A wonderful husband & wife photographer team that you NEED at your wedding!

Joel and Andrea are simply the BEST! They are SO amazing at what they do, and are so kind, caring and organized. My husband and I hired both of them to shoot our wedding back in July, and it was truly the best investment we made. We met with both Joel and Andrea before our wedding to figure out which package we wanted to purchase, and each time, they were both so kind, organized and knowledgable. They made suggestions for our ceremony and pictures that we hadn’t even though of — including our beautiful Golden Hour photos! Our family and friends had so much fun getting their pictures taken — thanks to Andrea who brought all the humor and fun! She was especially great with getting the kiddos at our wedding to focus while having their pictures taken! Andrea also acted like a personal assistant for me on the day of my wedding, which meant so much to me. She was always asking how I was feeling in the hot weather, she brought me water and even gave me a nice pep talk when I was nervous before walking down the aisle! You NEED this husband and wife team at your wedding. Our photos are so bright, beautiful, classy and optimistic — exactly the vibe we wanted. They capture all of the great angles and when you meet with them, they have examples of the different vibes you can go for in your wedding photos. I loved that they are so thorough and had a little survey for my husband and I to fill out so they can get to know us better! We purchased what is considered their most popular package, and we’re so happy we did as it contains everything we need to remember our wedding. I would recommend J&A Photography to anyone getting married in the Central PA area! Thank you so much, Joel and Andrea, for the best experience!

Beautiful photos, wonderful people

Joel and Andrea photographed our wedding and were wonderful to work with. They both had a great sense of humor and put people at ease. Andrea was awesome with the younger members of our bridal party, and her antics were honestly very likely to put a smile on everyone’s faces, not just the kids’. Andrea and Joel were patient and helpful, not just the day of the wedding, but also as we discussed what to expect before booking and after, as we planned out the day. The pair also provided clear instructions that helped us, two very poor models, look photogenic. The photos they took were beautiful; they captured so much emotion throughout a very long day. We would recommend them to anyone else looking for fantastic photographers for their special day.

Fantastic photographers!

Joel and Andrea are amazing! They are so kind, funny, and easy to work with. We were nervous that we would feel awkward during our engagement photo session and on wedding day, but that was not the case! They made us feel at ease and gave great suggestions throughout the photo session. They helped keep us on time on wedding day, which we greatly appreciated. Also, they were super easy to contact for scheduling, discussing wedding day timelines, etc. We have not received our wedding pictures yet (we just got married!), but we were thrilled with our engagement pictures. I would highly recommend this duo!

Great Photographers exceeded all of our Expectations!

Joel and Andrea photographed our wedding and we could not have been happier!! They were so kind and professional throughout the whole process. Their organization put us at ease on the big day. They were able to capture so many wonderful pictures of us, our family, and our friends a perfect mix of candid shots and portraits to remember the day! They had a eye for great composition and worked so well together that they blended right into the festivities. We felt that we could relax and enjoy and ended up with a beautiful, high quality photo album and digital pictures that we will cherish forever. We are so happy that we trusted J&A photography for our wedding we highly recommend them!

Amazing Couple To Work With!

Andrea and Joel were simply amazing. From the first correspondence and working with them from across the country, to the day of the wedding, communication flawless. They completely understood our vision for the wedding and captured those moments perfectly. We met prior to the wedding and talked through the entire day and they helped set our minds at ease. They also scoped out the venue the day before the wedding to make sure we took photos is some beautiful spots. They were organized and professional, but they also cared so much and made the entire day so enjoyable. They are truly amazing at what they do and we had a blast with them the entire day. We cannot wait to find a reason to work with them again…maybe maternity photo shoot?? We 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer! Thank you so much Andrea and Joel!

Super Friendly and Very good!

Joel and Andrea were everywhere and got every moment possible. They were also so nice and when the kids wanted to see what they were doing or wouldn't smile, they were super sweet. High recommend.

We used J&A Photography for our wedding. Joel and Andrea are some of the most talented and kindest people you will meet. They are extremely knowledgable in their field but also helped me work out my whole wedding day timeline. They were always the vendor that was the easiest to work with and the most helpful when I had questions (especially crazy-brained last minute questions). They were flexible and get to know your style. They are a married couple that knows each other's shooting styles, so the diversity of photos you get is amazing. They are also a lot of fun and GREAT with kids! My two-year old niece was our flower girl and thanks for Andrea's silly expressions, all the photos are of a smiling child. Our photos are truly stunning and incredible. I had the best possible experience working with them and their product is second to none. THANK YOU Andrea and Joel for being a part of our wedding day!

I was extremely pleased with the work J & A did for my wedding. They are so professional and experienced. They did a wonderful job of listening to my requests and then also adding their touch and professional advice. Joel and Andrea were an amazing team to work with; we were so excited to book them for our wedding in June! Before the wedding, we had a fun and relaxed Engagement session with them, and the pictures turned out great! They have such a great dynamic, and we were immediately impressed with the quality and creativity of their photography. Selecting the best photographers was one of the most important things to us, and Joel and Andrea definitely delivered!! They were so easy to work with, and are clearly passionate about what they do. They are also super organized and professional, and provide the Bride and Groom with great tools/resources throughout the wedding planning process. Most importantly, our wedding photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY, it is going to be so hard to narrow down our selections! Also, they were ready for us to view in less than 2 weeks!! We had such a fun and memorable experience working with Joel and Andrea, and can't wait to see our finished album. Joel and Andrea ware by far the best photographers I have ever worked with and I could not imagine anyone capturing our wedding day better. We chose a package with an engagement sessions, and I'm so glad we did. Meeting and working with Joel and Andrea prior to our wedding was not only fun, but it really gave us a feel for how things would go on the big day- which may everything much less stressful, especially for my camera-shy hubby! When we got our engagement shots back, I was blown away and knew that we had picked the right duo to shoot our wedding! On the day-of, Joel and Andrea were total ninjas!! They were not intrusive, discreetly getting the best shots and capturing every aspect of our day, down to the little details. As we looked through our photos (only 2 weeks later!!!), we laughed and cried over how beautifully they depicted the emotion of our day. And it was evidence that they were everywhere all at once!! They got some many little things, yet didn't miss any of the moments between me and my new husband either. I am certain we will treasure our wedding photos forever, and that is all thanks to Joel and Andrea!!!

Joel and Andrea are by far the best photographers in town! My husband and I searched online for hours looking at portfolios of wedding photographers in the area. Theirs stood out with originality, quality and creativity. We met with a few others in town and immediately after meeting with J&A we knew we had found our photographers! They are a fun, energetic couple that truly have a passion for what they do and it shows. They were great to work with, communication leading up to the day of was easy and quick, they arrived early and ready to shoot. All of our photos are absolutely stunning and will be treasured for years to come! We love the beautiful portraits from Joel and the candids from Andrea. They make a great team and we highly recommend them for all of your photography needs!

J&A Photography did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing our wedding day. They were such a pleasure to work with! My husband and I both planned the event long distance with one initial meeting and Joel and Andrea were able to accommodate us flawlessly. The photos they took were all very original and beautiful. We could not be happier with our decision to book J&A Photography for our wedding. They truly were a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. I can't say enough good things about their work and professionalism. Once we received our wedding photos, I again was blown away. Several different people who viewed our photos commented that they were the best wedding photos they had ever seen. Joel and Andrea captured our special day perfectly. Absolutely stunning! We are in love with the photos of our wedding. Joel and Andrea did a wonderful job and were extremely professional. Joel and Andrea are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were recommended to us by some friends who had gotten married in the area. I loved our friends' pictures and unbeknownst to Joel and Andrea they actually took a beautiful photo of my future husband and I dancing at our friends' wedding, just a few days before we got engaged, and I absolutely love that photo - just oozing with love. They were the second vendor I booked ridiculously far in advance; I was certain I wanted them for our day. Our wedding photos turned out GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love them and cannot stop looking at them. Plans changed the day of our wedding due to rain and Joel and Andrea adjusted and created some stunning photos. They captured our love and the essence of the day with their creativity and artistic vision. They were such a pleasure to work with and hilarious!!!!!!! They were also excellent in bringing out the best in the little kids as well. I also love that they took wonderful pictures of all of our guests during the reception, families and friends and couples, and you can just feel the excitement, joy and love in the photos. Very talented couple, love your work and will recommend you to all of our friends getting married in the State College area.

I dont even know where to start with Joel and Andrea! From the time we first met with them until we received our pictures from them they were nothing but professional and so much fun to work with. They traveled over 2 hours just for our wedding and were with us all day. They made picture taking so much fun and knew how to keep things flowing. Once we got our pictures back we were amazed with how amazing they were! They were worth every single penny! I would recommend them to everyone!!

My husband and I got married at General Potter Farm and Joel and Andrea were our photographers. They did an excellent job!!! The entire time they made us feel very relaxed, and we had so much fun with them. The pictures turned out beautiful, with very creative shots. Joel and Andrea did a great job at getting formal pictures, fun shots, and lots of special moments only they could capture. Thank you Joel and Andrea for making our day so special!!!

Joel and Andrea make a great team, it is obvious that they have been working together for a while. This relationship and team work certainly helped and it shows in our wedding pictures. We are so happy with the way they turned out and we have gotten countless compliments on how great our pictures are. They did a great job of catering to the wants of the bride and groom, we had a list of pictures that we wanted of our big day that they requested we share via Pinterest and we were happy to see that we got everything on our wish list. We would definitely recommend them for any special occasion.

Brides -
If you want quality pictures at reasonable prices book J&A Photography. I absolutely love my wedding pictures from them. I have received endless compliments on the photos. Joel and Andrea are so easy to work with. They're both laid back and make you feel comfortable! They are very quickly to respond to emails and phone calls which I loved. Definitely one of my favorite vendors that I booked for my wedding. They captured my day beautifully. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My husband and I decided to get married 5 hours from home at the Gateway Lodge in Western PA. As you can imagine, we had to choose vendors through all online searches. We were extremely impressed with what we saw and decided to give them a call crossing our fingers they would be available. Lucky for us they were and we couldn't have been happier we our decision. Joel and Andrea were very responsive during the planning process and a pleasure to work with on the day. Thank goodness for their expertise in timing, if it wasn't for them we would have never planned the day properly and missed out on some great shots. Day of they were flexible and accommodating around our needs. They took into consideration everything we asked for and photographed every special moment throughout the day and night. After the wedding the pictures were quickly made available for us. Upon viewing we were beyond ecstatic with the results. Joel and Andrea's photos were of superior quality and beautifully taken. Trust me you would not be disappointed if you booked J&A Photography, they are worth every penny!

The most creative and professional photographers!! We had so much fun getting to know them during the engagement photos, which were incredible. They were in constant contact with us and were very detailed in the schedule for the day. Andrea was very sick before the wedding and was unable to be there, but Joel had another photographer there who did an amazing job. They were there for all the important things, and they came up with really creative and fun poises. They even stayed later when the wedding was supposed to end a 11:00 pm. We can't wait to see the pictures!!

My husband and I interviewed 3 photographers for our wedding. As soon as we met Joel and Andrea, we knew we had our photographers. We loved their style of photography. It was modern, but still classic. I had a busy schedule and Joel and Andrea worked with us to schedule the engagement session. We had to reschedule several times because of rain and finally we had to shot in the rain because it was so close to the wedding. They worked to find us the best shots with the rain pouring in the background. On the wedding day, they took amazing pictures. At the wedding, they were very discrete and stayed in the back, but still got amazing shots. I hate when photographers become the third party when the bride and groom are saying their vows. Joel and Andrea were the opposite. They were far enough away, but the zoom on their cameras got all the important moments up close. Overall, Joel and Andrea were amazing. I would recommend them to everyone and I would use them again as my photographers for my wedding.

We booked Joel and Andrea based on their website alone for our engagement and wedding photos. Just took the engagement portion this weekend and within 4 days they already had our pictures edited and up for us to view! Not only that, the photos were amazing. Just like they advertise, they were a perfect blend – we had formal and fun, traditional and more contemporary shots. Perfect to please me, my fiancee, and our parents! They were also a dream to work with – my fiancee and I weren’t sure we would be comfortable in front of the lens but Joel and Andrea put us at ease from the first moment.
I have nothing but the highest praise for J&A photo!

Joel and Andrea were terrific. We really wanted to have beautiful photos that captured us and our day, and that was exactly what we got. They made us feel very comfortable, and we had a lot of fun taking all of the photos. They also understood that we didn't want to do a lot of cheesy poses. Having two photographers with two vantage points also led to a lot of really cool pictures. They both have a great eye, and we couldn't have been happier with the photos and our album. We would definitely recommend them to other couples getting married!

J&A are the best photographers. I am so please with the wedding photos that they did for us. It is so difficult to choose from the wonderful collection of photos. I also love looking at their blog to see their work with clients. I can really feel how special the day was for that couple, and all because J&A did such a great job capturing it. The photographs are the one thing you can keep after the wedding so hire the best!

Photography was one of the most important elements for our wedding day, and after seeing J&A Photography in action at a friend's wedding, we knew they were the ones for us. We corresponded with them often over the course of our engagement, and they were always very responsive and willing to be flexible and provide helpful and creative suggestions.

The value for our investment was excellent; we had a great engagement photo session and used those photos for many projects in preparation with the wedding. Joel and Andrea were with us for 10 hours on the wedding day, capturing literally every event that made the day special. We worked with them in advance to set up a timeline for the wedding day so that we maximized time before and after the wedding, and we were all on the same page. After the wedding, we received a beautiful proof album with all the images from our day presented in order and with numbers for future printing. Additionally, we were transferred copyrights to the images, which is very important to us. Working with J&A was worth every penny!

Creatively, Joel and Andrea are at the top of their game. They understood our style, and represented us as a couple through their photos. We took some photos in more unconventional locations, and the creatively of all the photos really conveys the emotions of our wedding day. Everyone who has seen our photos has commented on the quality and creativity, and we have recommended J&A Photography to quite a few people already.

We are looking forward to working with J&A for photography in the future!

In preparation for our wedding, we met with several photographers in the Central PA region. No one else compared to J&A. Their skill and professionalism were evident from the first time we met, and we could not have been more pleased with our wedding photos! Joel and Andrea were flexible in documenting everything we felt was important, while also adding their expertise to the process. Their artistry and creativity showed in all of our interactions - engagement photos, planning for the wedding, and our actual wedding day. Additionally, they were personable and a pleasure to work with - we were able to relax and laugh with them, which definitely made for much more natural photos than we may have had with a different photographer.

Their packages are reasonably priced, and they offered us a wide variety of options to ensure that our photos and album were/are exactly what we wanted. My husband and I would highly recommend J&A to any couple looking for a wedding photographer!

J&A were very easy to work with. They do not make you look like you are obviouosly posing. Their shots are very natural. The only bad thing, i can't decide which pictures i love more, so i'll probably just take them all! HIGHLY recommend them !!!

J & A Photo did such an amazing job, both at my wedding, and the days leading up to it. They took beautiful photographs, and meshed well with all of the guests at our wedding. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!!

Unbelievable pictures! Having two photographers let them capture every moment. It poured on our wedding day and they managed to still get incredible pictures. There's so many candid shots and we can really see and feel what was going on that day. Wonderful people to work with, they got along great with us and the entire wedding party. The greatest decision we made for the wedding was to have Joel and Andrea as our photographers. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Joel and Andrea did an exceptional job with our wedding photography. We couldn't be happier with the pictures or their service. We lost electricity at our reception due to a bad storm, and they still managed to capture the memories of our special day. Their prices were very fair and they provided us with the broadest portfolio of previous work of the photographers we met with.

Joel and Andrea are the best. The pictures turned out amazing - they make our wedding look like something out of Martha Stewart magazine. They are very professional and also a lot of fun to have around.

So talented! Reasonable prices, and you cannot beat a husband and wife team. You are getting two views, two creative minds, a female/male perspective- all for the price of one. Andrea and Joel are amazing photographers, and I can't imagine using anyone else for any important event ever again.

Joel and Andrea were AMAZING! We paid a bit more money for them compared to other companies, but my husband and I fell in love with the artistic way that they would pose people and the amazing shots that they would get. It was worth every penny. We got over 400 pictures from them and honestly, I can't say that there are any that I hate (and there are too many that I love that I can't print them all!). We did the engagement session with Joel and Andrea so that helped us learn how to stand, tilt our heads, etc before our big day. I highly recommend them!

J&A Photography were great to work with! They took awesome engagement and wedding pictures and were interested in our own style of pictures. We haven't received our album yet, but the sample ones were great and I'm sure ours will be beautiful based on the pictures we had to chose from. A 3/5 was given for flexibility because our wedding pictures were only available to view for 3 months after the wedding online. They also were very strict about the number of hours of photography service they provided. Overall, it was a great experience working with J&A.

Photography was beautiful. The photographers were very professional and the day was well planned out. Overall, we were extremely happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone else for a special occasion.
