bought my Mori Lee at Irma's Bridal in Cherry Hill, NJ

I cannot say this enough how sweet and patient Irma is. She has an eye with picking out the choices that you provided with her own lovely suggestions. I went into her shop thinking I was going to get this one dress and ordered another with my mother, sister and fiance all wowed. I can't wait for my dress to come in so I can see it all come together since the sample dress was too big for me.

I first went to Irma's because I knew she carried Sottero and Midgley. A friend of mine bought her dress there and had a good experience. I had already found my dream dress by Sottero and Midgley up in North Jersey , but I didn't want to buy it far from home. As soon as I showed Irma the dress I wanted, she brought it out to me within 2 minutes. Irma knew exactly where it was. It was perfect and I said yes to the dress that day.

Moving forward a while later, it was time for alterations. I was so scared to do alterations because I have heard some terrible stories about people messing up the dress and bustle. However, Maria was amazing!!! During my second fitting, I brought my mom, aunt, and cousin to help make sure the dress was perfect and teach us how to bustle the dress. My mom and aunt had Maria change the dress more to make the bottom more even by adding a snap. Maria labelled everything we needed to bustle and it seriously took 2 minutes to bustle. All along I was scared it was going to interfere with my wedding fun time! It was perfect! Everyone complimented my dress the whole time! Go see Irma!

After shopping around for wedding dresses I went to Irma's. The selection was wonderful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I found my dress and was more than pleased. Angela who did the alterations was so sweet. My dress turned out perfect!!! So pleased!!!!

Irma's is amazing! My mom got her dress for my brother's wedding there three years ago and I decided to go there to look for wedding dresses. The staff is incredible! So helpful and kind! The dresses are gorgeous! They have a dress for every budget! I was so comfortable there trying dresses on and when it came to fittings, Angela is the BEST! I will certainly shop there again in the future for dresses for any occasion!

Irma's has a great selection. If you are looking for a very UNIQUE wedding dress and not a boring, blah dress, go here first! Yes it is walk in Mon-Sat so if you are looking for someone to drop what they are doing to attend to your every need, this is not the place for you. BUT they do accept appointments on Sundays so if you need to feel like a DIVA, schedule it on a Sunday.

I fell in love with a Mori Lee dress I saw online and no other store in the area had the sample except for Irma's. I met Irma and she is the sweetest lady. She orders all of the dresses for her shop and was also a wedding dress designer. All of the staff in the store are extremely helpful in finding what you need.

Some bad marks:
*It's true, they do not use computers but they never lost any of my paperwork and had no problems finding my orders.
*They have next to NO selection in flower girl dresses, so be prepared to go
somewhere else. I did get my flower girls dress there but their selection is not for everyone.
*Alteration/cleaning prices seem to be made up. Be prepared for a ballpark, "I just thought of this number in my head" estimate and no itemized list showing what is getting done to your dress before your big day. They fit you and pretty much scribble a number down on a pad and ask you to pay in full, in cash at your first fitting.

None of my moms or bridesmaids got a dress there, but the selection was great and the prices were reasonable. Once again, make Irma's your first stop. It's totally worth it.

Loved my dress for my wedding! Emma's has a great selection for the best price. I shopped around, went to about 15 different bridal shops, and Ermas had the best prices.

I had looked at several different bridal shops and was lost on my way to another when I pulled into a parking lot to fix my GPS and happened to see Irma's Bridal right in front of me. I tried on several dresses that were beautiful but not quite what I was looking for. I described my perfect dress to the saleslady and within minutes, she brought out a dress that was almost exactly what I had described. I really wanted to add a belt and once I was given one to tie around my waist everyone, including my 3 year old nephew, knew that was my gown! The price was very reasonable, which made me very happy. Irma was wonderful and so helpful. She always made me feel welcome in her shop. Angie, the seamstress, did an impeccable job with my alterations and adding the belt to my dress. It was such a beautiful way to have a dress that was truly mine. Overall, Irma's was a fantastic find!

I knew the dress I was looking for and Irma’s was the closest place that carried it. After trying it on, I knew I would be purchasing it. The price was extremely reasonable and the dress came into the store in a timely matter. I chose to have my alterations also done at Irma’s and their seamstresses are fantastic! After one fitting, the dress fit like a glove and the bustle they created was beautiful. My grandmother also got her dress here and had a great experience with them and the alterations department. Everyone absolutely loved my dress and I would definitely recommend Irma’s.

I can't say enough about Irma's! I've been there twice trying on bridal gowns. Whitney even remembered me from a previous visit and remembered the dresses that I tried on. She was very warm and made my experience incredibly enjoyable. Irma was there while I was trying on dresses and offered her kind words on the dresses that I was trying on. I almost said yes to my dress there, but I just need to try it on with my mom. I would without a doubt buy my dress from Irma.

Irma and her staff were attentive, very helpful and very accommodating. Her seamstress was very nice and helpful. They didn't have my gown in stock (actually I called several bridal shops and no one had it ) But Irma called and ordered my gown and when it came in...it fit perfectly!! Thank you so much Irma for my Maggie Sottero Gown!!!! Milana and I were made for each other!!

My daughter and I were treated well by Irma and her staff. Irma's dress designing skill helped my daughter find her beautiful Maggie-Soterro that was modified to her liking and came in early after ordering. I loved my dress too. This was my second wedding buying experience and both were wonderful. I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone who wants the attention and fine quality that you deserve.

Irma's Bridal is a great place to find your dress. Their prices are amazing and it's tax free! They have an amazing selection. I absolutely love my dress. Irma's seamstress is the best. I brought in trim for her to put on, and I took out most of the tulle underneath. She made the dress fit like a glove!
I would say go during the day, they get busy at night. But you will always get great service!

I'm at a loss for words for Irma's bridal (in the best way imaginable!)! My mom and I stopped in Irma's one night, the first store we went looking for my dress at, with no intentions of trying anything on. And then we met Irma! Irma looked me up and down and said "Honey, I have the dress you are going to buy, but I don't want you to be that girl that says she bought the first dress she tried on, so I will put you in two dresses first, and you will buy the third!" My mom and I laughed, thinking this lady is crazy! Well, it turns out, she's brilliant! I did buy the third dress I tried on that night, and it was NOTHING like I would have imagined myself wearing! Not only did I buy my dress there, but my mom got her MOB dress, husbands mom got her MOG dress, my bridesmaids did along with my best friends (getting married in June) mom and her bridesmaid dresses!
Irmas prices are reasonable (My dress was a few $100 cheaper than other places) as were the alterations. Every step of the way, our experience at Irma's bridal was amazing!

I had a 12 week engagement. THe consultants at Irmas foud nthe perfect dress for me in stock at there shop, altered it so it fit beautifully and mad me the bride I had dreamed of.

I felt as if making the right choice for a dress for me was more important to them than sellin a more expensive dress!

The seamstress who completed the alterations did a beautiful job.

Irma's Bridal made my wedding dress shopping experience such a great experience. They do not take appointments, but I ended up actually liking this. We went early on a Saturday and only waited about 20 minutes to be helped.

Their selection is great- dresses at all price points, but from looking around it seemed that most were under the $3,000 mark, which is not bad as far as Bridal Gowns from a non-chain store are concerned.

As we started pulling dresses and trying them on, the consultant was amazing. Very friendly and made stripping down to close to nothing as comfortable as it can get. I tried on about 6 or 7 dresses and my bridesmaids kept bringing us more (or more accurately, kept taking the dresses from the girl across the dressing room after she was done with them). Not once did the consultant make a comment about how many we were trying on or look down at her watch!! Other places I have visited made me feel so rushed and strapped for time that I felt like I didn't try on all that I could.

She let me try on the same dress multiple times for comparison purposes. I went back a week later with my family to show them THE dress, and once again, was so impressed with everyone's professionalism and attitudes.

My entire experience with Irma's was amazing. I had my alterations done there ($350 total) which was similar if not cheaper to local bridal stores in the area. Alterations did an AMAZING job! They turned the neckline of my dress into sweetheart neckline, added the bustle, and had to take 3 inches off the sides of the dress due to weight loss. They did all of this while still maintaining the dress I fell in love with.

I got a Maggie Sottero from Irma's and did my "alterations" there --- I only needed a bustle, so it was pretty minimal. They were very fairly priced and great to work with. If you can, wait to work with Irma herself, she'll listen to what you like and pick the perfect dress for your body. I wound up buying the first one she pulled out for me!

I went a few places to look at dresses, but Irma's stood out. The quality and the selection at Irma's are wonderful. Whitney, one of the lovely ladies who works for Irma's, actually picked out my wedding dress for me - I didn't like it on the hanger, but absolutely fell in love with it once it was on, except one part of the dress. Whitney took the time to listen to what I wanted in a dress and knew what dress would fit me best. There was one part of the dress that I didn't like, but the seamstress Angela was incredible with making it a one of a kind dress. I would definitely recommend Irma's to any bride who would love to feel like a beautiful princess while trying on wedding dresses.

I worked with Irma herself to select the perfect dress for my wedding day - she was outstanding - always available and patient. She allowed me to try on as many dresses as I wanted and did not pressure me to purchase right away but allowed me to do so in my own time. She has years and years of fashion and design experience and was extremely helpful in modifying the dress I selected so that I could have a one of a kind gown for my wedding day. My alterations were done there by Angela who was spectacular, too. Would definitely recommend!!

I was a little skeptical shopping at Irma's because I didn't have any personal recommendations of friends that had ever shopped there-- but I am SO GLAD I worked with them to select my wedding dress and my mom's MoB dress! Irma is so friendly, funny, and warm that you feel so welcome-- even on a crazy evening or Saturday during prom season! The seamstress that did my alterations did a flawless job, and my dress looked amazing on my wedding day. I selected a veil only 3-4 weeks before my wedding (not enough time to order the jeweled headpiece that went with it), so Irma ordered a new veil for me and sold me her sample headpiece so that I could have the perfect accessory to match my gown. Thank you to Irma, Ginny and the seamstress (I can't remember her name!) who hugged me when I left with my gown! You made me feel truly beautiful!

Irma's Bridal gave me excellent service. Irma, Whitney, and Cathy were amazing...and how can i forget the seamstress Angela who did an amazing job on completely re-designing the top of my gown to the way I wanted it!!!

Irma was amazing....when I didn't think something was going to be in on time for my wedding day she assured me that she would have it in plenty of time for my wedding, and she did!!! She made good on her word!!!!

My mother bought her gown from Irma and it was amazing!!!!

I would recommend Irma's. Tip for the visit....Don't go on a Monday afternoon...usualy a little busy, you would have to get there first thing in the am. And Saturdays are busy also, they don't take appointments so try to be the first one in. But it was def worth it!!! Very professional!

I loved working with Irma's Bridals. I received very personalized service everytime I went to look at dresses and for my fittings. They have a good selection of dresses in a decent range of prices. Irma is the most amazing woman to work with for gowns for the bride, bridal party and mothers. She herself has a special insight and if you don't take her advice you are being foolish. She has that special ability to see what is right for each person. It would be nice if everyone were like her. All of the girls in the shop were nice and helpful but I would not make any decisions without getting Irma's oppinion. Her prices are the best and her selection is fabulous.

I did not find the dress shopping experience fun at all. I did not grow up with a vision of the dress. I would have much rather shopped for jeans and shoes (at least I knew what I liked). Even though the models and other girls at the shops looked so beautiful in their dresses, I felt like they were so heavy, big and they made me feel like I was a mummer. Also, I was disappointed that 80% of the dresses were strapless which is unflattering to my back fat. And most of those dresses were empire waist (which is bad for short torsos). Of all the places that we went, I felt that Irmas staff was most patient and caring. I knew that I liked the Maggies and they had a huge selection. Just from looking at my frame, they suggested dresses that I would have never taken off the hanger. She was also the first person who suggested the off the shoulder straps to camouflage the area that I was self conscious about. When I picked up the dress before the wedding, I felt like I was saying good-bye to old friends.

There was no one else I wanted to buy a dress from

I had gone to an absurd amount of bridal salons and didn't find a single one I liked. Nothing felt like "the one," so I was getting very frustrated. When I went to Irma's, there were so many dresses but they all felt underwhelming. Then Irma told me she would pick dresses for me instead and I immediately found the one I loved. She has such a good eye! She gave me all the time I needed - I ended up being there for over two hours. I did my alterations and picked my veil from there too. The alterations were way less than I was expecting, and they turned out amazing! I had straps made for a strapless dress and took off many inches of fabric from the bottom, but the dress still turned out beautifully. I honestly couldn't have imagined getting my dress from anywhere else. Thanks, Irma!

I shopped at a few bridal shops and this was the only one that had a wide selection of dresses that were my style to try on. Irma was very helpful in finding me a dress that fit what I was looking for. The staff is very friendly. The only issue was there was some confusion and lack of communication when it came to having my fittings and picking up my dress. They deal with the dress process everyday and I think they assumed that I knew how the fitting process worked as well. Crisis was averted, but communication beforehand would have helped.

I had a phenomenal experience at Irma's. I found my wedding dress and bought it that very day. The only thing is that some times there is a little miscommunication - I was unaware you need to bring your receipt in, and when my dress came in I was so anxious to try it on that I didn't realize it wasn't a fitting appointment. Not a big deal since I live close to Cherry Hill.

The seamstress, Angela, could not be better. I tried my dress on ONCE, and the next fitting it fit like a glove. The bustle turned out wonderful and she really listened to what I had to say.

I loved Irma's and would recommend them to anyone.

Irma really knows how to run a business. She has an exceptional eye for bridal fashion. I already knew which dress I wanted before I even walked in her store, and she was the warmest and sweetest lady out of any stores I visited in the area, which encouraged me to go through her. Although she does all her bookkeeping by hand, she is incredibly organized (the downside is the need for keeping your receipt!). When my mom was looking for a dress, we showed her a picture and she pulled out 2 extremely close dresses, one of which she decided to pick. She keeps a close eye on her seamstresses and approves all of the alterations on the bride before the final "cut" is made. Her seamstress Angela did a superb job with the alterations (only downside was my bustle did not hold during the reception, but I feel like this is a common occurrence . They allow 3 gown fittings and she was very accommodating to me as I was planning my wedding from a distance. I would recommend them to anyone!

Get to Irma's early if you are going on a weekend - they don't take appointments. The line started before the store even opened. Luckily I was first and got Irma to help me select my wedding dress. You're limited to trying on 6 dresses on a Saturday. I told Irma the look I was going for (romantic, classic, lace, no strapless) and she pulled a bunch of dresses that she would look good on me. The first one I tried on was "the one" and we bought it that day! Irma has such an eye for design and for perfection. During the alterations, Irma was there to give her opinion about changes that needed to be made. I was nervous at the first fitting because the dress was several sizes too large. I thought I would need to come atleast 2-3 more times, but at the second fitting the dress was transformed and looked like it was made for me. Irma's may seem a bit hectic at first with all the crowds, but it is well worth it. She is fantastic and has the best selection of dresses by far!

I bought my wedding gown here and got all of my bridesmaids gowns here, as well as the alterations for my wedding gown.

First, I'll start with my initial dress-shopping experience, which was done during the week in the early afternoon. I told my saleswoman, Kathy, that I loved Maggie Sottero gowns and she walked away to choose me some gowns based on what I said I loved. While she collected gowns for me, Irma walked up to me, greeted me warmly, looked me up and down once and told me she knew the perfect gown for me, Maggie Sottero's Sabelle gown! I am a skeptic so I didn't believe her, but tried on the gown anyway. lol It was an amazing gown and hugged me in all the right places!! I felt like it was "the one" but did not want to make a hasty decision so I tried on a few more; however, none compared to the one Irma chose for me. I bought the Sabelle gown that day!

Because my experience was amazing with my gown, I decided to get my bridesmaids gowns from there too. I loved iridescent taffeta, but since my bridesmaids were all curvy women with different shapes, Kathy suggested chiffon dresses, which I didn't really care for, but she gave me a few designers to look at and told me to browse and find some that I loved. It didn't take me long to find the perfect dresses and in an amazing deep-red Tiffany chiffon! Those gowns were style #L3012 from Belsoie by Jasmine and I immediately knew that I loved them for my gorgeous bridesmaids!!!

My dresses came in quickly and all of them were correct. I had no issues at all, thankfully!

I must comment on the quality of my alterations and the woman who did them- Angela. Angela was the sweetest woman ever and was so gracious and patient! I loved her immediately and her talent was awesome. For brides with big busts and small waists (like me), you can trust that Angela will make your dress perfect and make sure that your "girls" are in your dress properly and that your dress looks immaculately sewn! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Angela!

One thing I must recommend to brides choosing Irma's Bridal as a vendor- stay away on Saturdays unless you have absolutely no other choice!!!!! It is a madhouse in there and quality of service drops all the way down to one star, unfortunately. I went on one Saturday and will never do so again! lol

Overall, I had a great experience here and I recommend that brides shop when Irma is present so she can do her magic and pick out a dress or dresses that will make you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world!!

I bought basically everything through Irma's Bridal. My wedding dress, which was very reasonably priced, bridesmaid dresses, MOB dress, flower girl dress and my dress alterations were done there too. Irma was a huge help. If you are going to look for your wedding dress, make an appointment for a Sunday. Sunday's are only opened for brides looking for wedding dresses and it is by appointement only, so when you go in, no one else is in the store and you have Irma's full attention. I thought that made the whole dress shopping experience so much better. Irma definitely knows what she is doing and has been in the business for a long time. She does not pressure you and gives you the time you need to make your decisions. There are plenty of other shops in the area but I thought that going to Irma was the best choice.

Overall, this was a great bridal boutique, especially with the options and prices. I wanted a Maggie Sottero, and Irma's had by far the best prices. They do not take appointments, so it can be a hit or miss with how busy they are. I am a teacher and off during the summers, so I went during a weekday in July and the store was slow and the staff took their time. When I picked up the gown during a Saturday, it was a little hectic. If you have time to go during a weekday, I highly suggest you do.

Irma did a fabulous job on my dress! She also ordered all my bridesmaid dresses. Everything went very smoothly and they were super helpful! This is a VERY popular bridal shop and it's usually busy, I suggest making an appointment or going during a slow time! They just recently expanded their shop to double it's original size! They have tons to choose from and my experience was wonderful and I would absolutely go back again! My sister (my maid of honor) lost a lot of weight between the time she ordered her dress and the wedding and they literally cut the dress in half and it looked like it came right from the factory! I was so impressed! Also their seamstress is WONDERFUL! She might seem slightly expensive but worth EVERY PENNY! They really make you feel like you're at home and the staff learns your name and remembers you next time you come in! It's a great experience and they did a stand up job! Thank you Irma and Staff!!!

My wedding gown, bridesmaid gowns and my mom’s dress was purchased from Irma’s for my wedding last December. The selection they offer is fantastic and I also thought that their dress prices were reasonable as well. On my first trip there I found my gown and after seeing a bridesmaid dress elsewhere, I found that they carried that line as well. My dress and my mom’s dress came in without any problems. The bridesmaid dresses had a few issues though. Apparently the color combination I had visualized and communicated to Irma’s staff (each time I came in and had one of 6 bridesmaids fitted) were not how the order was shipped. There was some confusion between how the vendor does the color combinations when given multiple colors. They came in completely the opposite of what I wanted-instead of a black dress with colored trim, it was a bright colored dress with black trim. Irma did not hesitate to offer solutions to the problem-at her cost. In the end, she had her seamstress make the adjustments and they all turned out beautifully, even better than I originally pictured them!!! Also, one of my bridesmaids became pregnant and Irma worked with us to get enough extra fabric and her dress looked just as good as the others. Irma was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process, and on the big day we all looked fantastic in our dresses.

The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the Dress and Veil. Irma is a little pushy, but you have to just tell her how you feel and she will leave you alone. Besides that great alterations, good timing with everything, nothing was running late with the orders. Perfect!

If you want a beautiful dress for less than $1800 go to Irma's!! I was amazed at the selection she had and the quality of dresses for that price. Alterations are also very reasonable. Staff is very friendly and nice. Love that you don't make appointments, you just walk in. (so if you can go during a weekday it's great, otherwise go very early on Sat)

I can not recommend Irma's enough. Everyone in the shop is lovely and so attentive. I tried another shop in the area and I did not feel welcome or valued the way I did at Irma's. Admittedly, they need to computerize their systems and be a bit less stringent on the types of payment accepted, but the service and selection outweigh the inconvenience of the cash only policy.

I am having my bridesmaids get their dresses from here. It seems like Irma's provides the best value in this area. My mom also got her dress from here. I love the fact that you don't have to make an appointment for bridesmaid dress fittings!! We love Irma as well!! The only thing is, sometimes there is a long wait and the sales associates can get a little frazzled and cause some confusion/anxiety amongst the women shopping. I have been helped by Lori most of the time and I LOVE HER!!! Unfortunately, today we were helped by Cindy, and I did not find her to be nearly as helpful or as nice as Lori. Had I encountered Cindy in the beginning of my bridesmaid dress journey, I am not sure if we would've stayed with Irma's.

I got my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and the mother of the bride dress from Irma's Bridal. They have a great selection of dresses and flexible shop hours. I had a good experience picking out my wedding dress. I did have to wait 20 to 30 minutes, but once an associate was available she spent 2 devoted hours with me. She did not pressure me to buy a dress at all. I also went with bridesmaids to get their dresses. Sometimes we had to wait a long time for service, while others we were helped right away. It just depends what time you go. They are very busy on Saturdays, while weekdays are much calmer. I did not get alterations done at Irma's. Overall, I loved my dress and felt the associates, Irma included, were knowledgable and friendly. Would just suggest going when it is not busy since they do not make appointments.

Irma's bridal was suggested to me by a family friend. I came into Irma's bridal multiple times and tried on a number of different dresses, each time without an appointment and never having to wait. Right before I tried on THE dress, I was wearing a dress I really liked, but there was just something I didn't like about it, Irma came over, asked me details about exactly what I wanted and came back with the perfect dress! She also suggested I order one size up in order to ensure that the dress fit properly and covered all the areas I was worried about. Both she and other people who work at Irma's bridal were very friendly and not pushy. I didn't do alterations there but I know a woman who does alterations there and she is fantastic!

I had a great overall experience with Irma's Bridal. During my initial visit, I got individualized attention, they had a good selection of dresses, they provided a bustier to wear under the gowns I was trying on, and they were able to pin the samples tightly enough where they closely simulated my size. Their prices are significantly lower than other area stores. I actually first tried on my gown at Jay West, but Irma's list price was $350 less. I ordered my gown 7 months before the wedding and it was delivered in 2 months. The alterations/fitting was the most inconvenient aspect. The tailor is not there on the weekends, and is only available on certain weekdays. I live and work in Center City Philadelphia and it wasn't exactly convenient to take off work to do my fittings...but then again, when has wedding planning ever been convenient?! haha The store can get really hectic and I often saw women who showed up for fittings to find that their appointment had never been written down in the store's appointment book (but from what I can tell, the store was always able to squeeze them in), and I often had to wait awhile at the counter to pay a balance, make my next fitting appointment, etc. The staff are all very pleasant but seem a little scatterbrained...I would be there for my fittings and even though I had clearly been there before, spent time with the staff, and had my name written in the appointment book, they would come up to the counter at the end and say..."so what is your name again?" It didn't really bother me that much but that definitely loses them points in the professionalism category. But overall, I was thrilled with the cost of the dress and I had them do custom alterations which turned out beautifully. My advice is to make an appointment, and before you go, look through lots of pictures and identify specific styles (designer AND style #) you are interested in trying. From there, they will suggest additional styles. Don't bring more than 1 or 2 people with you because although the store is big, it can get crowded. And finally, patience is key! Regardless of where you go to look for your dress, you are going to have to wait for one reason or another. Irma's is definitely worth the wait!

I am my daughter's wedding planner. Initially, she wanted a dress that I tracked down to Irmas Bridal. My daughter lives in Florida and flew up to check out the dress. Naturally, she didn't love the dress when she tried it on. No problem, Irmas has a lovely selection of Cassablancas, Maggie Sotteros and Allures. Ulimately, she found a lovely Cassablanca. Her consultant was oustanding. Irma is a delight. You def get a "Say Yes To Dress" moment at Irmas. The dresses were priced fairly. However, the accessories were almost double what it would cost elsewhere. Also, they do not accept Discover credit card and insist that you pay cash when you pick up your dress. Since we like to earn miles and/or points, this was a disappointment. Had I thoroughly researched, I would have gone somewhere else. Also, this shop does not take appointments. It is first come, first served. Last but not least, if you pick up the dress and feel you may need a seamstress. If you decide you don't want to have them use their seamstress, you have to pay $50 for the hour. Sorry, that was not at all acceptable. Whle we had a great moment, this shop truly lacked flexibility.

I think it depends who serves you at Irmas. Dorothy was my favorite representative to work with! From day one she was honest with me and gave me tips. She kept reminding me that this is my day and don't let any of the girls alter my decisions. It was nice to have her support as she almost help me feel more full since my mom passed away and wasn't there for me to find a dress. it sounds weird, but she almost filled that role. Irma is very honest in a good way. But if the shop is busy, she can be very short with you. But she still cares. I bought my Maggie there and was told that they can make a sweetheart neckline. The first seamstress didn't feel comfortable doing it and kept leaving me to attend to another bride even though I was there 45 minutes early and they took me 20 minutes late. They were annoyed I couldn't make up my mind after being told that they can but don't feel comfortable cutting the dress to make a sweetheart. I took off my dress and took it with me unsatisfied. After lots of tears and calming down, I took my dress back and dealt with Maria, another seamstress. WONDERFUL lady. Had no problem with the sweetheart and did a beautiful job! The only upsetting part about the final result was the cost. It was 400 and some change for all of my alterations. But I looked beautiful on my wedding day.

Irma is amazing. She picked out my dress which I didn't even want to give a chance. She was super good to me. I only had time for one fitting and she made sure she was there for me even though she was sick. I do however think her staff could be a little friendlier. Some of my bridesmaids had issues with their dresses being too small and i think it was because it was a new dress and they weren't too familiar with the way they fit but the ladies didnt seem to concerned / helpful. And you always have to wait forever because they don't take appointments . But as a bride I do feel you get treated like royalty!

My dress is a Casablanca dress and it was purchased at Irma's. They were flexible with holding my dress for awhile after it came because i was traveling from Florida to pick it up. The only complaint i have is that they only take cash for the final payment of the dress.

I really wish she could be cloned - the wait can sometimes be a while. I found a Maggie dress online and called every store in the area to find somewhere that had it in stock- Irma's was the only one so that's where we went. The first time we went, I had an appointment and Irma saw us right away. I put on the dress, loved it, and there wasn't much else. She was very nice and helpful. However, when she asked if I would be getting the alterations done there (which I wasn't planning on), she got a little bit pushy telling me that it was complicated and they were the only ones who could do it correctly. Oh well. She told me the dress would be in 6 months and that they would call me when it was in.

After 6 months had passed, I called to see if the dress had come in. Irma said she would check and call me back. I waited a week and she didn't, and I had to call again. Again, she said she would check and call me back. She did that time, and said the dress had come in and was waiting in their store. Well, thanks for letting me know! She told us we didn't need an appointment to pick it up (since I wasn't having alterations done there), but it was pretty crowded and we had to wait a while, so I think it would definitely have helped.

All in all, Irma was sweet, friendly, and knows her stuff, but communication was a bit lacking.

I had read mixed reviews about Irma's Bridal on several wedding websites, so I was a bit reluctant to buy my dress there. I had looked at several different shops, from David's Bridal to very high end bridal salons. Irma's seemed to be in the middle. What I didn't like about Irma's is that they don't take appointments on the weekend, so it's first come first, served--you can end up waiting for a long time for a sales person. Even when you have an appointment, you still end up waiting. You don't get the custom, princess like attention and doting that you get at more high end salons, so especially if you're a first time bride and you want that attention and pampering, go elsewhere. HOWEVER, I found the EXACT same dress at Irma's that I had found at a more high end salon for $400 less, so that made up my mind pretty quickly to buy it at Irma's. I rarely was helped by the same salesperson when I went back there but everyone who helped me was competent enough. The alterations were a lot more than I would have imagined paying--$350 (but maybe that's standard). In the end, I got the dress I wanted--on time--and was very happy.

The ladies at Irma's know what they're doing...that's for sure. We picked out some dresses to try on (all awful) and when they were finally given their chance to show us some dresses, I fell in love with the very first one (a Maggie) and was ultimately torn between two very similar dresses the ladies chose for me. I worked with two different ladies - and Irma occasionally popped her head in (she's the only one who can measure for the gown) and they were all quite nice.

Some good points - prices are better than anywhere else in the region; the staff all know what they're doing and are very sweet; and the dresses are always in on time.

Some bad points - the store is TOO SMALL - you're practically on top of each other trying to look at dresses and there are tons of other people milling around at the same time; the payment policy is strange since they will only accept cash for the wedding gown payment (???!!!); and alterations/fittings are only on Wednesday evenings - no flexibility in that respect.

We wound up buying the mother of the bride AND bridesmaids gowns at Irma's too - but we found them at another store and ordered them with Irma. Cheaper by $30 a dress!!!!

I bought a dress and bolero from Irma's and I would say I was basically happy with the service. On the plus side, I came in maybe 3 or 4 times to try on very specific dresses (I needed sleeve/arm coverage for a very religious wedding), and the women at the store always accomodated me and let me try on dresses quite a few times. However, when I was at the store, I was sometimes left to fend for myself a bit in terms of having to wait awhile in between the dresses I was trying on. I also didn't get the best service in terms of being notified when my dress came in, but when it did arrive, it was perfect and exactly what I wanted with the custom changes and everything. Price was also very reasonable and there really wasn't too much mark up. I would probably recommend Irma's just because they really seem to be pretty reasonable with price and they provide relatively decent service.

Irma's has a great selection of wedding dress. Service is great only if you have Irma to help you. The other women aren't as friendly and nice. The prices is reasonable but the alterations are pricey. It gets busy there and there's not enough help so that's the 3 stars for responsiveness and flexibility. I would recommend this place but as I stated before stick with using Irma. She's the owner and tends to be much more friendlier than the other workers there.

My dress was beautiful, but I always felt rushed when I went to the Bridal shop. I read other reviews of the shop and all raved about how great Irma was, but I personally did not see it. All in all, I was very happy with my choice, but I'm not sure if I would personally shop there again, not that I wouldn't recommend it, but just not for me. When I asked how much alterations would cost, I was told anywhere from $150-250.00, of course it was the maximum...which I felt it was going to be that much anyway...like they always charge that much no matter what. Another $30 for ironing...shouldn't that be included in the purchase??? You spend SO much on a dress you're wearing once...it's crazy.

I had a great experience when I bought my gown. The woman that helped me was very personable and friendly and she did a great job looking for dresses that matched my vision. However when I went in for my fittings I felt that I had to wait a long time (even with an appointment). I also misunderstood the receipt. Irma's requires that you pay in full in cash for alterations at your 1st fitting. I only brought the cash to pay off the dress because I didn't know what would need to be altered and how much. When I asked how I would have planned for this the woman said they usually tell brides to bring hundreds of dollars and then they pay when they are given a total. I found this to be inconvenient and odd. My dress was beautiful, but my bustle was broken before we put it up. We were able to rig it up a bit.

I got bridesmaid dresses at irmas but couldn't find my wedding gown there. My only complaint would be you don't have to have an appointment so it's always crazy busy and the staff gets involved in others while helping you. I got stuck in a wedding dress for 20 minutes while the person helping me went to answer the phone.

Customer Service/Dress Buying Experience:

Irma was my favorite bridal salon to shop in!! Her prices were really reasonable and they made my dress shopping experience really special. The sales people are not pushy at all and are really knowledgeable about their inventory. The dress came in way ahead of time and was the correct size/color. I highly recommend shopping for a dress here!

Alterations:

I loved my dress buying experience at Irma's, so I hate to give this review, but here it goes. I paid $300 for my alterations.cups were sewn in, the dress was hemmed to shorten the gown only and a simple 2 button bustle was put in. I did not like the way the bustle was hanging (it was 2 hooks and kind of just hung there) but when I expressed my concern to the seamstress, she dismissed it and told me that was "how it was supposed to look." She wouldn't really work with me or try anything different.

During the reception, the bustle came out 5 times. My poor MOH kept having to chase after my dragging train and bustle it back up. Also, I noticed that my one cup was really high and almost showing. When I looked at the dress the next morning, I noticed that the cups were sewn in 3 places per cup and that one cup was missing the middle stitch (not sure if it was forgotten or came out). I give Irma's a C for alterations, because if I am paying $300 for 3 things to be done, they should not be coming undone during the 10 hours I wear the dress. It was just too expensive for too little quality.

Overall, I definitely recommend Irma's to buy your dress, but take your alterations elsewhere.

As much as I love Irma the salon experience was not the best. Finding my dress was easy and fun. I went when it was not crowded with my Mom and sister and got all the attention and help I needed. I went in with one dress in mind and that was the dress I bought. I was so happy with my dress, the price, and my experience I went back with my 5 bridesmaids -- ohhhh lawd that was an entirely different experience!! Even though we made an appointment the shop was too hot, too crowded, and the employees were overworked running around helping a million different customers so my 'Maids did not get the attention I was hoping for. The appointment took forever and eventually we had to start helping eachother in and out of dresses instead of having the employees help and guide us like they should have been. Even though the bridesmaids experience was not ideal -- Irma knows her gowns. She was able to pick a budget friendly gown that looked great on ALL my 'Maids (from size 0 to size 22)!! And I got all different colors that ended up looking gorgeous all together! So I am mixed overall on this review. I would suggest going at an "off" time to avoid traffic and be ready to wait but in the end it will be worth the wait.

My bridesmaids ordered their dresses through Irma's Bridals. Irma's is great for value and selection -- we found affordable but well-made dresses that flattered four very different body types. I'm docking stars for professionalism and responsiveness because, like another reviewer, I found the consultants to be friendly but rather scatterbrained. They did have trouble remembering who I was, and how/where to find my order in their invoice binder.

One consultant told me the dresses would arrive in 2 months, but after 2+ months passed with no word from the store, I called them to find that the dresses weren't supposed to arrive for another 2 months. Fair enough, but I definitely lost a bit of confidence.

And finally, one of my bridesmaids feels pretty strongly that she was misled by one consultant about the silhouette of the dress she ordered, which resulted in her spending a lot of money on outside alterations to turn an A-line skirt into a pencil skirt -- the way the consultant suggested it would look. Everything turned out fine in the end, but again, it left my maid with a bad taste in her mouth, so to speak.

The bottom line: I would recommend Irma's for their selection and their competitive prices. It seems like a lot of previous reviewers had much, much better luck ordering just one garment, like a bridal gown. But for a bigger order like bridesmaid gowns, I'd go elsewhere.

My wedding dress and my mother's dress and sisters dress along with my nieces dress and flower girl dress were all beautiful. Just plan to do a lot of waiting around -- even when you come in for an appointment. Every single time I was ever there, it was a bit stressful. However, I absolutely loved my dress and received many compliments on it -- just make sure your bustle is super secure because mine wasn't made strong enough to hold my dress and broke half way through my wedding which didn't make for the best pictures toward the end and I wasn't able to free my hands while dancing or walking around.

I didn't entirely dislike my experience at Irma's Bridal but I wasn't exactly thrilled. In the beginning of my search, Irma was very attentive and took time picking out beatiful dresses for me. I chose my dress here because the salon was clean and I felt like I was getting the right service unlike some of the dingy local salons. Unfortunately, at my first fitting, they completely ignored me for another bride getting a fitting. I waited an hour an a half to get my dress on- it was almost 9pm. By that time, I was cranky and miserable and they rushed through my appointment. I went home and cried. By my second fitting, they were more attentive. It was hit or miss whether or not they gave me the time of day. They don't negotiate dress prices either, like some of the other salons. I was thrilled with my dress, just not thrilled with the service.

My initial experience at Irma's was wonderful. I found the perfect dress and the service was incredible. My mom also found her dress there as well. We were happy until we called to find out when the dress was coming in only to find out that the dress was not going to be available until the week of the wedding. Irma forced us to call her the following Monday so Irma would remember to call the dress company to have it shipped early. We were forced to pay for the dress order to be rushed despite buying the dress over five months in advanced. When the dress came, I was getting fitted with a fixed rate and my dress turned out beautiful, but I was sold an undergarment for an extra $75, however, the dress did not fit with the undergarment on. Irma refused our return (that never left the store) because despite her receipt in the book, we did not have the pink slip.

My mom's experience was even worse. Her dress arrived on time. She was fitted and at the first fitting, discovered that the dress was fit too short. Irma tried to say the dress fit, despite the obvious. Finally, she agreed to give my mom the sample dress, but still required full price for the dress and fitting. The second dress was then fit too long and my mom couldn't walk in the dress properly.

In the end, we both looked beautiful, but it was not worth the headache and constant worry that our dresses wouldn't be ready for the day of the wedding. Keep all receipts if you decide to go there and be sure to get EVERYTHING in writing with a contract or else you will regret the day you walked into the store.

I only recommend this store for the uniqueness of the dresses. I was deeply disappointed in the exorbinant costs for alterations. All of my bridesmaids went elsewhere for their dress alterations and saved $$$. Irma and her staff make you sign a paper and wait hours just to get in the dresses. She also wants a ton of $$ for extra fabric. I wonder why none of her business is in the computer and on paper....

Horrible Experience Do Not Use Them

Horrible horrible horrible experience. Owner is rude, unhelpful, and disorganized. They ordered the wrong style dress than I asked for and then provided absolutely no solutions to the problem. They even were so rude that they blamed it on me and never apologized. Would not provide refund and told me they could not provide a replacement. Absolutely the worst customer service so I am now stuck with a dress I did not order and do not want.

Terrible experience

This was the most terrible bridal experience!!!! My appointment was scheduled for 4pm two weeks ago. I was called the day of the appointment at 12pm to move my entire bridal appointment to 3pm with no notice. I told the receptionist that I would not do that and she told me I must be there by 4pm because she needed to leave by 5pm. My bridal party arrived 15 minutes early. We walked in and no one at the desk even acknowledged our presence. We took it upon ourselves to look at dresses on our own. 20 minutes later she still never came to help us. We got a couple dresses together and right before trying them on my one bridesmaid noticed a very big blood stain on the top of the dress! We waited for the receptionist to come over so we could show her the stain but she never came over. We immediately left after this. She was very rude, unhelpful and made me very uncomfortable. I can’t believe a dress would have a blood stain on it during COVID. This was such a waste of my time and my bridesmaids time! It’s hard enough getting everyone together with everything going on in the world. It was also very depressing for being a new bride. Please save yourself the time and never go here!

I purchased my bridesmaid dresses from here, and unfortunately I can't cancel my order now. I should have known not to when I had made my appointment to bring my bridesmaids in, and not one employee helped me and my bridesmaids pull dresses, and help with the fit. Nobody helped until I told them we chose the dresses and needed to be sized. I called to follow up, since nobody called me after the order was placed, to see when the dresses would be coming in to let my girls know a time frame. I called and was placed on hold (no problem), but I was put on hold for 15 mins, and than "disconnected." When I called backed, I believed her name was Whitney snapped at me saying she had customers in front of her and didn't have to answer my questions. I asked if she would please take my name and number and look this information up for me and get back to me when it was more convenient. I understand when people are busy, but I should not have had to trouble shoot this for the employee. I would not recommended this place to anyone. The service was horrible, and the employees are rude. I ordered a total of 7 bridesmaid dresses. I would say that's giving them a decent amount of business.

Does not even deserve one star. I never write reviews and this place was so terrible I had to share. I ordered a bridesmaids dress for my best friends wedding. I told Irma(the owner) when she measured me that I was most likely going to get pregnant and she recommended I order two sizes up which I agreed. She also told me the dress DOES come in maternity but since I did not know for sure if I would be pregnant that two sizes up should be good. She measured me and ordered. Got my dress yesterday and it does not zip. So I called and was not mad but asked what I should do and Irma herself told me that I measured for a size and that was the size ordered and that "I" did not order two sizes up. I am not the owner of the worker so she is right, "I" did not order the dress SHE did and she did not order two sizes up. I was fuming. THEN she went on to tell me that the dress does NOT come in maternity when she originally told me it did. Any time I tried to speak she started to scream at me. Not sure what kind of customer service that is but that is the WORST owner and business person I have ever dealt with to scream with a customer on the phone when she has now lied to be twice. I will be taking my business elsewhere and hopefully selling the dress she sold me. Did I mention the dress was defective and missing the top hooks to close the dress? Along with another bridesmaid dress missing the same exact hooks? HORRBILE HORRIBLE COMPANY AND EXPERIENCE.
