Why should you book Hunter for your upcoming engagement, wedding, any other reason photo session? Well first, and in my experience/opinion most importantly, Hunter is a total joy to work with. His smile is infectious and his encouragement allows those whose photo he is capturing give the very best of themselves, as he sets a positive and helpful tone by giving good guidance for pictures (because some people totally scramble when a camera is pointed at them). From a tactical standpoint, he not only captured the absolute best parts of our wedding reception, for which we requested his services for, but also edited them in a way that accurately fit the vibe of our event. He found the right golden tones that were scattered throughout the space to come through and make my partner and I look as ethereal as we felt that night.
Our favorite photos of the night were in our getaway car - which was a vintage taxi cab from the 1960's to fit the classic vibe of our New York City wedding. Hunter captured our exit from the reception and then was very proactive by sharing so many fun ideas of how to pose us outside and inside the car. Thanks to his creativity and eye for capturing that natural yet cinematic love, we now have so many treasured photos now to remember from one of the most important nights of our life. Christian and Hannah Wedding
Hunter was absolutely the best choice for our wedding. Not only did he do an incredible job with the photos, he also made the moments he captured in his photos so special. For our individual portraits, he took us away from the crowd and created a quiet, special time for us that I will forever think of when I look at our pictures! He exceeded my expectations beyond what I had imagined. It was so helpful to be able to meet with him ahead of the wedding and to be able to share some of our ideas of what kind of pictures we wanted and what kind of style we were looking for. He managed to capture pictures of almost everyone at the wedding, which was so important to us! We would recommend Hunter for anyone looking for a wedding photographer!! -

Incredible
My husband and I hit the jackpot when we booked with Hunter! He is not the only the best photographer but the best person. He made the process of booking with him and planning a breeze and had the BEST communication. We didn’t have to worry about a thing with him. We booked him for our engagement photos and our wedding. We were worried for our engagement photos because we didn’t know how to pose but he helped us feel like naturals and so comfortable in front of the camera. At our wedding all of our guests LOVED Hunter and how nice and professional he was but also fun to be around. Our photos came out so dreamy and show what the day was about, love and laughter. Would book Hunter again and again. Definitely recommend!! -

Hunter is the best – we couldn’t be happier with our wedding & engagement photos. Hunter’s pricing is good and he clearly communicates exactly what’s included in the package. Beyond the fair pricing, we chose Hunter because we felt so comfortable with him right from the start. He is a great listener, open to creative ideas, and he’s reliable – we knew we could 100% trust him for our big day. Our wedding gallery includes formal group shots, artsy portraits of the two of us, and adorable candids of our friends. He can do it all! Hunter is a true local who grew up in Tampa and knows all the best photo spots. We were impressed by how knowledgeable he was of different venues and outdoor photo locations. Stunning pictures we will cherish forever
We would give hunter 100/10 if we could! Everything about working with Hunter for our wedding photography was absolutely perfect. From the very first meeting he was so friendly and enthusiastic about our big day. He made note of everything we wanted for pictures and his questionnaire he had us fill out was super comprehensive so every photo we wanted was on his radar. On our wedding day Hunter and his second shooter were both incredible! They took so much care of the whole bridal party and our family making sure everyone was included and having a fun time taking photos. During our couple portraits and individual portraits his directions for how to pose were super helpful and every image we got back in our gallery is beyond beautiful. Hunter and his second shooter also made us and all of our guests feel 100% comfortable. Wedding days, and especially couple portraits can be a very intimate moment and it really felt like Hunter and his team were guests who were celebrating right along with us but also capturing all the important moments! If we had to do the day all over again we would absolutely hire Hunter again! If you want a photographer who makes your wedding day fun, easy-going and captures the highest quality photos then we recommend you hire him too!

Phenomenal Photographer
My husband and I are so glad we found Hunter o'Brien! From the initial messaging about services he was friendly, easy to communicate with, and responded quickly. Hunter made sure we had multiple meetings in order to make the day go smoothly, get to know him, and to ensure we got the photos we really wanted. He captured all of our must get photos and within 24 hours we had a sneak peak to post to our social media. He delivered all of our pictures in a timely manner and they are absolutely beautiful! We could not be more happy with our photos and with Hunter! He's truly amazing at what he does and now we have pictures to last a life time. We would 1000% recommend using Hunter o'Brien photography. To preface how incredible Hunter is— we planned our (Florida) wedding from Michigan and got married 10/13/24, 3 days after Hurricane Milton. Hunter was by far the most incredible, down to earth, professional individual we had met in the process of planning our wedding. He was by far the BEST wedding vendor we had, and we had some pretty great vendors.
That being said, if we did anything right planning our wedding, it was choosing Hunter as our photographer. Hunter is incredible with not only his work (which is an art in itself), but his ample communication and desire to go above and beyond.
Not knowing what the state of our venue would be post hurricane, Hunter was checking in on us, and willing to be flexible given the circumstances at hand, while probably evacuating himself being local to the Tampa area….
To our luck, our venue was still salvageable and our wedding went off with a hit! Hunter studied our Pinterest board for inspiration photos, was on time and even provided our final photos BEFORE we had anticipated. As someone who is not typically comfortable in front of the camera, I still look back at our wedding photos and get emotional at how incredible the day was captured and how natural it felt having photos taken. I truly believe that the reason Hunter is so good at what he does is not something that can be taught or duplicated, but due to his incredible personality and ability to make people genuinely smile. Many of our friends got married around the same time as us ask questions about our experience with our vendors and are floored at our experience with Hunter. The friends in mention (who also attended our wedding) were shocked at our experience with our Hunter, stating that their experience was vastly different than ours. Again, it goes back to the integrity and and personality that Hunter holds.
Not only did we find ourselves a wedding photographer, but a photographer for life. With both of our sets of parents being local to the Tampa/Sarasota area, we plan on utilizing Hunter for future professional photos, as we both visit the area 2x a year to visit family, at minimum. When you’ve found someone who is honest, professional and personable, you dont want to search elsewhere for incredible talent. We are so grateful to have met and developed a relationship with Hunter that will expand beyond our wedding day, bur capture other exciting moments of our lives.
If you are on the fence of hiring Hunter, do yourself a favor and do it. We would go through the stress of uncertainty of our wedding in the midst of a hurricane all over again if it meant we could work with Hunter again!
P.S.. As a little surprise, he even photoshopped my cat into one of our wedding photos as a little “surprise” since we both shared a love for Ragdoll cats! Truly the best! -

Working with Hunter at our wedding was such a dream! First and foremost, Hunter was so kind and positive that it made our wedding party feel so at ease being photographed. My partner and I wanted a mix of classic portraits and more creative/candid shots and Hunter truly delivered. We received sneak peek of our shots within 24 hours and were absolutely in love with the special moments Hunter captured. We would definitely recommend Hunter to anyone looking for some stunning and memorable photos of their most important day. -

Couldn’t ask for better service, pictures or experience
Hunter is amazing! We booked him for our engagement photos and asked for funny pictures. We sent some inspiration and he delivered what we asked for and then some. For our wedding we asked to have fewer posed pictures and more catching people in the moment. Every time I look at our pictures I can almost relive they say he captured it so well. Loved working with him and love his pictures 💖 -

Hunter O'Brien was the best photographer I could have asked for. I got married this past weekend and am blown away by just the sneak peeks he sent us. He was fun and professional and on top of everything he was very prepared. Me and my fiance are not really used to taking photos and were unsure of what to ask for and he had a list of photos and places he wanted to take and was quick with changes. He had a second shooter Ryan who was also fantastic and helped carry my dress around Saint. Petersburg. We had a couple meetings throughout the year leading up to the wedding to make sure he captured our vibe perfectly! We are currently living in Missouri, so getting married in Saint pete was nerve wrecking and he made the day seamless. He was worth every penny and If you are looking for a photographer you will not regret choosing him. He is very talented as the picture's I have attached show. -

Hunter did an absolutely amazing job capturing our wedding!! Beginning with the first planning stages, Hunter was professional and easy to work with. Since he and his wife, Erika (wedding coordinator), were a team for our wedding, the details were seamlessly communicated and carried out. He somehow managed to be in all the right places to capture candid moments (while being the lone photographer without any second shooters). He also coordinated many large group photos with ease. His easy-going personality made us all feel comfortable in front of the camera! We LOVE our final photos!! Hunter executed beautifully, all while being a joy to work with. We cannot recommend him enough! -

Working with Hunter for our engagement photo shoot was an amazing experience from beginning to end. He was warm, professional, and engaged (pun intended) and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He came prepared with many ideas but was open to anything we wanted to try. Hunter exceeded our expectations! We were a little nervous for our photo shoot and Hunter made us feel comfortable throughout the session. He has a great eye for photography and we enjoyed experimenting with different poses. He captured all sides of us and I’m so grateful to have these memories saved.
Not only is Hunter a great photographer, but he is a professional with his work. He arrived well prepared for the day and efficiently got us our digital copies.

Easy to work with, on time, and efficient at taking pictures. We were one of Hunters first clients and couldn’t be happier with the way the photos turned out for our engagement session. Some pictures are so unique that I don’t think I would have gotten them with other photographers. Would recommend Hunter, I had a good time! (Which says a lot since I normally hate taking pictures)
