Innovative Gourmet delicious and friendly catering!
Maria,
I want to say thank you for everything you and your company did for our wedding on August 22nd, 2022! You all went above and beyond to make sure every request was met and every detail was perfected. I’ve heard nothing but praise from the guests who appreciate how delicious and beautiful everything was. We could not have had a more perfect wedding and I want to thank you for being such a huge part of that. Your advice and patience will be forever appreciated as well as how polite and friendly all of your staff was on the big day. Thank you for being there every step of the way and ensuring that we had everything we wished for and more. I’m so glad we were recommended Innovative Gourmet for our wedding day, you all truly made such a difference and we are so grateful.

Maria was such a wonderful and helpful caterer!! My guests kept coming up to us during the reception to say how amazing the food was. And I couldn't agree more. It was that good! They have so many food options to choose from, and Maria made sure we had a balanced menu for our guests. What you need from any vendor is great communication, guidance, and advice. I got that all from them 🙂 Everyone from this business made my reception absolutely perfect. -

I worked with Maria via email to set up a menu for our reception. She was super responsive, accommodating, very kind and helpful, and answered all of my million questions. Unfortunately, we ended up having to change our venue because our guest count became too large for the space, and we ended up using a restaurant to make things easier. Ultimately, I wasn't able to use Innovative Gourmet. However, I know it would have been a great experience with them, based on previous reviews I've read and how wonderful Maria was to work with! I highly recommend!! We will definitely use them in the future for any catering needs! -

I loved working with Kim and Maria from day one! Kim answered the phone, and we started chatting like were best friends! From there on, every time we came in, she always made us feel like were here only priority. She helped us sort things during a chaotic time (planning a wedding in a pandemic) and always offered honest opinions when I asked. Maria helped to set up the day of, and while I didn't get to work as much with her directly, everyone who did said how hard she worked and problem solved! Thank you both!
The food was amazing! My guests are still talking about the passed appetizers. We got the Kona Crusted Bistro Loin: Filet of beef, rubbed with fresh tarragon, rosemary, olive oil, and cracked peppercorns, drizzled with creamy horse radish sauce and the Cod Mare Chiaro: Red and yellow cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, capers, parsley, and fresh lemon, and we would be happy to order either in a restaurant for dinner. -

If you are looking for a caterer, call Kim at Innovative Gourmet! Not only was their food over the top delicious, it was creative, fun, and beautifully displayed. Kim took the time to listen and was able to create my daughter's dream wedding. Our guests are still raving about the food, the professional and courteous staff, and the New Orleans "format" which consisted of heavy hordourves, amazing food stations, and fully stocked bars. Innovative's Pastry Chef prepared the most beautiful cake complete with New Orleans traditional "Cake Pull" charms! As the Mother of the Bride, I am so thankful that they were able to bring our hometown traditions to life here in Ellicott City! Their name says it all!!! -

My husband and I worked with Innovative Gourmet for our wedding catering, and they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our guests complimented the food and the bartender in spades, and Kim helped us plan out every step of the night in advance, so that we could relax and enjoy the ride on the day-of. They even prepared a themed drink for us at no extra charge. Innovative Gourmet was truly a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Kim and Maria! -

Innovative Gourmet was our favorite from first taste. They were our third caterer tasting and the first where we were blown away with every dish, with not one complaint or thing we'd change. Each dish presented to us during the tasting was not only incredibly delicious, but so carefully and beautifully presented. It was clear from then that they take great care and pride in their work! So the decision to hire them was a no-brainer. Kim was very responsive and helpful during the planning process. One of the reasons we picked IG (besides the delicious food) is because they were very familiar with our venue, which has a very unique layout. So Kim was extremely helpful in helping us figure out the flow and placement of everything. One thing I will say is to carefully read your agreement and discuss your rentals (chairs, linens, china, etc.) plan with them. They work with a major rental company (which is great!) and will set their items up for free, but if you want to rent from a different company, just know that that company will have to set up the items - or IG will for a fee.
Kim and the rest of the staff were simply amazing on the wedding day! They made sure we were well-fed and had a drink in-hand during all of the craziness. Our guests are still raving about the food! -

Wow, where do I even begin? Working with Innovative Gourmet was an absolute dream and pleasure. Kim was always so helpful and quick to answer my many emails, calls, etc. She truly went above and beyond to ensure that our big day was everything we imagined it being! The staff that worked our wedding were also wonderful, always checking in to give me food, water and drinks as I danced the night away as a new bride. The food was AMAZING. My guest raved about it and went back to seconds and thirds. I would highly highly recommend Innovative Gourmet to anyone planning an event! -

Got so many compliments on the food from our guests! Said they’d never had wedding food that tasted so good! They took care of us throughout the night, bringing us drinks and appetizers after the ceremony while we were doing photos and made sure we had anything we needed. They even packed up some leftovers for us that were a godsend when we finally came down from all the craziness and found ourselves starving at midnight. We didn’t have a planner and they went above and beyond what I would have expected from a caterer like helping make sure my train was straight before I walked down the aisle. Can’t recommend them enough! -

We would highly recommend Innovative Gourmet to all. They catered to our different menu request and were patient with all of our questions , comments , & concerns. The tasting was fantastic and it surely did not disappoint the day of the wedding. All of our guest complimented the food after the wedding. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Innovative Gourmet was the perfect caterer for my husband and I's wedding of 222 guests in Hunt Valley, MD August 2019. Kim and team were a dream and flexible to work with. The company worked out all our ideas/details and went above and beyond to make everything look beautiful and taste amazing. Innovative Gourmet is more than just food catering service. They helped throughout our entire big day and we couldn't have done it all without them. We had nothing but great compliments from all our guests on all the cocktail hour and dinner service foods. Kim worked out a beef, chicken, and vegetarian menu that accommodated all of our varying guests. I highly recommend this company to any couple to use for their big day! -

We are so happy Innovative Gourmet catered our wedding celebration. They were so detail oriented and incredibly flexible throughout the year of us planning our wedding. Our tasting was amazing but of course the real test was if they could keep that quality up for 165 guests, and they absolutely did! Everyone is still talking about the food! The Innovative Gourmet staff was awesome as well, they kept things tidy, glasses full annnnnd napkins folded. We are so impressed with them! And I must say, Kim is a super woman! She was there for me every step of the way, I felt like I had a wedding planner for the full year because of her. We are so grateful for everything they did for us in making sure we had the most perfect evening! Thank you! Thank you!!! -
Mai-Ly Sent on 09/23/2018I couldn't have been more pleased with Innovative Gourmet as our wedding caterer at the AVAM on 9/15/18! With my husband being away several months ago, my father in law and I did the food tasting and I immediately fell in love with the unique flavors in the food. Maria was very open to accommodating to any of our dietary needs of our guests and blew us away with presentation. I convinced my husband it was the right choice, even though he didn't get to sample the food at the tasting (and after one bite on our wedding night, he said it was just as good as I described!) From then on, Kim spent so much time speaking with us in person and over email to make sure the food, set up, and general reception atmosphere was perfect and matching to our vision. Set up, break down, and service was flawless throughout the entire night and our guests RAVED over the food! If you care about great food as much as we do, we'd 100% recommend Innovative Gourmet!

Our experience with Innovative Gourmet was great from start to finish. Kim responded to my inquiry right away and scheduled us for a tasting two weeks after my initial call, which was a huge factor in our decision, as the other 3 vendors we were considering either asked us to sign on prior to a tasting, or didn’t make it a priority. We were pretty much sold at the tasting. The food was EXCELLENT. Kim not only answered all of our questions, she asked us about things we had not thought of and really helped us go from our basic idea to a real plan for our day. Kim was very responsive, great attention to detail, and very pleasant and helpful all around. We got exactly what we wanted, and more. On our wedding day, we worked with Maria. She and her staff put together a beautiful display, including arranging our decor for us, adding little touches that were just perfect. (i.e. arranging pieces of our extra flower bouquets to the table centerpieces) and making the decor we provided really look classy and elegant. Our guests LOVED the food. I can’t tell you how many times we were told “this is the best wedding food I’ve ever had” Highly recommend!! -
