Our Perfect Day
Denise did an absolutely fantastic job with every facet of the officiant role ay our wedding. She customized each detail to be tailored to our day and added very genuine and romantic touches that had the crowd just as engaged in our wedding as we were. Wonderful wedding officiant!!
Denise was very helpful in preparing for our wedding day! She was always there for any questions that we had, and was very quick to respond! On our actual wedding day, she was very professional, and the ceremony was so well thought out and special to us as a couple! We would definitely recommend Denise to anyone looking for a wedding officiant in the future! -

The beat Wedding Officiant
Denise Gonyea was wonderful. She made her self viable and was easy to get hold if had any questions. She was so fixable and was able to give different options that I didn't even think about. She made us feel comfortable. -

Professional peace of mind
Denise was very professional and easy to work with! We enjoyed using her templates as a baseline for our ceremony and she was able to fine tune our script to fit our needs. She was very flexible, as we changed what we wanted to do for our unity ceremony about a week before the wedding. Her experience gave us the peace of mind that our ceremony would run smoothly, and it did! -

Wonderful!
We hired Denise for our wedding and she was just what we wanted for our wedding ceremony! We met with her once before our wedding and she helped us plan out our ceremony. She has a lot of experience and is very professional! She personalized our ceremony with some questions she had asked each of us privately and it made the whole thing a lot more special. She also took care of all the marriage license stuff after the ceremony and was very prompt with it! We can’t recommend her enough! -

Wedding ceremony officiant
Denise was such a gem to work with! She was extremely organized and made things go so smoothly the day of the wedding. We got so many compliments on our ceremony thanks to Denise — we even had multiple people ask if we were related to her, which is a credit to the hard work she put in to make the ceremony personable and unique to us. -

Helpful and Open to Whatever You'd Like To Do
Denise was a wonderful officiant! She gave us guidance on potential options for our ceremony but was also open to anything non-traditional that we wanted to do. Due to COVID we had some changes along the way. She was always extremely understanding and responsive. Highly recommend! -

Professional and Organized
When it came time to hire the officiant for our wedding, we were relieved when we met Denise. Her professionalism and organization really impressed both of us. She was personable during our initial meeting and put us both at ease. We loved all of the options she provided for us when it came to writing our ceremony, and she made herself available for any questions we had. She had a calmness about her during our ceremony that certainly made me feel better and helped me stay in the moment. We would highly recommend! -

Just fabulous!
Denise was truly amazing! She was fine to completely do everything or work with the material I provided. She made my best person cry during the rehearsal and the ceremony and did an amazing job wrangling participants who drank too much. We didn't have nearly all the details ironed out but she ensured it all went super smooth--even our Iranian sugar ceremony. More than that, she made me feel beautiful and important and I would recommend her to anyone! -

Denise was an incredible officiant for us. We found her on WeddingWire and are so glad we went with her. From the moment we met her in our initial meeting, we could tell she was going to provide us with a service that would be unique to us. We wanted a very short ceremony that was intimate and still capture the emotions we were feeling that day. Denise was so accommodating in helping us design a ceremony and vows that would be a true testament to our relationship. She did a great job keeping the ceremony rolling and making sure we were prepared through the rehearsal. My husband and I did not want a very religious ceremony, and Denise was great at helping us to come up with a way to incorporate a short prayer but then highlight the other aspects of marriage as well. We would highly recommend Denise to anyone who is in search of an officiant who is experienced, organized, and flexible! -

Something just felt right starting from our initial contact with Denise. We had several questions along the way and Denise gave us not only the answers we needed but other suggestions we had not considered.
Our wedding experience was wonderful, and having Reverend Denise Gonyea as our officiant made it that much more special.

I honestly can't say enough good things! Denise was very helpful and understanding. She worked with us to get everything just right, and was on the ball with everything from last minute paperwork to unforeseeable schedule changes. We would have been totally lost without her. -

Denise was very accommodating and worked to tailor the ceremony the way that we wanted it. We asked to remove all religious and gendered language from the ceremony and there was no problem in doing so. She performed wonderfully and we were very pleased with our officiant throughout the entire process. -

My husband and I chose to have a small local wedding. We live in Kalona, Iowa and chose The Tuscan Moon (a local restaurant) as our venue. Denise was so professional and helpful! From the beginning we were able to sit down and discuss how we envisioned our day going. Denise listened and helped us to find ways to make the day ours, while also giving us the traditional feel we were looking for. We could not have put together our day so beautifully without her.
I knew that while we were having a small wedding, there were details that I wanted to accentuate. My husband and I wanted to have traditional vows. Denise was so accommodating and provided us with many vow options, (wording, length, etc.) She was responsive to tailoring the vows to us specifically and communicated with us via e-mail and phone and in person to get it just right.
On our special day Denise was there to guide our ceremony- I felt very relieved to have someone who knew what they were doing. She helped us determine the when of it all and it all came together quite nicely!
I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding Officiant! Denise is professional, reliable, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! -

We were so happy we found Denise when we decided to renew our wedding vows for our 20th anniversary! To begin with, we had lost our original vows and Denise provided us with helpful suggestions from a collection of pre-written vows she has. Between these and adding our own personal thoughts, we had a renewal ceremony that was very meaningful to us. Denise's genuine warmth and kindness guided the entire tone of our renewal vows and she was an integral part of a very special day for us. Thank you, Denise! -
