Amazing display, amazing taste!

Our cake was absolutely gorgeous! The vendor did an incredible job on the cherry blossom design we requested, and with adding all the decorations we wanted! And it tastes amazing! So many cake places seem to focus just on the design, but It's a Piece of Cake brought the flavor too! Thank you!

It was so fun tasting the cakes and they made it so easy! The delivery was quick and easy. I liked being able to call and make any changes whenever i needed to. easy and great to work with. amazing and yummy cake!

We had a three tier cake with different flavors. Our guests loved it! They even said we didn't need to save the top tier as they will make us a new one for our anniversary!

It's a piece of cake is a delicious bakery. I discovered their delicious cakes at a baby shower that I went to. I knew I wanted that bakery for my wedding cake. I went in for a tasting a fell in love with the friendly staff. My wedding cake was three different flavors. All were delicious and my guest could not get enough.

All of the guests were raving about how yummy my wedding cake was!! A lot of my friends were saying this is absolutely the best wedding cake they have ever had! I was super happy about the cake, thank you It's a piece of cake!!!

One of the best parts of wedding planning is the cake tasting by far. We went to many bakerys and when we finally went to It's a piece of cake we totally fell in love. The cake was by far the best cake I've ever tasted in my life. My favorite was the lemon flavor. Please do yourself a favor and go and try their cakes, the cakes taste and look amazing!

This is the one element of my wedding (aside from the groom) that I managed to get EXACTLY right. I can't emphasise enough how great this bakery is.

They worked with me on a very unsual design for my cake (I was married late November and had an autumnal theme, complete with jack-o-lanterns with heart cut outs and fall leaves). My cake was gorgeous and more important--it was delicious. At $7 per serving it was also affordable. They were just fantastic all around. Total pros. They even did a mini cake for me on our anniversary with the same theme. Great bakery.

We looooove our cake! The cake we got is actually part of our wedding package with Hornblower Cruises and Events. It's a 3-layer cake which was good for 60 to 80 people. The staff at It's A Piece A Cake were very patient and helpful. They're also very flexible. Since my husband and I couldn't figure out what flavor to get, they let us pick out a different flavor for every layer of our cake. Our guests had fun trying out each and every layer. We chose chocolate, strawberries and cream and lemon-raspberry. We also chose whipped cream icing instead of fondant. The cake was divine, moist and not too sweet!

We had visited a few bakery's before we went to It's a piece of cake. We were less than disappointed with the others. When We went in to its a piece of cake we saw beautiful cakes all over the store. Birthday cakes, wedding cakes, baby shower cakes etc. They were all so nice. Catherine brought us several types of cake to taste. We enjoyed the flavors. We decided on a chocolate cake with white chocolate filling. She gave us books to look through to find a style of cake we liked. I had brought a few pictures of cakes I had seen and liked from the web. I showed the photos to Catherine and explained what I wanted. She said no problem we can do that. I felt very comfortable with her and ordered the cake. I called about a month before the wedding just to confirm, they had the order and guaranteed they would be at the club by 12:30 the day of the wedding. They arrived right on time and the cake was BEAUTIFUL!!! better than I wanted or imagined it would be! Everyone enjoyed the cake and many said it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! I appreciate all of there hard work! I will go back to have an anniversary cake done.

Their cake definitely matched our taste buds. We did a cake tasting at multiple bakeries, finding the right sweetness, richness and freshness of the cake. Next, we ensure the pricing matched our budget and the quality we are looking for. It's A Piece A Cake is the one! We ordered our wedding cake here. Four flavors of deliciousness, french bavarian for 2-tier cake, and 3 sheet cakes (mango mousse, tiramisu and black forest). Their portions are definitely much bigger than other places, their prices lower for the quality of cake you purchase and they are very open with your decor ideas. The only reason I knocked off a half star, the delivery is more expensive than what I want to pay for; $150. BUT, our venue was at Jamul so we of course still paid for the convenience. Also, they do not decorate with real flowers so best to have your florist do that task. Overall, we would definitely recommend this bakery, not just for a wedding but also other events requiring something sweet.

My husband and I both LOVED how our wedding cake turned out. It was moist, delicious, and gorgeous!!! Staff was friendly and very helpful.

The cake itself was fantastic, very tasty and exactly what we wanted. I recommend this bakery for quality alone. I gave 4 stars because delivery charges more than doubled the cost and when I tried to change the delivery time 30 minutes later (I had mis-read my venue contract), they refused. It worked out in the end since my venue was very accommodating. It's still one of the very best cakes I've ever had, I would just recommend transporting it yourself.

I had brought in MANY pictures of the cake I wanted. I saw my cake on the wedding day and it was NOTHING like I wanted. It was ugly and I hated it. Would not buy a wedding cake here. The cake itself tasted great, but the overall design was UGLY!!!! and nothing like i wanted!!!

MIA day of wedding and failed to deliver cake

We ordered a wedding cake and they never delivered it and went completely MIA the day of. We made all payments needed and confirmed delivery date/time multiple times. It is completely unprofessional to run a bakery and not follow through on a wedding cake order.
