I would highly recommend the Hyland Hills Ski Area as a wedding venue for anyone who is interested. The space is beautiful, and can accommodate events of many different sizes. It is also super affordable to rent, even for a larger group! We initially met with Suzanne, who was extremely helpful in helping us make our decision. She was transparent about the venue, and did not make us feel pressured to make a decision. Once we decided to book the venue for our wedding, we worked with Gabby as our day of coordinator. Gabby did an amazing job, and I would highly recommend paying extra for a DOC through the venue since they know the space so well. Gabby helped us with every question we had, and was a hero on the day of the wedding, making sure that everything ran smoothly. All other staff members were wonderful as well, and we got many compliments on the venue. Thank you Hyland Hills!Hyland Hills Chalet's reply:

We had such a great time getting married at Hyland Hills! The space is beautiful—the big windows made a great backdrop for the ceremony and let in a lot of natural light. We had a 100-person ceremony/reception and felt the size worked well for the space. There was lots of room to breathe, but the room didn’t feel empty or barren. Our room flip from ceremony to reception was also quick and seamless.
I highly recommend spending extra to work with a Hyland event coordinator. We worked with Gabby, who was fantastic! We had three check-ins before the big day where she helped us figure out important details and answered our questions. She was also available to answer questions outside the check-ins. Gabby made the day-of SO much easier by coordinating vendors and the room flip, helping us stay on schedule, and being the point of contact for all sorts of random questions so that that job didn’t fall to us. She is super organized and an all-around lovely, friendly person. Our wedding was better than we even imagined; we had an absolute blast! That would not have been possible without Gabby. -

What a perfect place
What a great team to work with! We had 200 guest and the space was amazing. The decor was minimal because we had the beautiful windows!!! 10/10 would recommend!Hyland Hills Chalet's reply:

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Hyland Hills on 9/10/22 and it was truly the best venue we could have asked for! We toured numerous other venues (all at a much higher price) before finding everything we wanted and more (at the most reasonable rate!) at Hyland Hills. We were able to see the space in person several times, had great communication with the staff, everything was timely, and we also were given several helpful planning guides/resources that made planning our reception very easy. Both during and quite some time after our wedding, we received SO many compliments about the venue - everyone loved how open and spacious it was, the wonderful outdoor space - overall truly such a beautiful spot to have a wedding reception. I have highly recommended it to other people and will continue to do so! -

Hyland Hills was one of the first places we thought of since we had been to a wedding there and loved it. The space is beautiful, including the outdoor space and especially the huge floor to ceiling windows, plenty of parking, and Suzanne and her staff are incredible to work with. They have a huge list of caterers to choose from that will fit within all budgets, more so than any other venue we visited, and they don’t nickel and dime you for each little thing—all costs were straightforward and extremely affordable. We loved working with Hyland Hills and would choose them again every time! -

Hyland Hills was the best location. It is absolutely beautiful in the summer and the people are so wonderful to work with. They accommodated us so well and went out of their way to show us that our event was important to them despite the fact that they have plenty of other events as well. Suzanne made all of our dreams come true for our perfect set up and was quick to find solutions to any issues that came up. She was an absolute doll!! I recommend Hyland Hills 11/10 -
Tia Sent on 09/20/2018We got married at Hyland Hills Ski Chalet on 9/1/18 and we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing experience. The stunning views of the ski hill and city skyline are truly breathtaking and were more than memorable to us and our guests. This venue is relaxing, affordable, beautiful (both indoors & outdoors) and easy to work with. Suzanne and the Hyland Hills staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything we dreamed of on our wedding day was turned into a reality.

Kayla Sent on 09/15/2018We had our ceremony outside on the lawn and reception inside at Hyland Hills! We received so many compliments on the venue, with the gorgeous hill, beautiful windows, and just the amount of space the venue has. There is a patio for guests with lights that are strung and a fire pit. The bathrooms are a fantastic size. There’s incredibly easy parking- all things that were important to us when selecting a venue.
Working with Suzanne was fantastic! I was a very DIY bride, and the space and Suzanne really allowed for my vision to come to life.

We had our wedding reception here and it was amazing! It is a beautiful venue and in a convenient location. There was ample free parking, bathrooms, and overall space for all of our guests.
The large windows and beautiful scenery allows for minimal decorations needed which is a huge plus. They provide a dance floor.
Hyland is a HUGE venue and with our guest count of 95, we were afraid that the space would be too big, but it worked out perfectly and it felt like the perfect size!
Prices are comparable to other venues in the area. You have to choose from a list of caterers, but the list was actually a good place to start and had some great options.
We would definitely recommend Hyland for your wedding reception! -

Hyland Hills was an absolutely gorgeous venue and from the moment we walked in the door, we were in love! Working with Suzanne was so great and she answered all of my questions quickly and professionally. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and our pictures showed that off so well! Our guests especially loved the patio outdoors and the lawn games. We did an indoor ceremony so we didn't have to rent chairs and were very happy with that choice.
The only thing I would say is that while the price looks very affordable, be careful on the alcohol prices. They are very high and then they add a 20% service fee on top of it. Not a deal breaker for us, but something I feel is important to point out.
Overall, it was the perfect space for our big day and fit our needs so well! -
