Christina and Laysha are my new favorite people in this world! They’re on top of EVERY LITTLE DETAIL, even the one’s you won’t think of! I live in the states and took a big leap of faith when I chose them as my wedding planners, especially since I was really busy working (10hr/daily) and couldn’t find the energy to be super involved. Also, because they run their business on the island and there wasn’t much for me to involve myself in (eg; cake tasting)
Although I wasn’t able to communicate with them on a regular basis while they planned the wedding because of my work schedule, I was able to send them some inspiration photo’s and stress to them what was truly important to me (my arch was the most important) to have at the wedding. Not only did they get EVERYTHING right, but they nailed it with the arch!!! I was shocked. They are so talented and so professional.
Another reason I recommend that you hire them as your wedding planner is because they will do their best to work with you to keep costs down as much as possible. They’re not just about ripping you off and over charging you. They’re truly amazing. They made me feel so much better on my day and I loved them so much that I asked them to come an hour earlier than expected and they literally did! Just because they knew how nervous I was!
Christina and Laysha: thank you both so much for everything you did. My family loves you so much and so do I! PLEASE TELL ME WHEN YOU ARE VISITING MY OUR STATE! I have to see yall! -

The most amazing day!!
Laysha and her team were incredible! We reached out to her just about a year before our selected wedding date. From the get go, we knew we’d love her! I sent Laysha a few inspiration pics and she was always prompt to reply to emails and make suggestions. Every vendor she recommended was amazing! We were STRESS FREE the day of the wedding and everything turned out stunning! Exactly how we had envisioned the day to be. It was honestly the happiest day of our lives and we can’t thank Laysha and her team enough for everything they did for us. We hope to work with her again one day... 10 year vow renewal?!? Lol. 💕💕💕 If you are on the fence about having a destination wedding, DO IT! And book Laysha as your wedding planner. You will not be disappointed! -

My Husband and I got married at Secret harbor beach resort. Our room was located on the first floor and it was perfect while walking down the sand to my husband. Laysha our wedding coordinator was awesome in obtaining our marriage license application. She went the extra mile to ensure we had our application processed on the island . The views were awesome and we loved the background and scenic views during our ceremony. The officiant was so graceful in his words when marrying us.
This was an awesome experience and we loved the blue waters on St Thomas. Our memories will last forever! -

If there was a higher rating than 5.0 I would rate Laysha/Irie Matrimony as a 10! I was working with a local wedding planner here in the Midwest and didn't have the most confidence in her or feel completely comfortable with what she was doing but I thought that was probably a normal feeling when planning the biggest event of your life in a place you've never even been to..fast forward: I found Laysha through a facebook group where another bride had recommended her. I decided to send her an email and was very surprised to get a response back from her that same day! Reading her email back to me put me at ease much more than my current planner was and right then I decided to cut off my local planner and work with this woman I'd never met. From that moment on Laysha was there whenever I needed her! I told her my dreams for the wedding and she even helped me figure out the AMAZING reception that was beyond my wildest dreams. I mentioned how I wanted to do an activity as a wedding favor instead of a "traditional" physical favor. She ran with the idea and my reception turned into a magical catamaran ride with food, cookies, cupcakes, an open bar, and we got everyone 2 snorkeling trips. All of that for the price of my original Food and Beverage! I was floored. She was there for all my freak outs and cheered me on when I was excited about something. And when disaster struck (my flight sold our seats and we were stuck overnight in Puerto Rico!) Laysha was there the next morning and picked me up from the airport with a hug and drink in hand, and took us right to the courthouse to insure I got everything taken care of! As someone with extreme Anxiety, having someone I trust taking care of everything involving the wedding was the most important thing and my decision to hire Laysha was the best decision I've ever made! (Aside from marrying my husband I suppose :P ) Not only did I get the best wedding planner in the entire world, I also gained a really great friend that I will cherish for years! -

Laysha and her team were amazing! I didn’t realize planning a wedding from two thousand miles away could be so simple. Our wedding was beautiful, small and intimate. The day before the wedding, our oldest daughter had flight issues and was not going to be able to make it in time for the ceremony. We were crushed! But Laysha worked her magic changing the time and venue to make sure our baby didn’t miss our special moment. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! Laysha took care of everything and all we had to focus on was having an amazing wedding day. I would recommend her a thousand times over. -

After we got engaged in June 2017, my husband-to-be had what ended up to be the perfect idea have a destination wedding in St Thomas, USVI. What originally seemed logistically overwhelming ended up being the easiest, stress and worry free event planning I have ever done. Well, aside from those two category 5 hurricanes Irma and Maria. We traveled down to St Thomas in July 2017. We planned our entire wedding weekend over the course of a few days- had our engagement pictures taken by the wonderful Sage Hammond of Crown Images, had a cake and food tasting and met with our Rabbi at the Hebrew Congregation of St Thomas. Fast forward a few months, as you probably know, we were unsure if all of our planning, tasting and visions would come to fruition due to the devastation on the island. We decided to stick it out, kept in touch with all of our vendors and made the excellent decision to stick with our plans to get married in St Thomas. We couldn't have been happier! My husband was the first to contact Laysha (honestly, I told him if he wanted to have a destination wedding that he needed to help with the planning!) who did a wonderful job pairing us up with the perfect vendors, being our liaison with Secret Harbour (which after the hurricanes was not fully open at the time), keeping us on track with our planning timeline and so much more! I provided her with a few inspo pics (and when I say "a few" I literally had less than a dozen total pins on my Pinterest). My flowers were perfect. My hair and makeup were amazing. Our decorations were beautiful. The food and cake were delicious. Most importantly, all of our guests (29) had an amazing time and me and my husband were completely stress free during our time on the island. If you have any hesitation or reservation about having a destination wedding, I HIGHLY recommend working with Laysha. She is very skilled in her profession, well known on the island with connections for anything you may need for your wedding. We were her first, and most certainly not last, Jewish wedding. Her experience, attention to detail, calm demeanor, organization and wonderful personality made our wedding events the most perfectly wonderful, pleasant, worry free and positively memorable time! I would (and have!) highly recommend her to help plan your St Thomas destination wedding! -
Shannon Sent on 05/12/2018I cannot recommend Irie Matrimony enough for wedding planning! Trying to plan a St. Thomas wedding from Ohio would have been incredibly stressful, but Laysha made it SO easy! I cannot imagine going with anyone else. Laysha was VERY responsive to emails/texts and walked me through every detail of the wedding day and small reception afterwards. Even after 2 hurricanes postponed our wedding and devastated the islands, Laysha made us feel at ease to to keep the wedding in St. Thomas and move the date 4 months later.
We got married on Lindquist Beach, Feb 10, 2018 and had our reception at Secret Harbour.
The wedding itself was PERFECT. The decorations, the flowers, the bouquet, the violinist, and Laysha's team were beyond amazing. I only told Laysha what colors I wanted (purple and white) and somewhat simplistic and she NAILED it! I saw everything for the first time on the actual wedding day and I could not have done it better myself. Laysha's team did a great job working together and making the day flawless. The reception was amazing! We had a breakfast buffet with mimosa bar and it was beautifully setup as well as delicious! The flowers and decor were on point!
Our friends and family cannot stop talking about that beautiful day and how perfect it was. We are beyond thankful to have found Laysha and hope to come back for a vow renewal in the future! -

Kaitlyn Sent on 05/09/2018I would recommend Laysha and the Irie Matrimony team any day! I want to get married again just so i can work with her again! I don't even know where to start, having a destination wedding puts a lot of trust in the person/team planning YOUR wedding. I did not see the colors or flowers until the day of and that is a little scary, but Laysha pulled everything off perfectly without a problem and everything turned out better than i could have ever imagined! We had hurricanes to deal with that moved our whole itinerary and wedding date and Laysha made me feel at ease, even with her losing power and wifi from the storms, she still made sure she got a hold of me and let me know every thing was going to be alright! When we got to the island we got off our cruise ship and she had a taxi waiting for us to bring us to the beach and when we met her it felt like i have known her my whole life, everything went amazing even tho we only had 4 hours on the island since our cruise ship was leaving at 1 pm. we were married, photographed and had cake and champagne all before we had to head back to the ship and the best part was WE DID NOT FEEL RUSHED. Im hoping Laysha and the team will be able to do our vow renewal some day! Thank you again for making my best day ever the most amazing day ever! Love Kate and David

I can’t thank Laysha and the Irie Matrimony team enough! Our dream wedding came true thankfully to all their hard work. It was over a year of planning but so worth it. Laysha will provide all the vendors you need and work with you through everything, making your destination wedding so much easier since most of us are thousand and thousands of miles away.
