Wedding Cake

Iversen's did a beautiful job on our wedding cake. It looked amazing and we received many compliments on the flavors! Everyone at Iversen's was so friendly and helpful!! They customized one of our cake flavors (lemon and blueberry cake) which was a big hit with our guests from NE! Rhonda truly went above and beyond to help us plan from out of state. She even arranged for a take-home tasting while we were in town. We HIGHLY recommend Iversen's to anyone getting married in metro-Detroit.

Iversen's Bakery is hands-down the best cake I've ever had! Gina made the process fun and easy, and we really enjoyed our tasting, which was included at no additional cost to our cake. Once we'd tried their cake, we knew that was the place to go.

Gina was so thoughtful and helped us find an option for what we wanted that still fit within our budget, and the cake itself exceeded our expectations. We were allowed to select three combinations of cake and filling, and our guests absolutely loved getting to try the different flavors available.

Zero issues with delivery (that I was made aware of), communication was top notch. I would highly recommend Iversen's Bakery to anyone!

Enjoyed the cake tasting and reasonable prices. Guests couldn't stop raving about how FRESH and DELICIOUS the lemon cake with Raspberry Preserves and Bahvarian Cream filling was! Beautiful decorations and super easy to work with, as long as you come with good communication and ideas. :)

We loved working with Gina! She was very friendly, and she was very easy to work with. Gina made our cake look awesome! One thing I was nervous about was how the cake would look based on the descriptions we gave her on what we liked. Our cake looked amazing on our wedding day! She was able to make the cake exactly how we wanted, and the cake tasted amazing too! We tried other bakeries, but we thought they were the best price for the value!

Iversens cakes are not only GORGEOUS, but they are so delicious too! they really helped me figure out the best deal when it came to using fake layers with a sheet cake, vs. round cakes vs. cupcakes. i changed my mind a few times about what i wanted the cake to look like and I ended up showing them three cakes i liked on pinterest and then they made it come to life. even the cake tasting was wonderful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We worked with Rhonda, for my Daughter's wedding cake. We went with the Purple Velvet cake, which was amazing! The venue where we had the reception was also commenting on the cake stating how unique it was!. It tasted delicious and looked amazing. I would highly recommend!

Gina at Iversen's was the best! She removed my stress, helped me find solutions, and did exactly what I wanted! Our cake was perfect, the cupcakes and cookies were superb. Everything was spot-on, professional, and service was above-and-beyond. Gorgeous looks and extremely tasty... I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Our wedding cake was DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL! Iverson's was great to work with from start to finish. Gina is so helpful during the cake tasting process and provides input on design ideas. Other bakeries in the area told me the 1920's art deco fan was impossible (and insanely expensive) to create with fondant but Gina had absolutely no problem creating this design. We also used Iverson's to bake cookies for my bridal shower -- everyone loved them! Thank you Iverson's!

Working with Rhonda at Iversens was a complete pleasure. She is a true professional, and was committed to making sure my daughter's wedding cake was perfect. She even duplicated monogram artwork from the wedding invitation on to a fondant disc! Who knew?! The spice cake was light and delicious, the buttercream icing everything you want in an old-fashioned rich icing. This is a long time gem of a bakery in Dearborn, and for good reason!

My husband and I contracted Iverson's to make our wedding cake. When we showed up for our consultation Gina greeted us with cake samples and a lot of folders to look through with colors and cake examples. She also discussed ways to save us money and worked with our budget. We liked this bakery so much we also had them make the cupcakes for the bridal shower! All the samples were amazing and very flavorful (my favorite was the lemon cake with cream cheese buttercream). Our cake for our wedding was so beautiful. It had intricate line-work and gum paste flowers that looked exactly like the picture I showed them. I highly recommend this bakery and I know that I will be ordering from them again in the future.

We used Iversen's Bakery for our wedding cake. The cake was beautiful and looked exactly like we wanted it. The cake was delivered on time and set up beautifully. We chose a four tiered cake that we served as dessert. The top tier and the 3rd tier were real, the 2nd and 4th tiers were faux. The remainder of the cake were sheet cakes in the kitchen which the guests did not see. The cake was delicious and a great choice for dessert! We have used Iversen's for years for birthday cakes and we are so glad we used them for our wedding cake!

The cake they made was PERFECT! I really didn't know what I wanted my wedding cake to look like, but I gave them a few ideas and the cake turned out way better than I could have imagined! They were very friendly and patient. I would definitely recommend them!

We had an OUTSTANDING experience with Iversen's. The service was outstanding. Rhonda was our designer and baker and she was with us from start to finish. Being an out of town bride, it really helped to have dedicated people assist with the day. We married on a Sunday (holiday weekend) and they did not hesitate to accomodate us. The taste of the cake was AMAZING. We were very happy and would recommend them to anyone.

The people that work here were so nice and willing to work with any budget. The cakes were so delicious people are still talking about it. The manager assisted us in designing our own cake and it came out beautiful.

After visiting other bakeries in the area, we ordered our wedding cake from Iverson's and were extremely happy.

SERVICE: We had a consultation appointment with Gina and were extremely pleased. We were able to sit down, and were offered coffee and/or soft drinks. We were also able to sample ANY flavor cake that interested us; and at the end of the session, Gina suggested that if we thought about any other flavors that we would like to sample once we got home, we should give her a call and she would have the additional samples available for us. We left the session with miniture cakes of the flavors we selected (lemon on 2 layers and chocolate on the others). Gina was very knowledgeable, and was able to guide us in gettting a four layer cake with pillars on our tight budget. Our wedding was on September 4, 2010 which was the weekend of Gina's birthday, but Gina assured us that she would be working throughout her birthday. Thanks Gina!

TASTE: Every flavor we sampled of Iverson's cakes was delicious. It was hard to choose. They were so moist and so good. Gina mixed 2 flavors of fillings together which included the Barvarian cream, and it was fantastic! Who knew wedding cakes could actually taste good in addition to looking good. I was actually able to enjoy my wedding cake. Iversen's must be using only natural ingredients. My sensitive taste buds could tell. Our wedding guests and our wedding coordinator also complimented us on the cake.

Iverson's is beyond 5 stars!!!

I wish I could give Iversen's Bakery ten stars!!! Our cake designer Gina was absolutely wonderful. She took our vision well beyond our expectations. the cake for our July 31, 2011 wedding was not only beautiful but delicious. There was not even a crumb left. She even made a cookie monster groom's cake with a cigar that my husband just loved. Don't hesitate about Iversen's Bakery you will not be disappointed and your guests will be talking about your cake well after the wedding.

Absolutely fabulous wedding cake and service!!!! We had a very specific request of having my grandmother's frosting on our cake. Gina went ABOVE and BEYOND to make the perfect frosting that tasted just like grandma's. My guests are still complimenting us on our wedding cake and everyone has been asking where we got the cake. We say IVERSENS!! I won't go anywhere else for my cake needs. They were the only bakery I could find that would work with us on our very specific request. My family was so touched that we had a part of grandma at the wedding. It really meant a lot to us! Thank you Iversens and Gina! You made my day extra special!!

We ordered a yellow lemon rapberry cake with whipped cream as opposed to buttercream frosting. It was absolutely delicious!! They used fresh raspberries and preserves in the layers. We did get a "fake cake" for the cake cutting (with buttercream frosting which is more stable in hot temps) as the real cake was being sliced for the guests. It worked out great for us. We were very pleased.

Our wedding cake we went through them for was AMAZING. It was a topsy turvy style done in bright pink, yellow, and orange and couldn't have turned out any better. We went with the option of having most of it be fake so we had more flavor options and I would highly recommend going that way if you're considering it, no one could tell and were amazed when they found out. We also had it done in butter creme instead of fondant and unless you were touching it you couldn't tell the difference.They were very accommodating and skilled. Plus, they're baked goods are delicious.

I had a wonderful experience with Iverson's Bakery. Their very first question to me was "What do you want your cake to look like?" They took their time with me to make sure thay designed a cake that I would love. And sure enough, on my wedding day I was brought to tears when I finally got a chance to see it. The cake was extremely beautiful and was so much more than I dreamed of. Not to mention the cake tasted delicious!! It is a little expensive but in my opinion, it's worth every penny!!!

Gina is awesome! My wedding cake was beautiful and it was so delicious. Everyone said that it was so tasty and was much better than other cakes or wedding cakes they had tasted before. They have great prices and offer a selection of samples that still have my taste buds jumping to this day!
Highly recommended for wedding cakes, cookies, treats, anything that you wish to satisfy your sweet tooth with. Wonderful place!!!

Iversen's Bakery was wonderful! They worked with me several times to get just what I wanted. The cake was beautiful and more importantly it tasted great! I have had several compliments about our cake and how moist and yummy it was.

Iversen's was referred to me by my sister in law who was married 9 years before me. Her parents used them 40 years ago. They were all at the wedding and said how amazing the cake still was. I would never go anywhere else after my experience with Iversen's!

Gina is an amazing wedding cake designer! Iversen's was very easy to work with every step of the way, from the initial tasting meeting to the final details. Gina was incredibly accommodating working with my ideas and vision. She even added elements to the design that I would have never thought of. When I saw our wedding cake on the day of, it looked even more beautiful then I imagined. It was definitely an attention grabber. Everyone raved about how wonderful it tasted. We also had a pie table and Gina baked 30 fresh pies the morning of the wedding. She was willing to do any and every flavor I wanted, no questions asked. I'm very picky about pie and hands down, they were the best pies I've ever had. They were also very well priced and worked with our budget. Thank you again for making this part of our wedding extra special and tasty! We cant wait for our one year anniversary cake!

Gina designed a beautiful cake for us. She was great at offering suggestions at our final appointment. The cake tasted wonderful. They provided us with 3 small cakes to sample and take home when originally choosing and also with give us a small cake on our anniversary so we do not have to freeze ours.

Gina at Iversen's was awesome! Very helpful and willing to make whatever samples we wanted. She even brought out more flavors for our tasting.

Iversen's makes delicious cakes. THe only thing is they are pretty expensive. You do not get a lot of value here, but they are known for their frosting. I had no trouble with them at all, other than their hours. They are only open until 4pm on Weekdays, which makes it quite hard to just "stop in".
They are professional when it comes to making an appt. They are appointment only and you cannot get in unless you make arrangements.
