Ironclad was the most perfect venue for our recent wedding. Not only is it absolutely stunning inside and out but the staff is absolutely amazing. The in house coordinator Danyel is a gem and will do absolutely anything to make your day perfect. The bartenders were so sweet and the owner is the nicest guy around. If you are hesitant JUST BOOK IT! you will absolutely 100% not regret having this gorgeous venue for your special day. I could not recommend Ironclad more! -

Best Day Ever!
We had the most perfect day for our wedding. Annette was very helpful and accomodating. The whole experience was everything we wanted it to be. The staff working the event were also pleasant and patient. The venue is pretty turn-key and we would definitely recommend it to others. It was everything we imagined and more! -

Beautiful, Rustic Venue
We hosted our son and daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at the Iron Clad. It is a beautiful, rustic venue. Annette was very helpful with planning & making recommendations. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with the set up and throughout the evening. Our guest were very pleased and gave many compliments! -

The perfect wedding reception venue!!
We had our wedding ceremony at a church and our reception at Ironclad Brewery downtown. It was the exact brewery aesthetic we were looking for! It was great for guests too as it was walkable to the hotels downtown. We had a big after party at Pour Taproom (1 block from Ironclad) and it all turned out so well! We used a wedding planner which made all the coordination stress free so we could just enjoy the day. The Ironclad staff was fantastic and we had the night of our lives! -

Ironclad was amazing for my wedding! Wouldn’t have changed a thing!
Rachel and Annette were amazing!! Rachel was super helpful during the whole wedding planning process. Even on the day of my wedding, they both went above and beyond and help set up, clean up, etc. Which is something they definitely didn’t have to do! they didn’t even let me help them clean up because they wanted me to be stress free. Also, the price point and everything that was included in that price, was amazing. I could go on and on about how great the whole experience was. I highly recommend ironclad to any and all friends that are hosting any type of event soon. -

From start to finish we had an incredible experience. We are from out of state so planning our wedding during a pandemic and from afar was challenging. Rachel guided and supported us the whole time. We loved everything about this venue. Our ceremony was beautiful and it was so convenient to be able to walk right outside immediately after to take photos with our families in front of the big beautiful doors. Rachel and her team seamlessly transitioned the space from the ceremony to cocktail hour, to dinner then back downstairs for more drinks, dancing and dessert. Our guests came to Wilmington from all over the country and were so impressed with how beautiful the space was and how fun and kind the staff was. Everything turned out even better than we imagined. We would absolutely recommend Ironclad Brewery to anyone. -

The Best Experience
Ironclad Brewery was absolute perfection! We're so happy that we went with this venue for our big day and we highly recommend them. First off, the value for the space is amazing. Because we were able to save on our venue, we were able to put that extra money towards the photographer/ videographer that we really wanted which was Anchor & Veil. The building has so much character to it, which is nice because you really don't have to do much to decorate it. We also loved that it was unique compared to other cookie cutter wedding venues. This venue also offers the best bar menu including whatever beers they have on tap at the time. The location in Downtown Wilmington can't be beat. It was helpful for out of town guests to be able to have everything within walking distance. Guests could easily make it a weekend getaway enjoying all that Wilmington has to offer. This venue does not have a bride suite and groom suite so we used Ambiance Salon and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, which I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to get married here. Rachel the event coordinator was so great to work with. She was professional and quick with her responses. We got married in October of 2020 and they were super flexible with us as we made so many last minute changes due to Covid. Looking back on our wedding day, I wouldn't change a thing. Ironclad Brewery was the perfect setting for our special day and their staff absolutely rocked it. -

Absolutely Perfect
I can’t recommend them enough! Rachel and her team at Ironclad made our day amazing. Not only was she available to help throughout Covid-19 to ease my stress but through the entire process of planning. It was beautiful and the venue speaks for itself. It’s got a rustic and industrial feel that can’t be matched! -

When my husband and I started the planning process for our wedding, we were pretty overwhelmed! When we found Ironclad, we knew right off the bat that that's where we wanted to have our ceremony/reception :) I honestly don't think we could have picked a better venue! Rachel was AMAZING and she and the whole team went above and beyond for us during the entire process. They were so helpful and made everything so easy for us. They were responsive and if I needed to meet with Rachel she made it happen. Ironclad was the first venue we looked at and we knew we made the right decision! It's beautiful on the inside and outside ! It was a great experience - great vibes, great staff, just awesome ! Everyone during the whole night kept coming up to us and commenting on how great it all was! We definitely recommend! -

Perfect wedding venue!
Ironclad Brewery was the perfect wedding venue! It was an absolutely beautiful and romantic setting to get married in and having the full bar and staff already included in the venue package was unbelievably convenient and easy! The staff was so accommodating and kind, and the event coordinator Rachel is a wealth of knowledge and good advice! We are so glad we chose Ironclad for our special day- it was perfect! -

We have not had our wedding yet, but as soon as we stepped in Ironclad we knew this was where we wanted to get married. On top of the beautiful architecture the manager is amazing to deal with, shes quick to respond and will always tell you the truth without misleading you. The price to rent the venue is very reasonable, and their bar packages work for any event! We're so excited to continue the planning and have our special day at Ironclad! -

This was the most perfect venue for our wedding. Having the whole place to our selves was amazing, gave us time to set up and take our time. Great backdrop for photography. More than enough room for guests,I believe we had about 125-130. Staff was so helpful with anything we needed. All of our guests say that by far that was the best wedding they have attended. -

Beautiful Wedding Venue!
This place was gorgeous with the beautiful high ceilings and the natural southern chic it was perfect! A great price! And they even went above and beyond with my planning to accommodate children and disabled adults! Not to mention you can use all of their equipment and we had a great time with the projector and displaying memories of our past on the wall! -

Favorite Venue in Wilmington
As a wedding photographer, Ironclad is easily one of my favorite places to work in Wilmington. Not only is the bartending staff a blast to be around on your wedding day, but the events operations manager, Rachel, will single handedly make your wedding day a perfect success. For a place that hosts around 90 weddings a year, they really know how to make your event run smoothly. Visually, it's stunning with it's historic brick walls and beautiful wood floors upstairs, as well as the twinkle lights strung around the entire place (I know some venues charge $500 just for the twinkle lights, while they're included here). The location is perfect for walking around to nearby photo opportunities, as well as plenty of after party and hotel options. And of course, the beer. Every beer at this place is made onsite, and a HUGE variety for every kind of drinker. Don't hesitate to book Ironclad for your wedding day!! -

We couldn’t have chose a better venue after having to reschedule our postponed wedding due to Hurricane Florence. The staff was absolutely amazing from start to finish and made sure our wedding was perfect. The venue and atmosphere was incredible and we are so thankful that we were able to have our wedding at Ironclad. While searching for our venue, we’d been through 4 other locations before coming to tour Ironclad. Once we chatted with Ted and walked around, we knew this was the place for us! It’s completely and utterly gorgeous all on its own, with the wood everywhere and few lights they leave up year round. In my opinion, it’s a phenomenal space for both the ceremony and reception because everything can happen in one location, seamlessly! The bar upstairs and bar downstairs are convenient for guests and the staircase is gorgeous. The beers on tap are all fantastic and we even did a beer unity ceremony instead of candles! No flames allowed inside and definitely no glitter. This place doesn’t need much else for decorations, like I said, it’s totally beautiful all on its own! And then...there’s Rachel. She is the event operations manager and by far the most incredibly spectacular person we worked with during our entire planning process. We. LOVE. her!!! She was so kind, patient, and helpful during everything and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The whole staff was so friendly every time we went in and especially on the big day as well. Choosing this location was the best thing we could have done and we will always treasure our memories made there! -

I got SO many compliments during the wedding about how unique Ironclad was. It is extremely affordable while still giving you the feel of downtown, and there is also a parking deck across the street. I enjoyed working with Rachel. They have had many weddings and can answer all of your questions and are very flexible when they can be. Truly enjoyed Ironclad. My favorite part was being able to eat upstairs then go back down to party. -

Wow, where do I begin?
This is a BEAUTIFUL venue. My guests could not stop admiring all the gorgeous details of the brewery. What really sets Ironclad apart, however, is their willingness to make sure everything is perfect for you. Rachel and her staff were incredibly responsive and helpful as I was trying to plan my dream wedding from another state. On wedding day, I could not be at the venue to set up and had to send a crew to do the work. Rachel and her staff took the reigns and made sure everything was absolutely PERFECT and to plan. I can’t thank them enough. I could go on and on about this amazing staff. What an amazing day with amazing vendors ❤️ -

Tabitha Sent on 06/30/2018This is seriously our favorite place on Earth. If we could re-live our wedding day and the entire experience every day for the rest of our lives, we absolutely would. The entire Ironclad staff made our whole day absolutely magical and literally the best day of our lives. The venue is beautiful, the staff was so helpful and wonderful and went above and beyond in every aspect. Not to mention the DELICIOUS craft beer they brew! It really couldn't have been better and I can't thank them enough. I highly recommend this venue 100,000,000%. And if you also want somewhere to just hang out, have some great beer and even better company, this is also the place for you. When I said this is our favorite place on Earth, I wasn't exaggerating. Good luck to everyone out there looking! And I promise of you go with Ironclad, you won't be disappointed!

The staff went above and beyond for all of our needs to make us and our entire party feel comfortable and happy. They were super responsive to every email, let us come view the venue and scoop things out as much as possible and even made us feel like family. i was super impressed with Rachel, the coordinator, who worked with my wedding planner and my parents to pull of an epic surprise for me. I could never thank her or the staff enough for making my wedding day the absolute best day of my life.

Getting married at Ironclad was the best decision my husband and I could have made. The venue already has a beautiful charm and required very little decoration on our part. The wooden bars and the lighting already in the venue were beautiful. We had our ceremony downstairs, dinner upstairs (they have beautiful wooden tables and chairs), and then moved back downstairs for toasts, cake cutting, and dancing. The staff was wonderful to work with and so easy to collaborate with. The beer selection is fantastic and they also have a great selection of wine and liquor for non-beer drinkers. There is nothing I would have changed about the venue and even better, there is a parking deck directly in front of the building which made for very convenient parking for everyone. I highly recommend Ironclad for your wedding. -

Perfect wedding venue!
Ironclad was the perfect wedding venue! The coordinator was more than willing to work with our special requests, was able to give wonderful recommendations, and was easy to communicate with. The venue itself has an ambiance so unique that little extra is required to make it feel special for your big day. Less is definitely more here. The service the day of our wedding was flawless. Highly, highly recommended! -

Rachel was a great help when planning our wedding. Her boss, however, was a complete nightmare. If it weren’t for her boss, we would have had a totally positive experience. The venue was beautiful, though! -

Planning a wedding with them is a HOT MESS. After touring and deciding this was the venue, it took over a week for the event planner, Rachel, to email me back. Once we got the date secured, they got a new event planner, Annette, who was even less responsive. I had to send a follow up email to every email sent in order to get a reply. There were times I waited weeks for a response and would have to reach back out. As the wedding day got closer, we scheduled a final meeting to go over details (floorplan, timeline, etc) and Annette slept through it. She finally called 45 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start, stating she was sorry but she was only human. She then emailed my day of coordinator, not me, a week and a half before the wedding to say she would be out of the country and to please send the timeline and floorplan to the owner and operations manager when it was ready. She had this information, I gave it to her in the meeting she nearly missed. Brian, the owner, took over at this point. While he was nice, he didn’t help much with the overall planning and seems to still be getting familiar with even planning as he took ownership fairly recently. They did not set up the downstairs seating like they were supposed to until approached and reminded by my coordinator or set up the floating candles that the contract states their staff will set up. If it hadn't been for my coordinator, I’m not sure what would’ve happened. My coordinator shared with me that she will not work anymore weddings at Ironclad.
In the end, it was a beautiful and magical night. The convenience of the bar package, the quality of the included furniture, and being able to do the entire wedding on the premises, indoors was great. No guests knew the hiccups because they were handled by other parties. Overall, I can’t recommend having your wedding there due to the unprofessional behaviors and nonchalant attitudes.
On a final note, that $1,000 dollars they are referring to here is the ceremony fee. Bar spend minimum is at least $2,500. Sharing for transparency.

My daughter planned this months in advance. She had a confirmation of date and time 9 months prior to her wedding. 2 weeks before the date, she was told that the owner scheduled an event at the time of our rehearsal and he refused to change his event even though it had been confirmed by email 9 months prior. To offset their mistake, they allowed us to set up early. After the wedding, we were allowed 2 hours to clean up. We moved items onto the sidewalk in order to pull cars forward to load our belongings. Exactly 1 hour and 11 minutes into clean up the establishment locked us out! The owner had the nerve to tell someone who didn't pay for the event that he gave us a cheaper rate. Which first of all was not true and second of all was not anything that should've been discussed with anyone who was not on the contract. The owner continued to argue with all the people that were there to help us pack. And yes, because we were not permitted to go back through the establishment to see if we left anything behind, we did just that and had to return a week later. There were a few members of the staff that were very rude. Although the place was beautiful, I would not recommend this event. As a mother of the bride, the stress around a wedding is hard enough. Why would you want to deal with the rude owner of this establishment? Obviously HE is more important than his customers. Why else would he have scheduled his event at the same time promised to my daughter?
