Great DJ, Superior Emcee skills, Fabulous Lighting and Sound System - what more could you want?

I hired Andy Yorke/Imani Entertainment DJ and Karaoke Services for my daughter’s wedding (formal with 170 people) and could not be more pleased. There wasn’t a person in the room who was not on the dance floor at some point during the evening. An unexpected monsoon came with rain coming sideways and Andy was calm and kept the party going as the tent’s sides went up (protecting his equipment). His emcee skills could not have been better with perfect timing and tone. Andy’s flexibility in accepting last-minute song requests was much appreciated by all and his timing of special dances perfect. The sound system and wireless mics he brought were clear, static-free and what you would want and expect from a professional. Included in my contract was the photobooth offered by Imani and the guests loved it. The attendant taking control of the photobooth was very professional and friendly and made it fun for all (videos turned out great.) Imani Entertainment and Andy Yorke – the best choice for weddings and any type of celebration.

The music was on point

Imanu entertainment , had the whole room vibing he played music that everyone could relate to if you weren’t on the floor then you surly was dancing in you seat during the night I had so many people ask for his contact info we had such a good time.

Andy was fabulous. He read the crowd really well and had us dancing and having a great time for hours! I'd recommend him to anyone.

We are so lucky to have found Andy! He was wonderful to work with and very accomodating. He came to our house for in interview visit and we instantly felt confident in his talent and experience with weddings. He provided the full menu of services we needed, including music and sound for the ceremony, music for the reception, a monitor for a revolving slide show, and uplighting. Andy was in sync with the ceremony and never missed a beat. The hardest part of hiring a DJ is trusting the DJ's ability to read a crowd and pick the right tunes to get them dancing. At our wedding, Andy started the music after the toast, the dancing started and it didn't stop until the end of the night. I don't think he ever took a break. We could easily have spent twice as much on a DJ and gotten no more service for our money. Thank you Andy for making our daughter's special day incredible.

Andy was an amazing DJ at my vow renewal ceremony and reception two weeks ago! He was very helpful during the music selection process by suggesting songs that he has played before. He arrive early to my venue and setup on time. Excellent music selection with visuals!

DJ Andy Yorke was absolutely awesome. He DJ'd my wedding, including the ceremony and cocktail hour. He found every song on the playlist I sent him, even the ones I thought would be impossible to find. The flow of the music at the reception was perfect. My Husband and I, and my guests, were extremely happy and all had a great time. Andy was extremely professional from the moment I met him, and discussing the details. He made it really easy as far payments and timeline. Would definitely recommend Imani Entertainment for any event. THANKS ANDY!!!

We worked with Andy for our wedding, and were very happy with how the day went! He was always prompt in responding to emails and worked with the long playlist I sent, with some of the songs being pretty obscure. He was with us all day (from 10:00am-5:00pm)! He set up outside for our ceremony, and then had to move everything indoors for the reception. He did this efficiently and seamlessly, which my parents commented on. We got a bit behind on our timeline for the day (I was late to my own wedding), but Andy worked with my venue team to readjust the day and things went smoothly. Overall, the whole process was easy and we got a great value with Imani Entertainment!

Andy did a great job at our wedding. He brought lights and his own DJ equipment. He was a great master of ceremonies. He was also flexible with us sending him song suggestions via Spotify, and adding crowd-pleaser songs as needed throughout the night.

Besides the food, the DJ was the best thing at our wedding. We sent Andy a list of our must haves songs, a list of "kind" of songs we wanted played and the songs for like processional, recessional etc. When I tell you that he rocked the house, I mean everyone was on their feet dancing. It was like our wedding was a big party that we threw for 60 of our nearest and dearest. So....much...fun!! Wish we could do it all over again lol

Great DJ! Our Dance floor was PACKED from the beginning of the night till it ended. Was a big part of what made our wedding so special, and I'm so glad we got him. His wide variety of music he can play made him able to tailor specifically to our families cultural music taste. There was a little logistical errors, our recessional and reception entrance song for bride and groom was different than we had said, and some errors with introducing the bridal party. All in all it was well worth it to have a guy of his talent DJ our wedding.

DJ Andy played some great music during the dancing portion of the reception but didn't capture the intro/first dance songs exactly as I wanted even though I sent him a detailed listing of special dance songs.

I would also prefer not to have music videos played along with songs as some were not appropriate for our younger guests. Overall, he did a good job and I would recommend him to other couples.

I was disappointed with Andy's performance. I sent him a detailed spreadsheet with at least 4 tabs detailing the songs that I wanted played at different points of my wedding ceremony and reception. My close friends told me he played none of the 1940s and 1950s songs I requested during the recessional as guests were being seated, instead he played instrumentals! He also only played maybe a handful of the songs I requested in the spreadsheet I sent him during the reception. My husband is Romanian and I sent Andy a bunch of Romanian songs that I wanted him to play, and he played none of them during the reception. The theme of my wedding was 1940s Art Deco so I was disappointed that he didn't play any of the songs I sent him from that era. Although he apologized and eventually put on the right song, he started off my husbands dance with his sister playing the song that we'd chosen for the cake cutting...I spent hours making the detailed spreadsheet I sent him and I think he barely looked at it which is unbelievable. If he didn't have a majority of the songs I requested, he could have told me beforehand instead of playing whatever he wanted...

After reading all the great reviews Andy got, I had no doubt that he'd be a great DJ at our wedding, however this was not the case. Andy was not accommodating. We had 4 big cultures coming together (African, Lebanese, Hispanic and American) and despite me telling Andy about this beforehand, he didn't prepare any music to cater to the different cultures. I had given him a couple of songs to work with as an idea of what we like, and those were the only ones he played. When my guests and bridal party gave him suggestions he was unaccomodating. It's completely understandable that he's an American DJ and therefore doesn't have Lebanese and African music, but I did tell him about this before the wedding and therefore he should have either asked me for more songs that I liked and wanted played OR taken the suggestions from my guests. He definitely did not read the crowd well and ended up repeating songs towards the end of the night, which was really disappointing.

Disappointed

My wedding was great if you dont include the DJ. I gave him a detailed list of what songs was to be played when I walk down the aisle, my husband ( yes he wanted his own song) and the wedding party. He failed that, he announced that he didn't have time to do a first dance. He was rude to me, the coordinator and kept repeating songs, he f**k up alot. I will NEVER use him or suggest anyone to utilize his services.
