My fiance proposed to me by burying a bottle in the sand at the beach, so the InvitationInABottle was the perfect way for us to invite our guests to our wedding. The plastic bottles can be mailed without a box! You put the postage right on the bottle! The kits come with sand, but I used sand from the beach where I was proposed to in order to make it more personal to us. I also added some mini starfish I purchased from a different website to add a little more character to the bottle. Most all of our guests commented on the creativity and how it was the best invitation they had ever received! I'm really glad we found this vendor! -

We ordered our message in a bottle invitations from them, because we wanted something different, something memorable for our guests that showed the informal style of the wedding while embracing the fact it was a beach wedding. Our guests are STILL talking about them, they loved them and were showing them off. We loved how customizable it was, while not actually requiring work from us at all. We didn't have to address them or anything.. just paid slightly more and waited on people to receive them... -

I loved this site. Invitation in a bottle was perfect for my beach wedding. Of course it's more for an informal wedding, but they were great. A twist on a typical wedding invitation. Everyone commented on how great they were. You get the invitation and the response cards if you want. You can also send just the bottle, or send them in a box. You can also have them print the wording, or do it yourself. -

Our save-the-dates were ordered from magnetstreet.com and the one we selected had a washed ashore bottle with a message in it, on top was 'She said yes!' and on the note inside the bottle it had 'yes or no' with the 'yes' circled. These magnets were perfectly followed by our invitations (after going through dozens of books of normal invites yet still not happy) we found marketinginabottle.com which we were thrilled to have match our magnets previously sent to guests. You may choose to fill your own or have this company do it for you. We simply wrote what we wanted on the invitations; picked our colors for the confetti and the choice of paper and print; provided them with the names/addresses of our guests; and paid for the postage to eliminate our having to do it ourselves. They sent the invitations with the labels on them to everyone's mailbox (not in boxes at all simply the bottles were delivered) and it was not only a unique way but a wonderful keepsake for the guests as well. The only downfall I would say was that the rsvp cards (postage also attached) were small and curled up inside the curled up invitations so many guests had put them 'under' something such as a book to flatten them out before responding - that caused many not to remember to return them. (we had two that got thrown away, one was a russian woman who's daughter was in our bridal party and she had no idea what it was and the other was afraid to open it thinking it contained anthrax seeing the tiny white bells and doves). They also have baby bottles for showers and baby announcements with the actual nipples on them which are adorable. -

The first thing that attracted me, was their prices and the many options avaiable- I save almost half my budget. I was very pleased with my free sample. once I placed my order, they responded very quickly ensuring everything met my needs. Being a bride to be, i'm very picky but their patience was so accommodating and all my special instructions were filled accordingly. I will definitely use their services again. -

If you truly care about what the product is going to look like, then I would think twice before going with this company. All of my wedding invitations were splattered with ink spots and I had to go back and ask for them to be reprinted. Although I appreciate that they were reprinted at not cost, they should have been checked before being delivered to me. When we received the extra blank sheets of paper for wording to go on, they were crushed and crumbled, but the packaging that the rest of the order came in was not.
The professionalism of the person who I worked with for the wording of my invitations was atrocious. It was evident that they didn't even take a glance at their work before sending me a proof of the invitation. Words such as "the" and "October" were spelled incorrectly just to name a couple. I had the entire invitation spelled out with correct grammar and punctuation the way we wanted it, all that was needed was for them to transfer it to their format and into a proof with our logo yet their were numerous errors and we had to send back our proof to be edited multiple times.
Although everyone loved our very unique invitations, as did we at the end of all of it, if you need to save yourself time and a headache, I would suggest looking for another company. -

If I could leave zero stars I would
My experience with invitationinabottle.com has been an absolute nightmare and they completely ruined our wedding invitations.
The QR code included with our invitations — which their own representative, Shagay, suggested and confirmed would be free — does not work. When I followed up, Shagay admitted the proof she sent showed a working code, but after speaking with her manager (and after the invitations had already been mailed), she told me we would now have to pay extra for the QR code to function. This was never stated in the proof and directly contradicts what she told me originally.
To make things worse, the return labels were printed with my name twice. Shagay later replied that this was because I only wrote my own name in the shipping address. The order form didn’t allow me to include my fiancé’s name, and instead of contacting me to clarify, they simply printed my name twice — which looks sloppy and unprofessional.
Communication with this company is awful. They rarely respond to emails, never answer the phone, and have not returned a single call. Guests have already reached out to us because the QR code doesn’t work, which is humiliating and stressful on top of everything else.
For such an important event, invitationinabottle.com has shown gross negligence, misleading practices, and terrible customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs. -

Hi, my name is Chelsea. I have been waiting for my invitations for over 4 weeks now. I have been sending countless emails to only receive nothing back. If i knew they would take this long i would have gone with another option but it had said it would take 2 weeks. I am hoping to get a refund asap as I'm concerned non of this will follow through. If you are extremely patient than this place with worth the risk other wise go else where were they will follow through with promised shipping times. -
