Our Dream Wedding at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor

I cannot thank the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor enough for everything they did to help make our wedding the most magical experience of our lives. I could not have picked a venue that better reflected me and my husband. We live 15 minutes away from the Hyatt by the water and it perfectly reflects the mix of coastal and city vibes that we love so much. Leading up to the wedding we would go to the Hyatt's restaurant regularly so we could become familiarized with the venue and just enjoy the stunning scenery. We will continue to always do that and will be reminded of our incredible wedding day there, and at this point the Hyatt feels like a 2nd home to us. The staff members were so professional and helpful the weekend of the wedding and truly throughout the whole year planning process, especially Joan and Kim who were our main contacts. They were extremely responsive and any roadblock we may have run into they addressed immediately and were so accommodating. On the big day itself we had so many people come up to us saying it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever been to, with the most spectacular views. The sunset was unreal, and I highly recommend getting the raw bar which just added to the ambiance during cocktail hour as well! We had a 3 event weekend with a welcome hour the night before, the wedding itself, and then the farewell brunch and it all went off without a hitch. People could not get over the location, views, and overall aesthetic and loved the hotel rooms as well. For our rehearsal dinner in Seaport we were able to go right in the backyard of the hotel and take the Boston Water taxi to and from the dinner which was a major benefit and highlight of the weekend! Then when we got back to the hotel, the welcome hour was all set up and ready for us to have Hors d'oeuvres and a full bar for the remainder of our guests who arrived at the hotel the night before the wedding! We hired a guitarist/vocalist to perform at the welcome hour and the venue space on the 2nd floor veranda was perfect for the event and a huge hit! Another big highlight outside of the wedding itself was getting ready day-of in the Junior Suite. My bridesmaids and the Moms were so comfortable and had a blast getting ready throughout the day in a gorgeous space overlooking the city. We had breakfast and lunch brought into the suite for all the girls and it was delicious. Even the guys had their own private space to get ready as well in a big conference room which was perfect for them. Overall the getting ready experience, the events surrounding the wedding, and the wedding itself was everything we could have dreamed of and I'm so grateful to the Hyatt. We also got so many Hyatt points by having our wedding there that our entire Hawaii honeymoon stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai ended up being covered by those points! It was an incredible benefit and really a cherry on top of our dream coastal/city wedding. We would recommend to anyone to have their wedding at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor :)

Hidden Gem - Amazing Wedding Venue

The Hyatt exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a water front property in Boston that would be accessible to our friends and family who were traveling in for the wedding weekend. The Hyatt was perfect - the hotel is modern, the view is magnificent, the proximity/shuttle to the airport is perfect for guests, the water taxi is amazing for folks to explore.

We worked with Stephanie and Ashlynn for planning plus Emily day-of and they were all amazing, super detail oriented, professional and helpful. I did not hire a separate wedding planner because I felt supported and confident with their amazing staff. Thank you to all the planners, servers and chef for the incredible service.

Our guest could not get over the incredible views and amazing food. Our ceremony and cocktail hour was on the lawn and offered an incredible backdrop for photos. Our reception was in the tent which was a perfect combo of indoor/outdoor for our guests. We upgraded to the Pres. Suite for the girl's getting ready room and WOW that was a beautiful space to spend the weekend.

If we had to do it all over again, I would 10000% return to the Hyatt. Thank you everyone for the incredible weekend! We will be Hyatt loyalists for a long time and look forward to our Honeymoon in Hawaii which is all on Hyatt points from our wedding.

Dream come true!

We had the best wedding experience with Stephanie as our planner! The staff the food the atmosphere all were amazing. We received so many compliments from our guests and can’t wait to come back on our anniversary.

This venue really has it all! It has the best views of Boston, a gorgeous outdoor tent that makes you feel like you’re not outdoors at all, a lovely indoor ballroom, an outstanding staff, and just top notch service every step of the way!

My husband and I were originally planned to be married in June 2020. We had 2 postponements to our final wedding date of October 8, 2020. The Hyatt, and more specifically Joan, showed support, patience, and flexibility in every interaction we had. I can only imagine the complexity of shuffling so many weddings so feeling like we were the only one and being met with that type of human touch was so appreciated.

When it came closer to our big day we had the absolute pleasure of working with Ashlynn as our wedding coordinator. Ashlynn made our planning simple and fun and made sure everything important to us was accounted for - and more importantly that the things we hadn’t thought of were accounted for! On the day of she kept us all under control and on schedule which is no easy tasks for a bridal party of 18. She is just amazing!

One last thing to point out is the honeymoon points benefit. The benefit, along with a World of Hyatt credit card can go a long long way. My husband and I used ours to spend some time at Ventana in Big Sur. It was a showstopper and our stay and food were 100% covered by the points we earned. Doesn’t get better than that!

Amazing Waterfront Venue!

We had our ceremony on the front lawn and our reception in the beautiful tent! Everything was absolutely gorgeous- you can’t beat the waterfront views and city scapes that this venue offers! We had to reschedule our date three times due to COVID, but the hyatt was extremely flexible with each date change. They also allowed us to customize things our way- like swapping out certain liquors in favor of others, adding in our favorite wine, bringing in a rosé, and making our signature cocktails. We even brought our dog to stay at the hotel and he was in the ceremony as well! Our coordinator, Stephanie, was absolutely amazing!!! She kept me so organized, answered all my questions, gave ideas, and was so flexible! She truly made our day!! She even had a sweet card, champagne, and wedding cake for us in our room at the end of the night! Thank you Stephanie and thank you Hyatt!

Amazing wedding venue!

We could not be happier with our wedding experience at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor. Ashlynn was our wedding coordinator and she was incredibly supportive and attentive throughout the wedding planning process as well as on our actual wedding day. We still receive compliments on the quality of the food and how beautiful our wedding was. We had our ceremony on the Harborside Lawn and our reception in the Grand Ballroom. Our pictures and videos came out amazing with the harbor as our backdrop.

Best Boston Venue!!!

This is the best venue in all of Boston. Amazing views of the harbor and city skyline. The staff are all so nice and responsive. We have gotten so many compliments on the gorgeous views, venue, delicious food, and fantastic service. We had the best experience and the Hyatt could not have been easier to work with thru Covid (3 wedding dates) and all the uncertainty. Stephanie was the best wedding coordinator- so friendly, organized, responsive, and helpful. The weekend was so smooth and perfect we didn’t worry about a single thing because of her!! I highly highly recommend!!!

Best day of my life!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the phenomenal service and wedding coordinators. I got married at the Hyatt on July 3rd. This venue was a referral from a friend who got married here a few years back. He urged us to just go look at it even though we were pretty set on another venue. From the outside (front) of the hotel, it doesn’t look like anything special, but as soon as you walk in, you have the best, most breath taking view of the Boston skyline. Pictures seriously do not do it justice so I also urge you to go in and see it for yourself!!
We worked with Ashlynn as our Hyatt coordinator who is a saint and a dream to work with. She was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. My wedding day turned about to be extremely rainy. Ashlynn took me through the hotel to scope out inside photo locations since we were originally planning to do everything outside. I think she could tell how bummed out I was about the rain. Once I went back to the getting ready room, she came in a few minutes later with 4 different wedding albums that showed examples of other couples who had a rainy wedding day and all the beautiful pictures they still got. It immediately changed my mood and I was so grateful that she did that. Ashlynn and Steph (the other awesome coordinator) continued to check in with us all day, made sure everyone was on time and stayed in the loop. When the weather cleared to a light drizzle for just a few minutes, we ran outside to get pictures. Ashlynn was right there with us, holding the umbrella for us and getting rained on just so we could get some outdoor shots. Again, the service was incredible and Ashlynn was an absolute dream to work with.
During the reception, the reception staff were also incredible. I didn’t go to the bar once-as soon as my drink was almost empty, a reception staff member was handing me a new one. In addition, many people came up to me during and after the wedding and raved about how good the food was! During the reception, it really started down pouring but we were lucky enough to still have fireworks on the harbor that night (Boston Harborfest is usually held on the Saturday before the 4th). Again Ashlynn and Steph were running outside with us and our photographer, both of them getting drenched in rain and holding the umbrellas for us, just so we could get some epic fireworks shots. I cannot say enough good things about them!!
We loved the Hyatt because we could do everything onsite and stay there-ceremony, reception, and they even give you an after party room until 1:30 am.
The best part might be the honeymoon perk. When you get married at a Hyatt, they give you a bunch of Hyatt points to use towards your honeymoon. The real trick is to open up a Hyatt credit card and put all your wedding payments on that card because spending at a Hyatt gives you triple points or something like that. I also then used it was my main credit card after I opened it to maximize points. We had enough points for a 2 week stay at the Hyatt Andaz in Maui!! I don’t know of another venue where you can also get a free honeymoon if you work the points right! We are already planning our 1 year anniversary at their locations at the amalfi coast and again, will not have to pay for that hotel.
Again, I cannot recommend this venue enough. We looked at so many venues and I am beyond happy we went with the Hyatt!

This place has it all!

Wow! Unsure of where to start!
Got married last summer and it was truly perfect. I was toying back and forth with wanting a “beach” type wedding, but I’ve always loved the energy and excitement of the city. I thought getting married at the beach can be tricky with weather and when the sun goes down, it doesn’t really matter. But, the city sometimes has a cold feel to it. (I guess I wanted nature and glam!) Tough combo. BUT this venue is a hidden gem. It is on the water with the most spectacular view of the skyline and pretty sailboats. You still get that ocean breeze, pics by the water, not to mention an almost backyard feel right on the water for cocktail hour. You could even set up cornhole boards or bring in couches if you wanted to exaggerate that theme. And when nightfall hits, the lights of the city are gorgeous and it feels like the buildings are almost looking down at you. Basically, this place rocks rain or shine, trust me. PLEASE just take a visit and get some dinner sometime outside!

We got married outside (again, holy skyline!) and had the reception under the “tent”. This is not a tent though! It’s a really beautiful and recently renovated structure, that easily could be used in case of rain. It held my 200 guests comfortably. I also loved the front indoor room, which was a back-up if it rained for the ceremony. Windows are floor to ceiling, so you could still see that skyline. This room is also where we held our after party. Food and bar options until 1:30! This was also a must for us. Nothing worse than getting kicked out of a lobby or having guests scatter after a wedding. It’s steps away for guests! Before the wedding, guests can also hang out in the huge restaurant. On my way to take pictures with my bridesmaids, I saw them all having a blast!

Justine and Jane were so accommodating, kind, refreshing, enthusiastic, and professional. My husband and I actually felt sad we wouldn’t be seeing them anymore! We worked with Justine through the majority of the planning, and then with Jane who became our coordinator. We actually chose to go into meetings in person, when emailing or phone calls was an option, just to sit in the amazing restaurant and work with her. It was so just so easy working with Justine and I felt so confident about every detail going to plan. The day of Jane was on point! My father in law made it point to mention how on top of things she seemed, but again so accommodating. I felt zero stress about this venue and these people taking CARE OF US, including the concierge, valet, and wait staff!

I can’t emphasize enough how much my guests loved this venue. Many mentioned they couldn’t believe they had never been there. They also got to take some dynamite pictures with friends and family. Further, the actual space is somewhat localized. I didn’t have to worry about guests having or wanting to travel far from the dance floor. Everything they needed was right there (dance floor, outdoor bars, and the view)

Additional perks:
-the food tasting was a blast! Food was amazing as well! With a blended family, I was also able to bring additional guests

-we took the ferry the night before from the hotel to Chart House (hotel helped charter a private ferry for us) just WOW

-we were able to park for free at the venue and shuttle over to the airport for our honeymoon. Also, when you become a Hyatt member (and depending on how much you spend on the wedding) you get a boatload of points. We ended up staying in Amsterdam at a Hyatt for four nights FOR FREE.

-pricing is fair! I looked at some other venues in the north shore that were about the same and with all of the perks of this hotel, it was a NO-BRAINER.

The best day ever!

The whole day was a dream! We had our wedding reception here in October after my sister had done the same in 2011. If I thought they were fabulous then, they exceeded our expectations this time around. From Justine (who answered our very first call), to Jane, to every single staff member in between, our experience was incredible. Jane was our point person throughout and she was attentive, accommodating, and encouraging. We wanted to make sure we also recognized other hotel staff including Mary Lou, Zeckeriah, Craig, and Vinny...who all made the day of our wedding and the following day so comfortable and fun for us as we hung out in anticipation of leaving for our honeymoon the Monday after. We also want to shine light on the chefs who put up with my traditional Italian dad and rearranging the entire menu to suit our needs. Our guests are still raving (it's been a month) about the food, ambience, and warm nature of the staff. And we haven't even mentioned the view yet!!! It will be a day we never forget!! Thanks to ALL of you!

October 12, 2019 Wedding-Loved Every Minute

My husband and I got married at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor this past October. We hosted our ceremony, reception, and brunch at this location. I will honestly say it was the most perfect venue for our wedding, from the guest accommodations and event venues to the staff, food and THE VIEW!!! Working with Jane, our wedding coordinator put me at ease the day of the wedding as she truly triple checks everything and provided consistent communication.

We hosted our ceremony in the sky ball room instead of outside due to the weather being cold and rainy. It was better than expected. The windows provide perfect lighting in the room and the guests were happy they weren't cold. Guests consistently told us that the cocktail hour was great because their was plenty of hors d'oeuvres. The Pavillion tent was beautiful for our reception. The lighting over the dance floor was elegent and romantic. Our sweetheart table was perfectly decorated as well.

After our tasting we had a few months prior we knew the food would be top notch, our waiter even reminded me to eat when our entree was served which was very sweet. We also chose three of the preferred vendors from the Hyatt, Meritage entertainment (DJ), Montillio's (cake/pastries), and Wedding flowers by Annette. They all recieved 5 star reviews as well. Following our wedding we went to Greece for two weeks and took advantage of the park and fly service that was provided as well that included leaving our car at the Hyatt, shuttle service to our airline, and pick up when we returned. I woudl highly recommend this location and the team the wedding team!

Best Location

If you want the perfect hotel for your Boston wedding look no further, it has amazing views of downtown and makes for great photos not only at sunset but during the day and night with the city lights. So convenient being right by the airport, and everything you need is there!

New Years Eve 2018

There was no place better to host our New Years Eve wedding than the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor Hotel. The recent renovation was amazing and is much more in tune with the looks of modern day décor with a color scheme of grays, creams, and blues. But regardless of the new renovations, you absolutely cannot get a better view of the city than from this hotel! Your guest will truly be awed and you will also have some wedding photos to last a lifetime. The view is absolutely breathtaking. On top of the great views and renovations you will also get some great service. Stephanie Lento was amazing and met our every need; she was on top of EVERYTHING and I honestly had not a worry in the world the day of. Everyone from the doorman Kenny, to the bartender Mary Lou went above and beyond for us and our guests. It really was the best day and my family and I are so happy we went with the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor. I cannot tell you how many people have come up to my husband and I and said it was the best wedding they've ever been too. If you want an unforgettable night think about booking your wedding here, you wont be disappointed.

The perfect wedding

The experience with the Hyatt was incredible. A month after the wedding, our guests are still talking about how amazing the night was! We hosted our ceremony on site in the lawn and reception in the Grand Ballroom – which is absolutely beautiful, and was the perfect setting for our Boston wedding. Justine Gajewski & Stephanie Lento ensured no detail was forgotten, they also made the process so easy. Their wedding/event knowledge was beyond helpful in making recommendations. We also received countless compliments on the food & drinks. The level of service can’t be matched, not to mention the million dollar view..!!! I’d recommend the venue to any New England bride.

They handle food cake venue drinks I mean you get the whole package for a decent price no matter where you look a wedding is going to be a good amount of money but you definitely get as much as you can for your dollar here. Also very accommodating for guest with allergies Justine and Stephanie are superb. Steph stay awesome

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have Stephanie as our wedding planner and we can’t say enough great things about her. Her professionalism and experience were evident from start to finish. All the details, big or small, she covered them all! There really wasn’t much that we had to worry about. She helped us find our vendors and then made sure that they all came together for the day off. She really put us at ease. Everyone kept commenting throughout the process that it was crazy my husband and I weren’t that stressed at all like most couples planning a wedding. But we had nothing to stress about, we had Stephanie! If you book this breathtaking venue definitely request Stephanie!!

Words do not describe how amazing the Boston Hyatt Team is! My Mom and I first met Justine - she was so nice, very detailed and got back to us right away with a proposal and then a contract for the wedding. Justine took care of us from the start and was very professional! We loved working with her. Next, we met Stephanie - WOW this girl works so hard and is so fantastic! Stephanie was amazing from sending us updated rooming lists periodically, to assisting us with our vendors, to helping us decorate! She truly helped us on our wedding day as well! From timing, to checking up on us to even making sure we ate our dinner. Thank you to all who made our wedding magical and stressfree! The hotel itself was memorable - the views are one of a kind, it's right near the airport and has a complimentary shuttle for all guests, there is a water taxi into the city, and the food is delicious. My husband, myself, my family and my friends would highly recommend this hotel and it's team to anyone!

Everything from our day was absolutely perfect. From the first meeting to the night before the wedding our wedding coordinator (Stephanie) was there to help with any request. She was always one step ahead and was extremely well organized. The venue it’s self is breath taking. I hadn’t been there before and couldn’t believe the view. We had our wedding for about 200 guests in the newly renovated Grand Ball room. They did a wonderful job with the renovation. The food was amazing and as was the service. There truly isn’t one thing I would change about the day.

We had our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor this Memorial Day Weekend and it was, hands-down, the best day of our lives :) We worked with Justine during our initial planning phase and she was wonderful. She was incredibly responsive to any and all questions. We also worked with Stephanie for our wedding-day coordination and she was also terrific to work with. She was incredibly personable, organized, and helped us tailor our day exactly as we wanted it. On the day of our wedding, everything was perfectly coordinated. I did not have to lift a finger all day! The Hyatt staff took such great care of my husband and I and our families. Stephanie worked with all of our vendors to make sure everything ran on time. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and all our personalized details (ice cream bar with baseball helmet cups, memory table, in lieu of favor cards, etc) were set up exactly as we requested. All of our guests raved about their delicious hors d'oeuvres and meals. I was even able to have an after party with a karaoke machine in a separate ballroom until 2am, and the Hyatt helped us coordinate the delivery and pick up of the machine. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor for your wedding. The venue is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the food is delicious, and it is SO convenient for your out of town guests being right by the airport!!!

Amanda Soto and her staff go above and beyond to make sure your day is exactly how you envisioned it (or even better than you envisioned if, if you can believe that!) The entire planning process ran smoothly and was so easy that it allowed us the opportunity to focus on other aspects of wedding planning without stressing. I would choose they Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor a million times over if we were given the chance!

We are so happy we picked our wedding to be at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor! We had a beautiful ceremony outside, followed by the reception in the tent. It was stunning! The view of the city was amazing and we had the perfect sunset that night!

I loved my wedding and the Hyatt made my day, amazing! Amanda and her team did an amazing job capturing my bohemian vintage wedding theme and accommodated all of my needs. The attendees loved the location of the harborside pavilion tent and raved how good the food was. I am so happy I selected the Hyatt Regency Harborside as my wedding venue.

Amanda Soto and the team at Hyatt truly made our wedding experience with them effortless and amazing. Amanda was super attentive and really made such a stressful time manageable and stress free. I highly recommend the Hyatt for a wedding venue they were so accommodating to our large crowd and the upgraded presidential suite truly made us feel like a king and queen on our wedding day!

Our wedding experience was amazing. We got married at the Hyatt on June 2nd and couldn't have asked for a better day. There was a potential rain storm but Amanda (our coordinator) was all over it and made sure we got what we wanted. The weather ended up perfect and we had our ceremony outside, as planned. The view is breathtaking and our photos came our amazing.

We can't say enough wonderful things about our wedding at Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor! We worked with Courtney, who was the ultimate professional and helped us create the fun, joyful and memorable celebration we were hoping for. The Hyatt offers an incredible view of the Boston skyline (in our opinion, the best view of the city!) not only from the lawn but from the indoor ballrooms and many of the guest rooms and suites. In addition to a beautiful ceremony and reception space, the food was delicious, the staff was extremely helpful and it was a pleasure working with (the ever-patient, calm and organized) Courtney in advance of our wedding day. We are so happy we chose to get married at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor and are grateful to Courtney and the entire staff for such an incredible day (it was better than we could have even imagined).

Words can't describe how happy I am with having chosen the Hyatt Boston Harbor for my wedding! We were paired with a fantastic coordinator, Courtney Haskell, who was incredibly sweet, professional, and timely with responses. She was in control of every detail leading up to and during the big day! We chose the harborside pavilion for our ceremony (lawn) and tent for the reception. It was absolutely perfect! We got rave reviews from guests about the food (we did the clam bake which was awesome!) and of course the amazing views. The wedding packages make it so easy to determine cost up front, includes open bar, and a comped suite the night of the wedding. We were also easily able to customize the package to suit our desires, so never felt restricted in any way. I want to do it all over again, and I wouldn't change a thing. If you choose Hyatt Boston Harbor, you will NOT be disappointed.

I had my wedding here this past April and people are still talking about it! The Hyatt was extremely professional and I highly recommend Courtney as your wedding planner. The food was delicious and the views were amazing. Because of the size of my wedding I had it in the Grand Ballroom and it was beautiful. It was nice and spacious for people to move and dance around. The city skyline made a perfect backdrop for wedding photos. The whole weekend was great thanks to the Hyatt!

The best day of my life was spent at the Hyatt Boston Harbor. It was July 4, 2015 and after an amazing year of planning it became a reality at this amazing, magical place! We first met with Megan for a consultation. She was pleasant, positive and professional! Once we selected this as our wedding venue, we were given the gift of Ashlynn, our amazing coordinator turned friend. Ashlynn made us feel as though we were the only couple she was working with. The day of our rehearsal dinner it was pouring rain so rehearsing outside was a no-go, but what a beautiful inside option we knew we had if it rained for the wedding.
The day of the wedding our guests enjoyed lunch and cocktails on the patio, admiring the City of Boston across the Harbor. We heard rave reviews afterwards about everyone from the valet and front desk staff, to the bartenders and wait staff!
An hour before the ceremony, the rains came. Ashlynn came up to the bridal suite to see what we wanted to do and after a lot of back and forth, we decided to take the gamble and keep it outside. Ashlynn and her team didn't bat and eyelash. It was our day and whatever we wanted is what they were there to ensure happened.
Luckily the rain stopped and the sun broke through about 15 minutes before " go-time" and it turned into the most perfect summer evening. The ceremony went off without a hitch and the reception exceeded our dreams. The food was outstanding, the bartenders were so much fun. The tent was perfect because after the wedding formalities, guests could dance the night away under the tent or hang on the lawn and enjoy the beyond beautiful sunset and sparkling City skyline. Once the reception ended, guests were able to enjoy a nightcap sitting at the outdoor firepits to finish off the night!
I could go on and on about how perfect our wedding day was, but instead, you should make an appointment to see for yourself how amazing yours can be! This is your best choice for a Boston wedding.

We LOVED the Hyatt Boston Harbor for our wedding! It was easily the best decision we made for the wedding. Ashlynn and Courtney were amazing and were so patient, answering every question we had along the way, and making every ask happen. They took the stress out of everything. The whole staff at the Hyatt is incredible, from the guest services and valet staff, reception staff, Harborside Grill, event and catering teams, everyone was so friendly and professional and made all of our family and friends feel at home. The food was great, the service was great, and we cannot say enough great things about this venue.

We looked at other options in the City of Boston, but nothing could match the incredible view and the beautiful rooms at the Hyatt. We had our cocktail hour out on the patio and our reception in the Skyline ballroom. Our families could not get enough of the amazing city view.

Overall, cannot recommend this venue enough!

Overall, we'd give this venue 5 stars though we did have a few issues along the way (though that's bound to happen with weddings...).

1st - the location sounds tough - airport hotel? But it's a Hyatt...and you really need to visit the grounds because the hotel has the most beautiful view of the Boston skyline and the rooms are great. Plus, there is free airport shuttle service so if you have people traveling in, this is actually a huge perk.

2nd - the food - amazing. They did a phenomenal job and created a different vegetarian dish as we had one extremely strict vegetarian - and people raved the veg dish was the best ever. While I can't believe everyone thought it was the most amazing wedding ever, I actually do believe the claims that it was the best food ever. SO GOOD. We did the full bar and while I'm not sure we had our own personal waiter (I don't believe I ever saw him/her?), when I did finally make it to the bar to order a glass of wine, the bar was out of it - the bartender was lovely and told me she'd find another bottle because it was my day - and she delivered.

The Accommodations - just lovely. The bride/groom suite is spacious and beautiful and everyone was very happy with their rooms. There are fire pits outside where everyone gathered the night before and ultimately after the wedding.

We worked predominantly with Kendra and she was on top of everything. She was professional, responsive, helpful, and really thought of everything that we didn't. She was there on the actual day and was fantastic in ensuring everything went according to plan and on schedule. I cannot stress enough how important that is!!

There were a few things we were less than thrilled about - based upon our 1st visit we were under the impression of 1 price which was materially different in reality due to a "miscommunication" by an employee. Something similar happened with our rehearsal dinner which was a disaster there but we'd book our wedding here again!

For my review I am copying from my letter to Kendra, our fantastic wedding coordinator at the Hyatt:

We are still floating on cloud 9 after the incredible wedding weekend!!! We could not be any happier with the entire experience of the wedding, and the Hyatt venue. EVERY SINGLE PERSON that we dealt with at the Hyatt was so great!!! Friendly and warm, professional, helpful…. We were treated like royalty. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. The setting was beautiful, the food was fantastic, service exceeded expectations.

You were so great to work with. We were so impressed with your professionalism, attention to every detail, calmness, and fun approach to every aspect of the planning. We felt that we could approach you with any question and idea or request. And you listened and offered the best options to us and worked with us with great flexibility to make this our own wedding event. You inspire complete confidence in your ability as an event planner and in the venue. All of our family and the wedding party who interacted with you thought that you were great and fun and lovely.

You and the staff there have weddings down to a science AND an art. It did not feel pre-packaged or formulated. You made it easy to add all of our own personal touches. It is so hard to include all of the wonderful aspects of the wedding in an e-mail, but I do hope that you know, and I hope that you can share with others there, that we could not be happier and we will shout your praises from the rooftops!!!! I hope that one day we will get to attend a wedding at the Hyatt as guests. A guaranteed great time!

This venue is truly a hidden gem! Being on the water in Boston is one thing, but this is the ONLY venue with a water view that contains the Boston city skyline!! (All other water views look out at the airport). We had our wedding on September 12th, 2015 and the weather was perfect for the lawn ceremony and tented reception. The setup was perfect - ceremony overlooking the water; cocktail hour on the lawn with corn-hole and bocce ball; reception under the tent with lawn access all night! It gave guests the ability to cool off while still being well within earshot of the DJ. The views just got better and better as the sun set and the city lights took over the sky.

We moved to California very soon after we got engaged and had to plan our entire wedding remotely. Ashlynn was a dream to work with! She promptly answered all of my questions, and gave us great vendor recommendations that made our wedding day spectacular! Ashlynn was on top of everything from the beginning - she’s fun, professional, and will make the planning process smooth and easy!

Food: Amazing! Their NY strip was just as yummy as the filet and ~$20 cheaper per head. We skipped on the champagne toast and got a hotdog bar for late-night eats that was a huge hit!
Cake: you get to choose between 2 bakeries - Konditor Meister was our choice for 3 decadent flavors: double chocolate, carrot with cream cheese frosting, vanilla with lemon mousse.
Location: couldn’t be better! The proximity to the airport meant our guests didn’t have to rent a car and we didn’t need to plan ANY transportation.
Rooms: the hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are awesome!

If you are concerned with noise/obstructions from the nearby airport, don’t be! We never heard or saw a single plane throughout the entire event!

Pro tip: the Hyatt has a dock with a water taxi to take guests to downtown Boston during down time. We had our rehearsal dinner on a boat that took off right from the hotel! Perfection!

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Megan and the Hyatt! We are beyond glad we picked the Hyatt for our wedding venue! When we first got engaged we knew we wanted a hotel venue so we looked into Boston and Newport. We loved some Newport venues as well as Boston (but some were really expensive)! Then we walked into the Hyatt and were blown away by the view. Then we met Megan and were sold! She was so incredible throughout the whole process from start to finish. I am a bit of a control freak but with Megan's help I was able to be a very laid back bride and she helped me with so much! We got married in the tent outside and we had the most perfect day. Every single one of our guests cannot stop talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to and how amazing the venue and food was. I even got to eat my entire meal and it was so delicious! We had a lot of vendors and they were all able to work with the Hyatt with no issues! The rooms and suites are also newly redone and were amazing (especially the suite the bride and groom get!). I would recommend the Hyatt to anyone that asked! :)

I recently had a Friday evening wedding at the Hyatt, ceremony and cocktail hour on the lawn and reception in the tent! It could not have gone better, everything was beautifully done, set up and such professional and friendly staff! They did an amazing job throughout the whole process! The venue is absolutely beautiful, I truly do not think there is a better view or setting in Boston!!! We lucked out with amazing weather as well!
The planning process was also amazing- Megan Foster was our coordinator and made the whole process as stress free as possible. Always quick to respond to questions, emails and accommodate our requests. On our rehearsal and wedding day she was there to ensure everything went smoothly and was on top of any and everything that came up! I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Megan and at the Hyatt!
The food was delicious and we have received countless compliments on it! Every guest was blown away by the setting and the hotel itself!
As far as cost- it was the best priced venue we found in Boston! Very reasonable price per head and a 10% discount for a Friday.
I highly recommend this venue for so many reasons I could go on and on! If you want a picture perfect wedding on the harbor with a city backdrop, excellent service and reasonable cost the Hyatt Boston Harbor is for you!

I just had my wedding here and the only word I can use to describe it is perfect. Everyone there was helpful and polite beyond compare. Lara was the coordinator that we worked with directly and she was absolutely fantastic. Her attention to detail was just outstanding, for example, we went with a nautical theme, colors navy and coral, and she wore a navy anchor shirt to match. She just went above and beyond.

The food was great, all of the guests absolutely loved everything they ate, before the wedding the Hyatt has a group food tasting and the day-of meals were just as perfect as the testing day, if not better.

Of course the view was absolutely stunning, even though it rained for a little bit of the reception. We also used their uplighting services and they matched the room perfectly.

Speaking of the rain- our cocktail hour was supposed to be outside on the patio yet it started to downpour just as guests were arriving, Lara and everyone else took no time to get everything totally moved inside. It was seamless. So much so that if you didn't know before hand that the cocktail hour was going to be outside, you wouldn't have guessed it.

I couldn't have had a better wedding than having it at the Hyatt Harborside/ Hyatt Boston Harbor

First, the view is out of this world. All of our guests loved it. Our photos came out amazing. Second, the food is delicious. Our guests are still raving about it. Finally and most importantly, Megan Foster- our coordinator-- was absolutely heaven sent and perfect. She handled everything we asked for with such ease and always was so responsive. We couldn't have done it without her! The entire Hyatt staff was friendly, accommodating and provided excellent customer service to us and our guests.

I loved every moment of our wedding at the Hyatt and can't imagine it anywhere else.

The Hyatt Boston Harbor is the best wedding location in Boston! My husband and I knew we wanted our wedding location to be on the water. We explored a few wedding venues in the North End and Seaport area and then we went across the harbor over to the airport to check out the Hyatt. The moment my husband and I walked in our breaths were taking away by the amazing view of the city skyline in front of us. We knew right then and there that this would be our perfect venue. We decided to have our wedding reception in the semi-permanent tent on the Harborside lawn in the back of the hotel. The views from the tent was the Boston Harbor and full view of the city skyline. We also chanced it and planned our wedding ceremony right there on the lawn as well w/ the city skyline behind. It was a gamble we won b/c the weather the day of our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. Megan, our day-of wedding coordinator, was the best! She was always super responsive to all my emails, which was at least once a month from the moment we booked the wedding and even more the 2 months before the wedding. Megan executed my vision for the wedding perfectly. The day before the wedding I handed her everything for the reception, I explained everything I wanted, and she executed everything perfectly the day of! She handled working w/ all my vendors and I was not bothered once that day by any of my vendors. Aside from being the perfect location (nowhere else in Boston can you get a view of the whole city skyline), Megan and the rest of the Hyatt staff was just amazing to work with. Also, cost wise… very reasonable for a Boston venue. Thank you Hyatt Boston Harbor and Megan giving my husband and I the perfect wedding day!!!

We just had our wedding here Labor Day weekend and the Hyatt Boston Harbor was a fantastic place to spend the wedding weekend. The rooms are amazing with views no matter where you are! Our ceremony was held on the lawn and reception in the a skyline Ballroom - which is the best view of Boston in the city - trust me! We also held a brunch the day after the wedding in the Harborside Ballroom which was great as well.
Thank you Lara and the incredible Hyatt staff for your graciousness, help and accommodation! It's greatly appreciated!
If you are looking for a great wedding venue, with views of Boston unlike any other, reasonable rates for your guests, great service, fantastic food, and close to the airport for out of town guests, this is the place for you.

The Hyatt Boston Harbor was the absolute perfect place to hold our wedding! From the day we signed the contract with the hotel to hold our reception there we had Lara Hart as our contact. Lara was an extreme pleasure to work with in the year + leading up to our wedding. You could tell she honestly cared about making our day perfect and would do whatever she could to make the planning process go as smoothly as possible. We couldn't have wished for a better person to work with!!!

Our wedding day we lucked out and had fantastic weather! We had an outdoor ceremony at the hotel with their amazing Boston Skyline background, followed by our cocktail hour on the patio, & our ceremony in the tent. I can't even begin to count how many compliments we received on everything from the venue to the food that night from our guests.

Thank you again Lara & the entire Hyatt Staff for truly making our wedding day the best day of our lives so far!

The Hyatt Harborside, now the Hyatt Boston Harbor was the most amazing venue for our wedding! My husband and I were lucky enough to work with Lara to prepare for our Big Day. Lara certainly did not disappoint and is one of the most helpful and professional people I have had the pleasure of working with. When we needed help changing the menu so that it was more "relaxed" Lara told us anything we wanted, the Hyatt Harborside could do/make!

The food at the wedding was unbelievable! Everyone loved it and continues to tell us how truly delicious it was!

Thanks Hyatt Haborside/Boston Harbor, especially Lara, for the most wonderful day of our lives

FABULOUS!! Megan Foster and team did a fantastic job on my daughter's wedding!! Thank you for creating our wedding dreams!! The view is incredible and the food will wow your guests. We brought in linens, couches, lighting, hosted a garden ceremony, patio cocktail hour overlooking the cityscape, reception in the grand ballroom and hosted a chic after party with a black and white dance floor and lighting with a DJ in the skyline ballroom with additional food and drinks. Megan and her team created the ultimate atmosphere!!

We were looking at possible wedding locations for a few weeks. I had emailed back and forth with many locations. Megan at the Hyatt, happened to be my favorite to chat with. We were set on having our wedding in downtown proper though, until we decided to just look at the Hyatt, because I really liked Megan. We were driving there and I remember saying, I can't really have people driving through the airport to get to the wedding, and then we walked in and saw the view it was a done deal. All of the steps in the wedding planning process are fun and a little stressful, Megan made them all much easier. I was extremely confident in her abilities and felt like nothing was going to get missed. I was not wrong. Thank you...

The Hyatt was wonderful. I cannot say enough about the wedding coordinator. I think I sent her about 500 emails between when we booked and our wedding. She always responded quickly and was so accommodating! The staff was great as well. My wedding guests had a blast and absolutely loved the location.

I have been to the Hyatt many times for brunch and knew that the food and service was great but it is truly another thing to have my wedding there. First off I knew right away that I wanted to have my wedding there not only because of the food and service but because of that beautiful view of the Boston skyline. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn and cocktail hour outside on the patio. Our reception was held on the grand ballroom. The Hyatt by far blew me away. With the Catering Mgr Lara right down to the Conceige. The entire staff made sure that the days leading up to the wedding was perfect including the wedding itself. Friends and family are still talking about what a wonderful wedding of was, how incredible the food was and how amazing the service was!! I am so happy that we made the choice to choose the Hyatt. I would not hesitate to have other functions there in the future. Again, thanks so much for making our day so amazing and one we will never forget!

I can't even begin to tell you how incredible the Hyatt is! From the bellman to the manager the service was exceptional! My wedding day weather didn't turn out to be quite what I expected for June (cold and rainy) but it was the BEST wedding ever! It was very stress free and everything got taken care of. Megan, the wedding coodinator, is one of the most organized, down to earth and nicest person. She assured me the day would be beautiful no matter what and it was! The food was delicious and hot! Everybody raved about it! The hotel itself is clean and has beautiful views of boston. After the wedding we may have been a little loud in the hallway and security did come but he was so nice and respectful about it. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the hotel manager paid for mine, my husband and fathers meals! The bellman I think his name was Ryan came up to my room the day after the wedding and took all my extra stuff from the wedding flowers, my dress etc and even pulled my car up and loaded it with all the stuff! I would highly, highly recommend the Hyatt for a wedding I wouldn't of changed a thing!

The catering manager at Hyatt is very nice and efficient. I am out of town and she's prompt to my emails and questions, which is a loooooot. One week before my wedding, she escorted my planner and me for a walk-through and made final notice. On the big day, things are perfect. The food is great and the waiters/waitresses are very friendly. They are also very flexible to my needs.

When it comes to the view, you don't get ANY better in Boston than the Hyatt Harborside! The Hyatt is a wonderful venue. Megan Foster is the BEST, and makes sure every detail in your day is perfect. She was wonderful to work with. The food there is phenomenal. We also hosted a brunch the next morning, which was equally as impressive as our reception dinner. Everyone at the hotel is extremely helpful & friendly. I highly recommend the Hyatt!!

My husband & I were fortunate to have our wedding reception at Hyatt Harborside in Boston, MA. Between the location, the staff, and the quality of all services, we cannot rave enough! You cannot beat the view of Boston or the ambiance of the pavilion/tent - the hotel is right on the Boston Harbor, so you have water, boats, the city skyline...perfection! The staff was amazing - Megan Foster, sales manager, was our wedding coordinator and could not have been more professional, personable, helpful, and flexible; and the banquet staff were so accommodating, friendly, and skilled. The food was UNBELIEVEABLE...people are still calling us to tell us how delicious everything tasted! We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience...thank you Hyatt Harborside for making our dream reception come true...absolutely perfect!

OUTSTANDING!!! Especially Megan! She is amazing and made my day so perfect! If there were any problems I had NO idea about them and still dont. She coordinated everything. The food was perfect! Our personal server Louie was awesome and catered to our every need.

This is definitely the spot to get married or have you reception at. The view from the skyline room is amazing!!!!

I highly recommend the Hyatt Harborside. Our reception was in the Skyline ballroom, which is gorgeous! I worked with Megan and she was amazing!!! She was so responsive throughout the planning, worked with my budget, was flexible, and soo fun to work with. She was also very attentive on wedding day. Everything was perfect! The food was amazing! Our guests were very impressed. Everything about my experience here couldnt have gone any better. Definitely check it out!!!

I may be biased, but I think our wedding was amazing - and a lot of that had to do with the Hyatt. I knew I wanted a Boston wedding and we spent months visiting different venues in and around the city. We landed on the Hyatt because it had the best city views, overall event spaces (ceremony, cocktail hr and reception), and it was the best value as far as what you get for your money. Working with Meghan throughout the sales process was great - she was available for us to tour the property (as many times as we wanted) and was very knowledgeable when answering all of our questions. Courtney was assigned as our event coordinator once we signed the contract. She was very helpful throughout the planning process to answer questions and make recommendations. One of our favorite things about the wedding weekend was that Courtney arranged 2 water taxis to take all of our guests to the rehearsal dinner (at Harpoon Brewery) - everyone thought it was so cool and it was a great way to see the city. During planning, we found out that the room we had originally requested for brunch was booked for another party - Courtney was fast to address our concerns and worked with us to make up for it. The day of the wedding went flawlessly. At one point there was another bride taking photos right next to our ceremony and wouldn't stop on Courtney's request so we had to start our ceremony late and subsequently missed our extended cocktail hour trying to make up the time. It didn't bother me as I was just excited to get married, but I could see how someone might not want another bride in their ceremony space (they could have more than one event held there). The decor and setup of the reception was amazing - it looked even better than I'd imagined and Courtney and all of the staff were so welcoming and helpful when I dropped off carloads of supplies. We also used the points we got with the rewards program for nights at beautiful 5 star Park Hyatts in Paris and Milan on our honeymoon.

I loved working with Megan the year before our wedding to work out details on our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and brunch. We had the most amazing weekend there - everything from the hotel rooms to the event rooms to the food was fabulous. My guests loved that they could take a free shuttle from the airport - some even took the T in from Boston to the airport and the shuttle over to the hotel from there. Particularly for the price compared to other hotels in Boston, I HIGHLY recommend the Hyatt Harborside!

This venue was amazing start to finish. I do not have one single complaint.To start they had a great event where we were able to meet Kendra our wedding coordinator and taste all of the menu and view the different settings. The event was very helpful and well run! Kendra was beyond amazing she helped me plan the rehearsal dinner at hotel a week before wedding. The day of was magical!! Kendra and Marion handled everything! I did not have to worry about one thing. They were also so thoughtful. They had champagne and cake and even a framed photo of us in our room. We didn't eat anything during reception because we were just floating around the room. Marion's team saw that and offered to make us whatever we want to eat which was amazing. There is really no way for me to list all of the amazing thoughtful details that they thought of!

The Hyatt Boston Harbor Hotel has an incredible view of Boston, a hidden gem. We got married late August and it was the perfect day. The staff were incredible as well as the food. All of our guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on the patio followed by the reception under the tent. Ashlynn, the wedding coordinator was FANTASTIC. We met her about 4 weeks before our wedding date and she was able to execute all of our wedding details and plans seamlessly.

We selected the Hyatt Boston Harbor for our wedding because of the unique and stunning view of Boston that it offers. However what we received went far beyond a beautiful backdrop. From day 1 until days after the event we felt like we were working with our good friends. Everyone we encountered throughout the process was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and made us feel special every time we spoke to them. Our function coordinators were the best in the biz and the staff who took care of us and our guests during the event couldn't have been better. This place is a TEN and we would recommend it to anyone looking to host an event that will dazzle their guests and make them feel like royalty.

We did our wedding reception in the tent out back. It was beautiful. Guests commented throughout the event about how the venue was a hidden gem. They couldn't get over how fantastic the view is and kept telling us they understood why we chose it. We work with Megan Foster as our event planner, and she and her team did a fantastic job! Megan was extremely responsive, very professional, and was a pleasure to work with.

Hyatt Boston Harbor was wonderful to work with. I thoroughly appreciate that they gave us flexibility over the location of our wedding and the time of when to have it. Lara did a great job of answering all of our questions and I appreciated help from management when we had some issues with our wedding block. On the day of, Lara was wonderful to make sure everything went into place and we had the day we always dreamed of. Oh, and the guests raved about how wonderful the food was!

The Hyatt Boston Harbor was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. From the moment we met Lara, she was professional and on top of it. Along the way, she was responsive in answering my questions, gave great guidance, and immediately solved any issues. Leading up to the day, I felt full confidence in her executing our weekend flawlessly. The reality was that the entire staff at the Hyatt all contributed to making our weekend flawless, as well. The concierge desk went above and beyond in helping us with all of our stuff, getting our room settled, and helping the 66 guests that we had staying at the hotel. The front desk staff were so cheerful and genuinely happy. And on the day of my wedding, I walked into my cocktail hour, and was immediately given a glass of champagne. I felt like royalty. The serving staff approached me to make sure I got to eat the appetizers we'd picked and Lara and her team brought my wedding reception vision to life. In fact, it far exceeded my dreams! The entire night was executed perfectly and the food was amazing. The guests raved about the perfectly cooked steaks - which is no joke considering there were 75 of them served at the same time. The ambiance of the hotel during the holidays is amazing and contributes to a festive, romantic atmosphere.

You cannot beat the view of Boston from this hotel, nor the convenience for your out of town guests. The shuttle was key to our weekend.

I gave 4 stars for value, only because it's not an inexpensive place. There are certainly cheaper ways to throw a wedding. However, you get what you pay for and if you want a worryfree day and weekend with excellent food, amazing staff and stunning views, then you will not beat the Hyatt.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor, and working with the Hyatt team was a great experience! The team is very professional and they made the planning process easy. The venue is so beautiful and provided the best of both worlds, a serene outdoor reception by the water with views of the bustling city skyline! The food was great and the service was impeccable, we're still getting compliments from guests about the extremely attentive, helpful, and professional staff. Amanda was our wedding coordinator and she is amazing. She is very professional and helped us plan all of the details that come along with wedding planning. On the wedding day she managed our timeline perfectly, made sure things made it back to our room safely, and she even decorated our cake when we needed an extra set of hands! I would highly recommend the Hyatt to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Boston, you can't beat it!

Beautiful Venue

We had our wedding on a cloudy and rainy day. Unfortunately, the view was obscured for the first half of the day but eventually the clouds gave way. We had our ceremony indoors and our reception in pavilion. We made the best out of an unlucky situation and we had a blast doing it. The staff and service was phenomenal and we also received compliments on the food. Our coordinator Alison was very responsive and helpful and the staff that assisted us on the wedding day were fantastic as well. A big shoutout to Tracy from the banquet team who went above and beyond to make sure my bridesmaids remembered to eat and made a special plate for my husband whose stomach was bothering him that day.

Highly recommend this venue - we had a great time even with the inclement weather!

We had my daughter’s wedding there in June. It has a beautiful view of the harbor and city skyline. Our wedding specialist, Stephanie was very attentive and worked hard to make sure the wedding was everything my daughter envisioned. We were very happy with our choice of the Hyatt Harborside!

The Hyatt was a great place to have our wedding and we're so happy we had it there. We had many guests traveling from out of town and being next to the airport was very convenient. The view is amazing, even for an indoor winter wedding. The staff knows how to organize a wedding and was on top of everything. Everyone was raving about the food (which we did plated meals with beef, salmon, and stuffed shells) and couldn't believe how good the food was. We also held a welcome party Friday night, an after party, and brunch on Sunday, all of which the Hyatt coordinated flawlessly.

At times, our wedding coordinator was a little slow getting back to us. We had three wedding coordinators within the year after we signed the contract. The transition between coordinators was easy, but frustrating to have to go through everything multiple times, especially since the last transition was two weeks before our wedding. Michael was our wedding coordinator day of and he was amazing. Anything we needed, he was there to help us find an answer. He's super friendly and knows what he's doing. The front desk was also very attentive and called us several times while we were getting ready to see if we needed anything.

Lastly, we honeymooned at the Hyatt Zilara Cancun, which is an all-inclusive resort, with the points we received from the wedding. We also opened a Hyatt credit card and charged the wedding on the Hyatt card and were able to get to Explorist status and got so many points :) I would highly recommend having your wedding at the Hyatt if you want to rack up points to travel with.

I loved the Hyatt and wish I could repeat the whole weekend :)

Great venue! It is absolutely stunning views and our wedding coordinator, Amanda, was fantastic! Anything we wanted, she could make it happen. Even when we had a couple of hiccups during the wedding day, she was right there to fix them! Our florist didn't put the boutineres in water and they ended up having dead stems. Some broke off, we were shorted one, etc. Amanda took a couple flowers and leaves from one of the centerpieces and whipped up some new ones! She was great. Everyone is very attentive. They were also fantastic with food restrictions! We had 3 guests who were gluten free and they were able to tailor the meals perfectly for them!

The wedding catering services at the Hyatt were terrific. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. One member of our party had severe dietary restrictions and Lara and her staff worked to make sure that the special order plates were just as delicious as the rest of the food. The room was very nice and overlooked the Boston Harbor. Great experience.

Great place to have your wedding! We had our ceremony out on the lawn overlooking the Boston skyline. Most of the guests stayed at the hotel which was also great. Megan the catering director is phenomenal and so helpful. I would definitely recommend having your wedding here. The only thing I didn't like was that there were other weddings going on the same day, but we didn't really have any problems w/ interference. The skyline ballroom is amazing for your reception.

I had my wedding at this hotel and overall it was fantastic - 4.5 stars - there were a few small glitches that keep me from giving it a 5, but overall it was fabulous.

The event planning staff: Kara was a life saver and tended to all my needs the entire wedding weekend. Sarah was also amazing and super helpful (if you ever read this, Sarah I hope you got your scissors back!!). Megan did most of the prep work for my wedding but was out for the actual event because she got married the same weekend :)

The bellmen were all fantastic and did everything they could to make my and my guests weekend as easy as possible.

The venues - Ceremony and Cocktail hour: We originally planned to have our ceremony on the lawn, but ended up having it in the tent because while it was a gorgeous SUNNY day the wind was almost bitterly cold. We had a small-ish wedding so we were able to have the ceremony on one end of the tent and the cocktail hour on the other side. The view was amazing (pretty much just like being outside) and the guests loved it.

Reception: I fell in love with the skyline ballroom the minute I set foot in it and when I walked in to check it out after the ceremony it was exactly what I pictured when I fell in love with it that moment. The lighting was perfect, set up was perfect, the layout looked amazing, I can go on and on, but I'll sum it up with PERFECT.

Food: I have heard many times that our food was the BEST food people had ever had at a wedding. and I agree, but I was thinking I might be biased since I picked it all out, but with all the comments I've gotten I think it just might be true! The Hyatt worked with me to create my own menu by customizing one of the menus they offered with a different entree that I requests. I liked that they were flexible about it.

Drinks: The bartender was very nice, but no one gave him the notice that I wanted the specialty drinks available to my guests so when I tried to order one he was like I have no idea what you are talking about and I had to have Kara take care of it. I'm not sure where this glitch happened since you'd think because these drinks are $10 and that's $2 more than regular drinks they would have tried to push these on people more, but they did have it resolved with 15 min or so so I'll give credit there :)

Rooms: I got upgraded to a suite since I was the bride so of course my room was INSANELY fabulous. I have no idea what it would cost a night, but if you can get it then go for it! I think it was the presidential suite or something. Gorgeous. Flat Screen TV in the bathroom so you can watch it from the jacuzzi tub. Yup.. that's right. Loved it! And it never really felt crowded even when we had myself, 4 bridesmaids, a flower girl, 2 moms, and a couple other friends stopping in along with 2 hairdressers and a makeup artist. That's a heck of a suite I'd say. Everyone else was impressed with their rooms also and they just had regular rooms :) Overall - Highly recommended for a wedding or even just for a short visit. Definitely get the Harbor-View though TOTALLY worth it.

Overall - the location was just perfect. Amazing skyline view of the Boston skyline - convenient to downtown Boston by water taxi, excellent food, and so easy to have everything regarding the wedding all in one place.
Some issues that I had though maybe had to do with the month of September being very busy for the hotel, but a big part of having my wedding here, was so I could host all of my guests that were out of town (which was a high percentage). There was definitely a lot of stress involved with getting enough room blocks and then the cost doubling for the rooms after trying to get more room blocks with still 5 months prior to our wedding date. In addition, there was not a very good system for managing our wedding block - we felt very much in the dark and would find out that our block would fill up from our guests, not from the hotel. For having a wedding at the hotel - ironically, the accommodations was the most stressful part of the wedding process for me.
I also did not have the easiest of relationships with my coordinator, who was assigned to us halfway through the process because our original coordinator changed position. Our coordinator was a bit unresponsive closer to the wedding and rather pushy towards some of my vendors during the reception. We also had some issues with cost discrepancies, which was finally resolved several weeks after the wedding. I do wish we had the opportunity to work with someone else - as I have read really great things about some of the other on-site coordinators.
However - the staff in general at the Hyatt were fantastic. My guests even made comments about how well taken care of they felt, and people were just blown away by the food and the view. My husband and I looked at a lot of venues, and the Hyatt was by far the best value in Boston. I believe the Hyatt Boston Harbor used to be a hidden gem, but no longer - it is highly competitive to have your wedding here and for good reason!

The communication with my coordinator, Megan, was amazing throughout the entire process. From day one, she would return my emails quickly, which was very important to me. She was easy to talk to and never made me feel like I was annoying, which, let’s be real, I’m sure I was at some points. The weekend of the wedding is the only place where some points were lost. We had a heck of a time getting our welcome bags delivered. We had to continue reminding them, and even at the end of the weekend, not all of the bags were delivered. On top of that, we were charged $3 delivery per bag, so the fact that it was such a hassle to get them delivered was irritating. It was disappointing that my mom had to keep nagging them to make sure they were delivered. There was some issue with the open bar and a tip jar. I guess there wasn’t supposed to be a tip jar (per my MIL’s request or something), but there was, and that made my MIL angry. Also, they used the wrong linens on my tables. There weren’t supposed to be any overlays, but there were. One of those things that no one else noticed, but it was kind of a bummer to me because aesthetically, it wasn’t what I was going for. But, everyone raved about the food (I mean, it was hot and tasty, which is more than most hotel weddings can boast), and pretty much everything else went accordingly. Our view was what I consider to be the best in the city, and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend.

Our wedding coordinator, Megan, was just wonderful. She was very responsive and flexible to all of our requests. The only dissapointment were our entrees which were "OK" at best.
