We booked Kara for our wedding photography and could not be happier. She was very easy to communicate with from the beginning and made us feel very comfortable during both our engagement shoot and wedding photos. Her work is beautiful and we got our photos back pretty quickly. Without hesitation I would recommend her and would love to work with her again. -

Best Photographers Ever!
Ivory Blush Photography (Kara and her husband Ryan) are exceptionally talented and creative photographers who care deeply about the quality and story of the photos and the people in the photos. From our very first call, we have felt nothing but love and kindness from Kara. She puts her clients first and engages in conversation so well as we planned for our engagement shoot and eventually our wedding day. Then, both Kara and Ryan continued to be kind and caring as they made us feel so relaxed and natural in front of the camera. They know when to give prompts for posing and how to capture the good light. During the wedding we barely noticed them because they were so respectful as they took photos and videos. We truly appreciate how they allowed our wedding ceremony to be sacred and special, but still captured every moment. During the rest of the day it was like us and our guests knew them our whole lives as they embraced our favorite people with warm conversations while they were capturing our wedding. Both of them were flexible and fun as they celebrated all the special moments and events we had during our wedding. As I show my friends and family Kara and Ryan’s photos here are the top adjectives we hear: beautiful, enchanting, romantic, and amazing quality. Ivory Blush Photography made all our light and airy wedding photo dreams come true. To anyone looking for a photographer for your wedding, engagement shoot, family shoot, etc.(she really does it all) I highly recommend Ivory Blush Photography- they are everything you want in a photographer and more! -

Sweetest photographers!!
Kara and Ryan are a wife and husband duo that are not only amazing photographers, but also so kind and loving! Kara made our first photoshoot together (engagement pics) more comfortable and fun, by playing music and joking with us. She even gave us a small gift, which was so thoughtful! She sent us sneak peaks THAT NIGHT and we were shocked with how everything turned out. Throughout the planning process for our big day, she was super communicative and you could tell she genuinely cared because of how often she said she was so excited! On the day of, she and Ryan were amazing and worked so well with our videographers. Sneaking away for photos, which could seem like a chore to step away from dinner with family and friends, was actually really fun with the whole media team. They worked hard to position us, getting the lighting just right, and capturing so many memories. Kara has such a warmness to her that makes it easy to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of her camera. Her photos come out true to color with a slight airiness to them and print so beautifully. She sent us sneak peaks 3 days after our big day and they were so good, we can’t imagine what the entire gallery will look like! Thank you so much Kara and Ryan for your awesome work and being so fun to work with! -

I was looking for a certain photo aesthetic when I found Ivory Blush/Kara. I liked the airy, soft, and timeless photograph style that she depicted on her website. When Kara and I met for the first time to discuss wedding details, I felt like I was meeting up with an old friend. In addition to being very professional and a skilled photographer, she was refreshingly genuine. Kara has been a photographer for quite a long time and now works as a team with her husband. Taking the lead, Kara orchestrated beautiful posed photos while her husband captured the candid moments. Kara was very attuned to my needs and ideas. She delivered everything that I asked her for and more. When I pitched the trending “photo/table dash challenge” to her a month before the wedding, she made it happen. When I invited her to come wine tasting with me to check out the venue I picked, she willingly obliged. She was not only flexible, but she makes a fantastic director too. I am not a natural in front of the camera, but she gave me and my husband instructions while taking pictures. The outcome was incredible - she managed to make me look like a Bride Magazine covergirl. Kara captures the entire wedding – from the special moments between the bride and groom to the finer details – place settings, details in the décor, and sweet exchanges between the guests. Kara even gifted my husband and I with thoughtful personalized gifts the day of. I couldn’t have picked a better photographer for my day. Thank you Kara! -

Everything we ever hoped for
Kara and Ryan were the perfect wedding photographers. We were excited to meet them based on some photos we had seen of another wedding at our venue in Lake Tahoe, I loved the dreamy romantic look of the Kara's photos. After meeting her on the phone it was a no brainer. She and Ryan are attentive, detail oriented, and comprehensive without being overbearing. They were extremely flexible on our wedding day when the weather really gave us a run for our money. They captured every shot we asked for, gave us sneak peaks within a couple of days and the whole wedding album within a few weeks exactly as promised. I would book them again 100% in a heartbeat. I have absolutely zero regrets, they made our wedding day memorable in exactly the right way. -

Hands down, the most amazing photographer. Kara and Ryan are such a fun couple to be around, but they’re also amazing at what they do. Kara had taken our engagement photos and my boudoir shoot, so time and time again she blew me away with her photos. She was the first vendor I picked out and I knew she was it when I saw her Instagram! It was no surprise that our wedding sneak peeks also blew us away. We completely trusted them to do whatever they wanted at our wedding - when Kara asked us about sunset photos, I moved up the entire wedding (yes that much trust). I think that their photography is not only the best (did I mention she still does film?!) but their personalities are so easy and fun to get along with. They’ve become our friends and on our wedding night, we all danced together and I didn’t want to let Kara go! Thank you Kara and Ryan for being the best! -

Kara is incredibly kind, patient, and very talented. My husband and I somehow ended up in the wrong location at this park for our maternity shoot and Kara could not have been nicer about it. She is a pleasure to work with and we will cherish our maternity and newborn photos forever. -

I found Kara before my now-husband and I got engaged and I IMMEDIATELY knew I wanted her to photograph our wedding. Right off the bat, she was so easy-going, quick to communicate (which I love as a type A), and I love her portfolio - her photos are so dreamy and she really perfects the natural lighting. I always wanted photos done in Yosemite and when I asked, she made it happen. Come the day we take the photos, we meet her and her husband Ryan (who is also the second shooter) and we have the BEST time. They are both so thoughtful (brought us hand warmers and champagne) and are so, so funny. My husband, who can get a little awkward sometimes, was so talkative to Ryan and spoke so highly of them afterwards. Now, anytime someone takes a bad photo of him he says "Kara would never do me like that". They made us feel so comfortable being in front of the camera and I could not have asked for a more natural engagement session. When we got our photos back, I gasped + cried at how truly amazing all the photos were. Kara, thank you for capturing the BEST photos of my life. I can't believe I'm lucky enough to do this with you again later this year! I would highly recommend Kara and Ryan from Ivory Blush! -

We loved our photos from Ivory Blush, plus Kara and her hubby are so sweet and really fun to work with. It felt like having a friend at our wedding. We got beautiful shots of our details plus portraits, and then they also gave us a ton of fun candids, which I love love love because as a bride you miss SO much at your own wedding, so it was fun to look back at these and see all our guests having fun! Her portrait work is so beautiful - the romantic, light, airy look is exactly what we wanted. We will cherish these forever! -

Ivory Blush Photography (Kara and her husband Ryan), is everything we could have asked for and more! They have shown us nothing but understanding, flexibility, and support during these challenging times and not one, but 2 schedule changes due to COVID-19. We were already impressed with how much they cared about our wedding date and understood the challenges we had to go through to make it happen even before the big day. They graciously accommodated all social distance requirements and photography restrictions during our intimate Catholic wedding and even then, the photos turned out A M A Z I N G! I was especially concerned about the dim lighting inside the church and Kara made the photos look beautifully lit. Her directions and ability to make my husband and I feel comfortable (and not awkward) around the camera made for our dream photos. Did I mention she also does FILM?? Honestly, so extremely talented. And the best part is, we get to do this all over again in 2021. Can't wait to work with Kara and Ryan again!

Since our small wedding last year, we've worked with Ivory Blush twice! Kara photographed our engagement re-shoot in San Francisco and bore the cold and wind like a champ! She took us to Lovers Lane and knew exactly where she could find the best shots.
Then we finally were able to have our wedding celebration and throughout the entire planning process, Kara never hesitated to reach out and offer help where she could. It was important to us that we got photos with our friends and family since we couldn't be with them last year and Kara did an amazing job! Kara and Ryan are simply the best to work with and they are so fun to be around! We can't wait for future life events so that we have another excuse to shoot with Ivory Blush again -

You need Ivory Blush for your wedding!!!
Kara and Ryan did such a beautiful job at our tiny 'quarantine' wedding in Napa on April 24, 2020. It wasn't our original plan since COVID tore our beautiful ceremony and reception to pieces but luckily we were able to have a tiny ceremony! Kara and Ryan were totally game for it and showed up with smiles (and masks) to photograph our special day. Kara is such a consultative and professional photographer. From the start she talked me through and made a timeline of our wedding event (the original plan) and totally had me thinking about things, I hadn't planned out yet. I didn't have a wedding planner but I could see how easily she could work with one if I did. Kara and Ryan make you feel instantly comfortable in front of the camera- and just know how to get those natural smiley, soft and romantic shots. I am so over the moon for my wedding library! Thank you a million times Kara and Ryan at Ivory Blush! -

Kara and her husband Ryan, where without a doubt the best decision we made for our wedding. Not only are they incredibly talented, but the sweetest and kindest people I’ve ever met. My husband and I do not consider ourselves very photogenic people. However, Kara and Ryan made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They help you with posture and posing to get those beautiful shots that you and your husband wish for, when scrolling through wedding pages on Pinterest and Instagram. Kara’s knowledge in the wedding industry is extremely helpful. Whenever I had questions or in need of vendor recommendations, she was always there to help. We will definitely be using their photography services again. Thank you so much Kara and Ryan. Also, thank you to Trenton who was a 3rd shooter at the wedding. You all were so much fun and we are blessed to have such a talented team capture the beauty of our wedding day. -

Beautiful pictures and great couple to work with.
We had to change photographers a few months before the wedding and happy we did! Working with Kara and Ryan was great, they are so fun, professional and great at capturing shots. It felt so natural to work with them. It was great to have 2 photographers and having focus on each of us. We did 2 first looks, one with my dad and then with us, the execution of these was amazing and beautifully done. Cant wait to work with them again. ❤

I’ve never been one to love being in front of the camera but during my wedding photo shoot, Kara made the whole experience so fun, enjoyable, and most importantly, made my husband and I feel comfortable. She really works with what YOU want. She is very flexible and is great when it comes to communicating. We got our pictures back so quick and they were beyond perfection! They are going to be memories that we’ll cherish forever. And thanks to Kara, the pictures will keep the memories vivid in our minds. Kara is the way to go no matter what kind of shoot you’re looking for. My husband and I will definitely be using her again. I cannot recommend going with Kara enough!!

She is very talented and has the perfect touch. Usually I am a very tense, embarrassed, individual when it comes to pictures. I don't know what to do, what my "perfect side" is or how to enjoy a photoshoot. I'm so glad I have found the perfect photographer! She make things fun, and she is very gracious, comfortable and sooo sweet. As long as she's available, I will forever refer her, and have her capture my journey.
