Based on all the wedding pages I follow, it seems like so many brides and grooms question whether having a videographer is worth it. After working with Ian and In Depth Photo & Video, I can say with absolutely certainty that having a videographer is a MUST! There is something about getting to watch moments from such an important day that is really special. When we reached out to Ian (following a recommendation from a friend), we had already booked a photographer. He was so professional and worked really well with our photographer even though they didn’t know each other. They both bounced ideas off of each other for different shots. Ian is really creative but also has a relaxed presence, which helps make the whole experience not feel too artificial or overly posed. We are so happy with our highlight video and have watched it a ton already! You get a link to the video on Vimeo so it’s easy to share with friends and family, but you also get three hardcopy DVDs. Each DVD comes in it own leather case featuring a photo on the front. Each case has it’s own black box. They look amazing, so we’ll probably gift one to each of our mothers because they seem to enjoy watching our wedding video even more than we do (if that’s possible). We had a great experience and got a stunning video. After 20 years in the event industry I know a lot of photographers, but when it came time to choose one for my own wedding I went right to Ian at In Depth. He delivered great photos at an affordable price, and in a timely fashion. He was seemingly everywhere at once without ever being obtrusive. A pleasure as always to work with, and even easier being his client. If you don't have the time to spend several decades getting to know every vendor in the D.C. metropolitan area, do what I did and hire Ian so you know you're in good hands and won't have to worry about anything on your big day.
I can't wait to share all these amazing photos with friends and family. After viewing and liking our friend's wedding highlight video which was done by In Depth Photo & Video, we reached out and got a proposal. I originally worked with Tom to get proposals and he was very thorough in making sure I had answers to all of my questions. After getting some additional quotes we chose IDPV based on our friend's experience, that their work looked great and that they fit our budget. We decided to use Ian to shoot our wedding day since that is who our friends used. Ian was great in the month leading up to the wedding. On the wedding day he worked great with our photographer and captured some excellent footage. We received our highlight video about three months after the wedding and loved it. It was extremely well done and let us relive our amazing wedding day. About a month after that we received our full length film. We've loved that too. Ian was good about making a couple of edits to that per our request as well.
After receiving our finished product, my biggest advice to other couples is definitely do get a video of your wedding day. While photos are great, the ability to have professionally done video is even more special. The ability to hear your entire ceremony and see footage from the day is truly worth it. My husband and I got married this past July and had In Depth as the videographers. We couldn't be more delighted with our videos. Somehow they managed to capture every moment we wanted- without us even noticing they were there!!! They were so easy to work with, quick to respond to questions, and made it so we didn't have to worry at all on our wedding day. I love watching the videos- it instantly takes me back to our wonderful day! My husband and I chose In Depth Photo & Video because if their incredible quality of work and flexibility. We had a very large bridal party and our families are from USA and Brazil. Ian and his team worked seamlessly with our large bilingual group and our photographer. Working with In Depth was the best choice we made and we will certainly look forward to working with them in the future and recommending them to all our friends and family.My husband and I chose In Depth Photo & Video because if their incredible quality of work and flexibility. In Depth Photo & Video couldn't have done a better job on my wedding video!!! I am beyond happy I selected them to be my wedding videographer!!!! You seriously can't go wrong if you hire them because the are the absolute best in the area!!

We had In depth Photo Video recommended to us after hiring our photographer... I can't speak enough about how incredible Alex Jimenez is as a videographer! I knew as soon as I spoke to Alex on the phone that our day would be perfect. He is so professional, so easy to talk to and simply a breeze to work with. His ideas for shots- both video and photo- are outstanding! I had not one reservation hiring him to shoot our day after seeing his work. He was also the life of the party- making everyone feel at home and partying right there with us!! He was the talk of all my friends and family as well after the wedding- most stories began and ended with "OH MY GOSH I LOVED YOUR VIDEOGRAPHER!" In Depth is IN-CREDIBLE - from the first look shots right through the end of the night Alex and Ian worked really well with our photographer and had great ideas for shots. Even when the rain started coming down Alex offered to get in a golf cart with an assistant from the venue who drove it so he could get footage of us in our horse in carriage which came out perfect!! These are not your standard videographers - In Depth is a group that will do what it takes to get the job done and do it right.
Our videographers remained extremely patient even when our families were difficult to manage and the weather was not on our side. They thought quickly on their feet, came plenty early so they could familiarize themselves with the grounds and not miss a thing as far as our requirements. Our families/guests had nothing but great things to say about their interactions with them.
Both the highlight and long-version videos came out PERFECT!! We simply gave Alex some songs we preferred and he did the rest. A lot of the wedding videos we've seen from other providers are just blah - it's hard to explain but these guys really know the ins and outs, how to make the video pop and highlight all the special moments of the day. We've watched it over and over and are blown away with the picture detail and creativity of the shots. We were so proud to share it with our families and friends. Not only were they the most professional looking videos of all the vendors we looked at but their pricing is very reasonable as well!!

His professionalism is outstanding and second to none. My husband and I are so pleased with his work that we are highly recommending that he video tape our daughters upcoming wedding in 2014. It was a real blessing to have met Alex and the decision to have him be our videographer was one of the best choices we made for our entire wedding. The highlight video is gorgeous and so loving and touching that I cry evey time I watch it. The final video is sure to be just as wonderful. I would recommend Alex Jimenez above all other videographers, against all of the other videos I have seen of weddings and other functions of friends and family of mine have used in the past. Alex, you are number one (1)!
And finally, he gets the Teaser and Highlight video to you in a very expedicious manner. Alex and Ian did a great job for us! Very professional and knowledgeable. Unobtrusive and willing to accomodate us. They did a wonderful job of recording our entire wedding and put together a priceless video. We love the video and will cherish it forever. They really captured all the magical moments and also got great moments of all our family and friends. iIn Depth Video was great to work with and were very professional. We originally hired a photographer who was local to where were getting married. Long story short she was a lady with a camera. Not a photographer. indepth video saved the memories of our special day capturing all the shots we didn't know we wanted and more. They created a beautiful video for us that we still watch at least once a month. They captured our wedding day so beautifully that you feel like you are a part of the moment with the photos instead of looking at a staged shot. Ian and Alex were great! I did not even notice that they were there the day of the event (other than when they came by to say HI). Both the trailer and the full video were amazing! Ian worked with us to select music we like, but also made recommendations, and it just turned out wonderfully! I would highly recommend Ian and In Depth Photo & Video.Ian and Alex were great! These guys were AWESOME!!! They did such a good job, gave a great price, gave us lots of extras and were very pleasant to work with. We even got dance lessons from Alex for the wedding. Ian Sitek is awesome! From the very beginning when we hired him until the delivery of the video, Ian was attentive, professional, and extremely focused on all of the details. He met with the bride and groom to see what their vision for the video was before the event, and made their dreams come true by creating an incredibly creative highlight of the most special day of their lives! I would definitely recommend booking Ian. I booked him as a surprise for my wife and we are so incredibly happy we did. Ian and our photographer worked so well together. Ian made us feel so relaxed and was very accommodating when with us as we didn't know how long we needed him to stay at the reception. His highlight video is absolutely amazing and I have watched it so many times since he sent it.I would definitely recommend booking Ian. At the start of planning, we had a little trouble consistently communicating with the photographer, but once we worked out a rhythm of communicating, Ian was on the ball with responding and accommodating any of our needs. He was professional, positive, and resourceful. We didn't have the most aesthetic venue for photo opportunities, but he managed to find the exact right timing and location to create some truly beautiful lighting and moments.
We also had to clear out of the ceremony space faster than anticipated for another event, but he was quick on his feet, and was able to stay flexible and keep us on schedule without compromising any photos we needed. We could not have asked for a better photographer.
The videographer also did a fantastic job capturing everything. Any time I was in the midst of something fun, I'd see him noticing and edging over towards us for some great footage.
There was SEVERAL times when a friend would be rooting around for a phone to take a selfie with me, and the team would notice and come take a couple shots for us! Tom did a fantastic job with my video. He was professional and had my videos completed in a reasonable amount of time.
