Wedding Day

Phil and Eddie were very accommodating to what we liked, they made the day fun for all our guests and were very professional in all their efforts. That’s guys for making it fun for us.

Wonderful Entertainment Company

Working with In the Mix for my wedding day was a wonderful experience. They came highly recommended by our venue, so we thought we’d check them out. From my first meeting with the owner, David, I was impressed. David was professional, kind, engaging, and took the time to explain how his team works and answered any questions I had. We decided to book In The Mix to manage our ceremony and reception music, photo booth, and wedding Gobo.

When we got closer to the wedding, we had a meeting with their coordinator, Phil, who we worked with to create the run of show for our ceremony and reception and finalize our music selections. Phil was phenomenal and was our point of contact leading up to the wedding. He was responsive, accommodating, and even managed to fit in some last-minute changes to our wedding song and “must play” list.

On the day of our wedding, everything was flawless. Our DJ, Elton, was wonderful, and our MC, Rob, was fun, engaging, and really knew how to keep our guests excited and dancing. Until this day, we still get compliments on the music selection and photo booth. I highly recommend In the Mix for all your entertainment needs. They really are great to work with!

Wedding 5/1/21

We went with In the Mix after seeing them at another wedding we attended. We had David as our MC and him and the DJ were great. Even with all of the restrictions David tried to make it as fun as possible. They played a great selection of music that hit all
The genres we were looking for.

We can't thank IN THE MIX enough!!!!

This review is long overdue as we got married back in October. In the Mix is hands down the best entertainment company around. They came through HUGE for our wedding and our guests are still talking about how great the music was. From the months leading up to our wedding we knew we were in good hands from all the conversations ands planning we had done with Dave and Gina. Of course on the wedding day things can be a little stressful but seeing the In the Mix team walk into our venue, we knew that was one less thing we had to stress about. Our MC (Dave) is the man and had us on schedule all night. Our Zap photographer caught the best candid photos of our wedding and everyone loved the Photo Booth. We couldn't have asked for a better team. We highly recommend this company for weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens, etc.

Amazing!

In the Mix entertainment was absolutely incredible! The music was amazing, the Photo Booth and scrap book was so fun and such a good reminder to have! All of my guests said that the music was the best, better than any other wedding! Would 10/10 recommend!

Wedding Day

A bride will usually be at peace on her big day when all the plans that were made are seamlessly executed. The planning stages is where the anxiety really gets her.

From my first call to set an appointment to the very last dance at the reception on my wedding day, the staff at "In the Mix Entertainment" have been absolutely amazing, meeting my every demand, settling every anxiety.

I would like to thank Gina D, Gina C who assisted me with my song selection and especially David and Ivery who were the DJ and MC at my wedding. You helped to make my day beautiful, for that I'm truly grateful! I will never forget. I will be the first to recommend your company.

Best decision ever!

I am so happy with our decision. We planned our wedding in 3 months and they helped us out so much. I couldn't have imagined a better duo to get the party started and keep our friends on the dance floor. They made an already amazing night perfect.

Flawless from start to finish

There was no question in our minds when picking a DJ to use anyone other than In The Mix. We had seen them at other weddings and they always had the crowd dancing and having a great time-this was no different at our wedding. From the inquiry to meeting with them to the day of, everything was stress free and exactly what we wanted :)

Where do I even start! Gina , David , Edison And Corey did an amazing Job. Everything was perfect the music was amazing along with the pictures that went up on our TV screens! Best DJ Company

Dave & his staff were amazing and such a delight to work with. I did not provide any specific song lists but knew exactly what to play to get my guests dancing. I will hire them anytime for another party I plan to host in the future.

So happy I went with In the Mix for my special day!

In the Mix was referred to me by a friend and I'm so grateful I listened to her. I would have never heard about this DJ company otherwise, but I'm so glad I did because from the very beginning they were so friendly and had such great personalities. I knew they would be the right company to get my guest in the party mode. Their prices was great too! We were able to upgrade and get
two TV screens with Zapp photos and Bose stereo speakers for the price of a basic package at other companies. Our families aren't big dancers, but they were able to get people up and on the dance floor with their high energy and excitement. So grateful to In the Mix for making my special day perfect!

Perfect dj + mc

Two of my friends used in the mix at their wedding and we had such a good time that i had to use them for my own wedding! My guests at my wedding also loved them and wants to use them for their future wedding.

Amazing DJ Company!

My husband and I used In The Mix for our wedding on June 23rd this year. We had a DJ, MC, percussionist, and photo booth. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding with as much dancing as there was at our wedding! We got SO many compliments on how amazing our DJ was. People also loved the percussionist; she was a great added feature. This company was also very responsive, accommodating, and reasonable. I plan to contact them for any future events that I might need a DJ for!

Excellent and unforgettable

We had our wedding on 10/26/2018 and these guys did an amazing job! I could not be happier with the way everything turned out. Our MC was fabulous and the djs kept people on the dance floor. Amazing, perfect!

100% fantastic! A dream to work with. Our venue recommended them after another company we were going to meet with kept canceling our appointment. We met with David and Gina and never looked back. They are so modern, fun, friendly and really listen to you. David even recommended our invitation place for us. They added in some extras for us and it was great! They really listened to us and respected our “must play” and do not play” list. Rav (spelling?) and Eddison were our MC/DJ and they were great! The guests loved them and we loved them! The dance floor was always full and the music was exactly what we wanted. Best DJs in the business! Love, love, love!

Our biggest concern for our wedding other than the venue was the DJ. We wanted our wedding to be a night of fun and dancing. Our DJ July and our MC Ivery made this request come true. Our guests were on the dance floor all night! They could not stop talking about the great time they had. Our DJ and MC were professional, fun and were in tune to what we wanted that night. We also requested the light up columns with two tv screen package. This package came with photographer who took in the moment pictures which we loved! The pictures scrolled on two tv screens throughout the night. The columns added a beautiful touch to our dance floor. I'd recommend In the mix for any special event you're having.

In The Mix made my wedding everything I imaged and more. Besides the music they were able to help me deal with last min changes with my wedding schedule and folks who were trying to be extra at the wedding. The whole team was amazing and went above and beyond for my husband and I. As my friends were saying "wedding of the century" and "Your DJ team were the best hype men in the world"! Much love from the He-Kahls and I would recommend their services to everyone!

Gina was AMAZING to work with. Out of all the vendors we sat with, she was the greatest listener, heard our vision and made sure we were 100% satisfied. She made us feel at ease every step of the way. In the Mix definitely knows what they're doing. DJ and MC were PERFECT. I was so worried about the flow of the night because my need to incorporate some Arabic music with some Hip Hop, but it ended up sounding great, all of our guests loved it, I was truly impressed. The MC had the crowd going, it was the best night of our entire life and we owe A LOT of it to In the Mix. You guys did it!

In The Mix made my wedding the most talked about part of my wedding. My guests would not stop talking about the music!!! David and his team are absolutely the best. Everything from the ceremony to the reception were perfect. DJ knew how to read the crowd and get them on their feet. All the other things in the mix has to offer from the photo booth to the tv screens were just the perfect touches to make the event different from all the rest. Nothing but the highest of accolades for these guys! Gina was the initial contact we had with the company and she was nothing but professional and helpful. Our MC was Ivory and he was amazing throughout the whole night. Everyone was dancing and just so into the music and atmosphere he along with the DJ created. They didn't miss a beat with the music. We didn't put many songs on our requested list beforehand and instead let them dictate and make their own choices based off of the crowd and how people were responding. They did an amazing job at that. Can't emphasis enough how awesome they were and how much fun our reception was because they were so on point the entire night!

We could not possibly speak highly enough to describe how happy we were with In the Mix. They absolutely killed it. Everyone was up and dancing the entire night, friends and family alike. We received numerous complements on how excellent the music variety was and how great the MC was. David is the man! One thing we learned that we will share with friends in the future is the DJ and MC will set the tone for the entire reception, it is worth spending more for quality and In the Mix is just that. If you go elsewhere, your making a mistake. We recommend In the Mix without reservations.

In the Mix did a great job with our wedding! They knew our venue VERY well and were so easy to talk to. Always got fast responses, and even spoke on the phone a few times. Very thorough, and have already recommended to another bride!

At first, I requested David because I've seen him MC at a few of my friends weddings and he was always on point.
However, my wedding was on a labor day weekend and he was already booked.
I was hesitant to trust anyone else that I haven't seen first hand but luckily Zac (MC) & Steven (DJ) showed up to my wedding.
They did an amazing job!!! Zac definitely kept the crowd hyped. His transitions into every event in the reception, from the entrance to the cake cutting were all smooth.
Steven played all the songs I requested and other songs similar to my taste. He also added some last minute requests during the reception as well.
They constantly had all my guests on the dance floor partying!
More than 2 months has passed since my wedding and I'm still receiving compliments on picking the best DJ/MC!
We ALL had a blast!

In the Mix has been a part of MANY of our family events for over 10 years and they still are dropping the beat in the Best ways. We used In the Mix for our wedding on 10/21/17 in upstate NY and Everyone loved them! We danced till we couldn't dance any more. Extremely easy to work with from Start to Finish. Gina, David and Edison made our wedding the Hottest dance party I have been to since my B.O.B's days (and that's saying a lot!). They Rocked it out for us and we couldn't be more grateful. We saw In The Mix at a wedding showcase, and pretty much made our decision on the spot that night. We met with David and Gina a few days later, and knew we were set with our entertainment for our wedding. As the days came closer the communication was constant, and with all the stress of the day coming up it was great to know all music and entertainment details were worked out. They were extremely forthcoming, honest, and accommodating. On the day of our wedding they were there early, setup, and ready to go when it was time. David who emcee'd the event got everyone on their feet and on the dance floor. The music selection was spot on, and inclusive of all age groups at our wedding. Not one person felt the music was geared towards only one age group, and that was extremely important to us. I would book In the Mix for every event I have for all the reasons states above. Jonathan and Steven also worked our event as the DJ and running the photo booth did such an amazing job. All of our guests were so impressed by not just the professionalism of this trio, but also by how much fun they were. If you're looking for the best entertainment company on Long Island look no further than In the Mix.

They were the best dj ever!!! Everyone said that my wedding was the best one they ever been too and a huge part of it was because of in the mix. Cory and Dave were absolutely amazing and made sure everything was perfect; from the ceremony to the reception, we couldn't have asked for a better dj/mc to help us and our guests celebrate. Guests who normally don't dance we're up on their feet and EVERYONE raved about how great the music was.

We also used In The Mix to offer our guests a photo booth experience and we were beyond impressed with the props and photo options!

I could not be more happy that we chose "In the Mix" for our wedding entertainment. From start to finish, they have been so easy to work with and they were able to give us the exact vision that we had for our wedding. Gina is a master coordinator. I never felt there was a request too big or complicated that couldn't be executed. I received quick responses whenever I had a question (Which happened quite a bit :) ).

The day of the wedding, David was on time and everything was great. Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour with the perfect playlist to get everyone ready for the reception. Our bridal party entrance was exactly what we had pictured. We did not hire a separate MC, so David coordinated it all on his own, but you never would have known. Once the reception started, we did not stop dancing. We were able to see every single person dancing at our wedding at least once, and that was the most impressive thing to me. He always knew the right song to play to get everyone of different ages up on the dance floor. I had originally given David a huge list of all of these songs that we wanted played because I am a bit of a control freak and the dancing was so important to us. About 10 minutes before the reception started, I told him to just forget about the list and just play what he thought was best. This was one of the best decisions that I made that day! Micromanaging your DJ is completely unnecessary when you have someone who is talented, passionate, and is able to feel the crowd. So if you are making one of those long song lists, save your time and throw it away right now. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me we had the best wedding DJ they had ever seen, I probably would have been able to pay for this wedding! :)

In The Mix is hands down the best DJ company I have ever had the pleasure to work with. My venue recommended them to me & from the first meeting with Gina & David I knew they would make my wedding day unforgettable. Little did I know that what they would do for my wedding would be beyond words.

They were always accommodating with answering my incessant questions whether it be via phone or email & they made arrangements to work around my hectic work schedule which i more than appreciate!

My wedding was this last Friday & it was a blast all thanks to David, Cory, Ivery & Stephanie & of course Gina even though she wasn't actually there! My guests haven't stopped raving about how amazing the music was and how they want to have a party just so they can hire them! Everyone has amazing personalities and great mic skills and knows how to keep the party going, From the start of the wedding no one wanted to get off the dance floor.

My wedding wouldn't have been as amazing as it was if it wasn't t for you guys and i can't thank you enough for everything!!!!

I'm going to start out by saying everyone in this office is beyond great ! My husband and I had our wedding last night and we had the pleasure of having David and Edison they did not disappoint. They did my sister and her husbands wedding several years ago and it was a blast but last night exceeded every expectation that I could ever have had.. these two men killed it. We had a great experience with In the Mix from start to finish. Gina was always responsive and helpful, and David impressed us so much at our first meeting that we specially requested him as our MC for the wedding. He and our DJ did a great job of keeping our night on track, playing the perfect songs for the moment and keeping everybody on the dance floor. In the Mix was absolutely fantastic! They played all the right music to have out guests and myself dancing all night. My wedding was a full West Indian wedding and they had the older generation and the younger generation dancing all night long. Perfect mix of songs. We used In the Mix this past weekend for our wedding and they were amazing. All the music they played was prefect for our party.

The MC David was truly great. He kept everyone excited and dancing, and adapted very easily (especially when me and my Husband decided to do one last dance before dinner, he had the venue re dim the lights, and got everyone up to dance with us).

They exceeded all our expectations and I would highly recommend them for weddings.

We have a reunion of our 8th grade graduating class from 43 years ago! We wanted music from the late 60's and early 70's. We also had several songs that were special to our class. In The Mix provided the DJ services and they did a fantastic job ! Franklin was our DJ and he played the music that we were looking for and all our special requests ! In The Mix really listened to our request for something a little different from the ordinary !

In the mix was truly amazing! David was so awesome! His professionalism and enthusiasm was beyond what I could have expected. Our venue booked them for us for our wedding. There were a lot of mishaps (on the venues part) when it came to our contract & package but David was amazing and reassured us everything would be fine. On our wedding night they had everyone dancing... And I mean everyone. We had such an amazing time. The percussionist was definitely an awesome touch. I would book them again the first second I have an excuse to throw a big party! Definitely worth every penny.

The team at In the Mix Entertainment Group was fantastic! They were extremely helpful and made sure to personalize our wedding from the day we met them. The team is flexible and easy to work with. The staff at In the Mix Entertainment were absolutely wonderful in handling the music for our wedding. We sat down with Gina and David with an extensive list of song selections as well as specially edited reception introduction music and they worked closely with us on all of it.

The day of our wedding was spectacular! David, our MC, and Eddie the DJ, had high energy throughout the reception and kept the dance floor packed. There was not a dull moment or a time when no one was either dancing or singing along. They integrated our playlist with a great mix of 70’s Soul/Disco, R&B, Oldies, Salsa, Techno Dance Music, etc. You name it, they played it!

You know it’s a good party when the MC says, “this will be our last 2 songs of the night” and the whole crowd goes “aww” in disappointment. No one wanted to stop and we could have gone all night if the venue allowed us to!

Everyone commented on how great our wedding was and In the Mix Entertainment was one of the reasons why. I highly recommend them for any event you host. You and your guest will be truly satisfied!

People are still commenting on how amazing our music and DJ were. Dave and his crew made our wedding memorable. We had the time of our lives and it was everything that we dreamed of. Dave knows how to get the crowd up and dancing. They played songs that everyone loved. It was hard to leave the dance floor to eat. After meeting with a few different vendors, we knew that In the Mix was the right choice. Not only had we experienced the quality of their work at a previous wedding, but their representatives knew exactly what we were trying to accomplish for our wedding having to cater to a Latino and West Indian crowd. They were very professional, fun and engaging. They worked around the crowd's interest and had the party pumping from beginning to end. We were married in August, 2015. We met with Dave from in the mix the previous winter and we knew right away that we were using this company. Dave's energy lasted from the second we met him until the last song on our wedding day. Him and his staff were very easy to work with and Dave went over every detail with us because he wanted our day to be as perfect as we did. They are very honest as well. They will tell you exactly what you need in the room you're getting married in, without trying to sell you the most expensive options they offer. We had seen in the mix at 2 previous weddings we had gone to, and everyone was dancing all night long. It was no different at our wedding. Wedding planning can be stressful, so make your lives easier and go see Dave at in the mix. It will be your first and only stop!

In the Mix provided DJ services for our March 2015 wedding. From start to finish I could not have been happier. Gina is great and was always responsive to my questions/emails. My husband and I provided a list of requested songs and Edison and Corey totally understood the vibe we were going for. They played all of our requested songs at appropriate times. All of our guests, with a wide range of ages, were on the dance floor. Even my cousin who recently had hip surgery was dancing with her crutches. In The Mix MADE our wedding. The dance floor was packed all night and I have received so many comments on amazing our DJ was. First off thank you all the staff from In The Mix! We first met Gina at the Long Island office and she was very friendly, professional, and informative and patiently guided us through the process of the wedding contract and choosing extra items. Our MC Rob was great during our wedding and interactive with the guests and looked like he was having fun too. He met with my husband and I before the reception started to make sure of our music choices and for any further questions. I was being pulled left and right for photos and outfit change that I felt like I missed most of my own party, but the guests all had fun and told me they loved the photo booth (although I wish I got one with a bigger standing space), the pianist was a nice touch at the ceremony, enjoyed the music and atmosphere and the guys from In the Mix were great dancing with the guests and helping at the photo booth. Definitely will book with In The Mix DJ again for a future event. The staffs were all very professional, sociable and entertaining.

So happy with our decision to use In the Mix for our wedding day! I didn't give them a playlist or anything, just told them I wanted a fun party and that's exactly what they did. The music was great for our reception. They made sure to play a good mix of music to include all ages. I have received so many compliments about the photographer that they had taking picture throughout the evening. The pictures were instantly uploaded to the TV monitors and we had a copy of them all two days later. I would definitely recommend their services!

In The Mix was awesome! They let you pick a number of songs to make the ceremony and reception personal, but also played off the vibe of the guests and really kept the party going all night! My husband even wanted to do a crazy Dirty Dancing skit for the garter belt, and they executed it perfectly. It was hilarious. And everyone loved the Photo Booth they also provided. I bought a special scrapbook to put the photo strips in and it came out great. They really listened to everything we asked for and made the party something to remember. We had an amazing time and danced all night. Who doesn't want to have fun (and for everyone else to have fun) at their wedding? Thanks guys! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We are beyond thrilled with our choice of In the Mix! They absolutely killed it. They kept the party going and all our guests (and ourselves!) had an amazing time. We actually had a few people throughout our wedding reception ask who the DJ was as they were really great. We didn't make a must play list or anything, figured just let them do their thing which worked out fantastically. They did however play the few requests we made on the day of. They also double checked with us before playing some questionable requests from guests which we vetoed so definitely appreciate that! They did a great job at my wedding. I am Colombia and they were able to find a DJ that speaked spanish. Also althought they ask for the top 10 songs I provided a whole playlist, just in case the DJ had some of those songs. He played a lot of the songs I choose and the party was great. He did a great job! Since the first day when we went to book the service I wa simpressed. I was working in Boston and could only meet on a weekend. They did an exception for me and opened on a Saturday. Very professional, very courteous and it was very easy to deal with them. When in doubt I called the company and they always had my file and were able to clearly tell me the status and everything. I had no worries or issues at all.

I got married May 25, 2014. David from In the Mix was our DJ. From the moment that I met David, I got a vibe that he totally understood the vision that I was trying to convey at my wedding. The day of my wedding David showed up on time, he was very professional and dressed appropriately, which I really appreciated. He was very accommodating and eager to please. He went over all of the music and announcement instructions with me- which put me at ease and gave me confidence that my day would go well. David did not disappoint. In the Mix was absolutely incredible on our special day. From the moment we met with David 18 months before, there was an instant connection. He understood the vibe we were going for, he had a great and professional personality, and he delivered on everything promised.

Every song we requested, was played. The music flowed perfectly all night. His MC skills were excellent. They took photos and put them on the Plasma TVs, got the crowd engaged and just delivered a home run.

110% effort from the entire team in making this day perfect. 3 thumbs up!!!

The DJ (July) set up in time and provided music before and during the ceremony. He was attired very professionally. He played much of the music I requested and added his own. He got people up on the dance floor. He made the right announcements and had a wonderful personality. He took requested from guests.

I would have liked to meet him beforehand so as to make me feel more relaxed.

Awesome DJ company! David rocked it and Gina was so helpful planning out music list . They made a beautiful custom Gobo by some images we had sent them. We also opted to do the rose dance- it was such a beautiful and unique touch we got lots of great feedback on that. They give out beautiful LED powered roses that all the guys are called up to give to their lady and dance to a slow love song loved- it and still have my rose! <3

From the minute we met Dave from In the Mix, we knew we had found the right man to MC our wedding. It was really important to my fiance & I that we not have cheesy entertainment at our wedding, but still get the crowd up on the dance floor. Without a doubt, Dave & DJ Jack got our guests out on the dance floor for every minute of our reception. We felt like we had good friends running our reception & you can't ask for anything better! I want to get married all over again just so I can have another night like they created for us. I would recommend them over & over again. From start to finish, we felt we got a great price but more so, that it was money very, very well spent.

they were wonderful. I first met them at my cousins wedding, and they were so good we decided to use them for ours.
they were able to make changes the day of with regards to songs, and definitely very flexible.
would def recommend. just wish the venue allowed us to party and dance more... a lot of time was spent eating. boo!

Let me first start by saying that our dj & mc, David & evan were very professional, energetic, & fun. We were so happy that we chose this company for our wedding. They kept everyone out of their seats for the entire wedding. David was very creative when I told him that we had to come up with a game to get rid of the centerpieces. The game he came up with had all of our guests engaged.
They were both involved with the guests on the dance floor. They played an arrangement of music that catered to everyone.
Great job & will definitely recommend this company to anyone catering a party or wedding.

We loved all of our vendors. Our dj company did a great job! We didn't have an MC but our dj kept the music going! My husband and I saw our guests on the dance floor at all times which is always a good sign at a wedding! Can't thank our DJ enough!

I'd heard them at my friend's wedding a few years ago. The wide variety of music they played made it was one of the most fun weddings I'd ever attended. I was thrilled that they'd be willing to travel from NY to MD to play our wedding, and with no "travel fees"! They were extremely professional, easy to work with, and we were able to customize the music for our reception.

Our only issue was that of the 3 songs played for our entrance, one was the wrong version (we didn't realize the "radio edit" wasn't the original version of the song). However, they had the other version and were able to play it later in the reception. It's been over a year, so I don't remember the exact specifics of how we communicated our entry song choice to them, but perhaps it would be possible in the future to play samples of songs on the site to avoid that possible confusion for future events? Just a thought!

Overall, we'd have no reservations recommending them to others all along the east coast.

In the Mix was the 3rd provider we met with for DJ/MC services for our Wedding Reception. We met with David initially and he was easy to work with and took his time explaining everything. We also went with the lighted columns and white board in front of the DJ Booth. After the initial meeting we communicated with Gina for all questions we had and for payment. She was responsive and always replied to our emails within a couple of days. The week of the wedding, we met with Gina one more time and gave her a CD of the songs for our first dances and additional music we wanted played. My husband has a long last name(14 letters) and Gina made sure she got the correct pronunciation of it which David made no mistake with on the day.
The day of the reception, we heard David and Rasheed from the bridal suite, testing their music equipment . They came to us and introduced themselves which was a nice touch and confirmed minor details with us. From the entrances to the dances to the partying, they were on par the whole night. David was outstanding with the mic, kept everyone entertained and the DJ Rasheed was amazing.
My husband's family is Srilankan and most of his family are not very open when it comes to dancing but David and Rasheed worked great as a team and got many of them on the floor. Rasheed varied the music according to the crowd on the dance floor and whether it was Spanish, Hindi or English, the transition was smooth and the music got people on the dance floor. At one point, my husband asked them to switch to more Spanish music(for my family) and it was a quick acknowledgement from them and a seamless transition. No questions, no objections, nothing ! They did their job and did it great.
Our guests had a wonderful time and it showed. We were happy with their service and would recommend 'In the mix' to our friends. From Gina to David and Rasheed, they were professional and easy to work with. Thank you for making our reception a great evening !!

If you want an mc/dj that brings A LOT of energy to the reception, this is the vendor for you! In the Mix were also great about accommodating special requests (i.e. father of the bride wanted Beatles music played during dinner, so they came ready with 45-minute playlist).

We chose the MC/DJ package. Prices were comparable/fair and service was excellent. James was absolutely a pleasure to work with and very responsive via email & in person as well. Highly recommended.

Gina and David of In the Mix are awesome! Our wedding was a huge success in part by them. They played every song we requested and were incredibly professional! We actually got them from my best friend's wedding where they were also hugely popular! Definitely get the photo booth as it is worth it and a great value!

We used In The Mix for our wedding on Long Island and they were fantastic. Easy to deal with during the planning process and made it more fun! As for the service at the wedding, they were there and set up before anyone even arrived and made the party amazing. We got so many compliments on the DJ and the music. We had a very positive experience with In the Mix. Jack and Gina helped us tremendously to understand how important a professional DJ service is not only in doing the music but in setting the pacing and mood of the entire night (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - including all the reception rituals like important dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, etc). Anyone who has been to a wedding in Long Island knows that guests are up and down, up and down all night long for dancing mixed with eating and other activities, and it can get a bit confusing where you're supposed to be when without good direction.

We got many compliments from guests that Jack was a great MC and that Chris did a great job as DJ. Even throughout the night of the wedding, guests were coming up to me to say that they loved our music. We believe that having them both as a team was crucial to the success of our reception in particular - people were dancing all night and everyone knew to be watching for our big moments.

In the Mix was responsive to all of our requests - including placement of the DJ equipment so that the fireplace in our room wouldn't be blocked, do not play and must play songs (we had specifications for some very specific music we wanted played at very specific times which were honored for us with no problem), and lighting (which was beautiful and varied throughout the night depending what was going on, setting the mood perfectly). As to pricing, everything is done a la carte, and we were offered a big menu at our consultation which included every possible service In the Mix could provide us and the individual price for each.

We reviewed all of our prospective vendors very diligently before making a final hiring decision, and in my opinion, In the Mix has no competition anywhere in Long Island in terms of the combination of professionalism, service, and price.

In The Mix went above and beyond to help make planning our special day as painless as possible. As all brides know, trying to coordinate all the vendors, details and decision making can be overwhelming. To start, David at In The Mix, was able to provide valuable guidance to help execute a night that reflects the personality of the Groom and I. He was also able to put forth his knowledge and expertise of the industry and past events, while still suggesting original ideas so our party was not a duplication of everyone else's event. The only word to describe In The Mix the night of our event would be "FLAWLESS". My husband and I really enjoy music and truly appreciate the art of a DJ. Rasheed blew us away. The music that night was a marathon of perfection and exceeded our expectations tenfold. James mastered the mic and ensured that our party ran smoothly. Evan took pictures that rivaled our professional photographers. And Ivory kept the photo booth running smooth while entertaining our guests. All in all, having In The Mix handle our event was as good as leaving it up to myself. They truly care about the Bride and Groom, their families, throwing a successful party, making sure that everyone is having an amazing time, while never losing sight of the details.

Let me start out by saying what an AMAZING wedding I had because of In The Mix DJ's!! My husband and I got married at the Crest Hollow Country Club and it was a night we will ALWAYS remember! In The Mix played every song that we wanted, every detail that we wanted was done with professionalism and excellence! From our first meeting with David, to the actual wedding, everything was just like our first visit!
MC James: James, you have serious talent! From our introduction, to last song (which was 2 hours after the party was supposed to end) you were all over the dance floor with high energy and amazing dance moves! Thank You James! In The Mix is lucky to have you!
DJ Rasheed: What else can I say! You played the best of every genre, from 60's and 70's, 80's and 90's and our favorites Top 40 and of course HOUSE MUSIC!! My parents loved that you were able to tie in the classics with the newer music. We loved that you were able to keep the dance floor going for 3hrs straight!!! Thank You Again!!!
Evan: Need I say more about your photography? At least that's what I think you should call it rather than "Zaps" because they were FANTASTIC!! Thank you for your images that captured our wedding the entire night.
Lastly, I’d like to thank the staff at in the office, Jack, Gina & David. Gina was amazing with going over the final Details ;-) for our wedding. I felt assured everything was fine when she went over the specifics from start to finish. She was only one of a couple vendors that did this. Thank You Gina. And last but not least, David. From our first initial meeting with him, we knew that In The Mix DJ's was the entertainment for us. We felt very comfortable and educated after meeting with him.
