Absolute Perfection - Made our Dream Wedding a Reality

We discovered Ivie Joy via her beautiful Instagram and knew before we even got engaged that Ivie would be our choice. We were not disappointed! From our early (really fun) meetings, Ivie understood our vision immediately and turned it into a reality, completely transforming our already beautiful wedding space. Her team's attention to detail, artistry, and flower selection were impeccable. But what truly set her apart was how accommodating she was - her team came through on lighting for our florals, candles, as well as table decor, linens, etc. The team was an absolute joy to work with throughout the entire process, making it stress-free and enjoyable. The best decision we made

Ivie Joy Floral did a fantastic job for our wedding! They went above and beyond with bringing our vision to life and my friends all kept commenting on how beautiful our flowers were. We had a grand entrance, a structure with hanging flowers and an assortment of high and low table center pieces (in addition to the little details everywhere). All of the flowers were perfect, even given the extreme temperatures in August. The design phase was flawless and I loved doing the in person set up and ensuring that the arrangements were exactly what we were picturing in our heads. They even went above and beyond by last minute helping us decorate for the welcome party and when I walked down the aisle, I noticed they had put flowers in the church which we had not previously planned. They were a delight to work with and I highly recommend using them based on their high quality service and jaw dropping designs!!!

Beyond Beautiful

If you are going for the WOW factor, Ivie goes over and above to deliver truly extraordinary florals! She is a genius and an artist who I feel was able to read our minds and make our daughter’s wedding vision come to life in the most colorful, lush and spectacular way. Working with Ivie was easy—we didn’t have to give her much input for her to know exactly what was wanted, and when we arrived at the venue, we were truly stunned and how beautiful and magnificent everything looked. Truly one of the most wonderful pieces of our perfect day.

True floral artist with amazing vision

I really wanted something different for our wedding day. We were going into an industrial space and I was looking for moody, organic installations that looked as if nature was taking over. Ivie really listened to what I was looking for and created an immersive experience that evolved as people moved through the night.
The selection of flowers was phenomenal and the arrangements looked like they were always meant to be there. Every touch was thoughtfully and expertly crafted from the bouquets to the acrylic sesting chart with deep roses climbing.
All our guests raved about the decor and were blown away by the large hanging installations of the tables with hanging globe candles that created an intimate dining experience. I almost cried when I saw the spaces, and continued to find little touches that ties everything together throughout the night.

Beautiful flowers & easy to work with!

Ivie was great to work with, really helping us get to exactly what we wanted through proposal, an in-person mtg to finalize the flowers, and at the final event. We wanted a natural, wildflower look and she made exactly that. She also worked with us to stay within our more-limited floral budget, figuring out ways to make the flowers go as far as possible. Truly truly a talent artist and unrivaled flowers!

Such beautiful work

Ivie was amazing from the beginning. I sent her photos of my inspiration for our September wedding and we had an initial call to go over our vision before she put together her proposal to meet, go over it and sign it in person. We booked her a year before our wedding and she was always open to questions and any idea changes that we had during that time leading up to the month before the day. At our last meeting a few weeks before the wedding she showed us a preview of our table scape and my bridal bouquet. She listened to both my husband and I, made some adjustments and put together the perfect look. I trusted her completely and she went above and beyond on our wedding day, adding extra touches to make our venue even more beautiful than it already was. When I arrived at the venue I noticed an additional floral arrangement/installment at the entrance that was done on her own free will and it transformed the area. We got married at the Foundry. Ivie and her team work there often so she knows the venue very well and what works in it. She even helped me out a week before our wedding by giving me some greenery to place into table number frames that I took on as a DIY project. She did more than we could’ve imagined, making everything so beautiful. Contact her as soon as you set your wedding date because you’ll be in the best hands in terms of decor.

Taste, Style, and Budget - hire Ivie

We could go on and on about Ivie Joy and her incredible work - she goes above and beyond. Her taste is impeccable. She has an incredible sense of style, mixing trends with classical elements, and does it all for a very reasonable budget. Without question, she and her team gave us the most bang for our buck - throwing in additional elements and repurposing pieces from our ceremony into our reception - she works with a couple to make sure the event looks amazing for a price you won't find anywhere else. She is a consummate professional and delivers. She listened to our vision, and elevated it. Can't say enough great things about her - if you're thinking about flowers, just save yourself hours of phone calls and research and hire her. You won't regret it.

Ivie is incredible! We can’t even begin to describe how beautiful her designs are; how much personality they brought to our event; how perfectly she captured our aesthetic and what we were hoping to accomplish with the event design (all despite our persistent inability to put any of this into words); on top of the fact she's sweet and fun! No single aspect of our wedding received more compliments than the flowers and the visual design of the day. Everything so vastly exceeded our expectations, it still amazes us to think back to it. Ivie clearly loves what she does and it shows in her work.

We got married at The Foundry in NYC in June and used Ivie Joy for the florals. Let me just start by saying that there is no way I can appropriately capture in an online review how absolutely BLOWN AWAY we were by her. The woman is honestly a genius and a true artist and you are crazy if you work with anyone else. Everybody has a wedding detail that they personally care about, whether it's the food, the invitations, etc. Going into it, flowers was not something my husband or I had specifically called out as one of those priorities. And yet, we walked away from the wedding with the consensus that she was by far the best vendor of all the ones we worked with. Even my husband couldn't stop raving about her work which is especially commendable given he's never had an opinion or made a comment about a floral arrangement, ever. She completely brought my vision to life, but times 100000. Everything was so much more lush and rich and beautiful than I could've imagined. And she was so easy to work with! The whole process was low-touch which is a huge help when you're stressed out dealing with a thousand other wedding vendors. I could tell from the recommendations/perspectives she gave that she has true artistic vision and knows her stuff, and it was wonderful to feel like I could place total trust in her. Seriously, if you're lucky enough to be able to book her (she's a busy lady these days and does fewer and fewer weddings), DO IT. You won't regret it and it'll be money well spent.

From the consultation, to the preview -- and, of course -- the wedding itself, they were great to work with. We loved working with Ivie. She's a true artist and makes beautiful arrangements. We felt that Ivie really listened to what we wanted. She was patient and made sure that we were happy with all of the arrangements. During our sample session, I couldn't really articulate what I wanted for my own bouquet. Ivie looked at a picture of my dress and made something on the spot that was more perfect than I could have possibly imagined. The flowers looked great on our wedding day, and we got so many compliments. We highly recommended her!

Wow!! We are so glad we used Ivie Joy as our wedding florist! They were such a pleasure to work with and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. My jaw dropped when I walked into our venue and saw the stunning work they did! Our floral arch for our ceremony was gorgeous!! I couldn't have imagined something more beautiful. The reception room was magical with chandeliers and hanging light bulbs. They took our vision and made it a reality. We couldn't be happier with how everything came out and we highly recommend them!!

We spotted Ivie Joy Florals when we were touring our eventual venue and saw beautiful flowers. Turns out their shop was across the street from us! If I could give Ivie and Liz 10 stars I would. I worked with Liz to create my floral vision, after talking with her on the phone and sending her my ideas and images she immediately understood the look I wanted to achieve and sent me through her ideas for each element of the wedding (tables, ceremony, bridal party). What they executed for our wedding blew me away, the flowers were incredible. Liz and Ivie went above and beyond my expectations they executed my vision beautifully!

If I had to name an MVP for my big day, Ivie and her team would be it! They set-designed the heck out of the venue and really set the stage for my dream wedding. From the moment I brainstormed with Ivie on the theme and vision, I knew she understood what I was looking for. I was so impressed with her and her team that I recommended her to another fellow bride getting married the week after me! To this day, I'm still getting compliments on the flowers and overall set design from family and friends, including the gorgeous flower wall that was built. Even the other vendors were in awe of her work! Ivie and her team are extreme professionals and really work with you to nail down the details. It's also comforting to know that they've worked at the venue before and was able to navigate any tricky nuances the day of. I was pretty worry-free during the entire planning process and only did basic follow ups as we neared the big day. Ivie's flower choices were gorgeous and I had very minimal feedback. Her enthusiasm to the theme was amazing and it reflected in her work. LOVE LOVE LOVE her and the team. The only issues I had was a missing bouquet toss arrangement, which was kind of embarrassing since I had nothing to give away during the Anniversary dance and for some reason, they ended up making the flower girl crown though we removed it from my list. I only found out about it from seeing the photos my photographer had taken. I was only slightly bummed b/c I would've loved to have seen and/or given away that crown to a guest. Even the flower girl basket they provided was cute though we discussed not needing it. The altar also seemed to be missing some design elements I thought we discussed but these are very minor given the grand scheme of things they pulled off that day.

I would definitely continue recommending them to any of my friends again and hope to attend a wedding that utilizes the expertise seen from Ivie and her team.

Liz at Ivie Joy was so easy to work with. She is super organized and made me feel extremely at ease with trusting her to do a great job. Ivie Joy was phenomenal! Throughout the planning process, she always kept constant communication. She was always open to modifications in our plan and played a very active role in coordinating layout plans with the caterer. On the day of the wedding, we were absolutely blown away with our center pieces, bouquets and the chuppah. The amount of flowers on all the arrangements were WAY more than we ever expected. Ivie Joy and Liz Yang were both a dream to work with. With all the stresses a wedding can be, it's imperative to find vendors that are not only professional, but calming. Ivie Joy and her team are the epitome of what one would hope for in a decor team. Their understood by vision from the very beginning and halfway through the process, I trusted them to take over any further decisions that needed to be made, since they always put themselves in their clients shoes.

The quality of their flowers is above any others I've seen. They don't cut corners and they'll work through the night if they have to. True story! I more than recommend them for any occasion and am looking for an excuse to use them again.

It was a great pleasure working with Ivie and Liz in planning the florals of our wedding. Ivie and Liz were very professional and had a great eye for color and details. They were always receptive to our suggestions and constantly worked with us to create the perfect look for everything. From centerpieces to boutonnieres, no detail was left unattended to. The bridal bouquets were beautiful and the centerpieces were lush and captured perfectly the garden sensation we were aiming for. They even provided several spare boutonnieres for me to change to throughout the night. My wife continues to be amazed by her bouquet a week later. It was a great joy working with Ivie, Liz, and their team. They were professional, creative, and attentive throughout the entire process. It is such a pleasure working with Ivie and her team. After our initial consultation we were confident that our vision for our church ceremony and reception floral arrangements would be the way we want. In fact, the results far exceeded our expectations that a friend of ours also hired them for her upcoming wedding. To give you a brief idea of the grand and exceptional work they provided us, imagine this: An “organic lush city” or “nature meets Manhattan” theme displaying high and low centerpieces for 23 tables with towering camellia branches with orchids and LED lights in hanging glass orbs. There were ferns and fiddleheads and an array of flowers and candles in exotic fashion. We say “exotic” because there isn’t any arrangement we’ve seen quite like it. Not to sacrifice quality, their efficiency is on point. There was another wedding reception held prior to our event and it gave the team limited time to set up but they were able to deliver. We started our reception without delay!

Ivie and her team created such stunning and elegant work. It was amazing for the enormity of a job they were hired to do. We received many compliments for the ambience of our venue, the escort card table, floral pieces for the bridal party and church arrangements. We had the bathrooms, the cake, and sweetheart table decorated. Even the bridal car had flowers! It was truly a Spring wedding. We were very impressed and if you must ask us, they come highly recommended :)

Wonderful, really exectuted my 'vision,' a pleasure... I was somewhat worries about the flowers since I really did not want traditional large, heavy, fussy look that is so common... There are no words to completely convey how happy and appreciative we are of the service we received from Ivie Joy Floral Arts and Events. From start to finish they really went out of their way to make our night truly magical. The floral arrangements made for our wedding were amazing and made our venue look absolutely stunning. They truly exceeded our expectation in every way. Ivie and Liz were such a pleasure to work with. They were very professional and we never had a hard time communicating with them. High class flowers, their taste is impeccable! What my fiancé and I loved about Ivie Joy and Liz is that they were very approachable and they listen to you. Every time we came to their shop in Astoria for our consultations, we were welcomed with warm smiles and made us feel at home.. at ease. I expected nothing but the best from them knowing from the past how they do their arrangements and floral setup, but still, my husband and I (and our guests) were blown away when we walked into our venue!

Attention to detail is their strongest asset. My bouquet was something that was picked out of my dream. Our flower wall looked like it came out of a fairytale book. Everything was just so beautiful beyond words! I trusted them and they delivered without fail. I am one happy bride and will definitely be sending future brides their way!

It's not everyday that a girl can plan for two weddings with different themes. My fairytale weddings became reality when my husband and I met Ivie and Liz. I am I huge fan of Ivie Joy and her work. She and her team, (shout out to Liz!) were a pleasure to work with. Her flowers arrangements are so unique and beautifully designed.
We wanted a warm, fall theme with a pop of color and we got above and beyond what we asked for. She turned our ideas into reality and paid close attention to the littlest details. The church and reception were amazing. The bouquets and the centerpieces were so bright and colorful, which made the photos even livelier. The reception, from the table arrangements down to the cake set the tone for a lovely evening with our family and friends.
When we met Ivie for our previews, we were blown away by the table arrangements. She was a pleasure to meet with and very personable, paying close attention to the things we wanted and did not want. She gave me a last minute to-do-list making sure I was on top of things and gave added advice to just let go and take everything in on our wedding day!

Flowers are probably the most important element of a wedding (in my opinion) and my ceremony/reception flowers looked STUNNING. Ivie really nailed the look and feel I was going for without much direction on my part.

Ivie was my friend's florist for a wedding a month before my own wedding. The look and feel of my friend's wedding was very different from my own yet Ivie was able to capture my friend's aesthetic perfectly which is a real testament to her talent.

Please do not think twice, hire her! I promise you will not regret it!

My husband and I have zero knowledge on flowers and wedding centerpieces. All we knew is that we wanted something nice and beautiful. We didn't want to spend so much on flowers but didn't want to have bare decor either. Ivie and her team help us conceptualize the decor of our wedding. With a few questions here and there from Ivie, they were able to develop a proposal based on what we like and based on our personalities. Their price was reasonable. They worked with our budget and was very fair with us. Our centerpieces turned out looking like straight from a fairy tale book. It was MAGICAL. The flowers smelled soooo good and looked so fresh. A lot of the guests took them home :) My bouquet was exactly how I wanted (white with some blush pink flowers and the wrap to have some bling and lace--she listens to the smallest detail) Besides the fact, that they are talented and have a keen eye on color and things that are beautiful, it was such a pleasure to work with them. Our meetings turned out to be more like casual gatherings as if we've been friends for a very long time. Every meeting was fun and full of laughter. Liz Yang, Ivie's assistant is also a breath of fresh air. She personally delivered the bridesmaid flowers and my bouquet which I thought was really nice.

Ivie and her team was a deciding factor as to why we didn't choose a venue that required us to use their own florist. We wanted her and we highly recommend her to any couple. She definitely knows her flowers and is able to design and make everything beautiful in harmony with your venue. You wont go wrong with Ivie Joy <3

I don't have the adequate words to express my gratitude to Ivie and her team for the amazing flowers they did for our wedding. We came to Ivie with a very small flower budget, and she turned our venue into a magical garden. She and her assistant Liz were extremely responsive and professional and lovely to work with. They went above and beyond to create the most beautiful centerpieces, bouquets and chuppa for our day. Since we didn't have the budget for a wedding planner, we wanted to work with vendors that we could trust so that we could ensure our day went smoothly without needing to be as hands on a planner could be. Ivie and Liz kept us on track and organized all while being the most fun and easy people to work with. Further, as Ivie had worked at our venue before, she was able to tell us what she thought would look best in the space and worked to modify my original ideas to best fit the space and make the most beautiful environment. I am so glad we trusted her because what they put together was completely stunning. In the early stages of wedding planning, I came across a bouquet created by Ivie Joy Florals and instantly fell in love. I knew she had to be our florist. Even as all the wedding dust has settled, I am still at awe every time I look at pictures of the florals. There are not enough words to describe Ivie Joy and her team. They are beyond amazing. They listened intently to our requests (even when we sometimes didn't even know exactly what we were asking for!). The team incorporated all aspects of the wedding from the theme, to the venue, to the color scheme and general "feel" of what type of wedding we wanted and helped create our "updated gatsby" wedding that I'm sure Jay Gatsby himself would have marveled at. They were very responsive, professional, and delivered high quality service. Even on the day of, when a corsage came apart, they swiftly repaired it to perfection. They were flexible with requests (up to 2 weeks prior to the wedding!) and eased any concerns. When the Big Day finally arrived, I was confident that our florals would be everything we dreamed of.. and they were even better :)

Ivie Joy and her entire staff were awesome. From the very start, Ivie Joy was very helpful. I did not know the first thing about flowers, but Ivie Joy made it really easy. From the RFP she drew up, she made a very detailed description of everything that will be included (meaning no hidden costs). They are very professional and very knowledgeable at what they do. They make sure that your flowers are lush and other decorations don’t look cheap but aren’t overdone as well. Prior to the wedding, they will schedule a preview, that way, you know exactly what you’re getting. We were really happy how everything turned out. My bouquet and the bridesmaids' flowers were gorgeous. Our Church flowers were simple yet elegant. Our centerpieces were beautiful and truly gave the reception a very romantic feel to it.

Ivie Joy absolutely blew us away. The flowers, the design, the decor -- every single element they touched was absolutely perfect. I am not exaggerating at all -- my expectations for the way our wedding should look was both reasonably specific and held to a very high standard. Ivie Joy exceeded those standards, and we couldn't be happier with how everything looked.

We worked with Liz and Ivie both on putting together our ideas, but at the end of the day we let them run with it after they had a very solid grasp of what we wanted. We had an extremely tall order -- to transform a concrete, steel and glass space into a grassy, flowery, garden with lighting and a flowing chuppah. We had (as everyone does) a limited budget to work with but we still wanted to try to make this fantasy a reality.
They were amazing in the process of working with our budget and they did a fantastic job of making it work.

When we arrived to our venue on our wedding day, we were in awe of how gorgeous everything was. Our guests were raving about how beautiful our ceremony looked and even the venue staff were freaking out and posting Instagram photos of the transformation that Ivie Joy made to their space.

You will not regret working with them -- they are absolutely deserving of all the praise they get and we have ZERO complaints about them. Do not hesitate to reach out to Ivie Joy, they do amazing work, have an incredible eye for detail and decor and their execution is flawless.

My husband and I used Ivie Joy as our florist for our wedding. Ivie is very knowledgeable, creative, friendly and passionate about her job. I immediately felt I could trust her. I had several ideas and Ivie pieced them all together to create the PERFECT spring wedding. I communicated with Ivie through emails, texts, phone calls and in-person meetings. She was always available to answer questions and help me sort out even the smallest details. A few weeks before the wedding, we met with her for the final time; she had examples of all the flowers for us. To be honest they were beautiful then and gorgeous on the actual day! Ivie helped me pick a color scheme that went perfectly with my venue and my bridesmaid dresses. She gets a feel for your style and what type of look you’re going for. She introduced me to several different types of flowers, which made all my flowers unique! Our church pews looked perfect and my bouquet was exquisite! Our venue looked breathtaking. Every guest was amazed with the floral arrangements, candles and crystals she used to decorate the tables, fireplace, and place card table (her work was everywhere!). Not to brag but my tables looked like something straight out of a bridal magazine. She is extremely talented, hard working and humble. Most importantly she really cares for her clients. Her team is also very professional and helpful, and even went out of their way to help us with some baskets for the church. It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with Ivie. We still feel so lucky that we found Ivie from IvieJoy Flowers and Events and chose her team to design our wedding. Ivie is amazing! She did such a beautiful job on our chuppah, I still get blown away thinking about it!!! Literally, she knew exactly what I wanted before I wanted it. It was beautiful and sophisticated and decadent- everything I wanted for our 1920's themed wedding! She stayed way longer than she needed to and worked really hard and the effect was astonishing. Words can't describe how amazing the flowers and staff are of Ivie Joy Floral. We were lucky enough to see her work first hand at my husband's sister's wedding in Barbados. Her work was phenomenal!! We knew right there and then that we had to contact her and set up a meeting with her to discuss our ideas. On the day of our meeting, I remember saying ONLY 2 things to her - Orchids and Peacock! After hearing that, it's like she knew exactly what I was envisioning. I couldn't help but get excited when she started throwing her ideas at us.

When we arrived at our reception all on the day of our wedding, she blind folded us as she escorted us into our main ballroom. The moment she took off our blind folds, we were in complete AWE! Being a perfectionist myself, I was amazed at how my vision was executed to nothing but perfection. Ivie definitely gave me the wedding I've always dreamed of. Our centerpieces were spectacular and my bouquet was perfect! During our meeting I had told her my wedding theme was Peacock and she definitely delivered that to me by surprising me with a 6 feet tall taxidermy peacock named George =) .... George definitely became the honorary guest of the evening and everyone loved him and made sure they didn't leave w/o taking a picture with him. To this day we miss George, I wish we were able to keep him =(

Hiring Ivie Joy was one of the best wedding decisions I made (other than marrying the love of my life!) From the moment I met her, I knew I had found someone who was genuine, passionate about her work, and most of all, a floral/design visionary.

When you hire Ivie, you are not hiring a florist - you are getting a full wedding space designer. She will deliver a holistic concept, leaving no details untouched and will make it seem so effortless. She has an amazing team who works seamlessly together and have fun pulling together the incredible and the awe-inspiring.

Ivie is capable of understanding a bride's vision and translating it into the language of flowers & decor to completely transform a space. She is easy to work with, versatile, and can deliver all types of styles, and all on a very transparent budget - what you see is what you get, and there are no hidden costs. In fact, I got so many EXTRAS that I didn't even dream of. My Rustic City Love Story theme was translated into a "Midsummer Night's Dream" wonderland with peonies, ranunculous, spray roses, and dahlias in shades of pink, blush, and cream. Every single arrangement was organic and distinct, evoking an indoor garden. Did i mention that Ivie's team also strung nearly 1000 paper cranes on a chuppah so we could be married under the blessing of our family and friends? I have no idea how she gets all of it done, but I can say that she is a magnificent floral GENIUS and someone I am now happy to call my friend!

From the moment I met with Ivie Joy, I knew she was the florist I wanted to use for my June 2013 wedding in Manhattan. I still met with a few other florists to do my "homework", but liked Ivie Joy the best. She was willing to work within my budget without sacrificing the integrity of the flowers. We also had a welcome/rehearsal dinner for all of our guests which fell on Swedish Midsummers Eve (my now husband is from Sweden) and Ivie Joy was able to create beautiful centerpieces which were reminiscent of traditional Swedish flowers. Ivie Joy is not only a talented experienced florist, but is friendly and easy to work with. She comes with an amazing team who will take care of all the details (she can also do more than just flowers like hanging lanterns and candy bars so be sure to ask!). I heard about Ivie JoyFlowers from my friend who got married last December. My fiance and I were working on a very tight deadline and put all our trust into Ivie's recommendations. I could tell from the time I met her and had our first consultation that she had the creativity, knowledge and imagination to conceptualize our wedding flowers. Ivie Joy is AMAZING and super professional and dependable. She made me feel so at ease even with the tight turnaround and the deliver and production of the flowers exceeded my expectations. She is an amazing and unique florist who knows how to customize for your event and so easy to work with. I got so many compliments from everyone about the vibrant colors and unique flowers she used for my center pieces and bouquet. She's truly a gem!

We just had our wedding at central park boathouse and Ivie Joy flowers made the event absolutely breathtaking. We had a jewish ceremony but my husband is indian, so i asked ivie to have vibrant colors at the wedding. The wedding was also in april so i wanted cherry blossoms. She was able to create something that completely blew me away. She took my ideas and turned them into something amazing that i wish i can look at everyday (can't wait for the pics). The chuppah was covered in cherry blossoms and the table center pieces were gorgeous arrangements of vibrant pinks, reds and oranges, with candles lighting up every table. Besides the fact that she is amazing, she is also professional, available, flexible and just overall a wonderful perfect to work with. I would recommend her 100%!

When Neil and I started planning our wedding last year, we knew without a doubt we had to reserve Ivie Joy Flowers. I personally had attended prior weddings and events that Ivie Joy had provided floral designs. And I'm always amazed by her creative and innovative work! Neil and I and our guests were just as impressed by her work for our wedding. We simply told her our wedding colors and style we wanted and left the rest to Ivie Joy. From the bridal party bouquets, to the church, to the reception...she made everything warm, inviting, and personalized. It's because of Ivie Joy our hotel reception venue was transformed into a romantic and whimsical setting. Ivie Joy was also a pleasure to work with, stress free and professional. Even when I had last minute requests. I highly recommend Ivie Joy Flowers!

Our wedding planner Lyna from KASAL NY introduced to me Ivie. We saw some photos of her work and I already knew she would be our florist for our wedding. My husband and I finally met with her and her style with flowers and detailed work in being a florist stylist made us know for sure she would be the ONE! She has an awesome personality and she knows her flowers! If you want a stylish wedding with flowers- then Ivie is your girl!

Ivie Joy gave us the wedding we thought we could only dream of. All she asked of us were ten words to describe how we imagined our wedding to be. And, that's all she needed. From our vibrantly gorgeous entourage flowers to our white winter wonderland reception, everything was perfect! With her being based in New York and us in Montreal, she never once made us feel uncomfortable during the planning and always assured us that everything would be phenomenal. She definitely keeps her word. Every time I see her work, it makes me want to get married all over again. She is truly gifted and a great person to top it off. Despite being extremely sick leading up to and during our wedding, she still managed to go above and beyond. Thank you Ivie Joy!

Montreal had never seen floral designs such as Ivie's. She made our wedding looked so FRESH and ELEGANT!! My bouquet looked like they were freshly hand-picked from her secret garden and she made sure it matches with my gown (not too attention-stealer but still look pretty). She gives more than 101%, making sure the bride and groom are happy, for example, my husband had a last minute request on a particular design for his boutonniere, with flowers that we don't know the name. So we sent her the picture, and voila, one happy groom! She has the talent for creating beautiful designs that we wouldn't even think possible. She's an encyclopedia of flowers, and will patiently explain what they are. Her designs gave such a big impact to the room, our centerpieces gave an everlasting memories to our guests and the staff of the hotel, (even received a compliment from the hotel receptionist on the next day). She'll deliver more than what you will expect, will design according to your themed or wedding ceremony customs, she wants to impress the couple and the guests. For floral designs, just her name says it it all, Ivie. She's made of talent, originality and amazing personality (very down-to-earth). Thank you sooo much Ivie, we love you.

In our first meeting, Ivie Joy asked me to come up with 10 words to describe my dream wedding. I decided on “Beautiful”, “Enchanting”, “Romantic”, “Colorful”, “Whimsical”, “Intimate”, “Elegant”, “Personal”, “Unforgettable” – and of course, “FUN”. Ivie Joy Flowers + Events delivered us all the above AND then some!

From the get-go, Ivie’s vision was right on point. Her proposal featured a vintage-inspired theme with a modern romantic twist, perfect for our taste. Her floral choices were vividly delicious – a perfect complement to our wedding venue on the beautiful island of Barbados. Throughout the process, Ivie was so easy to work with and her instinct is bar none. With very little guidance on our end, she magically created the most beautiful designs featuring fuchsia orchids, coral roses, blush anthuriums, cream hydrangeas, strands of crystals, hot pink feathers, English-style tea cans (homage to the groom’s heritage), paper parasols and satin details. Our decorative Chuppah (although neither of us are Jewish) was the envy of all the land!

I can go on and on about how wonderful Ivie is and how ALL my guests were astounded by the beauty of her creations but I think my husband said it best in his groom’s speech, “Ivie’s brilliance comes from her ability to really feel how her clients would express themselves if they were florists. So, the arrangements are Ivie Joy creations, but they come from her clients’ heart, which is what makes them so special ”.

Ivie Joy and her team did an amazing job at our wedding this past September. After months of meeting with different florists who gave me the same generic designs I was just about ready to settle until I heard back from Ivie Joy. My reception hall had large vaulted ceilings with dark wood paneling. It was very "old New York" and looked like a scene right out of Boardwalk Empire. I wanted my flowers to mesh the old world of the reception hall with the more modern feel of my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. When she created my proposal I was completely floored. She was able to envision exactly what I was trying to convey and I hired her right away!

Ivie Joy and her team arrived on time to our hotel suites with our personal flowers. I absolutely loved my bouquet and all of my bridesmaids agreed that the arrangements were the prettiest flowers they have seen at a wedding. Ivie Joy took the time to add personal touches to my bouquet, which included the "something old" for my wedding. When my husband and I walked into our reception hall, I was in awe of the work she had done. Even my husband, who left all the flower details to me, commented on how great the space now looked. We had tall crystal candelabras overflowing with vibrant flowers and tall pillar candles with beautiful flower arrangements weaved throughout. The height of our arrangements made the high vaulted ceilings feel more intimate. She had completely delivered on my old meets new concept. Ivie Joy's ability to understand an idea and deliver it flawlessly is unmatched. I feel so fortunate to have found her to do the flowers for my wedding. Her work transformed our venue into the wedding of our dreams. From the very first email to the goodbye at the end of the night, Ivie Joy was an pleasure to work with. She has such a passion for flowers and her love for what she does can be clearly seen. Thank you Ivie Joy for your amazing work!

First of all, we apologize for the delayed review. Got too caught up in the married life, haha.

Miss Ivie Joy is the REAL DEAL. Her ability to understand your vision and make it a reality is unmatchable. She gave us the wedding of our dreams, and we truly mean that. We were left smiling from ear to ear and in complete awe when we walked into our reception hall. Ivie really took the time to put our personalities and the things we love into everything from the flowers & table arrangements, to the seating chart. And though we know the photos of her work are indeed beautiful, nothing compares to seeing it in person. It's been about 3 months since our wedding and we still hear from friends, "Omg, the flowers were so amazing! I've never seen a wedding like that. It was so you!" We have Ivie to thank for that.

One of the greatest things about Ivie is the fact that she is unbelievably kind, and so very down to earth. When you meet her, you know she's not trying to schmooze you or that she is putting up some sort of facade. She talks to you like you've known her for years while still remaining professional and confident about her work. With Ivie, we not only got to work with the best event designer out there, we also made a life long friend.

Ivie, we cannot continue to thank you for making our dream wedding become a reality. You are such a wonderful, talented, and giving individual and we are so blessed to know you.

Wow. Just, wow!
Never would we have expected such creative, sexy, elegant, colorful, endlessly interesting and absolutely beautiful flower arrangements!
What Ivie Joy and her team can do with flowers, centerpieces and lucite structures is truly ART!
Based on the feedback we have had from our guests so far, we may never hear the end of how gorgeous Ivie Joy's work was!
The professional and even casual photographs reflect the amazing talent behind the floral work, and while showing our wedding pictures to friends and family, many jaws dropped at the sight of such awesomeness.
Although much more could be said about the floral work, this review needs only to be very short: if you don't hire Ivie Joy Flowers & Events, you are making a big, big mistake; hire her team, and your event will be more amazing than you ever expected.

Ivie was truly a joy to work with! She was very knowledgeable, and was able to come up with a floral design/vision after our meeting, which was very impressive. She is open to suggestions, and gives great advice as to what works/might not work. She is very accessible, which is great for last minute brides like me, who tend to come up with ideas at random. The day of, she was there to make sure that everything goes according to plan. The flowers were delivered fresh and clearly-marked to make distribution easier. I look forward to working with Ivie Joy Flowers + Events for future get-togethers, and will not hesitate to recommend her wonderful services to friends and family.

Iviejoy was a pleasure to work with. She listened to all my ideas, including my aunt and mother. We changed concepts twice. She was always receptive to the vision we wanted to create. She was very patient, professional, and friendly. It is clear that she wants to make a bride's day perfect. She is very creative and great at executing. We used Ivie Again for our wedding (engagement party last year) and her vision, creativity and execution is impeccable. We cannot imagine our destination wedding in Barcelona without her. She brings romanticism alive through the quality of her work and love for beauty!

Working with Ivie Joy was an amazing experience. I don't really know flowers, so I just told her I wanted white flowers. She showed us samples of her work to get a feel for what styles we liked and didn't like.
About 5 months before our wedding, Ivie visited our church and reception venue in San Diego. Then about 3 months later, I went with her to pick which flowers I liked in person. I didn't really know their names when we started, so I was just pointing. But by the end of it, I knew that I liked ranunculus, stocks, sweet peas, hydrangeas, etc. She also took me to pick out the linens and vases. Ivie put together a few samples for me and took pictures to send to my husband on the west coast. We both loved how they turned out, and we got really excited to see what the flowers would look like at our wedding.
Since Ivie is based in New York, I knew that a destination wedding would be challenging. But I also knew that she had done several of those, so I wasn't worried. Her team worked really well together, and they were so hardworking. They were really fast and efficient and so very nice too. The flowers were amazing. One of her assistants told me that they had about 20 different kinds of flowers and greens.
On the day of the wedding we were blown away. The flowers in the church were so elegant. The bouquets were beautiful and smelled good too. When we got to the reception, we kind of knew what to expect because we had seen the samples, but we were just oohing and aahing over everything. The centerpieces were different because Ivie had added large orchids, hanging down from the candelabras, and they were gorgeous. The guestbook table that greeted us was amazing and it just got better from there. The cake table was simple and elegant. The escort card table was jaw-dropping. It was just beyond words.
All our guests were telling us how beautiful the flowers were. Several of them told me, "Best wedding ever!" And a few girls wanted Ivie to do their weddings too.
Ivie is so pleasant and easy to work with. All I told her for the flowers was "fluffy, white flowers," and she gave us gorgeous flowers beyond anything we could have imagined. It was like she knew what I would like even though that was all I could articulate. She is so hardworking, and she puts a lot of care into her work. Her team was great too; they were very much in sync. Highly recommended!

Ivie and Liz were extremely responsive, prompt, and incredibly creative with their ideas. We didn't know our actual vision and had a general idea of East and West coast but didn't know what we wanted until we actually saw the beauty that Ivie and her team created. The bouquets were beautiful, the centerpieces were lush, and all the guests could not stop talking about how the decor made the venue come to life. Battery Gardens is beautiful already but with Ivie Joy's touch, our wedding was a dream come true.

Ivie Joy did an amazing job with our flowers. The proposal process was a little tedious but that's because of all the details and a little problem with version control. Sometimes changes would appear on one version but not on a later one. On the actual day, the centerpieces, bouquets, sweetheart table, and all the reception flowers were stunning and magical. Really the most beautiful from any wedding I've seen. We received countless compliments and it exceeded even my expectations. We had hanging glass globes with lights and flowers that were so beautiful and unique even guys said they wanted to take them home. We paid a premium price, but I wanted the flowers to make a statement, so for us it was worth every penny. The quality of the blossoms they used were the best. Amazing color and so full and healthy. Just a couple criticisms. The personal flowers arrived over an hour late. The groomsmen were already boarding the limo for the ceremony at the church. The bouquets arrived as we finished getting ready and were leaving for photos. This meant the photographer could not get any shots of them in the boxes fresh or on the groomsmen while they were getting ready. Also, the groomsmen boutonnières and flowering branches for the altar displays were wilted. These might be small details but noticeable especially in close up shots. I really loved everything else especially the reception displays. They really were beautiful and glamorous, and I know the team worked very hard. Just wish they had been on time with the personals delivery and that all the flowers were fresh.

Ivie is lovely ! We had a in-person meeting to carefully discuss the venue, our vision and themes. She came back with a proposal that clearly stated her understanding in terms of execution. She is very sweet - and easy to talk to. We had a few revisions - and she also showed me examples of her work at the venue before the event, so I knew exactly what arrangements / placements will be made on my wedding day. Am happy to recommend her - to anyone who is looking for professionalism with a dose of sweetness.

Ivie was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her to other brides. She was super flexible and willing to work with me on fitting the flowers to our budget as well as tailoring them to the overall feel of our wedding and the venue. As I'm not someone who is very knowledgeable about flowers, I felt that she was a professional who could come up with a vision and execute it - and this was validated many times over, because the way she decorated our venue was even more spectacular than what we had discussed. She was very impressive!

Prepare to be disappointed.

Because I have always loved florals, hiring a great florist was one of the aspects of my wedding planning I was most excited about. Based on Ivie's social media and website, my husband and I were looking forward to working with her for our wedding. Throughout the planning process, she was minimally responsive to emails, which should have been a red flag. However, when we went to her studio to see what our wedding florals would look like, we were very happy with the centerpieces and arrangements she had created. On the day of our wedding, we could not have been more disappointed in the quality of the flowers. Despite the gorgeous weather, they were wilted upon arrival. Likewise, the centerpieces were sparse and incomparable to what we had seen at her studio. My bridal bouquet and the bouquets for my bridesmaids were much smaller than I had requested and did not at all look like the bouquets I had discussed with her and shown her photos of. Worst of all, we paid for expensive greenery installations throughout our tent, and her team installed inexpensive vines that were completely different than what she showed us in her studio. They did not even cover areas of the tent that we had paid for. We wasted a large sum of money on flowers that lacked quality and care. Based on her Instagram posts of big, lush installations on the day of our wedding, it was clear that our wedding was an afterthought. Thankfully, every other vendor we hired for our wedding was fantastic, so we were able to overlook the very disappointing quality that Ivie provided on our wedding day. I would not recommend this poor level of service to other couples.

The worse customer service ever!!!!! Very sloppy business practices!!!!

For me to write a negative review of a business, takes a lot! I was so crushed because I really liked their work and they seemed to be very familiar with my venue space from what I saw on their website. This was absolutely a worse customer service I have ever experienced. I was so shocked this was an established business. It took them 3 days to get back to my initial email. I responded and never got a response, so I sent another email. Ivie was apologetic and said that it got accidentally lost in their Spam emails. Again, really wanting to work with them, I proceeded to have a phone consultation with Ivie which was great and promising. Afterward, I sent them my Pinterest board and a follow-up email for them to use in creating their proposal plan for my wedding. It was Thanksgiving week and I understand how busy they were. I waited until the Tuesday after Thanksgiving because I hadn't even received an email saying they got my last email. I texted Ivie because she gave me her number to eliminate any further confusion. She responded that she lost her phone over the holiday weekend. She asked that I giver some extra time because of the holidays for the my proposal plan. I still am waiting for the proposal which she promised to have to me over a week ago without a single piece of communication from them. I have been more then generous with my time and patience. I am so glad I did not proceed with my time or business with Ivie Joy.

What advice would I give a couple interested in using this vendor? DON'T EVEN BOTHER. They are a huge waste of time and will just make you find and hire another vendor anyway.

I had an initial telephone conversation with someone at IJ and they sent me an email quotation, which was reasonable given the arrangements I wanted. We then had an in-person meeting with Ivy at my fiancé's office in Manhattan and went over more specifics. Ivy said she would like to come see the space (the mansion at Douglaston Manor) for a walk-through before providing to a finalized price. We agreed to a date and met her (assistant in tow) at the venue a few weeks later. After we waled through the venue and reviewed the event's needs, Ivy said she would have another quote ready in two days . . . . . .and that was the last we ever heard from her.

I emailed the company a few days later to follow up. My fiancé then emailed her again the following week. Nothing. No reply, no call, no apology, no courtesy notification. She just disappeared, wasting several weeks of my time and requiring me to begin serious negotiations with another vendor I'd been considering, As anyone planning a wedding knows this is entirely unacceptable, not to mention grossly unprofessional, behavior.

I would recommend that anyone coordinating an event of this scale look elsewhere. I have read other reviews where this company has behaved in an identical manner. I've also read several reviews that seemed to find their work satisfactory. But what good is the promise of decent flowers, when there's always the chance that the provider will simply blow you off without even the decency of an email? DON'T USE THEM.

Ivie was recommended to us through a family member who really enjoyed working with her. My mom, fiance, and I met her at our venue and we had a great conversation - I really enjoyed her vision for our wedding and we were ready to work with her. However, after a brief email exchange, she totally disappeared. She was not responsive to emails, missed scheduled phone calls despite many attempts to reschedule, and totally ignored my follow up emails. It was so disappointing and unprofessional.
