Reese is so sweet and wonderful! She worked tirelessly to give me the wedding dress I've always dreamed of. She made my dream come true and my husband cried tears of joy as I walked down the aisle to him. She gave me a lot of different options for designs and added details and custom made my wedding belt. Plus she was so patient with me when I was so indecisive. Can't thank her enough! -

I went to Reene for my wedding dress alterations, and I can say that was the best decision! Right off the bat, you can tell that Reene is extremely talented, with many years of experience altering bridal gowns (both at a bridal shop and through her own business). She has an eye for what works and really pulled together some magic for me! I bought my dress not being completely sure about alterations, but she made excellent suggestions and really did an amazing job on my dress. She is patient, funny and made the whole process a lot easier than I expected. Within 3 fittings, my dress was ready and pressed for the big day, and all at extremely reasonable prices =) Thank you Reene! I will definitely recommend her to friends and go back to her for other dress alterations. -

I cannot recommend Reene enough!!! I bought a used Maggie Sottero dress online five months before my wedding date. I was able to find the dress at a local bridal shop so I definitely had seen and liked the dress style. I based my purchase though solely on the seller's description (measurements) since she was located in S.F. and I in L.A. and she wasn't allowing any trying on of the dress (already packaged for preservation).
I was shocked when the dress arrived and it fit too snug in the hips and the corset wouldn't close. I promptly put myself on a no carb diet. 2 months later (and 8 lbs lighter), I looked online for local wedding dress alteration vendors and found Reene. I contacted her based on her high Yelp reviews. She lives up to them all! Yes, she is direct but that's what's great about her. She is honest all around plus she'll give you tips and suggestions without being pushy.
The dress still didn't fit so I figured that my alteration costs would be sky rocket with having to add more material in the corset backing (lace dress so couldn't make bigger) to make the dress fit. Reene and her assistant work from Renee's home. She has a bathroom next to her sewing room so it's easy to change and get the fitting done. I put on the dress and Renee added the corset string and she promptly proclaimed that the dress couldn't be more perfect for me. She didn't have to alter the dress at all! I guess my mom and I just didn't know how to properly corset a dress so that's why it wasn't closing.
The only alterations that I requested were adding bra cups to the dress (she removed velcro which was sloppily added by the previous owner) and added a two part bustle (the previous one had torn due to the weight of the chapel train). I went back three weeks later for another fitting. I fell in love with my dress! Total alterations AND steam pressing of the dress totaled $119.90. My dress was perfect!!!!! -

Reene is the best. Do not give your dress to the boutique seamstress because they are overpriced. Reene does amazing things with new and used dressed. She took my sample sale dress in a size 10 and made it a 2!!!! My dress fit me like a glove. Also, she has amazingly priced beaded belts. Literally the same belt I saw in the store was $350 and at Reene it was $45 ! I think the best thing is that she is truly honest with you. If she doesn't think something will flatter your body figure, she will tell you and give you better alternatives. Definitely an amazing vendor and I HIGHLY recommend her ! -

Renee was very professional and did an AMAZING job! My only concern was that I lived so far away from Woodland Hills but I am so happy that I decided to hire Renee to alter my dress. I am so pleased with her work and recommend her to anyone! -

I got married on August 11, 2013 in Simi Valley, California at The Vineyards and In Stitches altered my wedding dress. Reene was such a breath of fresh air in all that's wedding craziness and price gauging--she's fair with prices, is full of tons of helpful knowledge, and is a true problem solver. I had a Nicole Miller dress with little in the way of alterations, but she did a hem, three bustles and sewed in a bra, all for $120! Amazing price! And everything was so perfect. I just loved it all. And the advice she gave me ensured my wedding dress stayed in tip-top shape all night. I highly recommend her! -

i was a-bit unsure when i first pulled up to her house but the min she open her door it was like taking a breath of fresh air and she will have you laughing the whole time fitting you in your dress.
She has been doing it for so long that she knows exactly what to do for you on your day.

If you don't know who to trust with altering your beautiful wedding gown, then contact Reene. She knows exactly how to make your dream dress fit you perfectly for your dream day! I purchased my dress from a well-known bridal salon 11 months prior to my wedding date. It arrived 6 months prior to my wedding date. 2 weeks later, my fiance and I moved out-of-state due to a job transfer. I knew I would be returning to California for my bridal shower in April and I called the salon to set a fitting appointment for the Sunday of my bridal shower weekend. They informed me they do not do fittings on Sundays - no exceptions! I thought I was going to have to pack & fly the dress home to Seattle with me to have it fitted and altered and then return with it for the wedding. My mom found Reene who accommodated my schedule in L.A. Her alterations were perfect and her suggestions for the bustle and other accessories were spot-on, and I didn't have to pack my dress. -

Reene is the BEST! She does AMAZING work! I ordered my dress online from China with a vision of tranforming it into my dream gown - and she did that and more! Reene is extremely knowledgeable, honest, understanding and hard working. She took my hem up, tightened the hip area, lowered the back, replaced the wedding belt and created a mantilla veil out of lace I found downtown. She has a great eye for opportunities and knows very well what is (or is not) possible. I definitely recommend her 100%!!! -

My daughter wanted to wear my 30 year old wedding dress for her wedding.
As honored as I was, I didn't think that it could be done as she is 5 inches shorter
than I am and the dress had a cathedral length train.
Reene not only shortened it but removed the sleeves and high neck line, making a
v-neck for both the front and back.
The workmanship was amazing and the dress looked absolutely perfect!
Reene also tailored the bridesmaid's dresses and my own.
We will definitely use her again!
She is the best! -

Absolutely the best. I highly recommend her for any project, but she is amazing with wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, mother-of-the-bride, etc. She will be totally honest with you - if she doesn't like something, she will tell you. But the final decisions are always up to you. The best prices around town too. -

Reene altered my lace wedding dress that I had bought off the rack as a sample. There were multiple layers of fabric and lace that she had to cut in order to shorten the dress. She also was able to replace the beaded sash (which was a little tore up when I bought the dress) on the dress with new ribbon and have the bead work placed onto the new ribbon. She also made me a gorgeous fingertip length mantilla veil to match my dress. Many of my guests remarked that it was the most beautiful veil they had ever seen. -

Renee did a terrific job on my wedding dress! I was a bit concerned because my dress was real silk satin with delicate beading, however, Renee's alterations were perfect and she was about half the price of bridal salons. I highly recommend her! -

I took my dress to Renee for some minor alterations and was very pleased. She is very friendly and knowledgeable, I had a hazy idea of what I wanted and she was able to work with it easily. She even recommended adding straps to my strapless dress so that I could wear a more supportive bra, it was a great call (and a comfortable one!) -

All I can say is Thank God for Reene!! Oh my, my dress was several sizes too big! Reene saved the day... she took in over 7 inches... all lace dress, mermaid (so it needs to FIT!) and she just made it look amazing! Plus, we added straps so I would be able to dance without fear and a bustle. She will definitely be direct and say what she thinks, which I really appreciated since she will tell you what she can and cannot do.
If you'd like to make your own mind up, there are pics in my bio (of the wedding, so once it was done... I don't have any pics of it when it was huge, but just take my word for it :)), but suffice it to say, she had to seriously take in the dress, it was all lace and mermaid fit (so those are complications), she added a corset, straps, and a bustle, and had it pressed. There was a lot of work to be done and by the time she was finished, it looked like that dress was made just for me! She does beautiful work and she's a fantastic person. I highly recommend Reene! -

Reene is great! Very reasonable prices for alterations, and she's an expert at what she does. My dress fit beautifully, and I absolutely loved my bustle.
She seems pretty busy (she forgot that I wanted my off-the-shoulder sleeves to be detachable and would've made them permanent if I hadn't mentioned it again), but she got my dress done with time to spare, and I couldn't be happier with how it looked. -

renne is simply awesome! Dun let the bridal store do your alteration! She was super friendly and actually spent time to explain to me what need to be done and showed me many options! I love the french bustle she did for my dress and got lots of compliments for it! I spent $340 for extra buttons at the back, bra pads, hemming, taking in the sides, french bustle and taking in the knee width. My dress looked so awesome when she was done! I would actually go back to her for future dress alterations! -

This a seamstress that works in her home, but she provides wonderful alterations for your wedding gown needs. She did a very simple bustle for me that worked alright for the wedding day. If you are in a pinch, she is a great value. -

The owner, Reene, works out of her home. I appreciated her responsiveness to my phone calls, her quick turnaround, and the quality of her work is excellent!
I did not care for her speaking poorly about her other clients in front of me (some of which were still at her house while I was there). She also pushed back when I told her I wasn't wearing a veil or that I didn't want a bustle added to my dress. These few things made my wedding dress experience a little less joyful. -

I came to Reene on a friend's glowing recommendation. All I needed was a bustle. She claimed to not be able to have all the layers gather, and suggested CUTTING the satin under layer so it wouldn't have to be bustled. (My dress was chiffon over satin from David's Bridal, nothing too poofy). I stood firm that we would not be cutting my dress. We opted for a double bustle. She drew a picture of the bustle ties for my mom, which I never saw. During the wedding cocktail hour, my maid of honor was with me trying for the life of her to find all the ties and simply couldn't. The under satin part was done but the top layer we could only find the center pull and tie. We gave up and my dress dragged on the floor all night and I kept stepping on it.
Even after I had the dress off and saw the drawing I could not locate the ties. I had my dress preserved with Enchanted Bridal in Chatsworth, who examined the dress and confirmed there were no 5th and 6th ties!!! Reene didn't finish my dress!! She also didn't anchor down a loose bead that she marked with a pin!! I don't know what's going on in that garage of hers. -
