worked on the wedding day to deliver flowers to 3 different locations (church, hotel, venue), and it went without a hitch. Jimmy also worked with me on pricing for his beautiful ceiling decorations at the LH, which I was so grateful for, and it looked absolutely stunning. He is also very reasonably priced considering the cost of flowers and location in NJ, and I couldn’t have been happier with all of our floral arrangements that day. -

Love JR Floral!
Jimmy and team are true professionals and by far my favorite vendor of all the ones I hired! From the first meeting, Jimmy's number one priority is to fulfill your vision and stay within your budget - he did just that for us and did it beautifully!! We had hired him to do some florals on the lighting fixtures at our venue, and when the venue unexpectedly changed the fixtures two weeks prior to our wedding, he was incredibly communicative, sending me photos of new options and ways to make it work. In the end, both our personals and the venue were truly stunning and we got so many compliments from our guests. My bouquet was definitely my favorite, I wish I could keep it forever. On top of it all, Jimmy and his team were awesome people to talk to and work with, I felt so at ease with them throughout the whole process. I highly recommend JR Floral to any bride in the NJ/NY area!! -

When I was touring my venue, JR was setting up for a wedding that night. Everything they were doing looked amazing so I got a business card from someone setting up. We went to their warehouse in West New York for a consultation and Jimmy walked through every detail with us. He never tried to upsell us or get us to add on things that we really didn't need. His team made sample arrangements for us to see while we were there and took pictures of everything so they could recreate it that day. Communication was always seamless. Jimmy and his team respond to emails quickly and they were very flexible with changing some of the flowers we originally picked and adding things on after we signed our contract. The flowers they provided for us were absolutely beautiful and I would definitely recommend them. Everything was exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price! -

Amazing! Book with JR Floral!
The ABSOLUTE BEST! JR Floral should be your go-to florist for you wedding! We met with Jimmy and his team and immediately felt connected to them as the right vendor for our special day. Their prices are fair, they work with any budget and really take a personal interest in making sure your arrangements and your vision come to life on that day. We had an early start to our wedding (7am pictures, 11am ceremony time). Jimmy was right there with my bouquet and that of my bridal party right on time. You can see from the pictures, everything is high-quality, fresh and top-notch! Jimmy and his team are just one-of a-kind. Responsive, kind and fun! Highly recommend them for any event. Everyone loved our ceremony arch, centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres and ceiling draping! So perfect. Everything looked so beautiful in the pictures as well. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! -

Amazing Florist!
We do not know how to thank JR Floral Designs for the AMAZING job they did with the flowers for our wedding at Liberty House in Jersey City. Although the weather was not cooperating, Jimmy kept calm and guided us from a planned outside garden ceremony to a magical inside ceremony with ease! Our guests are still raving about the magnificent floral arch and stage, table centerpieces, and of course, the raining rose’s floral arrangement on the chandelier. My bridal bouquet and bridesmaid’s flowers were perfection. I cannot recommend them highly enough! -

Stunning Flowers!
I have nothing but good things to say of Jimmy and his team! From the start to the end they were fantastic. Most other places you don’t get to see your ideas come to life until the end but with JR florals they whip up some samples right at your consultation. They are flexible and definitely affordable! On the day of all our flowers were on time and gorgeous! Highly recommend! -

One of the biggest decisions to make for your wedding is choosing your florist, and one of the BEST decisions we could have ever made was working with Jimmy and his team at JR Floral Designs.
The moment my husband and I met Jimmy we felt welcomed and immediately connected. As a gay couple, you never know how you’ll be received from vendors and Jimmy was incredibly friendly and accepting. We knew we were in good hands and JR Floral Designs would be the perfect florist and lighting team for our wedding day.
Jimmy even hand delivered our flowers to our hotel rooms on the day of the wedding and updated us that everything was all set at our venue, ensuring that everything was ready to go and instilled so much confidence.
The flowers were exactly what we discussed and beyond. The overhead lighting at our venue at The Liberty House was also beautiful and exactly what we wanted.
We can not recommend Jimmy and JR Floral Designs enough, they are the best of the best.

Great Wedding Florist!
With very little guidance JR was able to provide exactly the "right look" for our wedding and was willing to work with our budget. The decorations - arch, tables, cake, wedding sign, bouquets and boutonnières - were so beautiful! -

I found JR Floral through my venue, Liberty House. I had a 2 hour meeting with them in which they came up with sample floral arrangements based on my ideas, and they worked with me to come up with options that were still beautiful but in my budget. They also gave me ideas on how to repurpose the bouquets etc to maximize my purchases and I really appreciated that. I always felt like they were working with my needs. And the end result was beautiful! They are a genuine family-owned business and I highly recommend them. -

The absolute dreamiest
Three words: BOOK. WITH. JIMMY. Seriously, just do yourself a favor and work with this wonderful company for your wedding flowers. I was married at the Liberty House in Jersey City on 12/18, and my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets, the guys boutonnieres, precious flower girl crowns (they were the sweetest - made of baby's breath with satin bows), stunning cedar chandelier that was such a focal point of the reception and of course the perfect sparkling edison lights were everything I ever dreamed they would be since we first met two years ago. Jimmy and his team are the easiest to work with - they are so responsive, and answered every email and phone call I directed to them (and there were MANY after pushing our wedding a full year due to COVID.) You will not be disappointed - they are incredible.

Hiring JR Floral Designs was one of the best decisions we made! Jimmy is unbelievably talented at what he does and he is also just the best! He was so honest and transparent from the start (telling us what we didn't need/how to save some money). There were no hidden fees or surprises along the way--just beautiful flower arrangements! When we had to change our wedding due to COVID, Jimmy made sure it was not a problem and had us come back in to re-create a fall theme (since our original wedding was a winter wedding). On the day of the wedding, Jimmy showed up EARLY to drop off the personals himself before going to the venue to get the room ready. There was absolutely nothing missing in the decor--from the aisle to the cocktail hour to our table arrangements, it was just gorgeous! All of our guests were so impressed with the quality and variety of the flowers. We are still reliving the day and can't thank JR Florals enough for creating the beauty in that room :) -

Jimmy and his team did an amazing job on my flowers! They were very flexible before the wedding with my last minute changes and even sent me new bouquet pictures to evaluate and confirm since I couldn’t go back in in person. They are extremely responsive over email as well. For the day of, they were willing to be flexible given a looming rain schedule and created a gorgeous chuppah that withstood many rains and made it through to when my ceremony finally happened. All of mt bouquet, boutonnières, etc. turned out so beautifully and they were willing to last minute change things around with mother corsages too. Definitely recommend! -

Simply the best!
Jimmy and JR Florals are phenomenal. They were so wonderful and flexibly to work with. Jimmy is unbelievable and cares so much that the he makes the brides happy.
My wedding was so beautiful- I literally gasped when I saw my Chuppah. He brought my vision to life. I also had dreams to make a flower elephant and Jimmy made this happen.
Ashley called me multiple times to confirm detail and make sure everything was perfect.
Working with them was an absolute dream. -

If you’re looking to not spend a fortune and still have amazing floral arrangements for your wedding then you should definitely hire JR Floral. At our first meeting, Jimmy and his team helped me set a budget and worked to stay within that amount. They listened to every suggestion I had and made tweaks to make sure I was within budget. They strive to only use flowers that are within season to keep costs down and will be honest with you about what is expensive and what is doable. Everything turned out AMAZING! They also provided us with fairy lightening and a drape for our ceremony/reception dance floor area for a VERY reasonable price. The vendor at our venue quoted us 6 times what JR floral was able to do it for! Hire them! You won’t be disappointed and your budget will thank you! Thanks for everything JR Floral! -

Jimmy and his team created a WOW factor with each of the floral designs request the Archway, Table Center pieces, Bridal Bouquet and Bridesmaids. From the initial meeting Jimmy listened to what my vision was and made it reality with a can do attitude never saying no to the numerous requests.

Richard Sent on 10/04/2017So, to start off I want to say that we were not having any flowers at our wedding so hadn’t even thought about a florist until our venue planner mentioned about boutonnieres. She recommended Jimmy and on short notice he had no problem, we actually ended up getting boutonnieres, a centerpiece for the memorial table and a small bouquet of flowers for the flower girl. They all came out looking beautiful and was so lucky that our venue had somebody to recommend who did excellent work. Jimmy was easy to communicate, I actually am not a phone person and was able to do everything through email and he responded in ample time. Even when I had a last-minute request, Jimmy was able to accommodate it with no issues. We were so happy with the final results!! -

Jimmy, Julissa, and the entire team are so professional, creative, and the best floral designers in the industry! From the start of the wedding planning process, Jimmy gave me ideas to bring my color scheme to life! I had no idea how I could make centerpieces and bouquets but Jimmy and his team showed their expertise throughout the whole plan. Just when I thought we perfected everything, my husband wanted to change everything to a Star Wars theme! I was so stressed and thought that this theme would not be elegant at all but Jimmy made it all possible! Any worry I had, their team communicated relatively quickly especially with the pandemic throwing so many obstacles our way! I could not have imagined the wedding any other way with our theme! The arrangements and details were stunning and I will forever appreciate the time they took to make our day gorgeous! -

Lights stopped working, boutonnieres stained the suits
Half of the lights stopped working during the reception, and the boutonnieres stained the suit lapels. I wouldn't leave a negative review usually, but they didn't even respond to our email after the wedding.
In addition, when we were finally negotiating the contract the month before, they "made a mistake" that would've cost a lot if we didn't catch it.
