Idlaia was the best decision we made!
From the initial planning stages to the final delivery of our stunning wedding photos, our experience with Idalia Photography was truly exceptional. Alex and her team made the entire process seamless and stress-free, with regular check-ins to ensure we were on track and felt supported every step of the way.
On the day of the wedding, our lead photographer Mike and his team, including MaryAnn, were absolute rockstars. They expertly managed the timeline, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing. Mike and his team had a gift for making us feel completely at ease, capturing natural and authentic poses that felt effortless and genuine.
The sneak peeks we received within 24 hours of the wedding were a thrilling surprise, and we were blown away by the quality and beauty of the photos. When it came time to select images for our album, Francesca from the design team was an absolute delight to work with. She guided us through the process with ease, helping us curate a stunning collection of photos that told the story of our special day.
What struck us most was the way Idalia Photography captured not just our portraits, but also the joy and love of our family and friends. Every photo was a treasure, and we felt grateful to have such talented professionals behind the lens.

Look no further!!!
Haven’t even returned from our honeymoon yet but i had to submit my review! Alex is seriously the best. The whole day was perfect bc she was so calm and such light energy on a very overwhelming day. I was a very over stimulated bride at points of the day and her and her team were sooo good at dealing with it and getting us through the chaos part of family formals. The sneak peaks we got were breath taking i cannot wait to see the final products! Look no further, you just found your wedding photographer! Thank you to the Idalia Photography!!! -

The team at Idalia Photography is amazing! My fiancé and I went in to their studio for an indoor engagement session and had a fantastic time! Chelsea was so easy to work with and made our session so much fun! We felt very comfortable with her and she gave great direction during the session. Corinne did my hair and makeup and did a wonderful job! If I wasn't getting married out of state I would hire her for my actual wedding day too! The photos came out amazing and Alex did a wonderful job helping us narrow down our favorites! 10/10 experience! -

Idalia Photography was amazing to work with. Marrianne and Mike did an amazing job of capturing our day so beautifully. We cannot recommend them enough! They were very accommodating when we had to reschedule our engagement photos due to the weather multiple times and when it rained on our wedding day, they adjusted the schedule flawlessly. Now we have beautiful photos, albums, and wall art to remember our wedding!! -

We worked with the associates from Idalia Photography (Pearl & Veil Studios) for our engagement session and our wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Alex was so helpful and personable. She was professional and answered all of our questions. Marianne was incredible during our engagement shoot, and I know she would be for our wedding day, too! Marianne, Michael, and Katie truly went above and beyond to capture our wedding day perfectly. They were on time, professional, and made sure to get every shot we requested. My wife and I were thrilled with Alex and her team throughout the entire process! To start, she was extremely helpful leading up to the wedding, including taking the time to meet virtually on multiple occasions to answer all of our questions and to best understand our needs/vision for the day. She was also instrumental in preparing a detailed itinerary which kept everything running smoothly with no surprises or snafus.
She was always professional and cooperative, as well as equally as excited for our day as we were! When you have a photographer with that energy, it's contagious and makes your photos that much more natural. We loved that she gave us specific direction in order for her to get the best shots - and the final product was incredible!!! She helped capture our day so perfectly and we couldn't have dreamed of a better photographer. She also provided over 75 photos within 2 weeks of our wedding which was unbelievable. Definitely recommend!! -

Idalia photography was recommended to me when I was in search for a “light and airy photographer” to capture my wedding day… and boy, did she deliver!
On our wedding day, Alex and her team were extremely sweet, professional and always had a genuine smile on their face.
Alex’s kindness and calm demeanor were contagious, which is exactly what couples need on their wedding day. She and her team captured the whole day perfectly from candid getting ready photos to formal photos with a 20+ person bridal party to dance floor action shots.
From our first phone call, Alex made sure to gather our vision with special details in mind and later, presented us with a very organized timeline which guided us (and other vendors) seamlessly throughout the day. Alex stayed true to her word with estimated delivery time for releasing the photos and we were blown away by her skills. Every time we look at our wedding photographs, we can feel the magic, love and joy from that day all over again.
I cannot recommend Alex enough for her services. You will not only want Alex to capture your one special day, you will want her there at all of your special moments as your life and family continues to grow. -

We are SO glad we chose Idalia Photography to capture our wedding. All you have to do is take a quick look at their work to see they are the best in the business. You would NEVER believe that the photos she took at our (outdoor) wedding were taken on the same day as Hurricane Henri. Alex made a last minute decision to go to the Princeton University campus for our first look and portraits so we could use the buildings there for shelter from the rain, but we got lucky and it didn't end up raining while we were there and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful! The photos are especially meaningful to us since we spent lots of time on that campus together growing up.
Not only that, but Alex was incredibly flexible with us as we had to delay our wedding into 2021 due to Covid-19. She had excellent communication with us throughout the entirety of our wedding planning process and made planning every detail incredibly easy. Not only that but Alex and her team were a joy to work with, they made us feel like celebrities while also blending right into the event itself and giving us the space to enjoy ourselves. Idalia Photography was the best decision we made when planning our wedding and we are so glad we chose them to capture our special day. We highly recommend Alex for your wedding or event! -

Amazing experience and LOVE our photos!
We are SO HAPPY that we chose Idalia Photography! Alex was lovely, down-to-earth, professional and so easy to speak and work with. Marianne was our photographer for our Save the Date and we could already tell that she was a great match for us. My husband is a bit of an introvert but Marianne made us so comfortable in a short amount of time and made taking pictures so easy! It also made us even more comfortable on our big day. We were thrilled with both our save the date and wedding day photos. Highly recommend! -

Amazing!!!
Alex and her team are AMAZING. I found Idalia Photography on Pinterest (before I was even engaged) and knew that I NEEDED photos like that from my wedding day. At the time, I didn’t realize that working with Alex and her team would get me SO MUCH more than just beautiful pictures. Leading up to the day I worked directly with Alex to nail down all the details and she created a perfect timeline for our day… and then created an entirely new one last minute when I changed my mind (oops!). She made sure everything was communicated to the associates who were assigned to my day and it was a seamless process. Marianne was my lead shooter and she was amazing. She did our engagement pictures last year on literally THE hottest day of the year and my husband and I enjoyed ourselves so much I actually forgot about how hot it was. She instantly made us feel so comfortable and was great at posing and cueing us exactly how she wanted. Myra was our second shooter the day of the wedding and she was just as awesome. Every time the lighting was good or the shot looked good through her camera she was yelling out compliments and cheering us on; she definitely kept us laughing all day. The two of them worked amazing together and then also with our videographer. I know it is a very busy time for vendors, but Alex always made me feel like my wedding was priority #1 and responded almost immediately to any emails/questions I had. She also made sure that I had sneak peeks ASAP, which I really appreciated. The day goes by in a flash and you’re so sad that it’s over, that it is nice to get a few real pics so soon after! Her and her team truly went above and beyond to capture each detail of my wedding day and I am so grateful to have so many beautiful images to look back on. -

My husband and I were lucky enough to have worked with Alex in October 2020. We knew her bright, airy aesthetic would be the perfect representation of our beach wedding at LBI—and man, were we right! Alex is a true artist, and we can confidently recommend her to any couple.
The entire process was extremely smooth—from the months before, to the day of, to the delivery of the final product. We really appreciated her professionalism, timeliness, and clarity on her process during the planning stage, which really set our minds at ease.
The day of our wedding was just amazing and carefree (perks of an intimate, easy-going wedding). We knew we were in good hands from the moment Alex and her assistant showed up. Both ladies were warm yet focused, effortlessly capturing all of the most important shots as well as the smaller details and candids we didn't know we needed. Their direction felt very natural the entire time.
A week after our wedding, I cried happy tears when we saw the preview gallery of the photographer's favorite photos—we knew we chose the right person to capture our day! The final product is stunning—the composition, lighting, and all of the details are carefully considered and consistent. Our photos are truly the gift that keeps on giving. -

Idalia Photography was the first vendor we hired for our wedding, and it was the best decision we could have made! No joke, I love Alex’s photos so much I emailed her a few hours after getting engaged! From our engagement shoot to coming up with plan B (due to Covid) to building our wedding album, Alex has been incredibly communicative and on-the-ball. She handled every curveball we’ve thrown her with grace and played a huge hand in making our microwedding such a fantastic day. Without a wedding planner, I worried a lot about the logistics of the day (as most brides do!) and Alex’s schedule set the course for a smooth event. Our photos are beyond gorgeous. While planning a wedding in 2020 was a stressful and uncertain time, when we look back on the photos I see nothing but the perfect day we had! I’m so grateful for Alex and team capturing all the best moments of our wedding—these documents will be treasured for years to come. We’re already looking forward to working with Alex again at our reception! I would wholeheartedly recommend Idalia to any couple. -

My husband and I got married on September 12, 2020 at Windows on The Water at Frogbridge in NJ. We knew after seeing Idalia’s photos, we had to book them for our wedding. Idalia photography’s style is timeless and romantic, we loved how bright the photos were. We were instantly drawn to it. Jocelyn and Marianne worked seamlessly with our videographer throughout the day, and we had a completely stress-free experience. Jocelyn, Marianne, and the team exceeded our expectations. They were an absolute joy to work with. We appreciated their calm presence, professional opinion, and efficiency while working with a bridal party of 25! They deserved a metal for being able to manage this huge bridal party while getting the most amazing photos. They made sure we got the shots we wanted in an expeditious manner so we had plenty of time to enjoy the cocktail hour and party! Alex was always responsive and informative (even after the wedding!) We have gotten so many compliments on our photographs – not only how amazing they are, but also the speed in which we received them. One week after our wedding, Alex provided a preview of fully edited photos and created a blog post of our special day which was nice to receive on our honeymoon. We then worked with Alex to create our wedding album. This process was also very smooth and Alex made it extremely easy with how organized and detail oriented she is. We can not describe to you how beautiful our wedding album came out! She was knowledgeable, professional and easy-going throughout the whole process. She made everything effortless for us. And, of course, her work is simply amazing. There is a reason she has so many five star reviews. She knows what she is doing and is clearly consistent.
We couldn't be more pleased with her work, we recommend her highly for any wedding/engagement/celebration photography!

We planned a small wedding due to COVID-19, so pictures were a big priority for us. We had to compromise in other areas, but wanted to be sure we had photos to share and remember our day. Alex could not have been more amazing! We were thrilled she was available for our Labor Day weekend wedding. Her photos speak for themselves. She is an artist! She and another photographer, Amber, came to our home for pictures before our wedding, then we drove to the ceremony and reception. She captured special details, and so many happy moments and memories. She took gorgeous photos of our families, remembered our timeline, and captured incredible images of my husband's children. Her kind, professional manner made it comfortable to have her as a part of our wedding day and to communicate with during planning. We highly recommend to her to any couple or family. -

FLAWLESS! After securing my date with my reception venue and church, Idalia Photography was THE FIRST vendor I booked, and for good reason. I knew after seeing Alex's photos that I NEEDED her as my wedding photographer. I wanted the light & airy look, but being pretty fair-skinned I, at the same time, didn't just want my photos overexposed and risk looking washed out. In my early wedding planning naivety, that was pretty much all I was looking for and I just (!) thought Alex took breathtaking photos. However, in hindsight, I gained so much more by booking with Alex. I can say with complete honesty, that she is the most professional vendor out there. From the start, she was flexible working with our budget, adjusting hours/services to make it work for us. If you're hesitating at all, just email her and you will see what I mean (though I hear her 2021 dates are all booked up, she does have associate photographers that have a few dates available as of the writing of this review!!!) After booking with Alex, she sent us a package filled with her bridal guide she wrote herself which was truly invaluable, plus extra goodies and mementos to get us excited for our wedding and to just enjoy the time we had as an engaged couple. Once we got our engagement photos back, it only further cemented our comfort level in having booked Idalia Photography. A couple months after our engagement session, COVID hit and without skipping a beat, Alex was with us every step of the way to make sure we could achieve a beautiful wedding, even with the restrictions in place. She listened to all my concerns and made everything work out. She created a wedding day timeline for us and worked with my wedding coordinator on the finer details. I knew I could trust Alex's expertise so I looked to her for vendor recommendations based on who she has worked with and found success with in the past. My photographer was my most important vendor since the photos are what last a lifetime, so I wanted to make sure everything jived with her. The day of the wedding, Alex came with her second shooter AND an assistant. I truly felt like they all wanted us to have the best day ever and we felt super taken care of. We opted to take extra pictures during our cocktail hour and I'm so glad we did because they came out so beautiful and, again, the pictures were so important to us (and don't worry, our caterer made sure we got the appetizers!). We got a preview of our photos back a week later and are obsessed! We've looked at them every day since, trying to relive all the memories we can because our day was so wonderful, thanks in BIG part to Alex and her team. We are so excited to get our full gallery back and we are sure they are going to blow us away! Also, because Alex brought an assistant with her, she was taking mini videos in the background and surprised us with an instagram reel a couple weeks after the wedding which brought tears to our eyes! In short, we LOVED having Alex. She was the easiest person to work with, extremely professional, top-notch talented and creative, and we have 0 regrets booking her. If you want to be rest assured that one area of your wedding is 100% taken care of, book this photographer and just trust her! I wish I could give a million stars! Working with Alex and the whole Idalia Photography team was nothing short of spectacular. From the very beginning, Alex was always quick to respond to our questions and provide options and additional information when needed. Our engagement shoot was amazing, and it was so great to get to know her before our wedding day. The aspect that made me feel so calm on my wedding day, was Alex's organization and attention to detail. Receiving a timeline of the day, the exact shots that would be taken and when put my mind at ease. She was also very flexible to some special shots I wanted taken. Our sneak peak photos came about a week after our wedding with the full gallery coming shortly after. Everything was in one place through the photo sharing program, along with a USB and other goodies Alex sent once all our photos were finished. I could go on and on about how great my husband and my experience was with Idalia Photography. 5 out of 5 in all aspects. Married on 7/13/19. -

We hired Jay and Alex for our wedding back in August 2019 after my wife discovered their beautiful work online. We were initially blown away at the quality of photos shown on their website as well as through others who had used them, but this was only the beginning. After we began working with them, we felt a level of comfort from both Jay and Alex that we were going to get the pictures we wanted.
Our first interaction with Idalia was for our engagement shoot at the Jersey Shore with Alex. Alex did a fantastic job of collecting wonderful pictures of my wife and I on the beach, moving to multiple locations as we requested.
We received access to our engagement photos very quickly after the engagement shoot through their online portal. This portal is incredibly easy to use, and allows you to sign your contract, pay for their services, and see your photos (organized for ease of access!).
After this photo shoot, the communication levels remained high, touching base frequently to discuss the shots for our wedding, logistics, coordination, and all other details for our special day.
Once our wedding day came, both Jay and Alex were professional , courteous, and focused on getting us the best pictures possible; as expected, they did not disappoint. We were beyond thrilled with the photos from our wedding, and are so excited to have them for the rest of our lives!!!
We are so grateful for Jay and Alex and hope they have continued success with their photography. If you are looking for a photographer for a wedding (or any special event!), they are worth it and highly recommended from us! -

We are so grateful to have found both Alex and Jay from my brothers wedding and luckily they had an opening to do our wedding a year and a half later! We are so glad we decided to choose Idalia Photography for our June 2019 wedding! Alex was a joy to work with throughout the entire process. She is professional, personable, and willing to work with you. She sent the cutest welcome package after we booked her which lets you know she really cares about her couples. We had Marianne and Sarah shoot our wedding and they were wonderful! Our first look was hot, humid, and buggy, and then it rained during our ceremony - they seemed to enjoy shooting in both despite the crazy weather and made the photos look amazing. We got a sneak peak with a bunch of photos about 1 week after the wedding which was so fun to look at during the honeymoon! Then we got a few print outs with the delivery of our final photos on USB which was so sweet! Thank you Alex, Marianne, and Sarah for such a wonderful experience! Everyone told me to make sure you like your wedding photographers because they’d be spending SO much time with you on your wedding day...and they were right! We were so lucky to find photographers that we absolutely LOVED! From the minute my husband and I met Alex and Jay we knew that they would be our wedding photographers. I cannot recommend them enough. They are responsive, caring, and seriously talented. Alex was available to answer all of my wedding questions (including ones that weren’t even photography related) throughout the entire wedding planning process. She always responded within hours, which was so calming for this anxious, type-A bride. Months before the wedding, Alex and Jay sent us a very detailed timeline, and they were VERY flexible with it once we made several changes to our wedding day plan. The day of the wedding was incredible. It POURED all day, but I never worried for a minute. Alex and Jay arrived on time, with umbrellas and a plan to get us beautiful photos-no matter what the day brought. Our videographer, who was NOT part of Idalia or recommended by them, unfortunately did not show up in time to film the groomsmen getting ready. Of course, since this was part of our plan, it was very important to us. Jay stepped right in and even took some VIDEO footage for us! Alex and Jay were professional and patient with our 16-person bridal party, and got all of the shots we wanted all on the timeline that we planned. They also got us our photos SO quickly after the wedding so we could relive the memories and share them with our friends and families. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous and we are so thankful for them! In the end, Alex and Jay felt more like our friends and wedding guests than photographers that we hired!

Simply the best!
I truly cannot say enough good things about Alex and Jay. From the moment we met them, we knew they were the perfect photographers for us. Our engagement session was so much fun and exactly the style we were hoping for. Our wedding photos - don't get me started on our wedding photos!! THEY ARE PERFECTION! Our album is absolutely gorgeous and they made the entire ordering process so easy.

Alex and Jay from Idalia Photography were a dream come true for my (now) husband and I. We worked with them on both our engagement and wedding photos. They have a way of making you feel both comfortable and beautiful while taking your picture. Not only that, but Alex has an impeccable eye when it comes to capturing candid shots and the beautiful details that may have otherwise gone unseen. They are also very kind, funny, and charismatic. What I loved most about them is that they sincerely love what they do. Nothing felt like a chore, but rather - every shot felt like a magical moment. My entire family, all of my friends and my husband absolutely loved working with them. They are timely, professional, kind, thoughtful, and they go above and beyond to make the clients happy. They make the process of getting your photos so easy through an app on your phone, and the turnaround time was insanely fast. Finding a photographer that I loved was high up on my priority list when it came to wedding planning. Beautiful wedding pictures are something that you will always have to look back on all the wonderful memories you created on the day that you said *I Do*! What my husband and I received by booking Idalia Photography was more than we could have hoped for! I consider us very lucky for finding Alex and Jay and that they were available! They are so professional and talented. From our engagement shoot, to the wedding, to receiving a preview within a couple weeks and getting to see all of the incredible images.... we are beyond grateful and soooo happy! Sara Sent on 07/24/2018Most good photographers can capture wedding portraits (although probably not as beautiful as Idalia can!!!), but not all photographers can capture the emotion, the action, and the details of a wedding day. Idalia has a distinct, high quality style… Alex and Jay’s photos are light-filled and simply stated: BEAUTIFUL.
One of the BEST decisions that we made for our June 2018 wedding was to book Alex and Jay. From the initial Skype interview, to our engagement shoot, to our wedding day, working with Idalia Photography was seamless and effortless. Alex was beyond friendly and professional and she was always available, flexible, and thorough every step of the way.
On our wedding day, Alex and Jay worked seamlessly together and knew each other’s every next move… I guess that’s one benefit of a wife and husband team! They blended into the background most of the time, but also stepped up to give direction for certain shots and helped us to stay within our schedule. Both Alex and Jay worked smoothly with our other vendors (if there were any issues- we didn’t know about them!). They worked outside through temperature in the 90s without complaint or hesitation… and did everything possible to get the “best shot”… including laughing off when I accidently soaked Jay with my celebratory champagne spray (and still managed to capture the shot somehow!). From the details photos of our invitation/jewelry/flowers/venue to my flowing “veil shots” to our dance floor… every moment and emotion of our day was captured.
We received about 100 “photographer’s favorites” pictures while on our honeymoon (not even one full week after our wedding day!) and we felt like we were re-living our big day all over again. We are SO beyond grateful to Alex and Jay for helping the memory of our wedding day live on through our many photos!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

It all started a few years ago when my sister got engaged, being the MOH I was responsible for choosing a photographer, as photographer myself it's only natural that I would be SUPER picky selecting a photographer. After a few dozen of websites, I was pretty bummed either cheap and low quality or super expensive and STILL horrible quality. But then we stumbled upon Idalia Photography. I was speechless, Idalia Photography work really touched me, it was as though I could feel their passion through each photograph. I loved how whimsical, light, and magical these images were.
Idalia Photography is a husband and wife duo, Alex and Jay. They are very professional, organized, talented, patient, and kind. When my huge family huddled around trying to take pictures with their iPhones (lol), they took a step back to allow my family to get the shot and without hesitation continued on. This was a pleasant surprised, and I was really impressed how they handled themselves in a chaotic situation.
I love how they have the technical eye but also have a beautiful creative eye as well. I really enjoyed seeing them use a variety of lenses to capture the day, especially seeing the shallow depth of field being executed via one of the many lenses was beautiful. ( rare these days)
Idalia Photography’s stunning work really made an impact on so many people in my life. Not only they captured my sister’s wedding but they also did my wedding, in a week will do my cousin's, and in a year photograph my cousin’s sister-in-law!
When choosing a photographer always remember…. a professional no matter what that lighting is outside will ALWAYS get the shot.

Their romantic photos speak for themselves, but the people behind the camera are what truly sets Idalia apart. Alex & Jay are an awesome husband and wife team who make you feel like they've been your friends for years. You'll spend more time with your photographers than anyone else on your wedding day, so it was important to us that they were people we actually liked hanging out with. Throughout the entire planning process, Alex was extremely organized and responsive to all of my outreach. Her bubbly personality carries over into her emails, and it made me feel great that she seemed genuinely excited leading up to our big day! Alex created a thorough, customizable timeline early in the process which made it easy to visualize the flow of the day. She surprised us with thoughtful touches along the way, such as a sending us a movie gift card once we were officially booked, and including bonus prints with the flash drive she mailed after the wedding. Alex also maintains an informative blog, which is how I discovered the vendor who made my wedding invitations. In addition to putting my groom and me at ease, Alex and Jay were also big hits with our guests. I've been a bridesmaid before and have sometimes felt treated like a prop by the photographer, but Alex knew all of my bridesmaids by their names. Less than a week after our wedding, there was a wedding preview on Alex's blog along with a sweet write-up of the day - it was a wonderful treat to see that during our honeymoon! I can honestly say that there is nothing I would change about our experience with Idalia Photography - they exceeded all of our high expectations. (And despite their impeccable service, they are one of very few vendors who did NOT immediately email me after the wedding to request a review.)

Casey Sent on 05/31/2015Alex and Jay are amazing! We first hired them to do our engagement photos and knew we wanted to book them for our wedding as soon as we got the photos in! We booked both photography and videography services with Idalia. Alex and Jay were so helpful in the planning process, talking through local places to take photos, as well as helping with any issues we came across, like whether or not I should wear my glasses on the day of, or what our options would be if it rained.
When it came time for the wedding Alex helped us put together a definitive timeline for our day. Jay and Alex arrived bright and early as we were getting ready and stayed with us the whole day, capturing all the big and small moments along the way. We had a second photographer and a video assistant as well. They are super friendly and amazing at what they do. We have only received our wedding highlights, but we already know the rest of the photos are going to be amazing. Alex and Jay were excited for our big day. We'd been working with them for almost two years, and it was great to see that they cared about us and our day and vision! I can't wait to see the rest of the photos and the video!
We booked Idalia a year and a half before our wedding because we knew we wanted to use their services, but in those 18 months, Alex and Jay made us feel so special. We received a one year to go package and periodic items in the mail from them exclaiming their excitement as the day got closer. It made the experience of working with a vendor so personal and I repeatedly said throughout the process, "Our photographers are the best!" They just really care about their clients. We are really excited to have used Idalia for our engagement and wedding photos, and can't wait to continue using their services as we start our family!

Christina Sent on 09/15/2014This review is a little late since we were waiting for our video trailer, which we were thrilled to receive last week. Working with Alex and Jay was a dream from the beginning when we did our engagement shoot in May 2013. Communication was quick and they were very accommodating with personal requests and pricing. We initially planned our engagement shoot for NYC where we lived, but it rained and we had to re-schedule for Memorial Day weekend. We happened to be down the shore, and they were willing to shoot even on the holiday. The boardwalk photos were amazing and we received them quickly. We used multiple shots for our Save the Dates and website. They are truly stunning and so artistic. We received many compliments, and it really set the tone for our wedding.
Flash forward 1yr to May 2014, and they did an amazing job for our wedding as well! In the month leading up, Alex was very organized and we got on the same page with locations, formal, and detail shots. They were professional throughout the very long day. We had a full Catholic mass, rain (again!) during our photos outside, and then reception with the day starting 8am and ending 11pm. They brought charming umbrellas so we could still get romantic shots outside. They captured so many cherished moments. Family, friends, and colleagues who saw the blog post of the wedding were blown away. Both our engagement and wedding photos were published on other wedding sites, which Alex, Jay, and Megan (who assisted with photography) really deserve. The wedding video trailer is amazing and brought tears and smiles to all. They are a wonderful, talented team, and we would recommend them to anyone. -

Megan Sent on 09/02/2013My husband and I got married on August 16, 2013. Idalia Photography was recommended to me by another bride who said Alex and Jay were professional, talented and affordable. She was so right and we are so happy to write them a review to hopefully recommend them to another couple. From the start Alex and Jay were incredibly responsive and creative. Our engagement shots were amazing and the session was so much fun to do. Alex made my husband and I feel comfortable and showed us how to have fun while taking pictures. We met with Alex and Jay about a month before our wedding to go over final details. They made us feel so at ease about not only the photography, but the day itself. Alex arrived bright and early to take shots of me getting ready at my hair salon. From that moment on, she was not only our wedding photographer, but my wedding planner. She calmly would comment on the time and helped me manage 6 girls, my parents and myself getting hair and makeup done and taking pictures. She truly went above and beyond the job of 'photographer.' My husband had a great experience with Jay getting ready and the pictures came out great! The rest of the day and evening were captured in Alex and Jay's creative and candid way of photographing. Our bridal party had a blast taking pictures at the park and picture taking never seemed daunting. I never felt once that we had to stop the party to take any pictures. Yet, when we looked at our sneak peak, Alex and Jay captured some of the best and most candid times at our reception. AMAZING JOB ALEX AND JAY!!!

We hired Alex for 6 hours for our wedding We had met with her for our engagement session last year and the pictures were absolutely stunning. Needless to say she saved the day and somehow managed to still capture beautiful pictures on our wedding day, in torrential downpour during our ceremony. Pricewise I personally think they are slightly on the higher end but to be honest at the end of the day the pictures do really help remember and capture some of the best parts of your day and was the best money I spent on my wedding hands down. -
