So good! Great service

My husband and I knew we didn't want a fancy sit down dinner at the reception. We wanted variety and choices and BBQ! We went and tried the food before we made the final decision to go with them and we were blown away. Everything was so tasty! We heard a lot of good feedback about the food and how people appreciated that it was BBQ but that is was also so tasty!!!

We are so happy we chose Hungry Harry's as our caterer! I have sent many questions via email and they have all been answered very promptly and with patience! We had our tasting 2 months ago and they provided us with more food than we could believe! Every single thing we tried was so delicious and we are confident our guests are going to LOVE our food choices! The great thing is they are so flexible with their menu, they do not really restrict your choices and will accommodate requests. Their prices are also amazing!

I love HH Catering (Hungry Harry's). They are amazing! My husband and I LOVED our tasting for our wedding meal. We had 2 other tastings lined up after HH, but canceled them immediately after meeting with HH. The food was SO good (I wish they lived closer to St. Pete!). They helped me every step of the way, and never got impatient when I kept changing my head count for food.

They have gluten-free, vegetarian and other dietary restriction options. They are super friendly, and the caterer rep. actually came up to my husband and I at the wedding to make sure everything was fantastic and we were happy. Our guests loved the food!!

We booked our wedding with Cross Creek and Hungry Harry's was one of our options. My husband and I both love BBQ so it was a no-brainer.
For our trial we literally had our own separate room with a massive table FILLED with food! Everything was on that table and it was all amazing.
The best part was that the menu was completely customizable. We added bacon and cheese and onions to different items and he even offered to learn family recipes if we wanted.
The food is amazing! Order the corn casserole; my family will still not shut up about how good it was! My uncle looked up a recipe at my wedding he loved it so much.
The staff was great, food was amazing, it was perfect for our venue and our personalities.

I recently had Hungry Harry's cater my wedding at Cross Creek Ranch and the food was amazing. The Mac and cheese was my favorite and my guests as well. The pulled pork and chicken was impeccable too. We loved how attentive they were to us as the bride and groom and they were very kind and caring at the tasting working to make any if our desires come true.

We used hungry Harry's for our wedding at cross creek ranch and were very pleased! They were flexible with our schedule when we met for the tasting. The selection of food items at the tasting was great and really allowed us to chose what we liked most. The food on the day of the wedding turned out great and all of our guests really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend them for your wedding catering!

Yum!!! Just what we wanted for our country/rustic wedding at Cross Creek Ranch! They provided us with a table filled with all of their menu choices for our tasting... this made it easy to select our menu choices for our wedding. Also, the food was great on the day of the wedding. Love Hungry Harry's BBQ!

When I had my tasting at Hungry Harry's Family BBQ I was so surprised that they put out an entire spread. It wasn't a "tasting".. it was a MEAL for many. There were six or seven of us there and still plenty of leftovers. After the tasting, they filled all containers back up to the top and allowed us to bring them home with us. This business is the definition of Southern hospitality! Their staff is so enjoyable to work with. Their food is also AMAZING. It had so many people at our wedding talking. Yum! Thanks so much, Hungry Harry's!!!!

They were able to make my wedding dinner exactly how I wanted it! They were quick to respond to my many ideas and helped me build a perfect meal for my guests! !! Also, if you are looking for a mashed potato bar this I'd the best place, I still have guests asking where they can get them!!!

We used Hungry Harry's to cater our wedding at Cross Creek Ranch. Hungry Harry's was awesome - they were so accommodating and the food was so good! I am a vegetarian and my husband is a big meat eater - we were able to do meet with all veggie sides and it was seriously so good. I also am a true Floridian and love hot boiled peanuts. I asked if they would be able to get hot boiled peanuts to serve as an appetizer and they said no problem and were happy to do it. We had the best Cajun hot boiled peanuts and it was a really unique touch to the wedding. They also provided lemonade and sweet tea which were a huge hit. They were really amazing and easy to work with and I would definitely recommend them.

HH was 100% on everything. We decided to go with them for our rehearsal dinner as well as our wedding once we went in for a tasting. The fact that they can make BBQ as good as they can literally blew our minds! They have the best BBQ food, HANDS DOWN!!! (and the best sweet tea) For our rehearsal dinner we went with BBQ food for our 30 guests and as we expected, the night was PERFECT!!!! They made sure everyone was satisfied to the max and I can promise anyone reading this NONE of our guests left hungry. HH was extremely professional and personable to work with. Robbie took care of everyone and made our rehearsal so special. Jamie was a pleasure to work with through all of our menu planning for the wedding. For our wedding, the food was insanely awesome...I can't put into words how impressed my husband and I were with all the food. The apps, entrees, and the service was beyond amazing! Every guest had a perfectly cooked steak just like we wanted. To be able to serve food that good at perfect temperatures for 100 people really says something I think about a company. I know they can accommodate many more people, but I was really impressed with how well our wedding food was. Chad is a great cook, business man, person, etc. Our menu for the wedding included Rib eye, T-bone, baked potato, and asparagus, (we also had like 2-3 people that had salmon for their entrees due to dietary needs--which Chad again is the man and made that possible for us!). For our cocktail hour, we had a cheese/cracker tray, gator sausage (SOOO GOOD!), smoked gator bites (mmmmm!), and craw dads. I highly recommend HH catering to everyone and any time that we are in the area, we ARE DEFINETLY stopping in for a bite to eat! I can almost promise all of our wedding guests will be doing the same too. We live in NJ and most of our guests were from NJ, IO, WY, VA, and some FL. It was perfect!!!!

The food was incredible. It was reasonably priced and our guests loved it!!! If you are looking for something different than the standard fillet minjon they will do it. If you want green been casserole with your aunt molly's recipe, they will do it! Great to work with!

Chad and his crew were so helpful during the whole process of our wedding! Even though they were working with our wedding venue they still communicated with us and answered all of our questions and then some. They really bent over backwards for all of our needs and were just a blessing to work with. Not to mention that the food was AMAZING! I'm from Texas originally so our BBQ had to be good for our wedding and it was! I still have people commenting on how much they liked the food, especially the collard greens, and it's a month later. My hubby and I plan to go back to their restaurant for our one year anniversary just so we can eat our wedding dinner again, it was that good!

Hungry Harry's was perfect for our outdoor wedding. My husband is a meat-lover, and I am a vegan. Needless to say, we are not the easiest people to cook for. Hungry Harry's created a menu that was delicious for both of us, and our guests had rave reviews about the Lentil Loaf! They also helped execute my biscuit bar idea by providing fresh biscuits as well as a variety of spreads and honeys to accompany them. We could not be happier with the level of service and quality of food provided for us and our guests on our big day. Bravo Hungry Harry's!

My food at my wedding was so amazing and delicious! I had a "country" theme wedding and BBQ was just the perfect thing to serve. Chad was such a pleasure to work with and he really wanted to make sure that we had everything that we needed for our special day. Since I was serving BBQ typically people thought that I was crazy because they thought it would be "messy" but Chad has this down to a "T" when it comes to weddings. He made sure that all the sauces were on the side so nothing would get on my dress or anyone else's attire for that matter and let me tell you their sauces were soooooo goood!!

We would like to thank Louis and Chad of Hungry Harry’s Famous Barbecue Restaurant for making our wedding reception dinner so successful. We first met with Louis several months ago for a tasting at Hungry Harry’s in Seffner. We were getting married at Cross Creek Ranch in Dover and Hungry Harry’s is one of their preferred caterers. We had a slight reservation about having barbecue for the wedding reception rather than the standard salmon or steak. However, all doubts were erased when Louis presented us plates of brisket, ribs, chicken, pole beans, pasta salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, corn, and huge cups of sweet tea. At the end of the meal he even brought us some homemade cobbler which we could barely eat after our feast. When we left the restaurant, we knew that Hungry Harry’s would be our wedding caterer. Over the next few months we finalized the menu and Chad was very flexible in making changes, adding sides, etc. We also received kid’s pricing for those under the age of 12.

After our wedding ceremony, and while we were taking family photographs during the cocktail hour, we were served plates with cheese, crackers, pepperoni, assorted pieces of fruit, and drinks so we would not miss out on the food being served during the cocktail hour. During the reception, we were served plates filled with dry rub ribs, chicken, brisket, pole beans, macaroni and cheese, pasta salad, and corn. We even had bottles of barbecue sauce on our table. All of the food was excellent, especially the “fall-off-the-bone” ribs, tender brisket, and the macaroni and cheese. When the wedding was over, Hungry Harry’s packed four containers of food for us to bring home, along with two jars of their barbecue sauces. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the quality and quantity of food. People who didn’t like brisket suddenly liked brisket, people who didn’t even like barbecue enjoyed the food. The meal fit perfectly with the wedding venue and was enjoyed by everyone. The only negative thing I can say is that we don’t have any more leftovers!

A big “thank you” to Louis and Chad and the entire Hungry Harry’s serving staff for their outstanding service. We made an excellent choice for our wedding caterer, and we plan to visit their restaurant again soon.

Tasted Amazing!

Hungry Harry’s did an absolutely amazing job with the food. It’s been two months since our wedding and we still have people talking to us about how delicious it was. The servers that were there were very polite to us and our quests and packed us up FIVE to go containers to take on our honeymoon.

This is the best catering I have ever had! I am not a big fan of BBQ food but after our tasting I was sold! Their food is amazing! They are very easy to work with and have such a great selection. All of our guests loved the food and couldn't get enough of it. I wish they had a location closer to where I live because I would eat there all the time!

My fiance and I spent a week sampling barbecue all over Hillsborough and Pinellas County, in hopes of finding great food to evoke the rustic beach backyard feel to our wedding. In a whirlwind of barbecue joints throughout the Tampa Bay area, Hungry Harry’s stood out to me and my fiance for several reasons: the professional catering menu, the sauces, and the brisket. Oh, the brisket. The chicken and the collard greens are no slouch, either. Jaime at Hungry Harry’s was wonderful to work with, especially since we were planning from afar. When we requested strictly vegan and/or strictly vegetarian options (not, I imagine, a common request for a barbecue restaurant), Jaime worked with us and the chef to determine what entree might work, and even put aside plates for these guests with their names on them. Instead of feeling excluded because of their dietary restrictions, I think they felt special and I know they definitely appreciated the effort. The service at the wedding was great - as we forgot to check the lighting outdoors where the buffet was being served, it ended up being sort of dark, so the team from Hungry Harry’s helped hold up lights so our guests could see the food and get served. Additionally, one of our guests needed to leave early, and they were kind enough to pack 3 boxes for him to take with him. And need I say, the food itself was a MAJOR hit. Our guests absolutely loved it all. Thank you, Hungry Harry’s! They went above and beyond and made a wonderful impression on all of us.

Everyone at Hungry Harry's is so nice! They are super helpful and knowledgable. I loved working with them. Not to mention the food is SUPER good. Other weddings I have been to the food is served a little cold or just doesn't taste that good. That is not the case with Hungry Harry's. I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the food. It was hot and yummy. The staff was great too. They were in and out and I never even noticed them. They are great at what they do!

The food was good overall for large scale catering however I requested a special side dish, sweet potato soufflé that is Paula deen's recipe, and it was definitely not as I make the dish at home all the time myself. It was canned yams to begin with being passed off as sweet potatoes and did not taste at all like it was supposed to. A few guests told me after the wedding that their chicken was undercooked and bloody which is very disappointing to hear for the amount of money paid.

My husband and I were happy with the food. The banquet staff for our wedding rushed our guests to eat. The biggest let down of having to work with this caterer because of our venue was they did not let us take home the leftover food, which we were not aware of.

Very poor...new owners need to pay more attention

Just visited last week...ordered our favorite the brisket...prior to the change of ownership the brisket was outstanding...my wife and ordered the brisket sandwich with one side...neither of us could cut the sandwich...in fact we broke our knives trying...to add insult to injury the meat served cold, undercooked and had way to much fat... called the sever over and she agreed that the cook should have looked at it before serving (you think)...brought another portion same result couldn't even tear it apart with your teeth...my wife and I go all the way back to this place of business when it was Rodeo Bbq...$50.00 was extremely over priced for what I received...when I mentioned this at the counter no apology or adjustment was offered...will be a very long time before I give H&H bbq another visit.
