Sharon made us some absolutely delicious kitchen/sheet cakes for our wedding reception. We have used her for both my own wedding and my sisters and have nothing put great things to say. She's very helpful during the ordering process and can make some really gorgeous and yummy cakes. We had enough cake for 120 people with only 100 guests and every bit was devoured. My mom loves wedding cakes and said hers is one of the best she's ever-had. Highly recommend going to her for cakes, cookies, and beyond! :)

So delicious!
Our cakes were absolutely delicious! The planning process was so easy and our cake tasting was two mini cake which we had many flavors to pick from! We chose carrot cake and almond cake, our friends and family agreed that they were both delicious! The icing design was simple and beautiful just like I wanted.

Delicious AND Beautiful
Sharon was great to work with and is a true master of her craft. She is patient, knowledgeable, and gave us exactly what we wanted. We ordered a small cutting cake along with 4 batches of cupcakes for our wedding reception, and they were all absolutely delicious and beautifully done. Our guests are still raving about how much they loved the cupcakes! So many flavor options, too. Sharon also delivered and elegantly set up our cake table, and graciously let us use her tiered cupcake stand. I also worked with Sharon on the groom's Star Wars cake. I had bought a nightlight for it as the cake topper, which Sharon incorporated expertly, and my now-husband was absolutely thrilled with it. Also, forget what you thought you knew about fondant--Sharon's is very tasty! We've all been to so many weddings where the cake was beautiful, but dry and tasteless. Not the case here! Sharon's cakes are beautiful, flavorful, and moist--some of, if not THE best cakes I've ever had. Highly recommended--you're in the best of hands with Icing on the Edge!

The Perfect Cake, Tasted Amazing
Perfection! Neither of us are big on cake, but when we had our tasting with Sharon we were blown away! We didn’t really have an idea of what we wanted, but she really helped guide us to finding the perfect style of cake! The ability to have as many flavors as layers was great for offering variety. I can say for certain the strawberry cream cheese was quite possibly the greatest cake I have ever tasted. I have also been told by guests that the other layers were phenomenal as well. The cake was absolutely perfect!!

Sharon makes fantastic cakes! So sweet and delicious! And they look incredible as well! We went with a more simple cake because I don’t like ones with a ton of stuff. We did 4 different flavors- white with strawberry jam, white with caramel, chocolate with chocolate, and red velvet with buttercream. I wish there had been more left so we could have tried them all! But the white with strawberry jam is so amazing. The fact that we didn’t have any left should tell you how much people loved it!!

We had Sharon make our cake for our wedding and we were so happy with it that we are having her make us more cake for Thanksgiving! It not only was a beautiful work of art it tasted so good! We had almond with raspberry filling and white with salted caramel filling. Both were amazing. A few guests commented that cake is usually just cake at a wedding, but ours was especially good and they wanted more! We went with all of her suggestions and were very pleased. We met with her one time and were then able to communicate via email. Our cake was then there waiting for us on our wedding day! We will definitely use her again in the future and highly recommend her.

When deciding on wedding cakes not only was it important that the cake be beautiful, more importantly was that it tasted great! We had both with our wedding and grooms cake. With so many combinations of cake and fillings flavors to choose from we had a little of this and that. We had a 4 tier cake each with its own flavor and filling and then the grooms cake. My husband and I hired Icing on the Edge for our wedding last September and it was one of the best decisions we ever made! Sharon is creative, super accommodating and very professional. We went into our consultation not knowing what flavors we wanted and after tasting her AMAZING flavors, it made our decision even harder. But despite narrowing down our decision, we had a theme we wanted to stick to – a naked cake that went along with our golden red, white and blue theme. Sharon came up with the best strategy of our BEAUTIFUL three-tiered cake with the most delicious flavors. And the icing on the cake… all pun intended… is that she offered our one-year anniversary cake as a cake she will prepare for our anniversary upon request versus saving the top tier for a year and risking an old crusty cake for our first anniversary. The cake was a hit with our guests too and we couldn’t have asked for a better presentation! Icing on the Edge has reasonable pricing and the BEST owner who will help create your dream cake, no matter what your vision.

The best advice is to use no one else. Icing on the Edge made exactly what we asked for and the final product was better than we ever thought it would be. 5 delicious layers of heaven and icing. Each layer was a different flavor and the cake was made for 200 guest of which only 135 guest attended. There was very little left. We had the chocolate with rasberry filling, a red velvet with cream cheese filling and a key lime (my favorite) with cream cheese key lime. OMG!!!!! all to die for. Thank you Sharon it was wonderful. And the grooms cake was perfect and delicious. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making my daughter's wedding a delicious affair.

Sharon's cake spoke for itself once we tasted it, and the design she came up with for us was incredibly unique! I wanted something unique, and she made suggestions that fit the type of cake topper I wanted. We ended up with an oval cake with our monogram and ribbon. Sharon drew a few designs for us while we were with her, and priced out various types of cake. After meeting with her, we felt the decision was incredibly easy to make, and everyone loved her cake! We met with one other cake vendor, and she did not compare to Sharon at all.
In the two weeks leading up to the wedding, Sharon was incredibly easy to work with. She made the changes we needed as our guests count had declined. She delivered the cake the day of the wedding, and everyone raved about it. The venue coordinator even told me multiple times that she would be recommending Sharon in the future to other brides because the cake was that amazing looking. Our guests loved the taste as well and kept asking where the cake had come from. So happy with our decision!

My husband and I were at a bridal fair and tasted some of Sharon's truffles and that's all we needed! I contacted her immediately and we had a consultation with complimentary cake. We ended up ordering a small cake, cupcakes, and truffles for our wedding day. Sharon was great with all the details, including making sure if I wanted a round cake with a square or round board (my cake stand was square). We had so many compliments on all of the desserts I'm just sad I didn't get to try all of them. Luckily our wedding coordinator saved two of each truffle flavor and I must say the pumpkin is amazing! I definitely recommend it. Price was in mid range compared yo other wedding cake vendors, but the best cake we've had, the best decoration, and service from the beginning was stupendous. Free cake tasting, and she sent us home with the two flavor cakes we tasted. At our wedding our catering had deserts included and for that reason we didn't think people were going to have much room to eat cake. Well, cake was so amazingly moist, fresh, and delicious that they were looking for second servings. We chose the almond cake with kaluah folling, and the yellow cake with fresh strawberries and wiped cream filling. They were both to die for. Decoration was amazing!

Sharon has a wide range of options from different flavors of cake to different flavors of filling. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. She provides a complimentary cake tasting according to your selections with an in person consult. Even the cake "testers" were wonderful. The cake itself was moist and perfectly made. The flavors in the fillings were delicious without being too heavy or strong. She was able to provide us with her own personal advice and opinions when we asked for because we were having such a hard time choosing. Wedding day came and she delivered the cake exactly at the time she promised. It was well packaged and exactly what we had discussed. She gave us exact instructions on how to preserve our top layer for our anniversary. We can't wait to eat more of our perfect cake!

Let me tell you. This woman can make a cake. I can't tell you how many people told me they loved my cake. I always go to wedding and hate the cake. I wondered if the couple every tasted the cake before they picked the baker. So when I got engaged I knew I wanted a good cake. Sharron was willing to make 6 difference flavors for my cake at no extra cost. She her price is based off of number of servings not number of flavors. She did a great job. I would highly recommend her! You won't go wrong.

Having a delicious wedding cake was important to me, and Sharon's cakes are the best I've had! She was able to suggest a lot of different flavors and fillings to fit our season. She offers a variety of options to fit any budget-we did a 3 layered cake, and also a lot of cake shots. The cake shots were gone before dinner was over, and there were only a few slices of cake left over...I got so many compliments on it!

The moistness, good tasting icing, along with elegant appearance is SUPER FANTASTIC!!!! Sharon was one of my husband and I favorite vendors. Our wedding cake was so good that we had none left. The day after wedding my husband inquired about a layer of pumpkin cake and how he did not taste any. Needless to say, I ended up calling Sharon on our honeymoon lol to request/order a layer of pumpkin cake and she readily had it available upon our return. You can't go wrong with "Icing on the Edge." Icing on the Edge provided the wedding cake and grooms cake for my daughter's wedding on May 17, 2014. Both cakes were perfect. The grooms cake was a roulette wheel using fondant. The attention to detail was amazing. The roulette ball was specifically placed on the date of the wedding - written in numbers on the wheel. So unique. The wedding cake was gorgeous - five tier ivory buttercream cake with a pearl sheen. Flowers from Chelish Moore were placed on the cake by Icing on the Edge. They cascaded down the side of the cake. A stunningly beautiful masterpiece. Thanks Sharon!

I found Sharon at a wedding fair and was so impressed with her cakes. But I wanted something different for my nontraditional wedding.Then she showed me her cake pops and I was sold. They were incredibly moist and delicious.We only had 4 left and when I ate the last one 5 days after the wedding, it was just as moist as the day of. This was hands down the best cake I have ever had. I was serioudly depressed when I had to throw the last little bit of the top away because we had eaten it all! I initially saw and tasted a cake that Sharon baked at a friend’s wedding in August 2011. That cake was INCREDIBLE! In my initial meeting with Sharon, I was nervous because I just knew that a cake was going to cost me near a $1000. I couldn’t have been more WRONG!
Sharon explained how cakes are portioned and the difference in the amount of cake needed when serving alcohol. Sharon also informed us, she was running a special which would allow us to have a cake shipped to us on our one year anniversary. This allowed us to serve all the layers of our cake. Talk about cost effective. Within 10 minutes of meeting with Sharon, my nerves were eased. She was down to earth while talking with my husband, mom, and myself. We even had a little football conversation.
I knew Sharon was talented with baking and designing, but our wedding cake surpassed my greatest expectation. It was BEAUTIFUL, tasted great, and was AFFORDABLE. Everyone talked about how good our cake was and how beautiful it looked. Sharon, you were fabulous.

I am giving 5 stars to all of my vendors they made the night perfect. I do not think I would change anything. Sharon was great to work with. She allowed me to change my design of my cake 4 times without any fussing. In the end we decided on a beautiful show cake that I designed of course with a little of her imagination, 200 cake shots in 3 tasteful flavors, 200 truffles in 4 flavors. And believe it or not everything was completely gone by the end of the night. Everything was so delicious I just want her to make me a cake just cause to eat!! I met Sharon at the charlotte wedding expo in January. During that wedding show you meet hundreds of vendors but Icing on the Edge stood out! We set up a cake tasting with her quickly. She had a fantastic display of options and lots of pictures to look at. However I had this vision of something different them the typical wedding cake table. Sharon listened to all the details of what I wanted and was able to make the vision even better with her creative cake shots! In the end we decided we would have 5 cakes, 96 cake shots, and 44 cake truffles. What a big and crazy task to take on but the best part was Sharon was excited! I left the meeting with a big smile on my face and knew that was the cake vendor we were going to go with!
The day of the wedding, after our first dance, I went straight to the cake table to see this crazy vision come true. It was better then I could have ever imagined. People were blown away by all the choices they had too! There was something for everyone and it was delicious! Our main cake was beautiful with rosettes all over. The cake shots were a hit and the truffles were gone quickly. Sharon has a great heart and a wonderful talent. You cannot go wrong using her for whatever vision or dream you have, no matter how crazy :)

Sharon at Icing on the Edge made such a beautiful cake for us! It was exactly what I wanted and was delicious. When we went to the tasting at her house she gave us two whole cakes to take home, which we loved!

I came across Icing on the Edge after attending a bridal showcase and sampling the cake truffles (cake balls). They were soo delicious that we decided on cake balls rather than a traditional cake for our wedding (about 400 of them!). Sharon at Icing on the Edge is very professional, very responsive and makes an excellent product. Even months after our wedding people are still raving about how delicious the cake balls were. I can't wait for my next event where I can order from Sharon again. I would highly recommend working with this vendor.

Sharon was a pleasure to work with. She is so talented and very professional. I had her make our wedding cake, changed the design and then added a groom's cake a couple of weeks before the wedding. Everything turned out wonderful and I am still having people tell me how beautiful they thought the cake tasted. I first met her at a bridal show and fell in love with how MOIST her cake sample was. She did not disappoint on our wedding day!!!

All I can say for my wedding cake was WOW!!! Sharon did an outstanding job on the decorating and flavor of the cake and it was absolutely beautiful, exactly what I wanted. We received many compliments on the flavor; I was surprised there was any left over! Sharon also did a great job on the grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner; the flavor was delicious! Thank you so much Sharon for helping to make our day special!

Sharon makes amazing cakes! She had a lot of really good suggestions for us, and was patient with us as we looked and looked through her books to decide what we wanted. You can't beat her prices for the quality of cake you get. The finished product at our wedding was amazingly gorgeous. We could not have been any happier!

Sharon from Icing on the Edge blew me away with the most wedding cake I could imagine. She was extremely flexible when I needed to change the icing color from white to ivory 2 weeks before the wedding. She let me come over that same day to pick the sprinkles that would look the best on that color icing. On the wedding day, the BEAUTIFUL cake was delivered safely and on time. The guests enjoyed the cake so much there was hardly any to take home!! So happy I chose Icing on the Edge!

Sharon made us a stunning and delicious cake for our wedding and we could not be happier!! I chose two different flavors for my three tiered cake and we decided to freeze the top tier for next year, at Sharon's recommendation. There was not a single piece left over at the end of the night!! She worked hard to create over 200 fondant flowers to cover my cake and it was absolutely gorgeous!! I would highly recommend her.

We worked with Sharon to design a two tier wedding cake and 75 wedding cake shots. Sharon's cakes are terrific and our guest loved the different flavors. She did an excellent job displaying the cake and wedding shot and incorporating our vintage milk glass cake stand. We are looking forward to ordering our anniversary cake next year.

The cake was delicious but the bow on the cake was suppose to be purple. Since the bow was not purple, the whole cake looked plain. Also, when we went to return the plastic pieces that were holding up the cake, the cake lady gave us an attitude and shut the door on us and did not say thank you. That was very rude.
