Our experience with Paul and Angie was absolutely incredible. The first phone call with Paul felt like talking with an old friend. They each have a unique way of making you feel special, and guided us seamlessly through the entire process. We felt so well taken care of in the days leading up to the wedding, and their joy and expertise shined through the whole time. The food was DELICIOUS and so beautifully presented, and they took extra care to make special options for guests with dietary restrictions. We had a cold January wedding and they nailed the cozy winter vibe we were going for! They are just wonderful people through and through, and excellent at their work. Cannot recommend Paul and Angie and their team highly enough!! -

Angie, Chef Paul, and the whole Huegah team are incredible! Food was one of the most important aspects to us for our wedding, and we are so thankful that we were able to work with them. Huegah came highly recommended to us at another venue tour early on in our planning and once we booked our actual venue, we immediately emailed Angie and felt so lucky that our date was still available. From our very first call, we knew that they are different (better) than other caterers. Angie was so helpful and a great listener in that first chat, and a really reliable communicator in all the months after. When we had our first tasting and got to meet Chef Paul and see (and taste) firsthand his passion and craft, we were blown away by the presentation. Also, the intimate dining setting they create made us feel so special. We narrowed down our menu through email and one additional tasting, and they made the process so low-pressure and enjoyable. Angie and Paul were also instrumental in our planning overall. Since I didn't have a planner or day-of coordinator, I relied on their expertise a lot throughout the process and they helped us make so many important decisions. In particular, they took such a thorough and thoughtful approach to our venue walkthrough, where we sat down and talked through EVERYTHING, which helped alleviate the stress I had been feeling. They worked closely with our DJ, other vendors, and friends/family day-of to execute everything I had laid out in my final planning documents, from decor to schedule and everything in between. All the little details come together exactly as I imagined -- if not better -- and that is largely thanks to Huegah. My husband and I had an amazing, worry-free, beautiful wedding day, and we wish we could relive it over and over again. I can't recommend Huegah enough! -

My partner and I are a bit of an unconventional couple, so for our wedding we felt inspired to serve an unstuffy and personal menu combining our two favorite foods: pizza and poke. As you might guess, finding a caterer who was on board for our unorthodox vision was a challenge. After reaching out to numerous teams, Huegah was the only one that not only accommodated our outlandish ideas but embraced them. That's how we met Paul and Angie. Choosing them was the best decision we made; from our first meeting, they didn't feel like vendors, they felt like family, ready to wrap us in the best kind of hospitality.
Part of the magic of Huegah is their harmonious partnership. Angie is warm and precise, a thoughtful anchor who handles all the logistics. The kind of person who’ll gently caution you not to pick 5 different bright colors of napkins because it might look like a children’s birthday party.. It was that sort of energy early on that established a level of familial trust and honest feedback that we sincerely valued. Paul is the creative force and culinary genius. We’d share simple ideas or favorite flavors, and he would run with them, crafting thoughtful, nuanced dishes that reflected our history. For appetizers, he created personal nods to our lives, like mushroom satay (from my Singapore travels) and pierogi (honoring my partner's Polish roots). The desserts were also a massive highlight. They remembered a small detail we'd shared about our daily morning latte ritual and surprised us with miniature versions of matcha and espresso in tiny mugs. Selecting it as our desserts was a no brainer—it was the quintessential late-night caffeine boost for our guests. The ultimate, unforgettable surprise, however, came on the wedding day when we found handmade ceramic dachshund chopstick holders at every place setting. This tiny, intentional act wasn't just about catering; it was about being genuinely seen and cared for in meticulous, wonderful detail.
If you want a catering team that works with heart, meets you on your level, and executes the food of your wildest dreams, run—don't walk—to hire Paul and Angie. They are simply the best, and we are so grateful they were part of our story. -

Paul and Angie stood out from the rest from day one. They got to know us and helped guide us through the entire process. Our goal was to keep things fairly simple, but high-quality. They took our general ideas and crafted the perfect family-style menu for our wedding reception.
The day of the wedding reception, Paul, Angie, and their team knocked it out of the park. At least a dozen guests told us this was by-far the best meal they'd ever had at a wedding reception, and a few even said it was one of the best meals they'd ever had - period. And we agree - the food, wine, service, etc. were all fantastic.
We'll be recommending Huegah to friends and family every chance we get.

Angie and Paul and the entire staff at Huegah are phenomenal! They put such care into their clients, you stop stressing about things the moment you meet with them.
Angie is so thoughtful, professional, and caring, she is the perfect point of contact! They will help you with every step along your process and ensure that nothing is forgotten or missed, they’ve done this a lot and it shows in their professionalism. On top of all of this, she is fantastic at signature drinks and taking a memory of a drink my wife and I liked a long time ago into a perfect recreation for our special day.
Paul is a maestro in the kitchen! When he crafted our sample menu, we knew they’d be the ones because of how much they listened to our requests, likes, and dislikes. They crafted the most personalized, seasonal, and tasty menu we could have hoped for, as well as being very flexible and thoughtful for all of our guests dietary restrictions. From the tasting to the ceremony, the food quality didn’t drop one bit and our guests were raving about it all night. We really appreciated the uniqueness of all of their food and how much Paul crafted items that we couldn’t have imagined and didn’t look like most tasting menus you’ll find out there, which went a really long way towards making us feel heard and respected and cared for by them and made it so easy to trust Paul and Angie.
Their staff are just as great and went the extra mile all night tending to all of my friends and family and making sure everyone had an unforgettable night.
If you’re looking for someone that’s gonna deliver an evening that you will never forget, then look no further Angie, Paul, and Huegah! -

We worked with Chef Paul and Angie for our wedding in early October 2024 and working with them was the best experience! We wanted our food and dinner experience to be top notch, as we value a good meal and wanted to share it with our guests; they took our requests and our vision and made everything come to life in the most amazing ways. Our space was beautiful, the service was incredible, the drinks were delicious and our guests are still asking for dinner recipes from that night! We had the pleasure of working with Huegah for our wedding. Angie and Paul are so compassionate about what they do and you can tell the amount of effort and care they put into each thought and menu item. Creating our menu with them was so much fun! We wanted soft pretzels as a late snack, and they fully delivered, homemade fresh pretzels with a custom pretzel cart! It was unreal and everything was so delicious and perfect. Over a month after our wedding, people are still talking about the food we ate! -

Angie, Chef Paul, and their whole team made our wedding so magical.
Angie was incredibly communicative and typically answered any email I sent within 24 hours, she was also incredibly patient with our constant changes, and willing to give advice to someone who had never planned an event like this. She also went above and beyond for our specific requests and was honest and clear when we were asking for something impossible as well as helping us find an alternative.
Chef Paul made one of the most fantastic menus I've ever experienced. He was willing to work with us and took our little notes in stride. Paul was very helpful with our guests' dietary restrictions, and everything was incredibly creative in both taste and how it was served. Most importantly, every single guest said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. All the ingredients were obviously fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly.
The rest of the team was also fantastic, the service staff were consistently checking in to make sure everything was good for the guests. They were all very polite but also were fun, they joined us on the dance floor which made everyone's night! The bartenders were awesome at suggesting things to our guests and they did a great job with our custom drinks.
The TLDR, Best food we've ever had at a wedding, awesome service, great communication, super creative. 10/10 -

Huegah stands out for their personal and intentional touch at every step of the process. From the initial conversation from Angie and Paul it was clear that they were as invested in making our wedding day as special as we were.
Seeing both of their smiling faces throughout the night felt like we were amongst family. And it was such a beautiful touch to receive our drinks by Angie during cocktail hour too. We truly felt so supported throughout the entire night.
All of our guests raved about the food, we honestly can’t list everything they said about each dish - from appetizers through dessert they were all perfect. The wait staff was also incredible.
We'd love to work with them again and would encourage anyone who wants an intentional and delicious menu for their event to go with Huegah! -

Flexible, Customisable, Worth Every Penny!
My fiancé and I ended up finding Huegah after our initial caterer was no longer able to. What initially drew us to Huegah was the fact that menus could be customised, which was very important to us because we wanted to have certain cultural foods. Angie and Paul did a great job listening to our wants and delivering. Paul worked meticulously to get us the dishes we wanted, even if he had never made them before! Angie was really easy to communicate with and super helpful in arranging decorations and choosing linens. Paul and Angie were super flexible, understanding, polite, and professional. I highly recommend working with them. Oh, and of course the food was delicious! We got so many comments from different guests of how good the food was or they were suprised at how much food there was! We went a little over our food budget to work with Huegah, but we are happy with our decision, because it was such a success and pleasant experience! -

This review is difficult to write, only because we cannot say enough good things about Huegah. After receiving menus and information from countless other bland, similar caterers in Chicago, we heard about Huegah. As people, Angie & Paul are warm, fun, talented, tasteful and cool. They are far more flexible than anyone else to whom we spoke, and understood and granted our wishes with ease. The food was beautiful, unique and delicious, and many of our guests said that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The main course was served family-style, which encouraged conversation among guests and allowed everyone to prepare their plate as they wished. (There was plenty of everything.) I wish we were getting married again tomorrow so we could hire them again. -

Best experience imaginable.
We really cannot recommend Huegah enough to everyone. Paul and Angie made things easy from the start. The tasting experience was wonderful and Angie helped us pick out decor to truly make the vision come true. It was everything we dreamed of and more. The food was incredible and Paul makes things different than any other wedding. They worked incredibly hard and were truly dedicated to making this the best day of our lives. The staff they work with was so helpful throughout the day and we loved it. They would email us before we had to make decisions and would help us do everything the way we wanted. They were timely with responses and we never worried. Huegah went above and beyond with creating a memorable drink and food experience. Everything was far above standard and we cannot thank them enough! -

Paul and Angie were an absolute joy to work with for our wedding. From our initial call, Paul overflowed with warmth and we only fell more in love with the pair of them at our delicious tasting a year and a half before the wedding. Paul and Angie went above and beyond, communicating with us frequently about little details, guest counts, linens, and menu items. They were also open to any ideas we had outside of their listed catering menu. Paul and Angie also did an additional walkthrough of our venue on their own to get familiar with the space before our walkthrough together. And when we had a miscommunication about external rentals, they were so understanding and made sure that we resolved things in a way that worked for everyone.
Not only are Paul and Angie wonderful human beings, they also turn out a beautiful event! Huegah did a room flip for us, ran our bars, and cleaned up at the end of the night. Our guests kept telling us how kind, positive, and helpful all of the staff were, and they made the whole reception a dream. If you’re looking for a kind, communicative, and quality team to cater your event, we highly recommend you reach out to Huegah. Paul and Angie take incredible care of their couples, and we are so glad they were a part of our wedding.

Huegah was amazing. They set up the most fantastic tasting of all we tried and, no exaggeration, they brought the flavor, style, and creativity we saw for the tasting of 3 to the buffet of 150. They were so collaborative from day 1 and that truly shined in the weeks leading up to the weekend. Paul and Angie are a pleasure to work with, you cannot go wrong with them. We went with veggie forward and fun passed apps for the cocktail hour, family style fresh salads, a HUGE taco bar (it was amazing like seriously so many different, flavorful elements) buffet for dinner, passed small desserts (we don't like cake) during dancing, and late night mac and cheese! They also made our signature cocktails of spicy and regular margaritas. Everything was a hit with our guests and us. They were instrumental in making the day run smoothly. I would work with them again in a heartbeat! -

From first email correspondance to the serving of late night bites on your wedding day, the Huegah Catering team will not disappoint. It’s hard to write this review because Paul, Angie, and their team do everything right.
When we were looking to hire for our April 2022 wedding in early 2021, we had sat down with a couple of catering companies in the Chicago area. It was Paul and Angie’s individualized attention and amazing food that made us choose them.
I’ll do my best to summarize why you should hire Huegah in three parts.
First things first, Huegah only caters one wedding each weekend. This is HUGE. Some other caterers are doing 3 weddings…a night! With Huegah, you can be certain that every little detail, every bite, that guests take will be amazing.
Secondly, Paul and Angie work with you to develop the perfect wedding menu. Paul is an amazing chef and baker can make practically everything you could think of! My husband really wanted mini pizzas at our cocktail hour and chicken in a waffle cone (and falafel in a waffle cone) for late night bites, and Paul executed them with flying colors. Paul, Andrew keeps raving about the chicken and wants more. We may be reaching out to you soon! 😉
Lastly, the people at Huegah are amazing. From the owners to the servers and bartenders, this tight-knit team takes pride in everything they do. Like most couples, my husband and I almost forgot to eat or (neglected to eat) on our wedding day, they made sure we were well taken care of, and when they noticed I didn’t eat my meal, they so kindly boxed one up for me to take home with me the next day.

Paul and Angie are the most power-y of power couples that you most definitely want catering and organizing your wedding or event! They are so much more than caterers, and go above and beyond to make your day perfect and unique to you and your partner's vision. They were flexible and thoughtful in helping us replan our wedding several times as Covid came crashing into our 2020 plans. They practiced the safest levels of food prep and serving, working with us endless on creative solutions to still serve food in fun ways.
After vetting SO many caters for our 150 person (original pre-covid) wedding, Huegah checked every single box that no other caterer could. Fit in our budget, had unique and delicious dishes, provided the plates, linens, etc, printed menus, traveled, adjusted to our tasting needs, and were prompt and professional at every single step. Throughout the year and a half of planning we asked for so many additional things - gold silverware, fancier wine glasses, signature cocktails, upscale plastic flutes for outdoor use, custom bar set up, decor setup in venue, high tops and more. They delivered on everything!
We can't thank them enough for making the planning process seamless, the day special for us and our guests, serving up the most beautifully delicious food and drinks, and their overall professionalism. Thank you thank you! -

The best caterer I’ve ever worked with
Paul and Angie are the BEST choice and I can hardly put into words how perfect they made our day. We held our wedding very last minute - with COVID chaos, we had about 3 weeks to find a caterer, bartender, and servers. Paul handled all 3 seamlessly and him and his wife Angie care so much.
I wanted a cucumber jalepeno margarita to match our amazing taco bar and Paul worked hard the night before the event to get the recipe perfect ahead of the wedding. We had tamales and shrimp cocktail for appetizers, then 4 types of tacos (mahi, steak, chicken, and veggie), rice, beans, and corn salad. He also had tons of amazing salsas. Our guests are still raving.
He and Angie arrived early, were troopers carrying items 3 floors up (!!) and stayed late to make sure everything was spotless. They made our event magical and I hope they can make yours too! -
