J and L was the best vendor I worked with for my wedding - they are AMAZING. So over the top. They were so lovely, easy to coordinate with, and attentive. The work was phenomenal.
They incorporated feedback on the types of looks / how bold to go on each person, so no matter your taste they have you covered. They are both incredibly focused and detail oriented. We never felt rushed. They did me (and my mom for fun :) ) at a test run before the wedding. Then me, my mom, and all the bridesmaids for the wedding. Everyone loved the looks. It was truly stunning. I've never looked better in my life. They also stayed at the venue while we took photos for a few hours so that we could get any touch-ups afterward before the ceremony. Life saving. Even helping me fix my hair since it started snowing during photos and the hair stylist had bailed. Can't recommend them enough for any occasion. As a bonus they are also really fun to hang out with, great vibes for a relaxing atmosphere in the bridal suite! Don't choose anyone else for your event. -

I can't express enough how grateful I am for the amazing work my makeup artists did on our wedding day. From our first meeting to the finishing touches, their attention to detail and artistic talent transformed our bridal party into true beauty queens!
They took the time to really understand my preferences and vision, and with their expert touch, brought that vision to life. The makeup not only highlighted my features but also stayed flawless throughout the entire day and night.
What truly makes them stand out is not just their technical skill but also their warm and calming presence. Weddings can be stressful, but they created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making the overall experience incredibly positive.
Their professionalism and punctuality were impeccable. They made sure the entire bridal party looked stunning and were an absolute joy to work with.
I've received countless compliments on my makeup, and it's all thanks to my incredible makeup artists. I wholeheartedly recommend them to any bride-to-be who wants to not only look but also feel absolutely gorgeous on their special day. Thank you for making me feel like the most beautiful bride! -

With covid interrupting my original plans I was left floundering a little bit. Jax was amazing to work with and so responsive! Not only was my hair and makeup flawless, but I felt like they really listened to me and were super adaptable as covid changed my plans. -

Amazing hair and makeup!!
Jax and Megan were a perfect team to make me and my bridal party look and feel amazing on my wedding day! They made it so easy and traveled to our venue to get ready, and made everyone feel amazing, even our little flower girls! I can be super picky when it comes to hair and makeup, and I got so lucky with Jax! I highly recommend for your wedding. -

I got married in June of 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic. In May of 2020, I reached out to the woman I had hired to do my make up for my bridals and wedding. She informed me she was not doing makeup because of the pandemic. I immediately started to panic. I had my bridals set up the following week and I was getting married in about a month and didn't have anyone to do my makeup!! My mom reached out to our neighbors, who happen to be JandL makeup (we did not know at this at the time). Jaclyn and Linda were AMAZING! They stepped into action immediately! They not only did my make up (last minute) for my bridals they also happened to be available for my wedding!
That is just the first part of this story. Given that my wedding got turned upside down and I ended up getting married in my mom's backyard, which was a blessing in disguise. Jaclyn and Linda opened their home to me and my bridesmaids! They had a little home studio for us to get our make up done. They even allowed us to use their home to get our hair done!! They provided drinks and wonderful entertainment. Above and beyond what I had expected or even anticipated! The professionalism and hospitality was incredible! Not to mention me and my bridesmaids all looked beautiful! I highly recommend them to anyone getting married! -

I cannot say enough about the talent of Jaclyn! Not only is she incredibly fun and kind but she truly has a talent for makeup. I chose her to do my wedding makeup and she absolutely exceeded expectations. The makeup stayed on all night, photographed like a dream, and felt light on my face. She goes above and beyond to make her look your best! I can’t recommend enough! -

J and L Makeup did an amazing job on the makeup for my bridal photos and for my wedding day. A few of my ladies do not regularly wear makeup and they felt so comfortable in the makeup they had on. They listened to exactly what I wanted and asked questions as we went to make sure I was 100% satisfied. They even helped one of the groomsmen cover up a zit. The quality of the makeup they use is amazing. My makeup looked great from begining to end, even after dinner and 3 hours of dancing. I have already recommended them to friends getting married and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a quality makeup artist. -

I have never felt more confident, beautiful, and authentically myself than after Jax finished my wedding makeup. Our day was filled with last minute changes (hello, planning a wedding in 2020), but Jax was a source of constant encouragement and positivity leading up to and on our wedding day. She was endlessly patient as we navigated the challenges of a pandemic and safety concerns and, most importantly, she made our entire bridal party look and feel so gorgeous and glamorous for our wedding.
Jax is a true joy to work with, and there’s no company I’d recommend more than J and L Makeup. Their knowledge and experience is second to none, and you’ll enjoy every moment you spend with these incredible ladies!

Jaclyn and Lynda were so amazing! I was super impressed by their professionalism, their talent and quality of products. I hired them for my bridals and wedding party and they were the perfect fit. They made us all look fabulous for the big day! I also enjoyed the mother and daughter duo. They are both sweet and caring and work as a dynamic team. They provided the lighting, which is huge because we didn't have great lighting at the house we were staying at. They took time to listen to what each person wanted their makeup to look like and went above and beyond! They were also very flexible with scheduling and travel arrangements. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They are the best!! -

Not only are both Jaclyn and Linda professional, experienced, and highly skilled, they are both genuinely nice and so easy to work with. The whole processes of booking, scheduling, and completing makeup for the wedding party went seamlessly. They were also able to provide a personalized referral for an amazing hairdresser. I absolutely LOVED my makeup!! They did an amazing job with all of the bridal party and mother of the bride’s make up! Such sweet, nice and fun ladies! And they do an amazing job! They are very organized, very responsive and want to make sure you are 100% happy!! Definitely recommend these ladies for your wedding and/or engagement photos!! The ladies they brought to do our hair did a great job as well! Picture perfect with these two!! -

Jaclyn and Megan were both so amazing! Jaclyn's quality of work in the makeup was like nothing I had ever seen. She did my makeup so perfect I was in disbelief! Megan gave me the simple look I wanted and made my hair look absolutely stunning. If you are wanting the best hair and makeup in Utah go with J and L makeup. You will be more than pleased. -
