  Memorable experience

  J Brown Jewelers went above and beyond by helping my fiancé create a new ring by using his late mother’s diamond in the center of my engagement ring. They did an amazing job and I don’t believe anyone could’ve done a better job than they did. I can’t stop looking at it😍💍 They had it done super quick too and was so very pleasant to do business with. My fiancé is clueless when it comes to jewelry so I was nervous before I saw it, but with their help he did a great job!

  Best Jeweler - Hands Down!

  I have had several custom pieces done here at J. Brown Jewelers and they are my only go to, when I want a fantastic ring designed and made. I have been working with Lynette for years and she has helped me create the most amazing rings. Twice they have brought tears of joy to my eyes there have been so stunning as finished pieces. This last ring Lynette helped me create is my mother's ring that I have wanted forever...I could never find anything that was my style or that was not flat out ugly. I had initially had my ring made by another custom jeweler and I was mortified how awful it had been made. I brought it to Lynette, ashamed (which she did not judge me and tackled the task of remaking the ring graciously). I am amazed at my end product. I trust J. Brown Jewelers and Lynette is my forever ring designer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. So, so, happy!

Then she worked with us both as we found (through trial and error) our wedding rings. We both love them, they look fantastic, and J Brown gave us a very reasonable price.

  My husband (!) and I bought my engagement ring and both our wedding bands from J. Brown. We loved that they are a family-owned business--it made walking into a high-end jewelry store much less intimidating!!! Paige helped us with my e-ring and Ashley with our wedding bands. Ashley has the cutest doberman dog that is always there! Their prices are way more reasonable than anywhere in DC and they have a HUGE selection. It really helps to do some research before going in because they can order way more rings than they can even stock in the store! They can also get samples in for you to see if they don't have something in stock. Everyone there was just so nice and so excited for us to get married, it was a wonderful experience working with them! Definitely check out their selection for your wedding rings or any other fine jewelry!!!

  My husband purchased my engagement ring here after numerous recommendations from friends. He really enjoyed the selection process and the advice he received from the staff! This was the only place he would purchase our wedding bands from! We only gave ourselves 3 weeks before the wedding when we picked out the rings, so they didn't arrive in time, but the staff didn't think twice about allowing us to borrow the sample rings for our ceremony! Our rings arrived as expected, and they are stunning! My ring is very unique and I love it! What a fun place to shop, I hope my husband will go here for future gifts, hint hint!

  We were so last minute, picked them 3 weeks before the wedding, they are located in Maryland where we live. They promised to ship us the rings before the wedding, the rings arrived as promised 2 days before the wedding, up in Massachusetts where the ceremony was held.

  My fiancé and I looked at many different jewelry stores to find the perfect setting and stone - j browns had the highest quality for the best price by a long shot! The ring came out perfect - better than I ever could have hoped for, and a price that was incredible - I highly recommend them!

  I've had nothing but positive experiences working with Ivy at J. Brown. She was able to help me come up with ideas for my engagement ring, and Fred, the owner, brought in a number of stones until we were happy. I've continued to shop and visit the store and have purchased several other items since.

  My fiance purchased the setting from Fred Brown. My family has been good friends with Fred for years, but when I went in to get my ring resized it was horrible. They tried to CHARGE me $158 "claiming" a prong was missing. Um, they set the stone so it would be their error for a missing prong in less than 2 months! My mom called them up to scream at them and we got it for free, but still that's rediculous. I hope no one else falls for that.   Buyer Beware!!
  You would think that when you’re dropping 9 grand on an engagement ring, you’d get pretty excellent customer service. Not at J. Brown!! My fiancé bought my ring there and the shiesty salesman failed to point out that there was a very visible natural inclusion (think large black dot that I could see with the naked eye holding my hand two feet from my face). Now, my fiancé did feel bad that he didn’t notice it when he bought it, but like I told him, any salesman who wants a happy customer and isn’t just trying to make a buck would have made sure he was explicitly aware of the very visible black dot in the middle of the engagement ring! My fiancé might have never noticed, but wearing it everyday, I noticed it pretty quickly (we got engaged Sunday night and I noticed it Monday morning) and I am not the type of person to settle for mediocre anything. So we brought it in first chance we could, which was 6 days later on a Saturday. The salesman cleaned it for us (at this point we were hoping the spot was just some piece of dirt), brought it back with the spot still there and said, “So I guess you want another diamond?” Not only did we have to get a new diamond, but this guy saw an opportunity to squeeze more money out of us so he brought out a nicer diamond and wanted $500 more for it! I didn’t think we should have to pay anything more given the inconvenience we were being put through, the fact that the new diamond was not that one that my fiancé got down on one knee with, I’d had to look at this ring all week and all I could see was the black dot, which is not what you want at all the first week you’re engaged. Not ONCE did this guy utter the words, “I’m sorry for your inconvenience,” and he even seemed annoyed with us. When I tried to explain why yes, I did want another diamond, he cut me off and just said, “I understand,” as he walked away to get some other diamonds. I would have expected him to offer to meet us half way for our troubles, but no, this guy was all about the bottom line, not about customer service. Buyer beware!!
