Our Short Notice, Wednesday Afternoon Wedding...

We had planned on a "courthouse" wedding, but that was more difficult than we had imagined. With the Wednesday date in mind, we spoke to Mary on the Monday before. She said weekday weddings weren't that common so yes, she was available. She officiated our wedding with our vows, adding her own wonderful blessing, (she did ask us first.) It was a lovely little ceremony in our living room. We were very happy with her service.

Mary provides us with a nice ceremony

Mary met us at a park and performed our ceremony. We didn’t write vows so she came prepared with a folder and pages she read them from. The folder includes your information and vows, her information and other details for name changes etc. which she gives you after the ceremony along with the signed certification (we forgot ours so I met Mary a few days later). We took a few pics and went on our “Married” way. All went well; if anything I sort of felt just a little bit “rushed” or maybe that’s just me feeling that way ... It was a quick ceremony all together. Mary had to wear a MASK so it wasn’t as “pleasant” as it could have been for her doing most of the talking.

Best officiant ever!

OMG! Mary is wonderful! She was so understanding and patient with all the hiccups we faced. What a fun experience to be among her family and friends to laugh about our hiccups. She is the BEST! Hands down! If I could do it again, it would be with her! What a wonderful wonderful experience! Thank you Mary, so much!

Nothing but wonderful!

I had contacted Mary just weeks before I wanted to do my wedding ceremony and she responded very fast! She was helpful providing me with information and tips, was very flexible with coming and doing our marriage on Memorial Day and was a delight to work with. I highly recommend her, she's lovely, funny and overall great!!!

Wonderful experience!

Exactly what we envisioned

Mary was an absolute joy! She accommodated our date with only a few days notice. Spent time with us to find out exactly how we envisioned our wedding and provided exactly what we asked for. She is a pleasure to be around and took time to allow for pictures, toasts and conversations without making anyone feel rushed.

Just Magical!

Mary was very accommodating. My wife and I planned a last minute wedding in Abq for the sake of both our families being in the same city at the same time. We didn’t know what we really had in mind as far as planning things out. Mary was understanding and extremely friendly throughout the process. My wife and I both love what she chose to say as well as both our families. Thank you again Mary and we truly hope you enjoyed the balloon glow. You were definitely a big factor in our enjoyment of both our the ceremony and our evening.

Mary was just the right person to officiate our wedding. We hadn't met in person before the wedding, but you would never know. The ceremony was perfect - just what we were hoping for. We can highly recommend Mary, and appreciate the beautiful and meaningful ceremony she created for us.

I can't say enough about Mary. After reading her glowing reviews I decided to email her. She promptly called me and we discussed the type of ceremony my partner and I were hoping to have. Mary was very open as to date, time and place. We wanted something "low-key" and she assured me she was able to customize the service to fit each couples' individual needs. She came to our home and preformed the most beautiful service. Based on our initial conversation, she chose a simple, yet deeply moving exchange for our vows. I will forever hold those loving words in my heart. She was open, friendly and professional, easing our wedding "jitters" before she began. I am so grateful to have had her officiate on our special day, and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her. I promise, you will not be disappointed with this lovely, charming, ordained minister.

Mary is wonderful. She helped me and my wife with a vow renewal, and made up for all of our lack of planning--not only coming up with a terrific set of vows, but also suggestions on (as we are from out-of-town) a place to stay, have dinner, and conduct the ceremony. She's warm, fun, and a full of love for her hometown. We're planning to come back now for the hot air balloon festival! Thanks, Mary!

We are so thankful to have found Mary in our (very) last minute search to find an Officiant to perform our ceremony. She traveled to the cold mountains with her husband and did an outstanding job with simple, but meaningful vows for our elopement. Mary went above and beyond for my nieces wedding. She responded to my request quickly and efficiently. We had budget restraints and the cost was definitely reasonable. She came to Chimayo, New Mexico and preformed the wedding on a very hot day without complaint. She also brought her husband who asked if it was ok to take pictures for some marketing for them and would give to us. With a last minute wedding ... this was BEYOND fabulous of them. Thank you to you and your friend Mary!!! Loved Talking to you AND working with you!!! You were VERY accommodating. Arriving way before any of our party and not rushing to leave.

We highly recommend Mary! She is such a wonderful and kind hearted person. She has a great personality and sense of humor. We had a great time working with her. She was quick to respond to any of our questions. We weren't really sure what we wanted to do for our ceremony, but we knew we wanted to include our boys. She gave us lots of ideas and was willing to do anything we wanted. We decided on a rose ceremony, which was absolutely perfect! She did a beautiful job for the ceremony! You won't be disappointed.

Mary was amazing! My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better officiant to marry us! It was awesome how she understood everything we wanted and made it the most wonderful day of our lives! While Mary married us, her husband took beautiful pictures of our ceremony. It was an emotional and beautiful ceremony, we didn't think we could find someone who would be able to marry us on short notice and who would understand our costume wedding. We did a Nightmare Before Christmas theme and even though she didn't have a full blown costume, Mary's outfit fit right in with our theme. If you are getting married, Mary is the right person for the job, she is absolutely amazing. Very flexible and knows how to make sure you will have a beautiful ceremony. Thank you Mary for our wedding ceremony!

We found Mary Marrs by chance. This wonderful woman, with a name straight out of a fairy tale, was our real life Fairy Godmother. She tended to all of our wishes: budget friendly (significantly cheaper than every other officiant we considered), flexible (patient with our time and venue changes), creative (hand-crafted a unique ceremony that met our every want and need), convenient (provided everything we needed from pens to a photographer, Frank), and extremely warm and welcoming (not only offered her charming personality, but also her beautiful yard when we were having troubles selecting a location). We do not have one negative or constructive thing to report. It was perfect, she was perfect. Thank you, Mary, for making our dreams come true!

Met the right balance between humor and gravitas needed for our vow renewal ceremony. She kept in touch, even when we were traveling and had difficulty with communication. Very timely responses to our inquiries. Willing to accommodate several re-writes of our ceremony, one the night before. Warm and down to earth.
