We had our wedding this January 2016 at the Diamond Bar Center and we LOVED what Impulse Event Lighting was able to do for us. Quite honestly I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away by how awesome everything looked! Our guests afterwards were constantly commenting about how beautiful everything looked inside with the lighting set up! Highly recommend this team especially for the Diamond Bar Center!

Raul is the best! He's helped me from the beginning and made sure everything was exactly what I wanted. I made a few changes last minute but he was accommodating and made me feel very confident that everything will work out perfectly on the wedding day. We hired Impulse Event Lighting to handle the lighting at our 300 guest wedding at LA Union Station in September 2014. Since LA Union Station was not a typical wedding reception venue, it was important to hire the right lighting vendor for the job to really make the unique venue look spectacular during our night reception. After a quick google search, I had found photos I had seen of their work from an Accenture party at LA Union Station. I was pretty sure Impulse Event Lighting was the vendor we wanted to hire... but I wasn't sure if his pricing might be too high. Fortunately, we reached out to Raul & were instantly impressed with his professionalism as well as the GREAT PRICING that he could offer. His pricing included set up, tear down, & delivery too... no hidden costs. It was pretty much a no brainer to look no further. He was organized & quick to respond over the phone/e-mail. That level of reliability gave me a lot of confidence & helped reduce my stress level as a bride-to-be. By the time our wedding day rolled around months later, we had also hired Raul & his team for a seamless 20'x20' dance floor & a 6' x 8' projector for our slideshow.

On the day of the wedding, we were BLOWN AWAY by the lighting of the gorgeous vaulted ceilings at LA Union Station! We received so many compliments on the lighting & I owe it all to Raul at Impulse Event Lighting! A HUGE thank you to Raul & his team!

If you are looking for an excellent vendor for lighting (especially for unique venues), look no further!! Just hire Impulse Event Lighting. You will not be disappointed!! The quality is EXCELLENT... and the PRICING in INCREDIBLE. Must be the best value in So Cal! If I could give them a 6-star rating, I would!

I'm both a client and coordinator that has worked with the Impulse Team.

I always recommend this amazing team to all my clients and use them at all of my events. The team always arrives earlier than scheduled, dresses clean and professional, and is ready to go at any time needed. At a 450 guest event at the California Science Center, Raul insisted on bringing his own power source even though the venue said they had enough for all vendors, but he wanted to be well equipped. We ended up with a power outage (city issue, not venue) and Impulse saved the day - the vendors ended up pulling their power from his source. They were kind enough to even lend out some of their equipment (extensions and such) for some of the unprepared vendors that day.

I've had some of the most difficult and last minute clients but Raul has always been accommodating to every single one. With them, it's always easy to get things confirmed since they are so quick with calls, texts, and emails. They seriously offer the BEST PRICE in the industry. I've tried with other vendors but no one compares to the quality in products, service, and price with Impulse.

They have everything you need - uplight/ambient lighting, pin spots for your centerpieces/cake/sweetheart table, intelligent lighting to capture those special moments, monogram projection, wall designs, string/bistro/market lights (with or without lanterns), and projector & screen equipment. They have the latest equipment and technology when it comes to these things. They have trained technicians on site, not inexperienced technicians like some other companies do.

I personally used Impulse at my wedding! Working in the industry, it was a bit hard for me to decide on my vendors since I saw the good and bad behind the scenes. But for Impulse, there was no hesitation there because I knew I was in such good hands

Raul and his staff delivered above and beyond our expectations. When my wife & I walked in the venue, we were amazed. It's no doubt the lighting plays a tremendous part in a wedding. After spending time, money and effort on the floral arrangements and tall center pieces, the pin lighting Impulse set up, just made them stand out amazingly. Their professionalism was second to none. I have all but positive things to say about Raul and his staff @ Impulse Event Lighting. If you are looking for a lighting specialists for your upcoming wedding, I would definitely recommend Impulse Event Lighting.

I would recommend Raul and his company with 100% confidence. I used him for uplighting, pinspot lighting, gobo, and video projection. From my initial meeting with him I knew that he was someone I could trust and would go a great job and he did exactly that. He transformed by ballroom at the huntington beach hyatt into what I had envisioned and everything was perfect. He was there the whole night to make sure that everything went well and to address any issues (though there were none!) I can't thank him enough. If you want someone you can trust and will do a great job use Impulse Event Lighting

Raul and his team were great. He worked with our budget but his service was top quality. Set up and clean up were a breeze and we did not have to worry about a thing. AMAZING!! We hired them for our Wedding at Los Coyotes Country Club and we were left speechless! The professionalism from Raul was outstanding. Prior to the wedding we meet with Raul a few times to go over lighting/décor and hired his highly recommended DJ. Raul was very detailed and had great ideas to execute what we wanted. He not only provided the lighting and décor, DJ but he also handled our sound/microphones at the Lake Side ceremony area for the minister and live singer that my husband surprised me with. After the ceremony, the DJ played a great play list during cocktails at the country club terrace while the live Mariachi took their break. The reception looked elegant and so beautiful with the tasteful lighting and décor. The music throughout the evening was just what we requested. Our wedding was so much fun that our guest didn’t want to leave or want to stop dancing when the last song was announced! We had to pay for another hour!! :) We left to our honeymoon the following morning and I had 34 text messages from guest saying they’ve never been to a wedding that was so much fun and look so elegant with all the beautiful lighting. Raul you made my center pieces look priceless! Thank you so much for being on time, and making sure that everything went as planned. I can’t thank you enough for making our special day stress free and for making my fairy tail wedding come true! My husband and I highly recommend this company for your next event. Impulse Lighting made our event a success!

I worked closely with Raul for our company event. He was extremely helpful in designing the right lighting for the venue and completely transformed the room for our day to evening functions. The lighting really was key in setting the mood and creating the perfect party setting for our event.

Raul had amazing communication leading up to the event, during the event, as well as afterwards. He went above and beyond, by providing additional services, and was extremely accommodating on-site to ensure our event went smoothly and was a success. The prices were also extremely reasonable. I'd definitely use their services again and would highly recommend using their services for others.

They were on time, setup perfectly, and took everything down after the wedding.

The pink lighting gave the boring room a radiant feel and the gobo logo on the floor was perfectly how we imagined.

Raul is amazing! He and his team transformed our reception site into something so spectacular that it left our guests speechless.

When we were wedding planning, my fiance and I spent a lot of time looking through photos of these grandiose venues with even grander centerpieces, and we both quickly noticed that the venues without lighting fell flat, even with the magnificent decor. Needless to say, for us, it was pointless to spend a sizable amount on flowers, cake, etc. without properly showcasing them. The lighting really helped to create that WOW factor and everyone at our wedding was wowed!

Raul and his team knows their stuff and worked quickly and efficiently to create the ambiance requested. Our videographer gave us a quick glance of our first dance shortly after recording it, and the one thing that stood out was the dreamy, Hollywood cinematic feel that the lighting helped to create. It really is money well spent!

Our wedding reception look wonderful. The theme my wife and I wanted was Romance. When we first walked in the reception we were in shock! Looked so romantic and elegant. By far the best lighting ever. The monogram that was on the center of the dancefloor was so well done!

We hired Impulse Event Lighting for an upscale corporate event/auto dealership grand opening in Newport Beach. From start to finish, Raul and his team were responsive and professional, listening to what we needed and explaining what they would do to make our event a success. Phone calls and emails were answered immediately.

Not only was the lighting beautiful, including the monogrammed logo of our dealership and the exterior and interior lighting which added the perfect touch, Raul and his team went above and beyond by staying on-site during the entire event, and assisting with tasks that were completely unrelated to lighting (i.e. helping secure the photography backdrop, providing us with additional extension cords for the entertainment, assisting with other vendors, etc.).

Without question, we'd hire Impulse Event Lighting again, for every one of our events. They cared about our event as much as we did--service that's really hard to find these days.

Raul is brilliant. He fulfilled every expectation for my wedding, and there were many since our was in my fiance's parents' backyard. We had dance lights, uplights, a wash, string lights and hanging string light. He was even on site the whole night to make sure everything ran smoothly, which was vital since the caterer blew a fuse. Raul was always quick to respond to me, even when I was late on responding to him. All I can say is that he was one of my best vendors. People are still saying that we had the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended. So many vendors quoted me at prices that were 2x, even 8x Raul's price! There's no question Raul loves what he does and will work with you to get the best results. I recommend him entirely, and he'll be my first call if I ever put on another event. Thanks Raul!

Raul of Impulse Event Lighting was awesome. Their pricing is very competitive and he was very professional. He went ahead of time and scouted our venue months in advance to give us an idea of how the lighting could most effectively accentuate the ambiance of the wedding (Ours was in a barn).

I personally feel lighting sets the mood of the reception moreso than the flowers or décor. With the right amount of lighting people are more open to having a good time.

We also had Raul set up the projector and screen for our slideshow. He came and did this for us during the reception just to make sure everything went smooth even though it wasn't necessary.

I would recommend impulse lighting 100% as they will not only do a great job, but Raul is a pleasure to deal with and really makes the extra effort.

The lighting was absolutely gorgeous at our wedding. Impulse Lighting did a fabulous job. It was an added element that made our wedding extravagant. From the uplighting to the monogram to the pin spot lighting everything was perfect.

Raul was great to work with, and made the process very easy. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them without hesitation.

Raul was great and easy to work with from the first time we met to my wedding reception day! He installed amber uplighting with a custom monogram of our names and it turned out beautiful. He was very responsive throughout the process and we exchanged several emails back and forth to get the monogram to turn out perfectly. I also borrowed a projector from him and although there was some technical glitch in the beginning where it couldn't read my CD, he didn't leave the venue until he found ways to make it work. Everyone was very impressed with how the lighting transformed my venue and I couldn't have been happier to use Raul! Great pricing and responsiveness. Highly recommended.

Raul was great! He was very helpful in planning the lighting for our wedding. He let us come to another venue where he was doing uplighting and pinspotting so we could see his work and talk with him about his services. He also drove after a long day of work to our venue sight and helped us to decide where to put the lights, what colored we wanted, and our monogram design. He responds immediately to phone calls, texts, and emails. The day of the event, he was very accommodating, making sure we were happy. He stayed the entire night until everything was over. If I ever needed an event with lighting, I would go through him.

Raul from Impulse lighting was awesome! I don't even know where to begin. I actually saw the Impulse Lighting van(which is wrapped in impulse lighting advertisements) on the freeway and i usually wouldn't contact someone without a referral from friends/family. I gave him a call and he was sooo friendly and willing to meet me at my venue. We did a walk thru and he suggested some things i hadn't thought of for lighting. He suggested we do some lighting in the cocktail hour area in the courtyard to define the space(didn't charge me extra) His prices were amazing- you can't beat them!!! I got quotes from 2 other companies previous to getting a quote from Raul. They didn't even compare to the pricing, quality, and amount of lighting i got.

So enough about his professionalism and awesome prices- when we walked into the room, it was totally transformed with the lighting...Before: was bare white walls, but when we walked in it was glowing with amber lighting and gobos on the ceiling- stunning! Raul was amazing! We planned a wedding in less than 3 weeks, so I had emailed about 20 different people. Out of everyone, Raul was the quickest, nicest, best priced, and most professional vendor who responded right away. He worked with me to turn the wedding into a spectacular event even though we finalized and signed the contract only about a week and a half before the wedding. He is probably the only vendor I've ever dealt with who was so cooperative, flexible, and threw in so many extra things for a great price/deal. I recently got married and i hired impulse event lighting to do the lighting for my wedding and i was shocked of how beautiful the place looked! It was the perfect shade of purple! I have to admit, at first I didn't think my husband and I needed a lighting person. After my husband kept insisting, I finally gave in. We booked Impulsive Event Lighting about 3 weeks before the wedding! Every time I booked a meeting with Raul, something came up on my end. I never got to meet him in person. However, I was always able to call him, text him, or email him with any of my concerns or questions.
I have to admit, Impulsive Event Lighting really made a huge difference in my wedding. It looked amazing! No words can describe how happy I am i went with their services!

Raul and his team did an amazing job setting up the lighting for our wedding at Mesa Verde Country Club. Raul provided us with uplighting, pinspots, spotlight, gobo, and even our dance floor. The white seamless dance floor makes all the difference! Raul let us customize our gobo and it looked great shining onto the dance floor. I highly recommend going with Impulse Event Lighting. This review is long overdue, been back from my honeymoon about a month but it's still been hectic getting settled down. Anyway, I was referred to Impulse Lighting by Marilyn (I Do Chair Covers) and they did a fabulous job!. It was an extremely easy process, Raul was very knowledgable about the lights & knew exactly what would work for our venue. Getting a hold of Raul was always easy, he seemed readily available whenever I had any questions. Our venue was done up very beautifully with the lighting. There was a bit of misunderstanding with the house light settings, wished it was communicated/coordinated with the venue staff after the lighting set up. Despite the oversight, I still highly recommend them for any occasion - price was very reasonable compared to others, excellent customer service & ease of communication was a major plus! I can echo some of the negative reviews here as something similar happened to us. Impulse had a lot better prices and the responsiveness was great. Day of the wedding comes and another subcontracted company shows up, us never being informed by Raul. They were completely clueless. Many types of lighting were forgotten (dance floor, string lights, pin spots), even though we paid for it. Overall, the lighting was way too dim and our poor guests were in the dark. I wish he had offered a walk-through so we would get an idea.

We reached out about the errors and got the runaround as well. Promises of a refund for the forgotten lights was getting old. I would not recommend Impulse unless you are willing to take a chance. Our friends used Impulse a few yrs ago and had a very positive experience, so maybe Raul doesn't care as he has built his business. It looks like there aren't as may recent reviews on here, so I would think twice.

In January I booked the lighting for our September wedding with Raul and that all went very smoothly, but as we needed to tighten up the details it became impossible to coordinate with him.

- Emails would take a week or so to be addressed with prodding.
- We attempted a couple of times to set up a walkthrough to make sure we were both on the same page, but the time never worked out so I eventually gave up.
- I asked in two or three emails for suggestions on how to light an attached room and that portion was consistently looked over. We ended up using whatever light the room came with.

On the day of the wedding, his team failed to bring 6 pin spots. The final order was completely correct on paper but he says there was a "mix-up" and promised reimbursement. It's been 3 weeks since he admitted to that but still no check has been received. When I asked about the status of the check he replied with another "I'll check and get back to you," and that was four days ago.

With regard to the final look the venue felt far dimmer than I was expecting, but with the DJ's dance lighting setup and the florist's centerpiece light it turned out okay. Sadly, lighting was my one of my higher visual priorities with a flexible budget and somehow this vendor just fell flat. I don't understand how the reviews for this company are as high as they are.

12/22/14 update: Raul still hasn't issued a refund for their admitted mix-up. Dropping the value rating because I literally didn't get what I paid for (and the reimbursement amount isn't even as much as what those pin spots were supposed to cost).

Awful customer service!! First, the owner Raul stood me up when he said he would meet me to do a site walk through for string lighting for my wedding. He apologized and said he forgot, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and set up another appointment to which he showed up and gave me a quote. He said he was available for our wedding date and would email the contract the next day. A few days later and I still hadn't received an email and he was not responding to my phone calls. I called him consistently within the next couple weeks and he never called me back. Today he finally answered the phone and said he is busy and can't do my wedding! Thanks for wasting my time and lying to me Raul. I would definitely not recommend this company.
