Most perfect venue!!
Hands down best decision we made (before the decision to get married haha) was choosing Island way for our venue. We wanted our wedding not on the beach but a place where we could see the water and we went there and knew this was the place. Amber was so amazing through the whole process and made sure everything was perfect. She knows what she is doing and we would have been lost without her. The whole team was beyond amazing! Our guests could not get over that they were able to get steak and lobster tail at a wedding! Number one thing is the food is not like any other wedding food. Our guests were able to relax and order and not one person had a complaint. The staff made sure my husband and I were eating and drinking water and went above and beyond. The price is amazing for what you get!

Amber and Island Way Grill made our day absolutely perfect! Not only did her team set up the entire venue, but she made the ceremony and reception run perfectly. We had so many compliments on the food and the venue was fantastic. We would definitely recommend for an outdoor ceremony and inside reception. The sunset is breathtaking! -

Our wedding was absolutely perfect!
It was truly a perfect night that would not have been possible without Amber and the staff at the Island Way Grill. We had family come in from Chicago and NY, and everyone was blown away by the food, the setting, and our service. We received so many compliments; over a dozen people told me it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. IWG made it all possible. They provided guest shuttles, they took care of setup and breakdown, they provided a lovely ceremony space for free, they added amazing decorations (they brought in an ACTUAL BOAT into the reception hall as a raw bar for a sea-themed wedding!) and they served as day-of coordinators. Best prices around too! We had top-shelf open bar, a full food spread and a dessert bar for 70+ people on a Saturday night and paid less than $11,000 for all of it. Honestly the best spread I’ve ever had at at a wedding. Every bite of food and every drink was incredible. If you don’t start your venue search here, you are missing out. We couldn’t have had a better wedding experience. Thank you again to everyone at the IWG for our perfect night! -

Amber at Island Way was wonderful to work with. The room was perfect and the food was outstanding, as was the service. They took care of everything and it all came out perfect. I had several seating changes at the last minute due to cancellations and Amber was patient and worked with me to make sure everything went smoothly. So many of our guests complimented the food. For the price for steak and lobster at Island Way, other venues wanted to charge just as much or more for chicken. We are VERY pleased with our decision to have our cocktail hour and wedding reception here. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or other party. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience then the one we had at Island Way. -
Alix Sent on 05/27/2018We could not have been more pleased with the Island Way Grill, Amber, and her staff. Our reception was literally better than we imagined because of Amber and her team. We were in close communication with Amber about 3 months before the wedding date. She was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and understanding of our many requests and wishes throughout the entire planning process and made it all happen without a hitch! The venue was set up exactly how we imagined and discussed, but somehow more beautiful. The staff helped set up the decorations and tables, and even boxed them up for us at the end of the night. The food was exactly what we wanted, but tastier and came out in perfect time. Our guests were commenting on how this was the best menu they had ever seen at a wedding, and the some of the best food they ever had, period. They even boxed up our leftover cake at the end of the night for us to take home. The drinks/cocktails were delicious and kept everyone happy all night. The servers and all the staff were so delightful and friendly and really wanted to make sure we were having a great time—and we absolutely did. We love the Island Way Grill and would recommend this venue to any couple who is looking for a beautiful reception space (we used the tiki deck), delicious food and beverages, and an incredibly professional and flexible team to work with!

Kerry Sent on 07/08/2016We had our rehearsal dinner on Friday April 22nd at Island Way grille, which initially was planned for the outside deck. Without our fabulous two servers, we would not have been able to make the smooth transition inside-minutes before a storm rolled in! We cannot say enough about how FANTASTIC and professional our 2 servers were. I apologize for not remembering their names, but hope they get the recognition they both TRULY deserve! Both were very attentive, and our male server was in constant communication with us about the possible storm and did everything to make sure we were both happy and at ease. They handled our large party of 30 guests fabulously, and continued to do so after having to move us all inside! On top of the service, the food was absolutely outstanding. We had no concerns about having our destination wedding rehearsal dinner at Island Way, after eating dinner there the year before while visiting. We knew our guests would be getting a five star meal, and they were all so impressed by the service and food! The shuttle service was on time and helped us get all of our out of town guests there without any hassle. We are so grateful of the wonderful service and would recommend your location to anyone planning an event or looking for a fabulous meal on the water! -

Lauren Sent on 06/07/2012We can't say enough good things about Sheri and her staff. They made our day absolutely perfect, easy and enjoyable! The Island Way Grill is a beautiful restaurant, and it photographed amazingly. The staff was fast, polite and efficient and nothing we or our guests asked for was too much trouble. They absolutely went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed ourselves-anything we wanted, they provided it. All of our guests are still commenting how much fun our wedding was, how great the food tasted and how fantastic the location was.
I would very strongly recommend the Island Way Grill to anyone considering a wedding on Clearwater Beach. We toured other venues that were 3x as expensive and not half as nice- and we are still thrilled with our decision to have our wedding with them. We brought in favors, place cards, guest book tags, a chalkboard and other accessories for the cocktail hour and reception and Sheri & co had everything set up exactly like we wanted down to the smallest details and we weren't nickel and dimed for the setup. Sheri was extremely knowledgable and made helpful recommendations we would have overlooked. She truly knows how to make an event perfect and was so helpful we didn't even need to hire an event coordinator, as she oversaw everything herself. Five stars and two thumbs way up! -

I fave them a budget and they provided and plated meal with appetizers and an open bar. They also provided very nice shuttles from the ceremony site and the restaurant. Every one was very polite and the restaurant was GORGEOUS. It was difficult to find a place strictly online, but they were the most responsive and easiest venue to work with. -

The Island Way is a favorite restaurant of ours to visit and we knew that we would receive the highest quality service from them for our wedding reception too! We had a destination wedding in florida and we were concerned because we only had 30 guests but the Island Way was the way to go! The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and we held our reception on the private tiki deck which is beautiful! With all the light and candles and the view of the harbor it was just stunning! Every guest commented on how courteous the staff there was and how amazing the decor and how absolutely delicious the food was! We were amazing with how reasonable everything was! Any request we made was granted with no hesitation either! I would recommend the Island Way Grill to anyone and everyone!!! -

The guests raved about the food which was one of the most important parts of our wedding to us. Even our pickiest eaters cleaned their plates & everyone was complimenting about their meals. They were incredible! I docked a star because during the planning they were a little difficult with communicating. Turns out the woman I was working with primarily was on maternity leave so my emails weren’t replied to at all. I ended up just calling back and leaving a message for the woman who would be taking over the planning and she got back to me within a day. All in all, the wedding night, beautiful ceremony and the wonderful staff helping with our night made up for any difficulties I had; and they did take care of everything for me so I highly recommend Island Way! Everyone was blown away! -

Meian Sent on 11/07/2014Island Way Grill was the ideal location for our rehearsal dinner since we were getting married on Clearwater Beach and most of our guests were staying right on the beach. We worked with Amber as our catering manager and she was very helpful in helping us select the menu option for that night. We were in the back room, semi-private with a great view of the water.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, is that I found the appetizer portions to not be enough for the table and some of the items to be cold. We had options for the main course, but most of our guests got the surf and turf. And, I have to say they were able to cook my steak exactly how I liked it. The overall taste was superb and the presentation was spectacular. The wait staff was attentive made sure that our guests were never empty handed. Again, received many compliments that night on the location of the venue and the taste of the food. -

Gabrielle Sent on 05/07/2013Island Way Grill is perfect for that Florida Beach wedding, minus the beach. The venue is absolutely stunning. You do not need a whole lot of decor for this place, because it is naturally beautiful on its own. Sheri is the GM there and was very sweet. It was hard to get ahold of her in the beginning and seemed like the best form of communication was via email. Towards the end of the wedding, I worked with Brian and Amber and they really did make our dreams come true! They did everything to make sure we were happy. I would highly recommend using this venue. The staff was great, atmosphere was wonderful and the food is FANTASTIC!! Everyone loved it and had a blast.
