Izzy was my first call. Before I had a venue or much of anything else, I reached out because her portfolio was what helped me recognize and articulate the kind of wedding we wanted. What I didn't expect was that she'd also refer me to my planner, rapidly orient me to the Savannah wedding scene, and become one of the most grounding presences in the whole process.
My photography vision was simple: capture the real event and emotions. Wasn’t interested in overly staged or “made for instagram.” I wanted to look back in 50 years and remember exactly how I felt, the look on my grandmother's face when it dawned on her that I'd found my person. Izzy got it immediately.
She was basically my therapist along the way. When I was trying to scout a ceremony location by squinting at Google Maps satellite view, she walked me through the perfect spot based on light, noise, car traffic, and pointed me to a specific tree where she'd shot another ceremony.
The mood board I sent covered selections from her past work alongside other inspiration. On the day, her team called back to specific poses and compositions I'd included. She has a genuinely distinctive aesthetic and a real gift for raw emotion, and yet she was completely focused on my vision rather than imprinting her own. That balance is harder to strike than it sounds.
Day-of, her team was calm, directive, and warm. They made everyone feel comfortable behind the lens. Family portraits were somehow fun.
The first sneak peeks have been the photos of my dreams. Booking Izzy&Co early was among the best decisions we made. -

Izzy is wonderful, and I'm so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with her. When our wedding planner sent us 25+ photographers/portfolios to review, Izzy's work jumped out at me immediately. I instantly loved her style, her use of color and her overall vibe. After that, I looked no further! Our engagement session took place on a sailboat in Savannah (Izzy's fabulous idea), and I still drool over those photos. For our wedding weekend, Izzy brought two other photographers along to make sure everything was captured, which I really appreciated. Our photos turned out beautifully and perfectly - exactly what I wanted- and the turn-around time was speedy! We will cherish Izzy's work for the rest of our lives. -

Izzy is an absolute gem. She is incredibly talented and without a doubt the best photographer out there. Not only does she have great relationships with all of the Savannah vendors, but her photos are BEAUTIFUL and she truly makes you feel at ease. We used Izzy and her associate Hannah for our wedding day. They were both AMAZING! Me and my husband do not feel the most comfortable in front of the camera so they really helped lead us and made it such a good time. We had multiple calls before the big day to get a time line put together which helped so much and made us feel prepared. We also did an engagement session with Izzy and we were blown away when we received the photos back. She is worth every penny and will make sure you get what you want out of your wedding photos! -

It has taken far too long to write this review. We were married April 9th, 2021 and Izzy capture both our engagement photos and our wedding day. Our wedding planner had sent us a few photographers to pick from and honestly Izzy’s photos blew us out of the water because they were so beautiful and vivid. It felt as if you could step right into one of her photos. During the process she took time to get to know us and let us get to know her. She not only is a wonderful photographer but also a wonderful human.
She not only makes sure to capture beautiful photos but made sure that the moments were perfect IRL. On our wedding day we did a first look. On our wedding day we did a first look. It was taking place next to a home and the people in the home wanted to get a peek of that intimate moment. It is an intimate moment and to have an audience is uncomfortable. I didn’t say anything, but she immediately talked to them and explained that it was an intimate moment and asked them to please go inside and they did.
We will cherish the photos she captured for the rest of our lives. Thank you for perfectly capturing this time in our lives.

My fiancé and I got married in the middle of the Covid pandemic and our biggest pain point during planning was the uncertainty due to things out of our control. Izzy and Hannah were amazing to work with, were flexible, and helped minimize some of that uncertainty and relieve much of that stress. Even though we were nervous about photos beforehand, Hannah made our engagement session so fun and comfortable, and we were thrilled with the result! Leading up to the wedding, Izzy’s communication and suggestions in planning were perfect, making us feel important and appreciated as clients. On the wedding day, Hannah’s direction was great and even though our timeline got a bit sidetracked, she adjusted appropriately and worked quickly to still get the images we wanted. Our favorite part about the entire experience was Izzy & Hannah’s personalities! They are both fun, warm people and make you feel so comfortable and valued. -

We (my husband and I) can not thank IZZY enough for the amazing job she did with our wedding photos! The photos are STUNNING!! Not only were her photos magnificent, she was incredible to work with from start to finish. She made my husband and I feel completely relaxed about the whole photography process. Also, not only is she the BEST photographer she was amazing at giving suggestions about other vendors for our wedding that were ON POINT! That was something so helpful that I do not think you find in a lot of photographer's. Izzy was very transparent about the timing in regards to when you would receive photos which were on time! Not only were the photos gorgeous of me and my husbands moments but the caption shots of our friends and family throughout the night (she took captions of our rehearsal dinner and wedding). Her thoughtfulness on sending a little gift before the wedding to keep the bride calm was going above and beyond. WE LOVE IZZY so much and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her as your photographer to shoot your wedding!! -

My husband and I got married in Sea Island last month and we couldn't recommend Izzy enough. From our very first meeting with Izzy, she presented very creative and interesting ideas for our intimate wedding. We knew we were in great hands the moment we started talking with Izzy.
The process leading up to the wedding was very stress-free. It felt like such a sigh of relief once we booked Izzy. Izzy is very thorough in the planning process and we appreciated having all of our planning docs in one easy online portal. It was a very helpful and easy way to communicate.
Wedding days can often feel a little stressful as all of the final details come together, but our time with Izzy taking photos was so fun. We are naturally goofy people, and Izzy just ran with it, making us feel so comfortable and the day feel so perfect. Not only did she capture great photos of us, but she captured incredible photos of our friends and family.
She delivered our album ahead of her deadline which we very much appreciated. The reveal was so fun and memorable. We loved reliving our wedding day during the reveal and we appreciated the time she dedicated to walking us through our album.
We highly recommend booking Izzy to shoot your wedding. You cannot wrong! -

When we decided to be married in Savannah before even choosing our venue, we knew we wanted Izzy to be our photographer! Right away we fell in love with her work and edit style. Izzy took some lovely pictures of my fiancé and I in downtown Savannah as part of an engagement photoshoot. She was on time, professional, helped us pick up outfits and kept us engaged and at ease during the session. One of the reason we picked her is because she had samples on her website of same-sex couples and we wanted to go with someone who for sure was LGBT+ friendly! I personally also love what she does with double exposure pictures because it's not very traditional and it takes great skill to pull it off! -

Izzy is a true professional with amazing talent!!! She was a part of the vendor team for one of our recent clients at Swanson Signature Events. Izzy is always responsive to emails and other communication. Her photo timelines are detailed and very helpful to us as Planners! HER WORK IS GORGEOUS!!! Her detail shots of personal wedding items (like bridal shoes, perfume, invitation, ribbon, etc.) is one of my favorite types of photos to see from her. She captures the feel and style of each couple's unique love story beautifully!! -

We had our elopement in Savannah, GA and it was absolutely wonderful! Since we were coming out of state, we had 2 Skype meetings with Izzy before our elopement, where we were able to get to know each other. She was super helpful in recommending hotels to stay at, places to eat, and things to do - which she provided after our meeting. She is attentive to detail, made us feel comfortable, took care of everything (which took away a lot of the stress). She knew the area very well and she was really awesome at matching our personality to the areas we were getting our photos taken. She was able to think on the fly when the bar we originally wanted was closed and she was able to find another location that fit our aesthetic. It was also very nice having a drink with her at the end. We trusted her to have complete creative control on the locations and the compositions and the photos came out stunning. She absolutely helped make our special day special. If you are thinking about Izzy as your photographer, don't think - JUST DO. You will not be disappointed in not only her ability to be an absolute boss of a photographer but a sweet wonderful friend on your special day.

Izzy is fantastic and so is her husband! From the beginning, with our engagement photos till months past our wedding she constantly stayed in contact, mailing me goodies and bridal magazines. She went above any expectations that I had. I told my husband that the only thing worth our money was our photos and video because that’s what we keep forever! I highly suggest doing a engagement and wedding package! -

Izzy has such talent and was worth every penny we spent to have her photograph our wedding. She has such an eye for detail and is extremely organized and skilled in planning a wedding timeline; everything was down to the minute! She is so knowledgeable in weddings and an expert in wedding photography. I felt confident that we would not miss any key photos because of all of the planning going into the day . Izzy's talent is phenomenal. She is so creative and her photography speaks for itself.
I love that she was able to catch our emotions throughout the night. She also took so many photos of our guests, which was a great surprise. We received over 500 photos, all of which were of the highest quality and more amazing than the last.
We were very thankful with her timeliness in getting our wedding photos back to us, within 2 weeks! She even gave us a sneak peek into our photos within a few days after the wedding.
Thank you, Izzy, for the beautiful photos we will treasure for a lifetime and for your beautiful spirit. We will be lifetime clients. -

I don’t think I have enough room in this little box to profess my undying love for Izzy. She’s just simply the best there is. She loves what she does and it’s so obvious from the first conversation you have with her. She spends a lot of time getting to know you as a couple while preparing for your big day. By the time it’s all said and done, you’ll feel like you’ve been friends forever :) do yourself a favor and hire Izzy. You won’t regret it! -

We hired Izzy to be our wedding photographer, and we are so glad that we did! Izzy herself, is extremely bubbly, fun, colorful and easy to get along with!
Our wedding day, as most of them are, was a blur! We are so happy we chose Izzy to capture these moments for us to re-live whenever we please! Her and her husband got amazing, in the moment photos from us getting ready, to us exiting our reception. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate in the beginning of our ceremony/reception… lightning, thunder and rain don’t make for the best wedding photography environments, but it is what you get in the south in June! Somehow, Izzy still managed to create stunning pictures! You would never know by looking at the pictures, but while she was taking some of our portrait photos, her husband was literally holding an umbrella over her on the porch so the wasn’t’ standing in the rain!!!! And those photos, are probably our favorite! Pure magic! We even challenged her with a sparkler send-off, and she nailed it!
We are beyond thrilled with our decision to have Izzy Hudgins be our photographer and would recommend her 100%! We can’t stop looking at our photos!!!
Something else I absolutely must mention about Izzy, is the time she takes and the sweet little personal touches she does to make you feel special as her client! Izzy sent us sweet little gifts to show her appreciation that we chose her, and it really made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside! We especially love our Christmas ornament she had made for us with one of our engagement photos! It was a complete surprise and really warmed our hearts! Before the wedding, she even sent a thoughtful care package with all kinds of self-care goodies in it to help de-stress and to remind us to take care of ourselves during such a stressful time! Izzy really is the best and really connects with her clients! We will absolutely be reaching out to her again for future sessions! We love ya Izzy!!!

I could go on for days about what a blessing Izzy was! We found her work through a College Friend who posted Wedding Photos on Social Media. I knew from the beginning that the Pictures were going to be one of the most important parts of this process for me. We had decided not to have a Video made and to just go with Wedding Photos. When I first started looking through her work I was blown away at the vibrant colors of the photos, the lighting of each picture, and the way she was able to capture that much emotion. We kind of knew instantly that we had to have her. From the very first Skype Meeting her personality was bubbly and she had a way of making you feel so comfortable. This carried on through out the Engagement Photos - she made the awkwardness disappear and we were able to laugh and be silly capturing some really sweet photos. She is so very easy to work with and understands this might not be something you have done before - she guides you through the whole thing. Friends, you don't just get a Wedding Photographer with Izzy - she was a vital part in all of our planning and prep. She sent over recommendations for Bakeries, Hair & Makeup, Florals, and Venues. She was very familiar with Savannah and her honesty was something I so appreciated. We were from Atlanta planning a Destination wedding. In the coming days before the wedding Izzy stayed in constant contact with us. From Breakfast meetings to the sweetest packages of goodies she would send to keep us excited. When the actual day came around - it's like we had known her for years, and this is something you absolutely want in a photographer. By the time our Wedding Day arrived we were so comfortable with Izzy and our pictures were absolutely amazing. I would scream from every Rooftop to recommend this Sweet Girl. Not only did we make a Friend through Izzy, we found a Photographer that we will forever trust with all of life's sweet moments to come. -

1 million times would choose her again
I worked with Izzy on a previous project in NYC and felt so lucky to be getting married in her neck of the woods! Her work is fantastic, and she couldn’t have been any sweeter throughout the entire process. I constantly got mail from her between the engagement shoot to the wedding – sending little goodies and notes. The little things are what get you through the planning process! The day of was perfect and her day of timeline set the entire wedding up for success. I am so happy with our decision and can’t wait to have her do our family photos some day! Weddings are expensive, but at the end of it all you will always have your photos. I highly suggest overlooking the price of photos, because those are the memories you will cherish forever! -

My husband and I decided to have a destination wedding, so we wanted a photographer who was more local to the area. Izzy and several others were recommended to us, but we took our time reaching out to everyone to get information and price quotes. Izzy however, was the only photographer who really shared her personality and wanted to get to know us from the start. The experience with her was so much more personal from day one, and we decided after the first interaction that we wanted someone like her, who cared about who we were, to be with us on such a special day in our lives. She felt like part of the close family and friends we had at the wedding that day and was genuinely sweet, helpful, patient and incredibly professional. We also LOVED the photos she took and have probably annoyed friends and family with how often we share and talk about them. Izzy was wonderful. I could not recommend her more! -

Best Photographer Ever!
I would recommend Izzy Hudgins Photography to anyone that needed a photographer for any reason. Izzy's ability to capture moments perfectly, from our engagement photos to wedding photos, makes her an amazing photographer. She is fun and playful, but professional when she needs to be. Izzy makes you feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera and you feel like you've been friends for years.
Before my husband and I got engaged I knew that no matter where we ended up getting married (Savannah, GA), Izzy was going to be our photographer. We aren't very serious people and she was able to capture our personalities and relationship, while still getting the classic "wedding photos".
I tell anyone that I meet who is getting married and in need of a photographer that they should hire Izzy. She is incredibly talented and you won't be disappointed that you hired her to capture one of the most important days of your life! -

Michelle Sent on 10/25/2017after pursuing several photographers in the savannah area, i settled on izzy b/c i loved her website and other pictures she displayed. once i contacted her, i knew she was the one - and i was right!!
izzy always responded to our email in a timely manner. she had great suggestions on packages and how to spend the time according to the package we picked. we never felt pressured to buy more than we wanted/needed.
we asked for suggestions on hair/makeup/flowers, etc., and her suggestions were spot on for us.
her assistant, hannah, was actually our photographer the day of the wedding and we had a great time with her. she had ideas of her own but was also very open to ideas we had in mind.
our pictures were ready much sooner than expected, which was a pleasant surprise! as soon as we opened the link and viewed the first picture, i started "happy crying" all over again! it was magical. she captured our special day perfectly.
izzy puts an extra little touch on everything she does...it's a special time already but izzy makes it extra special!
in the end, it's about creating beautiful photos to have and always remember the extra things that might be forgotten. we highly recommend izzy to anyone! ps...she'll travel!! -

Megan Sent on 07/06/2017Izzy and Martin were a dream. I got married in Atlanta, so they drove halfway across the state to take the most gorgeous photos. I was so overwhelmed the few weeks before the wedding, I totally forgot to create a shot list for Izzy. But it wasn't a problem in the least — she checked all the boxes I forgot to make :).
She also had the photos back to me within three weeks of the wedding — AN INSANELY FAST TURNAROUND! The pictures are beautifully edited, and all my family and friends are in love with them. I want to make getting married an annual event so we can ask Izzy back over and over again. -

Izzy and her team, did an AMAZING job of capturing moments we will forever treasure. She is so passionate about her work, and she brings more to the table then just photography. I cannot express how beautiful our photos are and how happy we are. To top it all off, her husband, Martin, was one of the photographers for our wedding, and he speaks fluent Spanish which was perfect for our Southern / Ecuadorian wedding!
