    My wedding planner, Diana Gardner of Alohana Weddings, had giving me a long list of photographers that she recommended and had worked with for me to choose from. I found Liz's photos to be mesmorizing! You can see from her photos that she truely loves what she does and puts so much time and care in her finished product. We are so happy that we chose Liz to take our wedding photos. Within days of our wedding we received a "preview" of a few dozen of her pictures! They are amazing! Her photos take us back to that moment everytime we look at them. Everyone who looks at our photos gasp at the beauty. I would definitely recommend Liz, and on our next visit to Kauai, we will be having her take our anniversary photos at sunset on one of the many beautiful beaches on Kauai!

    I looked through countless photographers in Kauai to find the right fit for my wedding and the style of photography that I liked. As soon as I got on Liz's website, I knew she was the photographer for me. Her photography is very artistic, in my eyes and truly captures that special day.

    Her energy was exactly what I needed on my special day! She captured every special moment and moments I never even knew happened that day...haha! I have not one bad thing to say about Liz and her beautiful photography. I hope to be able to do another photoshoot with her the next time we travel to Kauai!

    We used Liz for our wedding on 3/2/10 and she was FANTASTIC! She actually spent a ton of time with us. She suggested an additional location for us to shoot at that we had to drive to and was willing to take additional pictures. We are THRILLED with the finished product. I look at our pictures every day and smile. I can't tell you how happy you will be if you have Liz and her fabulous eye take your pictures!

    Liz wasn't actually part of our reception - we had a destination wedding on Kauai in May, followed by a reception at home in Colorado. Liz worked with us to get our photos in time to print some out for the reception, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of the photos and the painstaking care she obviously took in retouching them all! Liz was fantastic.

    We had the pleasure of having Liz do engagement photos during a wedding planning trip 6 months before the wedding, so we knew how incredible the wedding pictures would be! The pictures are just breathtaking and so special with her unique touch. Mahalo many times over for the amazing pictures to celebrate this special day!

    This photographer is beyond outstanding!!!! She is an artist and captures the absolute essence of beauty, emotion and joy in her work. I get goose bumps every time I look at my wedding pictures. The pictures can bring me to tears they are so amazing. Is it possible to take an amazing day and make it look even more perfect? YES!!!!! She had my husband so comfortable (and he has always hated having pictures taken) I cant get over how well our pictures came out. It is the most important thing to have good pictures for your wedding day and she is the ONE. Look at all her pictures on her website. www.imagesbyliz.com She is incredible and our photos are sublime. It is so so so important to have good pictures, more important than the cake, the food, the champagne etc. Don't cut corners with a photographer. HIRE LIZ if you get married on Kauai. She also is a sweetheart and very professional.

    Liz is phenomenal. It rained the night of our wedding, very hard. Liz did an excellent job making it work that night and offered to come back to our sight the next night to “recreate” what we couldn’t get the first night. I don’t think many others would have done that. Highly recommend without even an ounce of hesitation!

    I am writing this review because I hope it helps other couple's who may be navigating the wedding planning process (particularly if you are planning a destination wedding like we did). Planning from afar can be a daunting task, and a leap of faith that the vendors you choose will be everything you hope for.
    I did an exhaustive search when it came to finding a photographer for our wedding. While all elements of a wedding are important, capturing the moments of our wedding day by a professional and experienced photographer was at the top of our priority list. I found Liz at Images by Liz early on in my search. I loved her images and called her right away. The first thing people should know about Liz is that her sweet, gentle manner is completely genuine and is reflection of her professionalism and dedication to her craft. She is a true artist. After leaving no stone unturned and basically searching out every photographer on the island (and even some photographers on Oahu), it was very clear that Liz was going to provide not only the most artistic, best photographs, but she was going to be a delight to work with.

    My instincts were spot on! Liz was always very prompt in responding to my questions, and also very knowledgable and helpful in providing suggestions for what would work best for my overall vision of our wedding day. She went out of her way to even help provide me the names of other reputable vendors for our wedding.

    Our wedding was an amazing experience. Like every wedding, something unexpected will arise. Ours was the weather. when you marry in paradise, be prepared for rain! It rained steadily throughout our wedding day but Liz did not miss a beat. She knows how to work with any given situation. Our day was the happiest day of my life, and Liz captured that happiness in images I will treasure for life. Our photographs are absolutely stunning! I highly recommend Images by Liz to anyone looking for a consummate photographer.

    Liz is an incredibly talented photographer. She has a unique eye for detail and captured so many special moments at our wedding. She was warm & enthusiastic and made everyone feel comfortable at our wedding. Photography is clearly her labor of love. She went above and beyond to communicate with us and make sure we were happy not only on our day but in the months following. Our pictures came out beautifully and far surpassed our expectations! We love looking back at the memories of our magical day and sharing them with friends and family. I highly recommend Liz to be your photographer!

    Liz did a outstanding job - She truly has experience and was able to capture my wedding as perfect as I wanted it! She knew exactly what needed to be done during the ceremony and provided me with exceptional photos that I will have for a lifetime!

    To be honest I am actually picky with my photographers. I do know what I like and what I don't like. I was given a couple photographer first to pick from and none of them had made me feel like "wow these photos are beautiful" After going through more then 3 or 4 photographers and my coordinator telling me that she had one more person left then the rest was up to me to find anyone else i thought was good enough, I really thought i just wouldn't find the right one. Then I was send to Images by liz, her website. I looked at her photos and i just loved how they were. When we met Liz at our wedding she was nice, and sweet. She even asked us what was important for us to take photos of. I know some photographers and they don't even bother to ask you that. I thought it was really thoughtful! She also made sure i was hydrated as well which was also thoughtful as well. Im very excited to see how our photos came out!

    I had the pleasure of meeting Liz and her assistant (sorry, I don't remember her name. Very sweet girl, though!) on the very day of our wedding. They showed up early (punctuality is huge in my book) and Liz, right away, went to work on capturing every detail of my dress, jewelry, flowers, ect. Liz and her assistant are just wonderful people. I immediately felt comforted by her. She knows the ropes and knows what needs to be done without seeming overbearing. She is a very kind and calming soul which is super important when you have family! And, we all know what "family" means when they all get together for a special occasion! Chaos can ensue very quickly and she is a professional! Just like the Sound of Music reference, "Firm but kind," and I am so grateful that she CAN administer that commanding presence when she needs to and being very polite about it.

    Liz has such an eye for seeing beauty and capturing it on film. I was blown away by our photos! Especially, the sneak peak right after our wedding (on Facebook). She knows what poses work and she has such a gift with the sunset! My goodness, can she capture that sunset! You will have the most beautiful wedding pictures, ever! Just look at her portfolio!

    Liz is super professional and so likeable. A very sweet person who knows just how important your special day is. Overall, her main job is to please the Bride and the Groom. She succeeded!

    I cannot give Liz enough praise for how wonderful a photographer she is and just an amazing person in general. I started my search for a photographer well in advance of my wedding day. I must have spoken with nearly every photographer on the island. Liz is very professional and will respond to your questions very quickly. I had sent her some photos that I knew I wanted shot on my wedding day and she made sure we got them all. Having never met her before the big day, she was so easy to work with and made my husband and I very comfortable. We chose to do trash the dress session and my facebook exploded with comments on how beautiful and fun the wedding photos were. Some said they were the best wedding photos they had ever seen. If you book Liz I promise you will not be disappointed in your choice.

    Prior to our wedding, I looked at just about every Kauai photographer's portfolio extensively. Liz's portfolio struck me as the perfect combination of romantic, artistic and beautiful. I loved her sunset shots and the amazing things she does with light.

    My husband thought we could do without a professional photographer, until after the photo shoot. Liz is very proficient with getting the most out of your time with her. She works quickly and has an eye for detail. She was very accomodating at getting all of the shots I wanted. She made my husband and I feel so at ease. She even promptly sent sample shots the very next day of what we could expect to get when we got our wedding photos back from her.

    I highly recommend you go with Liz for your wedding photography! You will not be disappointed. She is New York City quality!

    Wow! I am blown away with the photos from our wedding! Liz did a phenomenal job. She was extremely professional. She arrived early to the wedding and stayed after her contract time to ensure we got our sunset photos. She was assertive with the group to make sure we got all of the family photos and was creative and energetic while directing poses. The day after the wedding she gave us "sample" photos with about 30 shots that we could share immediately. She got us the rest of our pictures within the time period she predicted. I received over 700 photos and they are all beautiful! I am very pleased with her editing. I highly recommend Liz! We will cherish the pictures she took forever!

    Liz photographed my wedding on August 11, 2012. She was fantastic in every aspect. She was really easy to work with, has an amazing eye for detail and took a lot of really awesome shots. I have received so many comments on how beautiful our pictures turned out and what an amazing photographer Liz is. She was very calm throughout the whole wedding shoot, even though I was extremely nervous/anxious, and our pics still turned out beautifully. It did take a little over 3 months to get our pictures back, witch was nail biting, but after seeing the pics it was completely worth it. I definitely recommend Liz if looking for a photographer on Kauai, She is Awesome!

    Liz Belfor is the most amazing wedding photographer! I spent months trying to find the right person, and after spending 30 minutes on her website reviewing her portfolio, I was sold! I love the artistic touch she adds to every photo. Liz has a true passion for photography and it really shines in her personality and in her images. She is not only an awesome photographer, but she is also very sweet and personable, a true delight to have at our ceremony!

    Liz goes above and beyond! Our time was up, and my husband and I were just sitting on the beach taking it all in... and Liz surprised us by returning to Tunnels Beach to take another round of photos due to the amazing sunset that was happening before our eyes! If she had not had the kindness in her heart to return, our wedding album would be missing the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen! I never imagined our wedding photos coming out as beautifully as they did! They are magical!

    Thank you so much Liz for all your help in picking the perfect location for our wedding and helping us find an officiant as well.

    Liz captured every special moment of our June 20, 2008 wedding on Shipwreck Beach in a professional yet comfortable manner. The photos were delivered on time as promised and the photo quality was AMAZING. Overall, our experience with Images by Liz was more than we ever hoped for and would highly recommend her photography services.

    Liz was the photographer for my wedding this past weekend in beautiful Kauai and she was absolutely amazing. I have not even seen the full set of photos yet and I cannot say enough good things about her, her photography and her services.

    We chose Liz a while back in the planning process based on a recommendation by our coordinator and a review of her beautiful online portfolios. We did not get in touch with her until a couple of weeks before the wedding, but arranged to meet with her in person a couple of days prior to the big day.

    As soon as we met with Liz a a local coffee shop, we immediately felt a fantastic, friendly and laid back vibe and knew we had made the right decision. As a generally high-strung, Type A person trying to micro-manage the other details of my wedding, I immediately felt at ease when talking to her. We simply told her at a high level what type of photos each of us liked (candid vs. posed), a few details about the wedding, and we let her work her magic.

    And, magic it was. She was SO great with our friends and family both at our house and at the wedding. She could not possibly have been more friendly and professional, while also having a good time. She ensured that we got shots with every family/friend member at the wedding as well as several amazing group shots.

    She then took my husband and I closer to the beach for some personal closeups and sunset shots and the results were nothing short of stunning (despite some rain showers just minutes before!!) -- and I am basing this only on the small sample set she provided to us the very next day!

    Liz is a very special and talented artist and I would recommend her without reservation if you are looking for wedding photography on Kauai. The value for the services cannot be beat, either.

    We will definitely be meeting her next year for some one year anniversary shots!

    I did not meet Liz until the moment I arrived at our wedding venue and I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed in front of her camera. She truly has a gifted eye for the beautiful details of a wedding and capturing them. I loved her fun call to get he attention of the children in our group! Most importantly she has the eye for capturing the perfect wedding poses utilizing the amazing sunset light that Kauai has to offer. I was more than pleased with all of the sneak peeks that Liz had on Facebook of our wedding the following day. She was a professional and beyond wonderful to work with.
