Meghan and the HOC team are truly gifted in what they do. Our New Year’s Eve wedding was contemporary, cool and oh so magical. Shimmery linens provided a perfect backdrop for unique place settings that accented the golden chairs. Candlelight cast a soft glow throughout the entire room. Somehow they managed to make the massive ballroom feel intimate and warm. Megan really listened to what my daughter and I envisioned and turned our wish list into reality. -

As a type-A human who struggles with trusting the handoff, and who decided to get married during a global pandemic in less than 10 months, I find it very hard to come up with the words to describe the level of gratitude and awe I have for Meghan and the HOC team. My (now) husband and I booked an open venue because of the location and my excitement of being able to completely transform the venue into our custom space quickly overwhelmed me. It seemed completely impossible to put together a team of vendors and design a space to create the wedding of our dreams. Through word of mouth (and good old instagram) we came across HOC and immediately knew this was the team we wanted. Somehow, the wedding Gods were looking upon us and HOC was available our weekend. From the start, it was clear we were in great hands. Somehow, Meghan was able to weed through all of the crazy thoughts, likes, dislikes, must haves, and everything in between we discussed and brought us a vision board that surpassed our wildest expectations. What could have very well had been a stressful time, instead, was a super exciting time. The team's vision and ability to accommodate our wants and needs, while still being conscious of an ever changing budget, is a testament to their care, attention to detail, creativity, and passion to make every event perfect.
For our wedding, HOC and their team were unable to get access to our venue until the day of our wedding because there had been a wedding there the evening before. Most people would not have been able to accomplish a fraction of the transformation they did in a mere few hours and yet by the time guests were arriving our space had been completely transformed. Six months later and I still am speechless. I wish we had invited people to see the space before the wedding so they could truly appreciate everything Meghan and the HOC team did. Custom drapery and greenery were hung, intricate florals were arranged, an entire lounge area was built, even a kid space enjoyed by those young and old appeared seemingly out of nowhere! And yet amongst all of these huge moments were small details that made it clear this was OUR wedding to celebrate OUR day and OUR relationship.
When it comes to planning a wedding and budget, yes, HOC is definitely not for the those trying to stretch every single dollar. However, you get what you paid for and then some. Design aside, Meghan referred us to multiple vendors, who, truth be told, and in my opinion, were only willing to accommodate us because of their relationship with HOC. For any covid bride, or really any bride who wants the best of the best knows, it can get quite competitive trying to get the vendor of your choice. Working with a team so well know and respected in the industry is another perk of working with HOC. Meghan and her team also provided us with our day of support. Multiple people commented on how calm I was day of and it was all because Meghan and her team were taking such good care of us. There was not a single want or need or request that they were unable to help us with, all while keeping us (and our dogs) well fed and hydrated. It was truly the greatest gift to be able to have the freedom to actually enjoy our wedding.
Weddings have changed and timelines are totally different given the past 2 years and how busy vendors are, but one thing you can depend on is that HOC gets the job done on time and beyond your expectations. Thank you SO much to Meghan and everyone at House of Catherine. It was our absolute pleasure and honor to have been able to celebrate our special day with you all by our side, supporting us every step of the way!!

Meghan and her team were beyond amazing! We were a covid wedding and had to pivot from a venue to a backyard wedding with only a few months and nothing but an empty backyard. Meghan went above and beyond and made it the most amazing experience! Such an amazing and creative team to work with! Highly recommend. -

House of Catherine was truly the most amazing team to work with for our wedding day! I was originally going to be married on October 3, 2020, however with the pandemic, we had to unfortunately move the wedding to October of 2021. With that said, HOC made the transition effortless and seamless for both my husband and I. We were able to relax and fully trust in Meg and her entire team to execute and dazzle us with her stunning work!
She had not only designed my bridal shower and turned the room into a tropical pink paradise, but she elevated our wedding ballroom into something I never could have imagined. The ballroom was completely transformed into a fairytale complete with custom pink floral trees scattered around the room, hundreds of candles, mirrored accents and a show stopping dance floor! From the small details to the large scale operations, nothing went unnoticed. It was more than I could her ever dreamed. The whole night was beyond magical and I would trust HOC with any future events! I not only consider them the most amazing wedding vendor, but very close friends. With the short time we've known one another, I can honestly say they have the biggest hearts, an eye for creativity and thinking outside the box, and the hard work/dedication needed to make it all come to life! -

It's taken me a bit to get around to this review because honestly I wanted to make sure that I was able to do it justice! Let me just start by saying HOC, Meghan and team are true visionaries. They take your Pinterest ideas that you have dreamed about since your engagement (or pre-engagement for some of us) and curate something unique, stylish, never before seen, and yet effortlessly you. From invitations to day of decor, the HOC team makes sure that every part of your wedding day is branded from start to finish. When our guests received our invitations with an emerald green velvet envelope liner, I had many compliments ranging from this is the most beautiful wedding invitation I have ever seen to OMG I can't stop touching the velvet liner lol. I've always thought that a wedding invitation is the first "taste" of what your wedding is going to be like, so why make it basic? Well, you shouldn't. Which is reason 1 of 293794829034 that you should hire House of Catherine. She will design something that will not only blow you away, but also every guest that receives that incredibly breathtaking piece of mail. Next, HOC worked alongside my florist and created an absolute floral dream. Meghan worked with my florist to create 3 unique centerpieces, an out of this world sweetheart table, a mirror moment (which I didn't even request, she just saw the mirror in the venue and had to do it, swoon!), and that escort wall. Let me tell you, the wall is what you need in your life. I got married 5 months ago, and I STILL have guests commenting on the day of decor. Meghan incorporated quotes from Halo by Beyonce, which was our first dance song, that flowed effortlessly. She filled the venue with candles, branded with signage, and designed to make it all come to life. My mom and I still talk about how HOC was the best investment we could have ever made. The attention to detail is flawless and I promise you that you NEED her to take your wedding to the next level from start to finish. If I could do it all over again, House of Catherine would be my first call. -

We started working with HOC in summer of 2019 while planning out October 2020 wedding. Obviously, the universe had other plans for our wedding and we were forced to re-plan twice. We also had a venue and date change. HOC didn't miss a beat, they assured us they could pivot and essentially re-plan our wedding in 3 months when we had a small window of safety in Spring 2021, and they delivered! Meghan and team listened to our wants and needs (many, many. many emails, calls, texts) and provided an amazing vision that came to life beautifully. HOC does an amazing job of adding special touches throughout the event that you maybe would not have considered but ended up being the best part of the wedding. No details were spared and we appreciated how cohesive everything was. From the flower direction they provided to the florist, to the tablescapes, rugs, couch and table rentals, seating chart, and special decorative items, everything worked beautifully together. We still get compliments on how beautiful our wedding was and it's all thanks to Meghan and her team of little creative geniuses. I couldn't recommend HOC enough and look forward to when we can work together again. -

Meghan and her team at HoC designed our invitations and also our entire Day Of design. We loved her creativity, ideas and final products so much! We went through 3 iterations on our invitations and she was very flexible in incorporating my design ideas as well. The final product was so gorgeous and unique - we got so many compliments from guests! We carried the invite suite colors, designs and monogram throughout our entire wedding. Many guests noticed the central theme and LOVED it! For the day of - we loved every design!! There were a few last minute changes on her end for the designs, but everything came out great! She even created some personalized monogram stickers for our fudge favors very last minute for us. Her designs were so unique and definitely set the feel for our wedding starting all the way at the beginning with the invites, which is exactly what we wanted. -

House of Catherine is a group of powerful women who have a gift of designing / creating some very unique decor + event branding for weddings, showers, etc. The sky is the limit. Looking back at my wedding, I do wish I chose another vendor, though. I have put off this review for 2.5 months & didn’t really want to type it all up bc it would bring me back to the saddest parts of the best day ever.
I contracted w/ HOC in Oct 2019 (original wedding date of 11/7/20 moved to 11/13/21). HOC was a pretty small business at the time; but as 2 years passed, they had grown a ton. I strongly, strongly, STRONGLY feel that if u aren’t a couple w/ a massive budget willing to spend 10s of thousands AND/OR have a large social media presence w/ 10s of thousands of followers, u are not a priority. See below.
a. On 7/13/21, I kindly requested my invitations be mailed out the week of Labor Day. This was acknowledged by the HOC Team who would "do their best to make it happen." I was supposed to receive my invitation proofs week of 7/26/21. Then August goes by... nothing. Labor Day goes by... nothing. 9/9/21, it hits me that I am 2 months out of my big day, & I have zero invitation proofs in &. Was I supposed to be in charge here? Confused & angry that they weren't doing their job bc they were too busy attending to other larger-budget clients who have a big social media presence, I got left in the dirt. But they made sure my final payment was paid on 9/18/21.
b. U are offered a venue walk thru to go over ur wedding day design. I was having trouble scheduling a day that worked for HOC & I. While HOC was nice about it, they offered to skip the walk thru. But I am not paying $8k to a vendor who offers to skip the walk thru bc they have previously worked w/ my venue before.
More importantly, on the day of the walk thru, Meghan (owner of HOC) walked into Ashford Estate & TBH I literally never met her before/didn’t know it was Meghan since I never saw her face. It could have been another HOC employee bc I had been talking to at least 2-3 diff employees via email. I introduced my wedding coordinator to Meghan, but stumbled before saying Meghan bc I didn’t know it was her! & she looked at me & paused & was like Meghan! It was so awkward & uncomfortable in front of my parents/coordinator. TBH, Meghan had an attitude walking thru Ashfords front door like she had better places to be. Really disappointing & nothing like what I expected from her. Where was the excitement?
c. Its Sept & I have my Zoom call w/ my florist & HOC. The work that got done needed to get done, but again, I just felt like Meghan was off. No smiles, nothing cheery as I sign on to Zoom knowing we are 8 weeks out. Barely a hello! II was engaged 2/2/19, so this was a long time coming & was getting excited. But tbh, she was killing my vibe a bit. Maybe it’s her personality but dang.
d. It’s Oct & just 3ish weeks before my wedding. I then receive my “day-of” proofs which include personalized napkins, coffee stirrers, gold plated menus, etc. First – I am a little nervous bc it’s 3 weeks out & theyre just showing me my design proofs which I get to change things, if preferred. But they were known for pulling off everything on time, so I tried not to stress. Second, I then get a bill for like $1300 more dollars. My jaw drops. I thought I was paid in full! I thought all these items were part of my contract signed 2 years ago?? NOPE. I argued that the $800+ gold-plated menus that were designed was an unexpected bill. Ultimately, I was comped the gold-plated menus bc the HOC worker did not inform me of their hefty price. I did end up paying for the extras such as the personalized napkins/coffee stirrers, etc.
e. Last & certainly the most heart wrenching. During the walk thru in August, Meghan had a great idea of a white carpet down the aisle of the barn. & I was all for it! She painted a picture of getting married w/ tons of candles, at sun down, the chandelier hanging down (rented from florist), & a beautiful white carpet down the middle. But the day of my wedding, they open the barn doors, I am ready to walk down w/ my dad, & THERE IS NO WHITE CARPET. 100% the most disappointing part of the entire wedding day. I get sad thinking about how gorgeous it could have looked in my photos. & looking back, the white carpet was never mentioned again (phone/email, etc.) after the August walk thru.
Was it my job to make sure they were doing their job? No. Do I want to hear that u took on “too many clients” in 2021 & are so stressed u don’t know if u will make it thru years end? No. Not my problem. We are all stressed, we are all tired, we are all in a pandemic making the best of the cards we were dealt. We are all busy so frankly, I don’t want to hear it. It’s literally ur job.
Overall, I’d choose another vendor unless u have an unlimited budget or are insta-famous where HOC can feed off ur followers & grow their client base. I felt so undervalued by this company, even though my wedding was 6 figures. I felt so unimportant. All of the wedding photos that I tagged every vendor in, including HOC, were never reposted or reshared by HOC. But if I had 30k followers, HOC would be all over that. It’s a dog-eat-dog world, & theyre playing the game. To those who have made it this far in my review, I hope u make the right decision. -
