Beautiful, Professional, Flexible

We loved working with I. Gorman. Every appointment, we were met with kindness, professionalism, and creativity. When we couldn't find a design that was just "it", they helped us design a ring that was perfect for me. Their knowledge of the industry and design was impressive but never snobby or overbearing. We enjoyed every appointment.

Attentive and Knowledgeable

Very attentive and perceptive to each of our styles. Allison was excellent at making our engagement ring selection process fun, interesting, and not overwhelming. We loved shopping for the engagement ring together so much here that we came back when it was time to pick out our wedding bands. For that, Adam helped us and he was equally helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for making such an overwhelming process easy to handle.

We got our engagement ring and wedding bands at I. Gorman and they are beautiful! Their jewelry is so modern and unique looking. We get so many complements on our bands. We had a family diamond set into the engagement ring, and they were extremely accommodating with that. They are so trusting to work with - we will definitely be coming back to them in the future.

I can't speak highly enough about the team at I. Gorman jewelers. I (the bride) went to I. Gorman about a year before we got engaged and looked at rings. Adam, one of the owners, helped me and my future MoH around and kept a wish list and my ring size on file. It made it super easy for my now-husband to go to the shop and have an idea of what to get me. He had a great experience working with them and my engagement ring is perfect. They clean the ring for free at any point. We went back to them for our wedding bands and they were incredibly helpful finding us the perfect rings and getting them to us with plenty of time before the wedding. Such a great operation!

I highly recommend iGorman for engagement rings and wedding bands. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the DC area. My wife and I went to several different stores as we were looking at engagement rings and iGorman had the most unique designs and exceptional customer service. We loved the experience so much that we didn’t even consider other options when it came time to select wedding bands. We predominantly worked with Nicole Gorman and she was knowledgeable, patient, and lovely to work with. I think the first time most of us have to buy a diamond is when we’re planning to propose to the love of our life. While this is a special moment, it can be daunting. Nicole and the other professionals at iGorman will put you at ease and take the time to explain everything you need to know about diamonds in a relaxed, unpretentious environment. They will also do their best to match your budget and needs. As a lesbian couple, my wife and I felt comfortable at iGorman the moment we set foot inside the store. We love our rings and recommend iGorman to everyone we know who is planning to get married.

I love my engagement ring from iGorman! My fiance and I worked with Jill and she could not have been nicer. We were immediately greeted with mimosas when we walked in the door, which was really nice, especially when getting ready to make a big purchase. The store feels much more inviting than many of the other jewelry stores I've been to. Jill let me try on as many rings as I wanted and I didn't feel pressure to buy anything. I brought in an antique diamond that I wanted to use an my center stone for my ring and Jill examined and weighed it. I felt like my diamond was in good hands with her. And the ring turned out beautifully with my diamond in it. She estimated 4 to 6 weeks for production and it was done in 4 and a half weeks. I was very pleased with the entire experience.

A few weeks ago, my fiancé proposed to me with a ring he purchased form I. Gorman. He told me he had a great experience working with one of the sales associates, Jill. I think the ring is absolutely gorgeous and I am thrilled. I plan to purchase our wedding rings from I. Gorman so I too can enjoy their excellent customer service!

We came in to iGorman to look for a wedding band for my husband. I went knowing that they had a decent selection that he could choose from (or at least look at for ideas) and left singing their praises as the best men's wedding band selection in town!

We worked with Marilyn who was just so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the rings we were looking at. She even offered to clean my ring which we had not purchased from the store!

The store itself is beautiful and had such a diverse selection of rings that it would be hard not to find the ring you're looking for.

We cannot say enough great things about iGorman! From the beginning, as I later found out, they very incredibly accommodating to my fiance's specific wishes for my engagement ring. They went above and beyond to give him exactly what he was after and we were both thrilled with a custom-made Todd Reed ER. Now, I ordered his wedding band from there and again was super impressed with their level of service. We've moved out of state and yet our contact, Marilyn, is so attentive and listens and delivers! We look forward to purchasing more items from them moving forward.

My fiance and I wanted matching wedding bands. He immediately found a ring he loved at iGorman, but I wasn't immediately sold on the bands available in a similar style. Allison was a great help. She put together what I liked about some rings, what I wanted different, and my preference to use the small diamonds from my grandmother's engagement ring. She reached out to Alishan, the designer, who was happy to work with us to make something custom. We had an opportunity to meet with Alishan during a designer event at the store. Alishan and his wife had great ideas that ended up reducing the cost of the ring while adding more matching elements. As a result, my fiance and I have matching bands that we both love!! I'm very thankful for all the extra effort the folks at IGorman put into our rings. Everytime we went into the store everyone was very helpful.

Every time I reach out to I. Gorman, I receive a prompt reply. They are incredibly professional and make you feel well cared for with every contact. I came originally with my boyfriend when we were starting to look at engagement rings. They patiently worked with him to make sure it exceeded his expectations. They were not pushy and didn't try to up sell or rush us. We will be definitely returning for our wedding bands.

My fiancé and I worked with Adam Gorman here and the experience could not have been better.

I wanted a custom ring - asscher cut, with two bullets on the sides. Yes, that's right. Bullets. Think of a rectangular baguette, but with a tapered end rather than a blunt edge (but not a 'shield'). Adam scoured the land for such gems, and finally came up with a dream asscher cut center diamond, and a couple bullet options (rare!) for us to choose from.

Adam was always responsive to my calls and emails. He was really flexible to our timeline.

I actually also custom designed a wedding band and, when I ended up not liking it, I was able to return it for a full refund! And THEN, Adam hustled to come up with a new band for me, all before the wedding!

Fantastic job from a 5-star place. I'm a customer for life.

I was so blown away by the personal attention and outstanding customer service I received from the staff at IGorman, better on both counts than any other business I've dealt with in any industry, that I will never shop anywhere else for jewelry, for as long as I live and IGorman is still in business.

There is so much they did well in our dealings, but one example stands out. When a shipper (a well known company not named UPS) failed to ensure the integrity of a package containing the engagement ring I had ordered, and it was lost/stolen, owner Ivan Gorman responded as if he had let down a customer, which he hadn't, and worked with the jewelry designer to replace the item with amazing speed. His compassion, along with that of his entire staff, during this trying situation moved me to tears.

We went to iGorman during a jewelry expo when we knew our favorite artist (Todd Reed) would be showcasing his work and meeting with customers in person. We knew we had a small budget to work with and had never bought jewelry of this value before. Even so, with many other customers buying far-more expensive jewelry, everyone at iGorman treated us with the same amount of respect and attention as the other customers. They spent significant time with us trying on rings and helping us to create our own designs. The entire process was so simple and exciting and we only have warm feelings for the staff. We highly recommend iGorman.

I love, love my wedding band that we picked out at iGorman. I came in to the store just three weeks before our wedding, and found a band that I loved there - Bonnie was able to work with the artist and vendors not only to get the ring done on time, but also to get Canadian diamonds (conflict free was important to me). Go see Nicole. I was a little wary when my husband first told me we had to go here because I am not a jewelry person, and it was a higher end store. I thought it would be intimidating because I had no idea what I wanted, but Nicole was incredibly nice and explained everything. 3 things to love:

- My engagement ring is not from iGorman, but they have cleaned my ring every time I have been in there.
- My husband decided he wanted a bigger ring after we made our purchase, and they were really nice about exchanging it and just charging the difference.

I simply cannot say enough about the wonderful experience that we had working with I Gorman. My husband purchased my engagement ring here and had a great experience, and we decided to come back to purchase our wedding bands. We mainly worked with Nicole, who is just so amazingly kind and helpful, but all of the staff here are extremely friendly and easy to work with. Nicole took her time explaining things to us, and went above and beyond multiple times to accomodate us and what we were looking for. I always looked forward to coming into the store because working with her and the other I Gorman staff was just such a pleasure. The Gorman family also makes it known that they appreciate their customers' business, which is really nice to see. Nicole and the other I Gorman staff have definitely made us customers for life, and we will be coming back for many years to come!

Absolutely fantastic! The customer service was incredible. We worked with Bonnie Gorman, who was kind, funny, and very, very patient as we tried on almost every ring in the shop. We ordered our rings less than two weeks before our ceremony--about as last minute as you can get. iGorman bent over backwards to get our rings in time. They also offered us loaner rings if ours didn't arrive on time, or to deliver our rings directly to our venue if they arrived at the last minute. Their selection is beautiful and unique. We visited over two dozen local jewelers and looked at a zillion internet sites trying to find a ring for my husband. iGorman had the only ring he liked.

We can't say enough about this place. I believe we've dealt one-on-one with every member of the family, and have yet to have anything but a lovely experience. We purchased all three of our rings from I. Gorman, and are totally in love with the designs and quality. The entire store is a work of art, and the family clearly cares deeply about what they do in this life. They are exceptional people with incredible work ethics and a willingness to serve unlike anything else I've seen. Parking is always super easy (park across the street and tell them where you're headed) and give yourself some time to browse the store. Totally gorgeous pieces! Our rings are Neissing, but Todd Reed's stuff is also beautiful. Be sure to not miss Gorman's shows! Thank you Adam, Zoo, Ivan and the rest of the "family" for your wonderful service. I wanted something different and wasn't finding it at the big chain jewelry stores. A friend recommended I Gorman and I'm so glad they did! The woman helping us actually listened to me when I said I wanted a plain wedding band. She was the first jeweler we'd seen that didn't try to convince me to get a band full of diamonds. After we purchased, they gave use a small bottle of champagne to celebrate later. They also told us to come back right before the wedding to have our rings clean for free (including my husband's ring which we had already purchased from somewhere else).

I passed on the hint for my fiance to check out iGorman's after seeing an add on a bus about their colored jewelry. My fiance and I had discussed a unique ring, so I figured "why not." He went there and said he knew it as soon as he saw it. He already had a proposal set up but didn't know my ring size (it had to be made to fit), so iGorman arranged with him to buy the ring as a "filler" and then bring it back with me and exchange it for the right fit. The particular designer was in Germany and actually allowed us to buy our own diamond...iGorman's than shipped the diamond and size information to Germany and I got my perfect ring!

Months later (after searching in other stores for my husband's ring), we decided to come back to iGorman...just to look ;p. The customer service was just as wonderful and they offered mimosas while we looked around. My fiance wanted a diamond in his ring and at first picked out a unisex ring with a raised diamond. I think the sales person saw the look in my eyes and she teamed up with me to convince him it was too flashy :) It was a great experience, with no pressure to buy. We actually did find a great ring for him and while they got it ready they offered to clean my ring as well. The owner then came to talk with us and thanked us for being repeat customers. That sort of customer service can't be beat.

Ivan is amazing to work with! My husband designed my engagement ring and it turned out beautiful. I was able to pick a wedding band that went perfectly with the band. Both had to be made in Germany, but the shipping was so quick. My huaband picked out his wedding band also at Ivan's. There are so many unique bands and rings to choose from. If you do not want a cookie cutter band like everyone else's- visit Ivan! He is so friendly and so helpful. He takes the time to really meet and understand what you like. You can really tell he is passionate about his work.

I initially went to iGorman because they carried a particular jewelry designer's engagement rings I was looking for. The assistance and service I received (thanks, pat!) was so superb that when it came time to buy our wedding rings, we did not bother looking anywhere else. The style we prefer is classic with a modern twist, and iGorman carries a great selection of this type of jewelry. If you're looking for a ring that few others have and you prefer a store that has a family feel, then iGorman is the place for you.

We used I. Gorman for my engagement ring and our wedding bands and are so pleased with their amazing service and the quality of their products that in them we've found our jeweler for life. They were flexible, kind, incredibly helpful, and fantastic people. We worked with Venita and just love her, but really everyone that we talked to in the store was super nice and helpful (and they remember us every time, which is a really nice touch). I'll admit that they may not have the cheapest prices in town, however the level of customer service, the quality of products, not to mention the guarantee they put on their products MORE than makes up for that. I can't recommend I. Gorman enough. They helped my fiance with my engagement ring and we went back to them for our wedding bands. They never make you feel rushed into any decisions and they offer their professional advice without pushing the more expensive options. They are a family run business and you can tell by how welcoming and accommodating they are. In my opinion, save yourself some time and money and go to I. Gorman, where they have amazing jewerly that is reasonably priced.

I bought my bride's engagement ring here, and we bought our wedding bands here. After my experience here, I won't buy nice jewelry from anywhere else besides IGorman Jewelers. They are are family-owned business with a REAL commitment to customer service. A lot of businesses pay lip service to customer service, but IGorman actually strives to provide it at a high level.

So that readers do not dismiss my high praise as without substance, I want to note that I have such a high opinion of this company even after the first engagement ring I bought was lost/stolen during it's delivery by FedEx, thereby irretrievably altering my proposal plans. I was nearly in tears. IGorman's staff expressed genuine empathy with the situation, and personally worked with me in recreating the ring by contacting the New York designer personally to arrange a priority crafting (normally 6 weeks) within a week. The owner refunded 5% of the value of my original sales receipt, and I soon ended up with a beautiful ring that my bride joyfully accepted. After thanking the owner for doing "more than he had to do" to remedy a situation caused by a FedEx employee that was either careless or criminal, he said something that I'll never forget:

"No. It was exactly what I had to do. People are too conditioned to accept crap when it comes to customer service. And that''s not acceptable to me."

I get a bit emotional remembering it even now.

IGorman's collections are stunning, the staff is unfailingly helpful, and in my wife and me, they've got exclusive customers for life.

If I could give them an even higher rating on service I would. They really are amazing. This is definitely an independent store that values their customers. Have you ever gone to a store that says hello by name every time you go in? Well they do here. We found this place by reading the Washington Post "Going out gurus" chat and went there on our last stop of ring shopping. My husband really like their customer service and although we found a similar ring at another store he went back to I.Gorman because he really liked Jacqueline, the woman that helped us when we went looking. Feeling comfortable with the store you buy your ring at is so important. They have an amazing selection of both men's and womens rings. Everything from traditional so some very funky and really unique styles. I highly recommend them!

The folks at iGorman were extremely helpful and friendly. They completed research for me about specific wedding bands and worked really hard to help me find something I loved and that was still within my budget. I was really happy with the service and I absolutely LOVE my ring. It's not only gorgeous but it's also unique.

Several friends have used iGorman for their jewelry needs and everything we heard was very good. We spent several weekends in the store working with Vennida to find the perfect wedding bands. We knew that we wanted a simple band, but found it oddly difficult to find a nice simple band that we both liked. Being such a simple band, proportion, scale and size really had a great impact on what we liked. The simple bands at Tiffany's and other jewelers were nice, but lacked the special something that we were both looking for in our wedding band. At iGorman we felt comfortable spending the afternoon looking at the many options they had to offer. We finally decided on a custom ring and they were very helpful in working with the artisan in getting everything done right. They worked with us to get the sizing, width choice and other facets of the design nailed down. When we tried on the wax ring proofs, we knew that those were the perfect rings for us. The time and care they took with us in getting all the design details ironed out showed through in the final rings we were delivered. It was a pleasure to work with them and the continuing care they provide is another reason we chose to go with them. (they offer free polishing and sizing for life) Since the wedding, we've both gone back for various gifts for each other and have continued to receive thoughtful, personalized service every time.

My husband bought my engagement ring at I Gorman and loved the experience so we chose them for our wedding bands. We had fun picking out our matching wedding bands. This took quite a bit of patience and understanding on their part because we have totally different tastes. But, they are careful listeners and have a wide selection, so we are both very pleased with our rings. We enthusiastically recommend I Gorman.

We love iGorman! Firstly, the staff is so kind and responsive. They truly care that you're getting exactly what you want. Our first experience with iGorman was to get my engagement ring resized. The setting in our family ring was tricky to substantially resize, but they were able to take care of it no problem! We then had a custom wedding band made to match my engagement ring, and the staff at iGorman took so much time ensuring that the final product was exactly what we were hoping for. Thanks SO much!

iGorman had been a pleasure to work with! My fiance had purchased my engagement ring there, and it was exactly what I had wanted! Unfortunately, it was too big, so I had to go back to the store several times to get it refitted (my fingers like to swell and shrink a lot, I guess). Venita, who sold the ring to my now husband, was so informative and so welcoming! She offered us drinks, alcoholic and non, as well as great tips! She also was very assertive in asking questions to our ring vendors when we wanted special orders. The whole experience was such a pleasure - I felt like I was in great hands for something so important and longterm.

If we hadn't gotten our wedding bands as a gift from his family, we would have definitely gotten them at iGorman!

We worked with Jacqueline Baker, but the whole staff and the entire Gorman family go above and beyond to make sure that you feel welcome and that you're getting the jewelry you want - to the point where they recognize you out and about town, and say hi! Jacqueline found the perfect stone for us, and worked off a poorly printed design to create the perfect ring. I've bought pieces for Erin there before, and definitely will again.

My finace bought my engagement ring at IGorman and we bought my band there together. We also bought jewelry to wear at our wedding there. We really like IGorman. Everyone that works there is helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They also want you to be completely happy and will do anything to make your jewelry perfect.

My engagement setting lost a diamond, they took care of it no problem and promised that they would for the life of the ring. No need to show a receipt that you bought the ring there, they just know you and remember you.

For my jewelry for the wedding I picked out something similar in the store and they had the designer in Greece create exactly what I wanted. When the first piece came back not exactly what I wanted, they sent it back and got me the perfect piece. They go the extra mile to make sure you are more than satisfied.

They have a promotion on wedding bands and engagement rings once or twice a year where they bring in reps from all the designers and give you a discount. They also have more stock. Highly recommend shopping the ring event and highly recommend I Gorman!

I had a few hiccups with my engagement ring when I took it in to be cleaned a week before my wedding. A small chip fell out when they cleaned it but they found it and promised to fix it, rush order. When they mailed it back after sending it to a local goldsmith and not the designer (who lives in Maine, so turnaround time was a concern), the local goldsmith did a crap job. I mean, I was pretty shocked it was sent to me in that state. I called in tears (this is now 4 days before my wedding) and they promised to fix it... and they sent flowers. After the wedding I sent the ring back and Adam called me directly to apologize for the mistake and told me he will personally examine my ring when it returns from the jeweler. No rush this time! I haven't received it yet but I trust Adam and the team at I Gorman will do the right thing. My review docks one star from Quality of Service only because it seems no one looked at my ring when the local goldsmith fixed it - they should have a better quality assurance process than that. It may have been the rush with my wedding days away, but still, I would have preferred them calling me and explaining that the chip that was fixed was not set correctly but they wanted me to have my ring for the wedding. It would have saved the shock and tears when I opened the box and found it in an unacceptable condition (ok, people, the wedding drama /emotional whirlwind is powerful!) But overall, I would not hesitate to shop there again, because they are ok with gay couples and have a fantastic collection, and they are just so nice.

Quality Service-Unique Pieces

Adam was simply the best for us! The engagement ring and wedding bands all came from I.Gorman and we couldn’t be happier! I do think they are slightly on the more expensive side—but you get unique pieces from small vendors/artisans from all over the US and world. Pieces and settings you will not find anywhere else. From picking out the main diamond, to choosing wedding bands, and then re-choosing wedding bands, Adam was a true professional, understanding what we wanted, suggesting options throughout the whole store, offering customization options for all rings, and even being so accommodating when we felt we made a poor choice, and needed to get new rings! We love our rings, love I.Gorman, and would recommend them to anyone!

AMAZING- service, staff, knowledge base, creativity, etc. We made our own rings; from sketch, to wax, to platinum. Throughout the process they provided us suggestions in an unbearing way in order for our idea to come to fruition. We had also looked at the tiny jewel box, but upon finding out that we were not including jewels in our rings, the service level dropped quickly.

Advice:
1. If making your own ring, plan 4 - 6 months, and include your spouse in the process.
2. Pre-paying. the price of metal is still rising some jewelers enable you to lock in at current market price.
3. Make the presentation of the ring special or the fitting. We asked, and they did it for us, but imagine they would do it for any customer.

Even though my now-husband ended up purchasing my engagement ring elsewhere, we had such a wonderful experience looking at stones and settings with Bonnie at I. Gorman that I insisted we go back for our wedding rings. The service was outstanding again and we picked our rings in 30 minutes. The store is sleek and open and beautiful place to shop. I must have spent enough time oohing and aaaahing over the other jewelry in the store to clue my husband in to the fact that this was a good place to make other purchases, as he purchased a wedding gift for me here as well! Lucky me. I. Gorman is on the pricey side but the customer service and modern but classy selection make it worth the splurge.

I. Gorman is a professional and elegant shop to get your engagement and wedding rings. You are greeted by a glass of champagne and excellent customer service. They also do resizing and offer to shine and buff your ring while you wait so that its nice and shiny before your big day.

Not all of my wedding vendors were great... But I Gorman was one of the great ones! My husband has even went backmtwice to get me pearls and a necklace and bracelet.
