Amazing Photos

Ion photographed our wedding in June 2022 and was great. We met with him in person to look at his portfolio and our personalities just meshed. He is professional and kind and brought a good energy to our wedding day. We had an open line of communication between phone calls, video calls, and emails. Ion is very passionate about his work and his pictures show the effort he puts forth. We had him running around the day of our wedding and he was able to capture everything we wanted. We had a large wedding party of 28 people, and it is no easy task to coordinate that many members, but he was able to capture all of us. Everyone has given us many compliments on our pictures. I would recommend Ion for any photography needs.

Ion is a professional in every sense of the word. He is not just a photographer, but also a true artist. The photographs from our wedding were beautiful and we truly will treasure them forever. Ion's rates are fair and he really is worth every penny. He worked with us every step of the way from the day we hired him to ensure that he had every angle of our day covered. Ion was extremely responsive to our inquiries, always on time, and his professional guidance was invaluable for us. Ion is also very personable and we had a lot of fun working with him. We highly recommend Ion, he is as good as they come!!!

Ion is superb to work with! Incredibly professional, but really personable and FUN! He clearly has a gift and knows what he is doing. Our situation was a bit unconventional where my husband and I remarried on what would have been our 20th wedding anniversary after being divorced for 5 years. Ion was professional and enthusiastic, excited for our reaffirmation and had wonderful ideas to include our daughters and family in ways we hadn't considered. He was able to capture the mood of the night and the joy of the event through his photography. We were thrilled with the portraits and the candids. He listened to our family dynamics and therefore gave careful thought to the orchestration of the family portraits. He was willing to accept suggestions for additional photos and added his artistic creativity to every piece of the process. We endorse Ion whole-hardheartedly both professionally and personally.

Ion was wonderful throughout the whole wedding process. Ion was easy to work with and he paid great attention to detail. Ion always responded promptly to my inquiries.
I was very happy with the way he handled the posed pictures...quickly, efficiently, and they look gorgeous. I had plenty of time to enjoy the event!
The candid shots are simply stunning! I couldn't be happier with the action photos.
I feel like I got the best of both worlds-great candid and posed photos!
Also, anytime I mentioned Ion's name to vendors they responded with relief and praise. They complimented his professionalism and talent!

My wife and I are so fortunate to have found Ion Zupcu. Ion did our engagement photo shoot and the photos for our wedding. We are amazed by the quality of the pictures. We asked Ion to design our wedding album for us. It is absolutely stunning. Ion clearly dedicated a lot of time and talent into making our album. It is truly a work of art. It is absolutely stunning. Bravo Ion!! Thank you so much! Finding the perfect photographer is truly one of the most important things one can do for a wedding. The pictures and the album are the enduring memory of the event. When we first became engaged we set up appointments with a few photographers. We happened to have met with Ion first and were so blown away by the quality of his work and the reasonableness of his prices that we booked him
on the spot and canceled the rest of our appointments. Each time we met with Ionor communicated with him we continued to be more and more impressed. Ion was extremely easy to work with. He was always extremely prompt with his replies and gave great suggestions and ideas. Within 3 days of our wedding Ion had a sampling of pictures for us. The pictures are completely amazing and look like they could be in a magazine. Ion's meticulous attention to detail and passion for photography are evident. We highly recommend Ion!

We could not be happier with our choice of photographer! Ion Zupcu was beyond professional, his years of experience , skill and love for his art, shows in every picture. He was thoughtful, honest and creative in every aspect of our engagement and wedding photos. He took his time, explaining and listening to our very detailed requirements of the most precious memory we would ever have, "our wedding Day". His easy and happy disposition put everyone at ease and made it feel natural and un-staged. He captured moments without us even aware of his presence that made me weep with joy when I first saw them. his commitment to us on our special day was evident in every aspect of care he took to reassure we had exactly what we wanted, and we did. His pictures captured so many fabulous, touching moments, I couldn't choose . I ended up doubling the size of my album, so not to miss one magical moment. Words cannot describe Ion. From our very first meeting, he was just wonderful. Not only does he listen to client’s ideas, but he makes them come to life. Each time we met with Ion, we were coming up with new ideas and making things happen. When it came to our engagement shoot, Ion worked tirelessly to make sure that we looked good and natural in our photos. He was in attendance at our rehearsal to give us pointers and walk through the next day with us. When the day of the wedding arrived, Ion was early in his arrival time. We had worked out a photo schedule in the months before the wedding and he followed that to a “T”. Our wedding party was very impressed with him and the easy nature that he took when it came to taking our photos. They loved the idea of doing pictures before the ceremony so we could enjoy the cocktail hour and reception. During the reception, it was like Ion was a fly on the wall. He was very unobtrusive and allowed everyone to have a good time. Four days after the wedding, Ion was sending a mock photo album to our e-mail so we could see some of the images he had captured and we were absolutely floored! Not only had he put together a 16-page album, you could tell he put his heart into his work to make sure it was something we would love. You can’t go wrong with Ion Zupcu. He will take the vision you have and make it 100 times better.

Ion was a treasure to find, and we are so grateful he was a part of our wedding celebration. He immediately put both my husband and myself at ease. As a film director, my husband was concerned about needing to "direct" any photographer we hired. Ion was the perfect fit and allowed my husband to truly enjoy our day. His attention to detail and preciseness, kept us on time and also got every picture and pose we wanted. He adjusted incredibly well to various issues during the day (late flowers, fire truck bringing bride to church, weather changes) rolling with each change and never allowing either myself or my husband to feel stress or anxiety. His ability to put people at ease and capture true moments was a surprising and wonderful talent. The hard work and dedication he put into our photos and designing our book was amazing and heartfelt. We have enjoyed every minute of working with Ion and strongly recommend him to every other couple. He is worth every single cent.

Ion was nothing short of fantastic and I have only good things to say about this man/photographer. From the start, I liked him off the bat. I had talked with a few photographers prior and their level of professionalism and experience did not even come close to Ion's. After we booked him, he came out to our house for an engagement shoot (which was helpful as we got to work with each other before the "big day"). It was a great intro to his style, and our own actions in front of the lens. He made sure to ask about details from who was in the family, to the order of the ceremony, and also, any concerns we had he was sensitive to. On our wedding day, Ion was smooth, calm and organized. He quickly became accustomed to who our family members were and made sure everyone who needed to - got a portrait with us - whether formal or informal. He clearly loves his job and it shows. In addition, Ion has a great sense of humor - which made him all the more awesome to work with. We were/are very happy with the pictures he took of us and I would recommend anyone looking for a wedding/event photographer to highly consider Ion. Lastly, I AM a photographer, and as a result, find myself to be VERY picky when it comes to other photographers. That being said, I hope you find my feedback helpful during the often overwhelming process of choosing a photographer to take pictures on a very important day.

We feel so lucky to have found Ion Zupcu as our wedding photographer. He was an absolute pleasure to work with — incredibly experienced, thoughtful, focused and easy-going, and of course, the photos are beautiful and really capture the excitement, meaningfulness and emotion of the day. He is a great listener during the planning process, and also incredibly creative and excited to share his own ideas and expertise. No matter how many questions we sent his way, he was prompt and thoughtful in responding. He took a lot of time to work with us to figure out exactly how we wanted to do photos at the wedding. He also took time to really get a sense of who we are as a couple, and that made for a wonderful experience on the wedding day — and gorgeous photos. Ion is also a talented artist (his work has appeared in NYC and Boston galleries) and this experience adds a lot to the way he approaches his photography. I recommend Ion a million times over.

I only have good things to say about Ion Zupuc. He wasn't on time BUT he was EARLY, extremely professional, provided good directions for taking group shots, provided quality photographs, and made the day easy. I would highly recommend him to anyone on their wedding or any other special occasion.

We loved working with Ion Zupcu for our wedding. The engagement photo shoot was a great way to get to know Ion and his style, and also to get more comfortable in front of the camera. For the wedding itself, Ion had helpful suggestions and also followed our lead about what, when and who to photograph, and he took fantastic shots - really wonderful. Ion has a warm and fun personality, and he does not draw attention to himself as he works. He does not use a flash, even in darker settings, and we REALLY appreciated that. We were also grateful for how quickly he posted our photos, and then how much time and energy he put into our album. Everything came out great, and we really enjoyed working with Ion. We'd highly recommend him for your wedding.

My husband and I chose Ion to be our photographer because we had seen his work and were thoroughly impressed. We were even more excited to work with Ion after we met with him. Ultimately he exceeded our expectations! Ion has a dedicated and caring work ethic. It isn't just another wedding or celebration to him. He makes you feel truly special and it shows in his beautiful work. Ion is a true artist with a unique and exquisite style. His eye for photography and editing is unmatched. In fact, he suggested the location for us to take pictures after the ceremony and those are some of our favorite pictures! We absolutely love our album and all pictures and we constantly get compliments on how amazing they look. Every time we look at our album we re-live our favorite day! Both he and his assistant helped our day to be smooth and enjoyable. Not only is Zupcu Photography an excellent choice, but it is very reasonably priced as well. We will definitely use Ion's services for future events and family photos!

Ion did a great job with both our engagement and wedding photographs. He did a lot of preliminary work to ensure that he knew the layout, and locations that would make the best photographs. His prices were reasonable and it was obvious that he was personally invested in the entire photographic process. Both my wife and I are very pleased with the finished photographic album. I highly recommend him!

I would absolutely recommend Ion Zupcu for wedding photography. Not only were his photographs absolutely stunning, but his personality and professionalism were a wonderful addition to the wedding day! I was comfortable with Ion from the moment we sat down and he truly listened to what my husband and I wanted out of a photo album. He has a perfect balance of posed and candid shots and managed to capture every moment we wanted to remember on film. I'm sure if you tried you could find a photographer who was cheaper, but it wouldn't be worth it. With Ion you certainly get everything you pay for and more. I would choose him again in a heartbeat.

Ion's eye for fine composition truly rendered some beautiful pictures of our wedding day. He was also a pleasure to accompany us on our special day- of utmost importance as making us, our bridal party, and our family feel comfortable was key to shooting us at our best. In fact, we were so pleased with Ion that my sister-in-law hired him for her wedding, and we invited Ion back to shoot our newborn baby girl's first photos.

My husband and I looked for a long time for a wedding photographer. I wanted great quality for a good price but there's not many photographers that can offer so in the Hudson Valley and the ones in the city are very pricy and not flexible! It is important to have someone do a great job on our once in a lifetime event.

Ion Zupcu was so friendly and professional, comfortable to work with and documented our wedding day based on our taste and within our budget! I couldn't be more happier honestly!!! Ion is a well known phototographer who has his photographs in galleries and museums and for my husband and I whom are both architects we value artists and good aesthetics!

Ion won us over by welcoming us to his studio, providing us with a free portrait so we can get accustumed to each other, listened to all my fuss about how I want to be photographed and suggested great ideas for our album design. The dedication and talent that Ion Zupcu brought to my wedding was more then we had hoped!

He documented us in our natural state and captured the emotional and fun times beautifully! I LOVE the layout of my album and our photographs!!! I am looking forward to having him photograph our baby in the near future!

We love our wedding photos and highly recommend Ion Zupcu as a wedding photographer. He is extremely hard working, has a lovely low-key manner and a delightfully dry sense of humor. Prior to the wedding, we decided what shots we wanted and it turned into quite a long list. Not only did Ion get every shot we asked for, but he also got many wonderful candid shots of the ceremony and reception that captured our day perfectly. All of our family and friends loved him and absolutely love the photos. We use one shot for our thank-you card and another for our holiday card, and we are still getting compliments on both. We couldn’t be happier!

We absolutely love Ion Zupcu. I was extremely nervous on the day and he was great at relaxing me and making me smile and laugh. He was exceptionally hard working and professional, but quiet and unobtrusive and he captured everything we wanted and so much more. Our family and friends loved him and his quiet, wry sense of humor. Of course, in the end its the photos that matter and boy what photos. Everyone looks great and everyone, yes everyone, was extremely happy with how they came out. We love our photos!!

Ion and his assistant made our day super easy. I was really impressed that he went out ahead of the wedding date and researched some places in the area where we could take wedding photos. It put us very much at ease knowing he had researched it ahead of time. He also proposed a really great schedule for the photos. I felt like he was way more organized than I was! We feel lucky to have found him! Highly recommend.

Ion takes lovely pictures, and made us laugh. Could have been a little less pushy with our timeline; we felt a bit rushed. But overall great value for the price.
